Description
Mother's Rest Park Design Meeting #5 - April 7, 2022
A
Hi
good
evening,
everybody
and
welcome
to
the
fifth
mother's
rest
at
four
corners
community
meeting.
My
name
is
lauren
bryant
and
I'm
the
project
manager
for
this
park
for
boston
parks.
I
know
that
there
are
a
few
familiar
faces
out
there
tonight,
so
I
know
that
you
guys
know
how
this
works,
but
before
we
jump
into
our
presentation,
I'm
just
going
to
go
over
a
few
housekeeping
items.
A
Interpretation
was
not
requested
for
this
meeting,
so
tonight's
meeting
will
be
in
english.
Only.
However,
please
know
that
any
future
city
public
meetings,
regardless
of
whether
it's
parks,
department
or
another
department
that
interpretation
can
be
requested
free
of
charge
in
additional
languages.
A
A
A
And
for
anybody
who
may
not
be
familiar
with
zoom,
I
feel
like
we
might
all
be
at
this
point,
but
I
feel,
like
I
always
forget
this
and
depending
on
which
platform
I'm
on
so
down
at
the
bottom
of
your
screen.
There
is
a
chat
which
you
can
put
questions
into
as
we
go
through
there's
also
under
the
reactions
a
place
to
raise
your
hand,
so
feel
free
to
do
that
during
the
presentation.
A
If
you'd
like
to
chat
with
us,
I
think
that's
all
the
housekeeping
information
so
first
tonight
we'll
introduce
the
team.
Do
a
project
overview
then
have
a
quick
review
from
the
fourth
meeting
and
then
we're
going
to
go
into
our
presentation
tonight,
which
will
focus
on
final
design
decisions
that
were
based
on
input
from
the
community
from
the
first
four
meetings
and
the
survey
that
we
did
and
after
that
we'll
have
time
for
discussions
at
the
end
of
the
presentation.
A
And
if
anybody
joined
since
we
started
again,
my
name
is
lauren
bryant
project
manager
for
boston
parks
for
this
exciting
project
as
well
as
well
as
several
others
throughout
the
city.
Christine
brandeo,
who
is
our
outreach
coordinator,
isn't
able
to
join
us
tonight,
but
she's,
a
really
great
resource
for
general
park
questions
and
also
for
creating
friends
groups
for
the
parks
and
liz
sullivan
is
here
joining
us
with
parks
tonight
as
well,
helping
to
moderate
the
meeting.
A
So
just
a
quick
overview
and
reminder
for
everybody
for
where
we
are
with
the
project
schedule.
So
there
are
lots
of
little
blue
dots
on
there,
which
means
that
we've
had
a
lot
of
really
great
opportunities
to
gather
input
from
the
community.
So
I
thank
you
all
for
sticking
with
us
through
this
process
and
continuing
to
be
involved
and
help
with
the
design
process.
A
A
Most
recently,
we
met
on
march
3rd
for
our
fourth
community
meeting
and
we
discussed
ideas
for
play,
equipment
and
water
play,
exercise,
equipment
and
plaza
spaces,
and
we're
coming
back
tonight
to
present
a
final
concept
to
you
that
we
hope
feels
like
the
park
you
want
to
visit
and
a
park
that
you're
going
to
be
proud
of
and
excited
to
use,
and
so
that's
why
we're
here
tonight
to
make
sure
we
got
it
right,
make
sure
we
heard
you
in
all
of
those
meetings.
A
So
after
tonight
we
will
finalize
the
design,
do
the
construction
documentation
and
put
the
project
out
to
bid
probably
summer
of
this
year
with,
and
you
know,
have
the
park
back
open
in
summer
of
next
year
and
the
budget
hasn't
changed.
It's
still
an
estimate
of
one
million
four
hundred
and
ten
thousand
dollars.
A
I
do
want
to
just
note
that,
because
this
is
our
final
community
meeting,
it
doesn't
mean
that
you
won't
be
kept
up
to
date
on
the
process.
What
that
just
means
is
that
this
is
the
last
time
we're
getting
input
on
the
design,
but
we'll
keep
you
posted
on
the
progress
of
the
project
for
everybody
that
I
have
emails
for,
I'm
going
to
be
sending
out
periodic
email
updates.
A
So
typically,
I
send
out
an
email
when
we're
finalizing
the
construction
drawings
in
case
any
little.
