From YouTube: Jim Rice/Peter's Park Field Community Briefing
Description
Date: December 7, 2022
A
Trick
line
in,
as
you
just
saw,
tonight's
meeting
is
being
recorded,
but
my
name
is
Nathan
Frazee
I'm,
the
project
manager
from
Boston
parks
overseeing
the
improvements
to
Peters,
Park
Little
League
field
and
Jim
Rice
baseball
field
at
Ramsey
Park.
Next.
A
As
you
just
got
notified
tonight's
meeting
is
being
recorded,
the
recording
will
be
posted
on
the
project
page.
So
if
you
were
not
able
to
attend
tonight
or
friends
or
family
weren't
able
to
attend,
you
could
certainly
share
that
with
them.
A
I
have
to
get
it
there
we
go
next
with
that
being
said,
we
want
to
ensure
that
we
have
a
pleasant
conversation
tonight
and
that
everybody
feels
welcome
and
are
comfortable
sharing,
their
comments,
questions
and
feedback.
We
ask
that
you're,
respectful
and
mindful
of
each
other's
time
when
we're
only
here
for
an
hour
and
a
half.
B
A
Let's
keep
the
questions
and
comments,
Project,
Specific
and
on
point,
and
please
wait
for
all
attendees
to
have
the
opportunity
to
ask
a
question
before
you
ask
a
second
one.
My
contact
information
is
here
on
the
screen.
So
if,
for
whatever
reason,
you're
not
able
to
speak
or
you
have
want
additional
feedback
feel
free
to
send
me
an
email
next,
so
I
think
we're
all
Zoom
experts
at
this
point,
but
just
really
quick
at
the
end
of
the
towards
the
end
of
the
meeting.
A
When
we
get
to
the
comments
and
questions
period,
we're
going
to
ask
if
you're
comfortable
to
turn
your
camera
on,
that's
the
camera
icon
and
then
the
microphone
icon.
If
you
can,
when
we
get
to
the
question
and
answer
period,
if
you
can
click
your
hand
to
raise
your
hand,
we
will
then
allow
you
to
unmute
yourself
and
ask
your
question
and
then,
if
you
could
kindly
mute
yourself
after
asking
that
question
and
I,
don't
see
anybody,
that's
calling
in
for
my
phone.
So
we're
good
on
that
all
right!
A
Next,
tonight's
agenda:
we're
gonna,
introduce
the
project
team,
we're
going
to
go
through
a
quick
overview
of
the
project,
we're
going
to
discuss
what
we
have
observed
as
the
existing
conditions.
A
We're
going
to
then
present
some
thoughts
on
that
and
then
we're
going
to
have
a
listening
and
discussion
on
that
and
our
listening
discussion
here
is
going
to
be
a
little
bit
more
interactive
where
my
designers
are
going
to
have
plans
for
each
site
where
we
can
really
pick
and
pull
and
move
things
around.
So
we're
gonna,
you
know
be
listening
real
time
to
your
feedback
and
adjusting
the
plan
supportingly.
A
Next,
as
I
said,
my
name
is
Nathan
Frazee
I'm,
the
project
manager,
I,
have
my
email,
and
my
phone
number
listed
here.
I
also
have
on
the
call
Christine
brandeo,
who
is
the
parks
department,
Outreach
coordinator
in
external
Affairs,
she's,
really
good
for
friends,
groups
or
anything
like
that
from
our
design.
Team
tonight
is
stantec
and
they
on
the
call
is
Shane
and
Josh
who
are
the
project
manager
and
the
sports
landscape
architect.
A
Next,
so
we're
we're
here
tonight
in
December
for
the
community
meeting,
what
we're
hoping
to
get
is
General
consensus
on
the
proposed
improvements
for
these
two
locations.
I'll
have
stantec
work
throughout
the
winter
months
to
get
these
two
appropriate
levels
that
we
can
put
the
project
out
for
bidding
and
what
that
means
is
putting
the
project
out
so
contractors
can
bid
on
it.
A
We
have
a
fairly
aggressive
schedule
trying
to
get
construction
to
start
in
the
spring
and
the
whole
reason
for
that
is
for
Fields
projects,
especially
with
natural
Turf,
which
is
real
grass
growing.
We
realistically
need
at
least
a
full
growing
season
before
they're
established
enough
for
plane,
so
we're
targeting
an
opening
and
in
anticipation
of
Baseball
and
Little
League
use
of
spring
of
2024,
so
where
we
have
a
pretty
aggressive
schedule
to
try
and
meet
that
we
have
an
estimated
construction
cost
for
Peters
Park
as
400
000
and
Ramsey
is
770
000..
A
A
So
what
goes
into
park
design
and
obviously
these
are
ball
fields,
so
they're
a
little
bit
unique
in
that
they're,
not
an
entire
park,
but
it's
still
the
Gen
same
general
principle.
A
A
So
just
looking
at
some
city
of
Boston
priorities
again,
these
are
General
priorities,
so
maybe
more
applicable
to
larger
Parks
than
specifically
ball
fields,
but
expanding
walkable
access,
addressing
Equity
climate
resiliency,
Health,
Housing
and
Community
Building.
Next,
our
parks
department
goals,
some
are
very
similar
access
and
availability
to
all
diverse,
balanced
and
efficient
mix
of
use,
meaningful
and
inclusive
community
engagement,
adapting
in
resilient
Landscapes
and
then
promoting
connections.
A
B
Nate
again,
my
name
is
Shane
luji
I'm,
a
landscape
architect
here
at
stantec
and
I've
got
Josh
here
with
me
as
well.
