The Swan Boats are back! Mayor Janey joins Commissioner Woods and the Paget family for the first Swan Boat ride of the 2021 Spring season at the Boston Public Garden Lagoon.

We're here celebrating the 144th season of the swan boats it started in 1877 and the same family has continuously run the swan boats for the past 144 seasons. So I'd like to give it up for the padgett family. That's here with us today,.

It is a pleasure to be here to open up the first swan boat ride of the season. This is an amazing day in the city of boston. We've had such a difficult last 14 15 months, but this right here is a sign of hope of renewal. This is one of my favorite places in the city of boston.

This too symbolizes the need for joy in our city. We are launching a joy agenda in boston for too long this past year we have been in isolation and devastation, and so we need to be intentional about creating opportunities and creating space for.