Things
have
shifted
from
the
last
drawing
because
sometimes
things
have
to
shift
a
little
bit,
but
not
significantly,
and
then
I
also
send
one
out
after
we
bid
the
project
so
that
we
have
a
better
understanding
of
the
schedule
and
how
construction
and
when
construction
is
going
to
start
and
then
usually
during
construction.
I
try
to
send
out
a
monthly
update
as
well.
A
So
if
that's
something
that
you're
interested
in
again
make
sure
that
I've
got
that
contact
information,
and
I
can
send
that
out
to
you
guys
so
now,
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
dev
so
that
you
can
see
the
exciting
part
design.
C
Thanks
lauren
and
I'm
so
glad
that
you
all
are
all
here-
we're
excited
to
share
the
progress
since
our
last
meeting.
So
as
we
have
been
doing
through
this
of
this
whole
process,
we
talk
a
little
bit
about
you
know
the
last
meeting
so
meeting
four.
We
presented
the
plan
itself,
which
had
which
hasn't
changed
significantly
in
an
orientation
layout.
So
we
still
have
this
age,
five
plus
play
area
the
ages,
two
to
five
area.
Some
slope
play
water
play
and
then
on
the
upper
terrace.
C
You
know
we
still
have
a
plaza
with
seating
and
teen
spaces,
so
the
feedback
we
heard,
which
we
were
very
fortunate,
super
positive,
which
we
always
appreciate.
So
you
know
things
like
you
know,
really
appreciating
the
color
that
we're
gonna
add
you
know
we're
gonna,
do
something
fun
with
the
stairs
and
then
you
know
marcos.
C
I
think
this
was
your
comment
about
installing
a
place
for
pinata
use
in
the
community
to
to
celebrate
at
that
those
those
events,
and
so
lauren
and
I've
been
talking
a
lot
about
this
and
what
we
are
you
know
still
exploring
as
ways
to
use.
C
You
know
what
we'd
like
to
do
in
these
parks,
since
there's
so
much
in
a
small
amount
of
space,
so
we're
really
we're
going
to
look
at
ways
that
we
can
sort
of
double
up
a
piece
of
potentially
exercise
equipment,
or
you
know
some
shape
like
that
to
use
you
know
for
for
any
purpose,
but
also
for
the
pinatas,
so
that
you
know
they
can
do
sort
of
double
duty.
C
C
The
idea
of
the
spoken
word
and
the
kids
having
a
spot
or
location
or
you
know
something
built
you
know
to
to
sort
of
to
express
themselves,
so
we're
excited
to
show
what
we've
come
up
with
for
that
areas.
You
know
for
chalk
either
or
permanent
tech,
tacto
and
hopscotch.
So
we
we
have
some
options
for
those
as
well.
C
C
You
know
educational
components,
I'm
hoping
to
include
this
type
of
element
in
the
final
paint
layout
for
the
for
the
stairways,
so
stay
tuned
on
that,
thanks
for
the
support
for
the
slope
and
water
play,
we
have
options
for
swings.
Both
buckets
group
swings
as
well.
As
the
you
know,
the
regular,
the
regular
belt
swings
sort
of
for
those
in
between
ages
exercise
equipment,
space
for
yoga
stretching
and
toning
we'll
talk
about
what
we
have
for
that.
C
You
know
the
upper
terrace
and
the
lower
tear.
You
know
there's
opportunities
for
exercise,
but
it
is
primarily
on
on
the
upper
terrace
really
highlighting
some
of
those
views
creating
a
circuit
for
the
workout,
while
our
equipment
as
you'll,
see
in
the
final
plans
is
concentrated
in
one
space,
I
do
feel
like
the
park.
C
While
the
pieces
of
equipment
aren't
spread
out.
You
know
the
stairs.
The
slope
you
know
can
be
used
in
a
way
to
enhance
it.
Won't
be
necessarily
a
circuit,
but
you
can
definitely
take
breaks
to
run
up
and
down
the
stairs
in
between
using
different
pieces
of
equipment.
A
C
Great
point:
aaron
lauren,
so
moving
on
any
comments
on
anything
that
I've
just
gone
over.
D
C
The
existing
stairs,
so
this
is
the
new
sort
of
more
developed
plan.
So
what
we're
planning
jen
is
this
lower
set
of
stairs
is
pushing
out
into
the
existing
space,
so
we're
going
to
be
able
to
have.
This
is
sort
of
an
expanded
landing
and
I
would
like
to
to
include
you
know
some
seating
opportunities
there.