I
want
to
introduce
yourself
Josh
sure.
B
Thanks
so
we're
going
to
review
both
the
fields
today,
Jim
race
field,
as
well
as
Peter's
field,
and
we're
going
to
start
off
just
with
our
site
observations
for
each
field.
B
First,
one
we're
going
to
get
into
is
Jim
Rice,
Field,
Jim
Rice's.
As
most
of
you
probably
know
it's
adjacent
to
part
of
part
of
Ramsay
Park,
it's
along
Washington,
Street
and
intersection
of
Ball
Street
and
Shaman
Ave,
it's
a
full-size
baseball
field
and
we're
just
going
to
go
through
some
of
the
existing
conditions.
Here.
This
is
the
nice
entry
gate
that
we're
not
touching.
It's
all
going
to
stay,
as
is
it
was
recently
repointed.
B
B
You
know
constructed
of
CMU
block
and
you
know
they're
really
a
Haven
for
people
to
hang
out
and
sleep,
and
do
you
know
unintentional
things
here
or
unsavory
things.
So
these
are
one
scope
that
we
definitely
want
to
look
at
totally.
Removing
and
renovating.
B
The
entire
infield,
as
well
as
the
outfields,
you
know,
I've,
seen
better
days.
So
this
is
another
major
item
that
we're
looking
to
renovate
under
this
scope.
Also,
you
can
see
in
this
image
is
the
backstop,
which
is
a
bit
of
an
outdated
structure,
so
we'd
be
looking
at
also
fully
replacing
the
backstop
here.
B
This
is
one
of
the
bullpens,
that
is,
you
know,
very
worn
out
and
overgrown
with
vegetation.
The
fencing
has
seen
much
better
days,
and
it's
just
very
worn
out
so
we'll
be
looking
at
totally
renovating
this
portion
and
we'd
also
we're
also
considering
potentially
eliminating
some
of
the
fencing,
that's
along
the
back
of
sidewalk
here
to
help
open
up
the
park,
possibly
with
some
wood
guard
rail
in
lieu
of
the
the
chain
link
fence.
B
This
is
where
all
the
storage
is
for
the
field.
There's
a
mixture
of
different
containers.
You
know
of
different
levels
of
disrepair
so
to
help
make
everything
consistent
with
Boston
Parks
we'd
be
looking
at.
You
know,
removing
these
storage
containers
and
replacing
them
with
something
that's
more
unified
and
consistent
with
the
current
development
in
the
city.
B
B
So
this
is
a
diagram
just
of
an
aerial
view
of
the
park
just
to
give
everyone.
You
know
a
clear
understanding
of
where
the
proposed
limit
of
work
is.
The
scope
is
generally
going
to
be
everything
that's
associated
just
with
the
baseball
field.
B
Again
we're
not
going
to
be
doing
any
renovations
to
the
building
potentially
might
be
looking
to
get.
You
know
better
access
for
some
hose
bib
connections
and
potentially
looking
at
you
know
the
perimeter
here,
that's
just
beyond
the
fence
line
of
the
baseball
field,
but
that
that's
going
to
be
it,
and
this
is
just
a
diagram
going
over
mostly
what
I
just
discussed,
but
just
starting
from
top
left
I
didn't
touch
on
the
lights.
B
B
The
entire
perimeter
of
the
Outfield
fence
we'd
be
looking
at
replacing
because
it's
outdated
and
worn
there's
an
existing
Bullpen
along
the
first
Baseline,
that's
in
okay
shape,
but
there
could
be
other
opportunities
for
maybe
a
batting
cage
and
replace
of
it
or
another
location.
You'll
see
that
in
the
next
slide,
with
some
of
our
initial
design
thoughts.
B
There's.
You
know
this
open,
Green
Space
here,
that's
very
underutilized
and
also
limits
a
lot
of
good
shade
from
shade
trees.
So
those
are
some
things
we're
looking
to
improve
upon
again.
These
two
dugouts
are
very
outdated
and
need
to
be
replaced
as
well
as
the
backstop.
B
The
existing
spectator
seating
just
recently
learned
that
these
were
actually
removed
because
people
are
using
them.
You
know
as
shelter-
and
you
know
loitering
in
here,
so
we're
going
to
study
some
other
alternatives
to
spectator
seating,
because
we
we
understand
that
that's
still
something
that's
needed
by
the
community
for
during
games
the
ball
net
system.
That's
here
it
is
operational,
but
the
security
of
mechanisms
are
raised
and
lower.
The
netting
is
something
it
needs
to
get
improved
upon
pretty
much.
B
Anybody
can
go
in
there
and
and
access
it
right
now
and
you
know,
raise
and
lower
the
the
net
itself
again.
These
are
where
all
the
mixed
storage
containers
are
that
we
want
to
look
at
replacing
and
upgrading
there's
a
gravel
service
drive
and
a
gate
here.
That
is
it's
operational,
but
it
just
leads
to
this.
You
know
dirt
gravel
entrance
and
potentially
looking
to
you
know,
repair
that
and
possibly
replace
it
with
a
paved
surface.
Just
so
it
stays
cleaner
and
there's.
B
You
know
better
maintenance
on
it,
and
this
is
the
the
bullpen
that's
very
worn
out
and
outdated,
and
it's
even
oversized
so
we
might
consider
you
know
revising
this
to
a
more
appropriate
size.
Now.
This
is
where
the
existing
wall
is
the
little
mini
green
monster.
