On a bright, sunny North End morning, the neighborhood joins Mayor Walsh for a special community Coffee Hour as the renovated Paul Revere Mall, aka "The Prado," officially reopens to the public. Very early on the mayor of Boston recognized the importance of the Prado and Paul Revere mall, not only for the upcoming anniversaries that Boston is going to be celebrating, but how it's really at the heart of the civic life at the North End I first got.

Elected mayor I came here, I was here on a Sunday morning for something and I was looking around and I was looking at the bricks being up and missing. I was looking at the water fountain Brown I was looking at his face. That should be inviting and welcoming for the people of this neighborhood and we sat down, and we say: okay, let's make an investment. This park is going to be a lot more.

A lot more welcoming and I know that a lot of the residents for the North End will been here for a long time said to me. We got to do something we got. We got to make some improvements here at the Prado, so this is for you. So congratulations to all of you.