I
think
midway
up
we've
also.
C
C
Great
great
comments,
great
questions,
so.
C
Yeah,
unfortunately,
I
can't
see
the
chat
so
yeah.
I
was.
B
C
Yeah,
so
I
think
those
are
all
questions
that
I'm
going
to
address,
but
I'm
excited
about
the
telescopes
as
well,
so
what
I've
done.
This
is
the
overall
plan
and
then
I've
similar
to
the
last
meeting,
I've
broken
down
the
different
areas
to
sort
of
get
into
more
detail.
C
So
we
have
our
lower
terrace
again
lots
of
play
opportunities
and
also,
I
think,
in
each
area,
there's
a
few
more
pieces
that
we
want
input
on
so
you'll
see
those.
But
but
the
layout
is
pretty
much
the
same
this
this
area
we
have
some
expanded
bituminous
for
for
hopscotch
or
frosting.
This
is
the
you
know
the
multi-loop
kind
of
figure,
eight
that
lauren
was
referring
to
for
either
you
know
trike
path
or
even
you
know,
running
and
sprinting
before
you
head
up
the
stairs
upper
plaza.
C
You
know
similar
layout
to
before
we
have
our
team
teen
exercise
area.
We
have
our
plaza
stadium,
seating.
We
have
our
sign
gateway
that
we're
we're
going
to.
You
know,
keep
and
certainly
sort
of
repaint
a
few
areas
that
are
are
in
need
of
repair
and
then
again
another
another
space
for
tables
and
chairs.
You
know
we
see
this
as
community
gathering
family
gathering
as
well,
so
starting
at
with
the
exercise
and
our
upper
terrace
sort
of
the
teen
and
plaza
space.
C
So
in
you
know
the
the
area
that's
orange
here-
and
this
is
some
ramps
coming
down-
we'll-
have
some
seating
along
the
edge
we've
based
on
some
feedback.
From
your
the
last
meeting,
we
selected
these
three
pieces,
one
for
balance,
one
for
cross
training.
Both
you
know
upper
body
and
tricep
work
and
then
the
assisted
row
push.
I
think
these
three
really
complement
each
other
and
can
certainly
enhance
any
aerobic
or
stretching
activities
that
can
also
happen
on
the
site.
C
Here
is
one
area
that
we
are
just
showing
for
for
yoga.
You
know
yoga
or
exercise
in
the
upper
terrace,
so
we
think
this
is
a
great
spot
for
that
and
then,
of
course
everybody
was
excited
about
the
table.
Tennis,
you
know
both
multi-generational,
but
but
certainly
for
that
teen
teen,
fun
element
so
moving
to
the
central
space
and
thinking
about
you
know
the
spoken
word
and
additional
seating.
We
have
this
overlooked,
seating
which
I
think
is
going
to
be
super
great.
C
A
little
bit
of
a
amphitheater
feel
would
be
concrete.
They'll
have
some
steps
and
different
width
of
sort
of
bench
like
seating,
and
then
we
have
these.
What's
called
the
strike
bench
that
comes
in
sort
of
these
large
circles
and
half
circles,
and
we
we
like
the
idea
both
for
an
opportunity
as
a
stage
or
platform,
but
also
just
to
bring
some
warmth
into
the
space
with
the
concrete
seating
to
have.
You
know
really
old,
colorful
metal.
C
A
There
was
a
question
in
the
chat
and
I
just
don't
have
the
numbers
with
me
where
someone
was
asking
the
number
of
trees
that
are
being
planted
in
the
new
plan,
and
I
just
didn't
have
those
numbers
with
me.
If
you
could
comment.
C
On
that
one,
so
the
the
new
trees
currently
currently
we're
showing
six
new
trees,
but
we
have
budget
for
more.
C
So
I
have
you
know:
I've
been
busy,
I
think,
picking
out
all
the
furnishings
and
making
sure
our
budget
is
set,
but
we
have
currently
six
new
trees
being
planted,
sort
of
half
ornamental
flowering,
trees
and
half
more
deciduous
shade
trees
for
those
canopies,
but
that's
a
great
question
and
if,
if
anyone
has
specific
locations
for
where
they
feel
trees
might
be
needed,
I
I'm
happy
I'm
happy
to
to
get
your
input.
C
So
we
talked
about
the
the
different
tables,
the
charlie
tables
and
our
fun
solstice
umbrellas.