B
B
Just
within
you
know
the
limited
work
that
we'd
want
to
also
also
fully
assess
for
either
replacement
or
trimming
and
maintenance
and
the
scoreboard
we
understand
it's,
it's
not
operational,
so
we'll
be
looking
to
potentially
replace
that
and
I'm
going
to
hand
it
over
to
Josh
it's
going
to
get
into
a
little
more
detail
of
some
of
these
proposed
improvements,
cool
all.
C
Right
thanks,
Shane
I,
guess:
I'll
start
from
the
same
spot
that
you
did.
If
you
started
over
in
that
corner.
On
the
left
hand,
so
Shane
went
over
the
analysis
of
you
know
what
we
saw
out
there
so
I'm
going
to
kind
of
go
over.
What's
going
to
be
proposed,
so
yeah
Athletic,
Field
lighting.
We
definitely
want
to
see
you
know
what
we
can
do
for
upgrades
to
that
and
possibly
replacing
that
with
an
LED
system.
We're
going
to
look
into
that.
C
But
right
now
we're
just
not
sure
if
that's
really
going
to
be
in
the
budget,
but
there's
definitely
something
on
the
list.
C
And
then,
if
we
go
over
to
the
fence,
the
new
fence,
with
safety,
capturing
right
so
we'd
be
replacing
the
existing
fence
with
the
New
Black
chain
link
fence
with
a
safety
cap
on
there
to
just
you
know:
some
people
use
it
as
a
safety
cap,
then
also
it's
a
good
designation
of
home
runs
or
foul
balls
too,
and
then,
if
we
go
over
to
the
repair
utility
area,
this
area
was
was
in
pretty
rough
shape
as
as
Shane
mentioned.
C
So,
if
there's
anything
that
we
can
do
we're
going
to
look
and
do
a
little
bit
more
of
you
know
possibly
just
making
that
look
a
little
bit,
you
know
a
little
nicer
and
then
adding
some
trees
in
that
corner
too,
and
then
trees.
Two,
we
want
to
add.
Wherever
we
can,
we
want
to
add
a
couple
extra
shade,
trees,
so
you'll
kind
of
see
along
Ball
Street
we're
also
going
to
be
adding
more
trees
and
possibly
even
more
than
that
too.
C
Just
that
way,
it
kind
of
gives
a
little
bit
of
a
distinction
distinction
between
you
know
along
the
street
and
then
the
hotel
and
that's
across
the
street
as
well.
It's
just
kind
of
greens
things
up
a
little
bit.
C
We
do
have
that
space.
We
call
the
added
program
to
be
determined.
You
know
that's
something
that
we
can
kind
of.
If
we
can
make
it
in
the
budget.
We
can
kind
of
talk
to
you
guys
about
today.
C
If
there's
any
ideas
or
suggestions,
we're
definitely
open
for
that,
and
then
we
have
the
potential
for
a
new
batting
cage.
So
you
know
just
updating
the
existing
Bullpen
to
be
a
batting
cage,
slash
Bullpen,
possibly,
and
then
we
go
into
the
new
team
areas.
As
Shane
mentioned,
the
team
areas
are
pretty
old,
so
what
we'd
be
doing
is
basically,
instead
of
having
the
CMU
block
wall,
we
would
have
a
chain
link
fence,
Team
area
with
a
shade
structure.
C
So
that's
similar
to
a
lot
of
the
other
Boston
Parks
projects
like
Smith
playground
and
others
too,
and
then
we
would
replace
the
existing
in-field
mix,
especially
in
between
the
actual
infield
and
the
foul
pole,
areas
where
we
would
actually
just
be
putting
in
natural
brass.
C
We've
heard
that
this
is
an
area
of
washout
on
actually
both
with
the
first
and
the
third
Baseline,
where
it
washes
out
into
the
team
areas
or
into
the
bleacher
areas.
So
we
just
kind
of
want
to
help
clean
that
up
and
and
then
it's
also
a
little
easier
maintenance
with
the
natural
grass
as
opposed
to
having
in-field
mix
in
there.
And
then
we
do
have
replace
infield
oops.
Sorry,
new
backstop
as
Shane
had
mentioned
brand
new
black
black
chain
link
fence
backstop
spectator
seating.
C
You
know
at
bad
activities,
so
we're
going
to
have
some
discussions
on
that
and
some
creative
ways,
hopefully
that
we
can
kind
of
come
up
with
some
Solutions
on
that
the
existing
structure,
the
building,
we're
not
going
to
be
touching
and,
as
Shane
mentioned,
we're
going
to
be
replacing
the
ball
net
system
or
not
replacing
upon
that
system,
but
more
just
making
a
better
connection
at
the
base
there.
C
So
there's
no
pass
balls
over
there
and
it's
just
a
little
bit
more
for
maintenance
reasons,
and
then
the
storage
units
will
be
replacing
with
more
standards
at
standardized
storage
unit.
Instead
of
having
those
two
trailers,
it
would
be
a
more
you
know
a
square
structure
there
and
then
a
long
Ball
Street
we
would
have.
C
We
would
take
out
that
existing
chain
link
fence
and
possibly
put
in
a
wood
guard
rail
along
that
edge,
so
that
kind
of
opens
up
to
the
field
gives
it
a
little
bit
more
of
inviting
inviting
feel
and
then
for
the
bullpen.
We
reduce
that
down
to
probably
just
one
Bull
Pen
batting
cage
as
opposed
to
what's
out
there
now,
and
then
we
would
just
have
a
better
maintenance
access
where
it
says:
pave
service
Drive.
