Join in to celebrate 31 years of the American Disabilities Act with Boston's united disability community. This ADA Day, we celebrate accessibility improvements and strides in advocacy made in the last year. With remarks from Mayor Janey and a gesture of gratitude for the Emergency Medical Services team, this lively event was filled with an uplifting sense of community and pride.

I want to thank everyone for joining us today here in copley square to celebrate 31 years since the americans with disabilities act was signed into law. This event is normally held on city hall plaza, but city hall plaza is under renovation to become fully ada compliance.

I am excited to announce that this year the city of boston will be using covert recovery funding to hire our first full-time in-house asl interpreter.

We are here today to celebrate to celebrate one another, to celebrate the advocacy and the resilience of the disability community and to celebrate the work of the city of boston's, emergency medical services and, while covet continues to impact boston, I'm very proud of the resilience that the disability community continues to show.