So
a
few
of
the
tables
will
have
umbrellas
and
then
a
few
tables
will
not-
and
I
think
the
game
tables
will
also
if,
if
they're
up
here,
they
might
be
up
here
and
they
may
be
on
the
lower
level.
So
those
are
still
in
need
of
being
located
and
then
the
telescopes.
C
So
we
have
we've
been
searching
a
lot
for
different
different
things
to
use,
but
we
found
this
really
simple,
but
but
powerful
telescope
that
can
be
post
mounted
or
it
might
be
mounted
on
top
of
the
existing
rail
here.
But
we
have
two
located.
I
think
in
these
they're
not
quite
corners
but
they're
circle
corners
in
these
two
locations.
I
think
I
think
they'll
be
a
great
spot
and
also
really
kind
of
draw
the
the
kids
and
anyone
interested
in
looking
out
toward
toward
the
water
or
at
birds
in
the
trees.
C
So
moving
down
to
the
two
and
a
half
or
two
to
five-year-old
play
on
the
lower
level
on
claiborne
street,
we
have
our
accessible
route
coming
up
to
the
space
from
the
high
point
on
claiborne
street.
The
existing
stairs
will
get
rebuilt
or
refinished
so
that
they're
sort
of
up
for
another
long
year
of
use.
F
C
So
so
inside
the
the
trike
loop
track.
Here
we
have
two
pieces.
We
have
our
what's
called
the
originator,
which
is
a
multi-level
multi-platform
structure
geared
toward
the
the
toddler
age
group.
There's
lots
of
climbing
opportunities,
there's
even
a
corkscrew
on
the
back
there's
a
slide.
You
know
different
panels
that
can
be
manipulated.
C
You
know
one
of
my
favorites
from
when
kids
my
kids
were
younger
was
the
little
storefront
platform
to
make
imaginary
sales
to
their
siblings,
and
then
you
know
we
heard
in
the
community
meeting
last
time
about
a
seesaw
type
piece.
So
you
know,
we've
shown
the
the
hopper
here.
So
a
couple
kids
can
can
sit.
Other
people
there's
even
like
a
standing
opportunity
here.
It's
a
nice,
interactive,
push-pull
type
of
unit.
C
I
think
it's
it's
something!
That's
not
there
now
that
I
think
a
lot
of
kids
will
will
get
some
use
out
of
and
then
we're
up
on.
Our
first
choice,
our
first
decision-
so
you
know
with
with
our
gracious
but
also
limited
amount
of
space.
C
C
Like
the
emperor
chimes
so
feel
free
again,
I
can't
see
the
chat,
but
I
know
lauren
and
nicole
and
and
other
people
can
see
it
if
you
want
to
chime
in
no,
no
pun
intended
to
see,
if
you
think,
spinning,
spinning
or
chimes
may
make
the
playground
the
most
successful,
they're
very
different.
C
Is
a
great
question
and
they
are
not.
You
know
like
church
bells,
like
you're,
not
going
to
hear
them
from
afar.
F
F
With
the
you
know,
with
clay,
because
I
go
up
and
down
this
street
several
times
a
week
and.
F
Okay
well
because
I
think
that's
gonna
also
might
be
a
way
to
to
determine
maybe
where
the
trees
go,
because
it
might
create
a
kind
of
a
buffer,
because
obviously
there
are
you
know,
houses
that
are
right
there
and
not
to
say
that
you
know
people
are
going
to
be
playing
them.
You
know
at
all
hours
or
whatever,
but
obviously
you
just
never
know,
and
obviously
it
would
be
fun
to
have.
You
know
pretty
chimes
and
stuff,
but
if
it's
constantly
being
played
that
could
get
really
annoying.
C
A
No,
these
ones
tend
to
be
more
melodic,
I
think,
than
some
of
the
other
kinds
of
percussion
things
that
you
see,
sometimes
in
parts
and
it's
one
of
the
things
that
we
like
to
be
really
cognizant
of
in
terms
of
neighbors.
What
I
did
do
in
case.
It's
helpful
for
people
because
I'll
be
honest,
even
with
zoom,
this
long,
I'm
not
sure
exactly
how
to
do
it.
I
put
a
link
to
a
video
from
the
website
of
the
company
that
makes
them
in
case
anybody
wants
to
take
a
look
and
listen
of
it.
A
I
would
try,
but
I'm
not
sure
I
know
how
to
make
my
audio
work
through
the
zoom,
but
I
did
just
put
that
in
the
chat.