C
C
So
there'd
be
a
really
renovation
with
that
and
then
on
the
Outfield,
along
where
it
says,
309
on
the
left
field,
help
field
we're
going
to
repair
and
replace
the
Outfield
wall,
possibly
putting
in
you
know,
windscreen
type
of
materials.
C
So
it's
a
little
bit
more
see-through
in
the
field
and
it's
not
you
know
totally
separating
out
Shawna,
Street
or
shama
nav
to
the
field
itself,
and
then
we
replace
or
take
a
look
at
replacing
the
unhealthy
trees
at
all
occasions
around
the
park
and
then
installing
a
new
scoreboard
and
I
think
that
wraps
everything
up
for
for
Jim
Rice
Shane
was
there
anything
I
missed
there
I,
don't
think
so.
I
think
we
got
everything
so.
C
Discussion
afterwards,
oh
yeah,
here's
a
list
here
but
we'll
have
a
discussion
afterwards
to
kind
of
see.
If
there's
any
other
suggestions
or
needs,
you
know
that
the
community
was
looking
for
and
obviously
the
main
goal
is
to
kind
of
renovate
the
field
itself.
So
we're
also
at
a
limited
budget.
But
you
know,
if
there's
anything,
that
we
can
kind
of
think
of
now
and
see
what
it
costs
and
if
it
can
be
included
in
a
project
that
might
be
something
worth
noting
foreign.
C
So
Shane
went
over
the
site
observation,
so
this
is
just
bullet
points
of
a
lot
of
the
the
observations.
So
I
don't
know.
If
you
want
to
go
over
this
one
more
time
or
if
people
just
want
to
kind
of
see
it
in
a
in
a
list.
B
And
we
can
move
on
to
Peter's
field,
I,
think
and
then
maybe
we
can
have
a
you
know,
chat
about
both
of
them
at
the
end,
all
right
so
we'll
move
over
to
Peters,
which
is
you
know
further
north
along
Washington
Street,
it's
at
Peters
Park.
B
This
is
a
little
league
fields
and
again
the
scope
of
this
project
is
just
going
to
be
on
the
fields.
All
the
work
will
be
Associated.
You
know
with
just
any
kind
of
infield
improvements.
You
know
we
only
looked
at.
You
know
the
the
fencing
power
poles
and
any
Associated.
You
know
amenities
with
the
field
itself.
B
This
first
one
here
shows
I
understand
this
is
a
relatively
new
batting
cage
and
it
looked
like
it
was
in
relatively
good
shape.
B
So
we
don't
really
have
too
many
thoughts
on
improving
that
this
is
technically
outside
of
the
scope,
but
it
just
shows
you
know
for
location
purposes
where
the
field
itself
is
first
item
here.
Is
this
utility
cabinet?
That
is
not
in
the
best
location?
You
know
it's
almost
in
the
playing
field.
You
know
it's
within
foul
territory,
but
it's
not
an
ideal
spot
for
a
structure
like
this,
as
well
as
these
in-grade
I
believe
these
are
irrigation,
covers
and
there's
actually
a
drain,
I
think
somewhere
nearby
as
well.
B
That's
in
the
foul
territory.
That's
not
ideal
for
applying
conditions.
This
is
where
the
there's
some
stone
dust.
You
know
bulk
storage
as
well
as
some
infield
mix
it's
in
the
center
of
the
Outfield
and
we're
just
noting
that
it's
not
really
an
ideal
location,
so
we
will
look
at
possibly
another
location
for
this
type
of
material
to
be
stored.
B
B
So
we're
considering
you
know
replacing
this
backstop
as
well
as
the
fencing
The
Outfield
is,
you
know,
definitely
needs
some
love.
You
know
some
TLC,
there
is
an
irrigation
system,
but
it
needs
it
needs
some
repair,
definitely
seen
better
days.
You
can
also
see
the
foul
pole
here
is
you
know,
dated
and
worn
so
we'll
be
looking
at
replacing
that
this
is
a
green
space.
That's
outside
the
fence
line
the
previously
had
an
installation
installed,
but
it
was
removed.
B
So
this
is
a
location
for
a
potential
additional
space,
or
you
know
side
amenities
to
be
planned
out.
B
This
is
the
existing
team
area.
It's
it
shows
that
you
know
the
the
fence
itself
is
is
worn
out,
so
we
look
into
you,
know
renovate
these
fences.
The
shade
structure
itself
is
fairly
new
just
needs
a
little
bit
of
touch-up
paint
on
it
and
the
scoreboard
we're
looking
to
you,
know
it's
outdated
and
we're
looking
to
replace
this
one
as
well
and
potentially
have
it
be
dedicated
to
former
former
coach
I
believe
this
is
a
diagram.
B
You
know
showing
the
proposed
limit
of
work
for
the
project
and
a
summary
of
our
findings:
the
outdated,
foul
poles,
existing
batting
cage.
That's
in
good
condition.
This
is
the
stone
dust
and
infield
mix
stockpile
area
existing
flagpole,
which
we're
we're
not
going
to
touch
it's
it's
in
good
shape.
This
is
where
the
scoreboard
is
located.
There
is
a
new
stone
dust
path
here
that
was
recently
installed,
but
we're
not
going
to
be
touching
this.
B
There
are
some
trees
that
need
some
assessment
and
possibly
you
know
get
some
tree
limbs
pruned
up
and
some
further
maintenance
because
they
provide
some
good
shade.
It's
much
needed
out
here.
This
is
the
open,
Green
Space
that
has
potential,
for
you
know
a
new
design
or
some
additional
usage.
These
are
the
two
shade
structures.
