Join in as the City of Boston kicks off the 2021 summer season by reopening the Boston Common Frog Pond after a year hiatus due to COVID-19.

We're so happy to have everyone back out here after a year off of the frog pond and we're so glad to get everybody together. I am particularly excited to be here. I played in frog pond as a kid in the 1970s.

I brought my daughter here as a young single mom to play and to cool off in the hot summer months, and I bring my grandchildren here to frog pond, so it has been at least four generations of my fam experienced frog pond, and it is so delightful to see the families out here today.

This is a joyful time, so I want to encourage us all to continue to be intentional, about creating space and opportunities for families to come together for people who are visiting boston, to come together to spread joy and to have wonderful things to celebrate three two one happy summer, everybody please go.