I
just
need
a
little
bit
of
paint
repair.
B
The
backstop
here
is,
you
know,
worn
out
and
needs
a
little
bit
of
possibly
needs
replacement,
and
this
is
the
utility
cabinet-
that's
just
outside
of
foul
territory
here,
and
this
is
there's
a
fence
line
along
this
Edge
that
you
know,
is
also
worn
out
and
needs
repair.
C
D
C
So
similar
to
Jim
Rice,
we'll
start
with
the
field,
you
know
renovating
the
fields
we
know
there's
lips
and
systems
pretty
outdated,
so
new
irrigation
system,
new
fallopals
and
a
new
fence
on
the
Outfield
and
then
along
the
where
Shane
had
mentioned
along
Washington
Street
renovate
that
green
space
and
then
bring
in
the
sorry
a
disrepair
touch
up
the
shade
structures.
C
The
existing
shade
structures
give
sorry
the
bleachers
are
going
to
remain
out
on
site,
but
we're
going
to
be
replacing
the
backstop
area,
and
then
we
do
want
to
get
rid
of
the
utility
cabinet
to
make
that
or
not
get
rid
of
it,
but
get
it
out
of
the
field
of
play
or
the
field
itself.
C
You
can
definitely
a
safety
issue
and
and
then
relocate
the
stone
dust
and
infield
mix,
stockpile
and
kind
of
dress
that
up
a
little
bit
more
I'm
gonna
give
some
some
thought
to
that,
so
that
one's
pretty
straightforward,
batting
cage
is
going
to
remain.
C
It's
gonna
assess
the
trees
as
Shane
had
mentioned
so
yeah
I
mean
it's
pretty
much
a
you
know:
renovation
in
kind.
It's
like
nothing
too
crazy.
I
mean
change.
A
C
D
B
Again,
just
a
summary
slide
here:
anybody
likes
or
prefers
to
see
stuff
written
out
in
bullet
points,
and
now
we're
just
on
to
where
the
product
page
is
Project
page.
Rather,
you
know
I
think
everybody
knows
where
this
is
now.
This
is
back
to
you
Nate
I,
guess,
right,
yeah.
A
Can
we
flip
back
to
the
the
proposed
plans?
Let's
go
back
to
the
Jim
Rice
one,
yes,
and
then
we
can
open
it
up
for
discussion
for
what
we
have
I.
Think
what
our
best
course
of
action
here
is,
let's,
as
a
group
agree
to
discuss,
Jim
Rice
we'll
go
through
this,
rather
than
flipping
back
and
forth
a
ton
on
slides
and
so
at
first
I
want
to
open
up
to
Rochelle
from
representative
Miranda's
office.
D
Thank
you
Nathan
and
thank
you
everyone
for
such
an
informed
presentation.
Again.
My
name
is
Rochelle
and
I'm
with
Senator
elect
Miranda's
office.
I,
don't
want
to
take
up
too
much
time,
but
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
for
holding
space
tonight.
A
Great
thank
you.
Thanks
now,
I
know
we
have
some
very,
very
active
members
in
the
community
that
know
a
lot
about
these
sites.
So
anybody
else
want
to
make
comments
about
the
or
suggestions
or
input
on
the
proposed
Mike
I
think
you
can
unmute
yourself
right
now
with
you.
F
Nope
am
I
there
yeah.
Can
you
hear
me
yeah,
perfect,
perfect?
Thank
you
guys,
all
of
you
so
much
for
all
of
this
I
run.
South
Bend,
baseball
who's,
one
of
the
principal
users
at
Jim,
Rice
and
Peter's
Park
and
I
spent
I
spent
a
lot
of
time
at
the
fields
so
I
make
a
lot
of
the
stuff
that
you
guys
have
addressed,
especially
at
Jim.
Rice
is
is
great.
F
F
The
large
green
one
is
used
by
the
football
program
that
uses
the
field
in
the
late
summer
and
fall
the
gray
one
actually
contains
a
very
old
tractor
that
has
never
been
used.
That
was
put
there
I
think
initially,
when
the
field
was
maybe
first
redone
back
in
99
and
just
can
just
can
that
doesn't
need
to
be
replaced
or
that
it
belongs
to
Parks
and
Recreation,
and
so
I
would
expect
that
the
football
program
would
want
storage.
F
We
would
obviously
like
to
have
storage
if
it's
that
same
storage
unit
that
we
have
or
something
new.
That
is
fine.
Other
than
that,
the
the
most
of
the
stuff
I
I
mean
I
I,
know
I
emailed
you
today
and
pretty
much
everything
that
I
put
in
there
has
been
addressed,
which
is
great.
The
the
seating
behind
home
plate
is
locked
out
of
necessity,
it's
used
when
we
have
games
there.
We
have
the
key
to
it.
F
We
allow
you
know
people
to
go
back
there,
but
if
we
leave
it
unlocked
because
of
the
shelter
that
the
building
provides,
it
is
like
the
the
dugouts
are
a
Haven
for
people
to
do
things
that
they
don't
want
prying
eyes
to
see.
So
we
would
like
that
seating
to
still
be
there.
We
would
need
to
lock
it,
but
we
definitely
do
use
it.
F
Okay,
as.
F
As
far
as
the
lighting
goes,
so
you
have
the
two
new
light:
stanchions
and
then
the
there
are
several
older
ones.
The
new
ones
were
put
in
I,
don't
know
five
or
six
years
ago,
because
one
of
the
older
ones
that
was
in
that
area
failed.
F
They
replaced
basically
every
light
bulb
on
the
old
ones
before
last
season
and
I
think
just
about
all
of
them
still
work.
A
couple
might
have
gone
out
during
the
season,
but
the
lighting
there
at
the
moment,
at
least
as
far
as
the
the
function
of
it
is
very
good.
Whether
or
not
those
are
you
know
no
longer
up
to
code
or
anything
that
that
I
can't
say.
F
One
thing
I
would
say
is
that
if
you're
going
to
talk
about
replacing
lighting
moving
lighting,
the
one
that
is
directly
in
center
field,
so
yeah
right?
Where
that,
where
your
pointer
is,
if
there's
going
to
be
new
lighting,
and
it
would
be
possible
to
move
that
one
or
put
a
new
one
in
that
area,
that
one
itself
is
a
visual,
it's
right
in
the
eyes
of
the
batter
and
the
and
the
catcher.
So
it
you
know
they
can
see
and
they're
fine,
but
it
does
present
problems,
sometimes
yeah.
F
That
makes
sense
beyond
that,
the
you
know:
I
love
the
idea
of
the
bullpen
love
the
idea
of
of
the
back
of
the
batting
cage.
F
The
grass
in
the
foul
area
is
extremely
important
because,
as
you
probably
saw
the
dirt
just
runs
out
onto
the
concrete
area
outside
the
field,
the
dugouts
are
awful
to
be
replaced,
so
I
mean
I,
it's
all
great,
very
excited.
So
thank
you.
F
So
the
the
purpose
of
the
green,
the
point
of
the
green
wall
is
when
the
field
was
rededicated
in
99,
when
the
All-Star
game
was
here
was
to
be
a
mini,
Fenway
Park
and
to
dedicate
it
to
Jim
Rice.
So
I
think
that,
if
it's
possible
to
replace
it
with
a
similar
structure,
rather
than
a
fence
with
a
windscreen
on
it.
F
Just
because
you
know
it
is
just
for
the
for
the
sentimental
Nostalgia
whatever
you
want
to
call
it,
but
for
it
to
sort
of
mimic
the
idea
of
Fenway,
even
though,
obviously
it's
about
an
eighth
the
size
of
the
wall
at
Fenway.
F
F
You
know,
scoreboard,
similar
to
what
the
scoreboard
at
Fenway
looks
like,
and
it
was
just
you
know
just
stenciled
on
there,
but
over
the
years
is
it.
You
know
it
was
repainted.
They
didn't
put
that
back
up
so.
C
Okay
and
then
I
did
have
a
question
about
the
storage
like
the
size
you're
looking
for
is
the
existing
too
big
or
is
there
like
a
you
know
something.
F
F
Small
green
storage
unit
that
we
have
I
would
I
would
like
to
I
mean
I
would
take
a
bigger
one.
You
know
that
is
sort
of
that
was
the
standard
size
that
the
the
city
was
giving
out
back
when
we
got
it
in
the
early
2000s.
So
if
you're
going
to
be
putting
new
storage
there,
we
would
certainly
I'd
love
to
upgrade
the
size
of
it.
Absolutely.
A
Anybody
else
have
comments,
questions,
suggestions,
Insight
onto
Ramsay,
Jim
Rice
at
Ramsay.
C
E
Joan
Mullen
here
hi
Mike.
How
are
you.
F
E
F
E
F
Yeah
I
think
that
the
problem-
and
they
kind
of
addressed
that
during
the
the
presentation
we
haven't
had
access
to
a
hose
hookup
in
many
in
a
bunch
of
years.
There
was
at
one
point
on
the
side
of
the
building.
There
is
a
faucet
that
we
used
to
hook
up
to,
but
something
in
the
water
system
in
the
building
broke
and
was
never
fixed.
So
if
we
had
access
to
a
hose
that
would
allow
us
to
maintain
the
infield
dirt.
F
C
And
with
the
irrigation
system,
what
we
can
do,
too
is
put
bibs
so
like
quick,
clear,
bibs
at
irrigation
boxes.
So
then
you
don't
have
to
have
a
you
know.
200
foot
hose
I.
C
So
but
yeah
we'd,
probably
not
on
all
of
them
or
maybe
at
all
of
them.
You
know
we
can
talk
to
the
irrigation
designer
about
that.
That.
A
Would
be
great
yeah
cool?
The
other
thing
is
that
we've
been
trying
to
use
a
different
Dura
Edge
in
field
clay
that
has
just
a
slightly
and
I'm
talking
I.
Think
it's
like
one
one
or
two
percent
change
only
of
the
sand
content
in
it.
So,
whereas
the
dura
Edge
that's
out
there
right
now,
if
you
don't
wet,
it
basically
ends
up
like
a
concrete
hard
hard.
D
C
D
A
Still,
but
the
one
that
we're
we've
been
using
recently
is
a
little
bit
more
because
so
many
of
our
Fields
don't
have
any
access
to
water.
So
that's
kind
of
our
main
reason
to
that
is
we
can't
maintain
them
if
you
can't
wet
them,
so
we're
trying
to
solve
that
problem
as
well
right,
yeah,
okay,
any
other
questions
on
on
Jim
Rice
here.
C
F
F
I
want
to
say
four
to
five
times
the
you
know
the
size
of
what
it
is
now
and
the
issue
that
we
had
it.
Basically
wrapped
all
the
way
from
it
was
the
entire
concrete
area,
more
or
less,
with
a
little
bit
of
a
walkway
between
the
building
and
the
seating,
but
the
backs
of
them
were
walls,
so
people
could
sit
in
front
kind
of
like
with
the
dugouts
and
the
seating
behind
home
plate
and
do
anything
they
wanted.
We
would
find
you
know
like
we
find
now
in
the
in
the
dugouts.
F
We
would
find
needles
and
bottles
and
sure
other
stuff,
so
we
do
get
fairly
good
crowds
right
now.
People
will
bring.
You
know
their
own
chairs
if
the
if
the
bleachers
are
full.
So
we
do
need
more
seating.
F
The
bleachers
that
we
have
there
are
fine
I,
just
like
to
double
or
even
triple
the
amount
of
available
seating.
You
know
so
we
could
get
one
or
two
more
of
those
units
per
side.
F
That
would
be
great.
Okay,
yeah.
A
F
Peters
is
in
good
shape.
You
know
the
nice
thing
about
that,
so
we
have
access
to
water
there,
which
helps
it's
a
much
smaller
Fields.
F
So
you
know
we
were
able
to
do
more,
but
the
just
the
the
ability
to
water
stuff
makes
such
a
huge
difference,
so
the
the
batting
cage
and
the
covers
were
put
in
actually
during
the
pandemic.
So
we've
had
this
for
two
seasons:
I.
F
Yeah,
so
those
are
are
fairly
new.
The
scoreboard
that
you
had
mentioned
so
we
actually
I
mean
we
have
we
planned.
We
were
gonna,
do
it
in
2020
and
then
the
pandemic
happened,
but
we
have
the
funding
and
we've
been
planning.
We
had
a
coach
who
actually
coached
Joe's
kid
who
died
a
couple
years
ago
or
more
than
a
couple
years
ago,
from
ALS
and
he
coached
for
30
years
in
the
program.
F
So
we
are
going
to
replace
the
scoreboard
and
dedicate
it
to
him.
So
we've
been
planning
to
do
that.
We
have
the
funding
for
it.
If
it
is
something
that
you
guys
want
to
Loop
into
this
project,
we
certainly
you
know
we're
we're
a
small
program
and
every
penny
counts.
So
you
know
we
we're
happy
to
pay,
for
we
have
the
funding
for
it,
but
I'm
not
gonna,
jump
in
front
of
the
train.
F
If
you
guys
are
you
know,
the
the
one
thing
that
is
very
very
important
to
us
is
that
when
a
new
scoreboard
goes
up,
that
it
is
put
up
in
his
in
his
memory
so,
but
we
can
certainly
discuss
that.
You
know
you
know
going
forward
moving
the
utility
box
is
great.
That
thing
is
dangerous.
We
use
Nets
during
the
season
to
keep
kids
away
from
it,
but
trying
to
think
you
know
the
the
fencing
being
the
fencing
and
foul
poles.
F
One
thing
that
you
I
don't
know
if
you
would
explore
this,
but
you
know
they
put
up
the
batting
cage
behind
the
Outfield
fence.
If
you
wanted
to
start
the
Outfield
fence
on
the
yeah,
you
know
at
the
end
of
the
batting
cage
and
have
the
batting
cage
be
the
fence,
and
you
know
that
part
of
of
left
field
like
that
would
be.
That
would
be
an
easy
way
to.
You
know,
be
great
yeah.
F
E
A
Mike
for
the
scoreboard,
it
currently
has
a
name
on
it
is
that
and
I'm.
Sorry,
then
I
can't
remember
the
name
on
that,
but
that
is
not.
That
is
not
the
coach.
No,
that
is
yeah.
The
and
I.
A
Put
up
sorry,
the
coach
is
John
Martin
right,
correct,
yeah,
okay,
so
the
one
thing
we'll
have
to
just
figure
out
is
doing
two
different
namings
and
how
that
works.
There
is
technically
a
formal
process
within
the
parks
department,
which
usually
happens
with
a
full
Parks
Commission
hearing
for
dedication.
A
I
can
share
that
with
you
all
okay,
and
so
the
one
thing
I
have
to
check
is
the
name
in
a
dedication
process
that
happened
with
that
existing
scoreboard
and,
if
there's
still,
if
it
was
officially
done
and
and
the
ties
associated
with
that,
it
may
be
something
that
we
you
know
look
is
the
Field
named
after
one
and
the
scoreboard
named
after
one.
A
So
those
are
you
know
we
can
certainly
work
them
out
with
the
league
and
discuss
that.
Okay,
we
do,
we
do
have
funding
for
that.
So
at
this
point,
I
would
suggest
you
save
save
your
monies
for
for
continued
operation
and
and
all
the
work
your
league
does:
okay
yeah,
but
yeah
Christine
Christine,
you
and
I
can
share
that
process
with
him.
After.
B
A
Problem
repeating
and
when
so
he
was
the
coach
of
the
Angels,
did
they
actually
use
like
the
Angels
logo
as
well?
Is
there
any
I
know
they're
speaking
with
Joe
Joe
thanks
for
the
emails
you've
shared
I
know
that
the
team
name
changed
after
that.
So
I
just
wonder
if
there's
a
desire,
because
we
could
do
a
bit
of
a
graphic
on
that
as
well.
Yeah.
F
So
what
we
want
so
I
what
our
plan
had
been
was
to
have
similar
to
the
look
of
it
now
there
is.
There
was
a
it's
kind
of
a
long
story,
but
there
was
a
a
thing
called
Cafe
Martin
that
was
started,
that
I
don't
need
the,
but
it
has
a
logo
that
was
created
that
it
was
basically
his
front.
Porch
was
Kristen
Cafe
Martin
when
he
couldn't
leave
his
house
anymore,
so
yeah.
F
We
wanted
to
put
that
on
one
side
of
his
name
and
then
the
Angels
logo
on
the
other
side
yep.
So
that
was
our
plan.
Basically.
A
And-
and
we
can
certainly
work
work
that
process
with
you
all
and
make
make
sure
you
know
we're
we're
honoring
his
his
work
and
dedication
as
well
great.
Thank
you
thanks
thanks
Jody,
do
you
want
to
speak
to
this
to
Peters
as
well?
Joe.
E
You
know
I'm
just
a
spectator
or
anything
else,
but
Mike
I
did
have
one
question
because
I
remember
you
remember
you
being
out
there
with
the
you
know,
with
the
pump
so
much
and
pumping
out
the
puddles
and
stuff
and
I.
D
E
F
E
F
Had
to
use
a
sump
pump
to
get
them
out
the
last
two
seasons
for
whatever
reason
after
the
pandemic,
the
drainage
has
been
outstanding
and
I
haven't,
had
to
break
the
sump
pop
out
at
Peters
Park,
a
single
time
in
the
last
two
seasons.
I,
don't
know
what
the
I
don't
know
what
magic
happened
or
if
it
was
just
a
resettling
because
of
the
lack
of
use
for
a
year
or
what,
but
but
for
whatever
reason
it
hasn't.
F
A
That
right,
right,
that
that's
Speedy
dry,
the
the
Speedy
dry
and
sweeping
both
could
be
so
detrimental,
often.
F
F
A
Sounds
sounds
like
well
Josh
and
Shane.
Do
you
have
any
questions.
C
Yeah
one
question:
does
it
do
you
need
like
a
storage
area
for
sump,
pump
or
or
anything.
F
F
Actually,
that
is
now
that
so
there's
a
storage
there,
that's
a
similar
size
that
you
can
just
leave
like
it's
perfect,
similar
size
to
the
green
small
one
we
have
at
Jim
Rice.
It's.
F
Thing
but
that's
sufficient
for
what
we
do
at
Peters.
You
would
mention
the
dirt
and
the
and
the
stone
mix
piles
so
I,
don't
know
the
stone
mix
is
both
for
the
because
the
batting
cages,
the
stone
mix,
but
it's
also
for
that
walkway.
The
dirt,
is
obviously
for
the
infield
to
me.
F
I
I
think
those
that
having
it
out
there
is
fine
I,
don't
know
if
I
wouldn't
want
to
move
it
like
that
closer
to
the
infield,
because
then
you
would
be
moving
it
into
areas
where
there
are
more
Spectators
and
right,
so
I
I
wouldn't
want
to
infringe
upon
because
it's
pretty
tight
in
both.
You
know
next
to
the
field
on
the
third
base
side,
where
the
walkway
is
and
then
on
the
right
field.
F
Side,
like
that's,
you
know,
there's
the
grass
and
and
the
seating
area,
but
it's
still
fairly
tight
like
where
this
stuff
is,
even
though
it's
not
necessarily
the
most
convenient
place,
it's
kind
of
tucked
away
and
at
least
for
the
the
batting
cage
and
the
walkway,
the
stone
dust
being
there
is
convenient,
and
then
we
don't
really
need
to
use
the
dirt
that
much
anymore
for
the
infield.
F
Because
of
the
you
know
the
renewed
drainage
situation,
for
whatever
reason,
although
that
you
know
who
knows
what
the
future
will
bring
once
the
field
is
redone,
but
I
think
that
leaving
those
there
is
actually
okay.
E
A
D
A
So,
as
I
mentioned,
there
is
a
project
web
page
for
this,
so
tonight's
meeting
will
be
posted
there
along
with
meeting
notes,
and
it
sounds
like
we
all
have
General
consensus
on
a
approach
that
Shane
and
Josh
will
work
on
for
for
both
of
those
plans.
F.
If
anything
comes
up
to
you
that
you
didn't
think
about
saying
tonight,
you
have
my
contact.
Information
is
listed
on
that
page.
You
can
feel
free
to
send
my
email,
yeah,
I,
know
Mike
and
Joe.
A
You
already
have
it
so
you've
already
shared
a
lot
of
great
Intel
on
these
two
parks,
so
just
jumping
back
real
quick
to
the
timeline
that
we
had
at
Shane
and
Josh
are
going
to
work
on
construction
documents
throughout
this
winter.
We'll
try
and
get
a
late
winter
bid
for
this
project
and
hopefully
have
construction
start
in
the
spring.
So
I
know
that
impacts
permitting
for
you
all.
A
So
keep
that
in
mind
and
if
you
have
any
questions
or
thoughts
on
that,
don't
hesitate
to
reach
out
and
we'll
see
what
we
can
do
to
help.
You
help
you
out
with
that
as
well.
F
A
A
And
and
I
am
I
fully
Envision
that
bidding
these
together
we
tend
to
get
a
better
price
as
well,
so,
depending
on
how
exactly
that
works
out,
they
may
do
the
bulk
of
renovation
at
one
and
then
move
to
the
next
one
they
may
demo,
and
then
you
know,
jump
back
and
forth
I'm,
not
exactly
sure
that
some
of
that
will
be
up
to
the
contractor,
but
we
should.
A
We
should
have
an
idea
of
that
before
you
know,
before
spring
baseball
starts
as
well
great
yeah,
so
all
right
well
seeing
no
more
questions
or
or
comments,
I
think
we
can
end
early
tonight
and
we'll
we'll
keep
you
guys
posted
on
on
how
the
project
progresses
great.