F
Yeah,
it's
actually
pretty
they're,
not
very
high,
pitched
or
anything,
which
I
always
fear
but
yeah.
I
guess
the
other
thing
is
obviously
you
know
animals
and
I
was
like
oh,
but
it's
like
on
the
lower
end,
so
it's
not
too
bad,
but
obviously
the
sound
you
know
over.
You
know
the
computer
is
very
different
than
in
person,
so
it
seems
you
know.
Okay.
F
From
from
what
I
heard,
and
I
guess
it
also
depends
on
how
many
and
I
didn't
know
if
that
picture
and
the
video
suggested
that
they
were
going
to
be
like
five
or
six
or
if
they
were
only
gonna,
be
a
couple.
C
But
those
are
great,
that's
great
feedback,
so
so
moving
forward.
This
is
this
is
the
area
of
five
to
12
and
I
think
there's
two
two
things.
We
need
to
talk
about
the
tower
itself.
We
showed
last
time-
and
I
think
people
are
excited
about
it-
there's
a
lot
of
different
parts
to
it.
It's
much
taller
than
it
appears
here,
but
there's
there's
climbing,
there's
tons
of
interactive
pieces,
there's
a
little
fun
movable,
two-person
kind
of
dish,
hammock
thing:
there's
nets.
C
C
Yeah-
and
you
know,
of
course,
the
minute
I
start
presenting-
I
wish
I
had
the
view
from
the
other
side,
but
there's
other
climbing
opportunities
on
the
back
side,
and
I
think
it's
going
to
be
really
fun
and
it's
it's
something
that
that
hasn't
been
installed
yet
in
the
city,
so
it'll
be
unique
to
this
park,
and
now
that
I'm
out
of
my
flow
back
to
presentation,
sorry
to
mess
up
your
presentation.
Well,
that's
fine!
I'm
gonna
mess
it
up
again
when
I
try
to
show
a
couple
videos.
C
C
You
know
for
yoga,
and
just
you
know
for
sitting,
but
we
heard
a
lot
about.
Can
we
have
some
swings
and
you
can
see
so
this
is
the
footprint
the
you
know,
aerial
view
of
a
set
of
swings.
The
white
outlines
for,
for
all
these
different
pieces
are
what
is
called
the
safety
zone.
So
that's
area
that
you
know
you
can't
have
pavement
under
you
have
to
have
safety
surfacing.
C
C
There's
lots
of
options,
well,
not
lots,
but
we
cannot
have
the
swings
and
we
can
have
grass.
C
We
could
move
the
swings,
you
know
and
not
have
the
tower
or
what
I'll
get
to
soon
of
the
nets.
C
Or
you
know
you
could
also
get
rid
of
the
the
water
play,
move
the
younger
kids
to
the
water
play
area
and
then
have
swings
and
the
tower
and
the
lawn.
So
I
know
that's
a
lot
of
moving
parts
to
to
to
put
out
there,
but
I'd
love
to
hear.
A
One,
I
think
I
think,
throwing
out
there.
Obviously,
we
definitely
want
to
hear
what
everybody
wants
to
say
about
it
and
your
thoughts
and
we're
showing
the
one
that
we're
showing,
because
it
felt
like
with
everything
that
we
had
heard
from
the
community
in
terms
of
the
play
being
important
water
play
being
important,
swings
being
incredibly
important.
A
We
wanted
to
show
that
this.
This
was
the
thought
that
we
had
that
it.
It
felt
like
it
encompassed
everything
that
the
community
had
wanted
other
than
yoga
on
the
lower
terrace,
and
that's
one
of
the
reasons
we
wanted
to
show
yoga
on
the
upper
terrace.
But
we
know
that
that
lawn
space
is
also
important,
but
if
we
took
the
swings
and
moved
them
into
some
of
those
spaces
that
deb
was
talking
about,
it
could
also
it's
so
wide
in
terms
of
the
safety
zone
that
we
also
didn't
want
to
impact
existing
trees.
A
F
Yeah,
so
I
also
wanted
to
double
check
and
I'm
sorry
because
I
hadn't
been
able
to
attend
the
other
ones
or
I
just
forgot,
but
I
wanted
to
get
also
a
sense
of
what
the
playground
like.
I
see
all
the
different
things,
but
what
are
they
going
to
be
sitting
on?
Because
I
know
there's
a
big
difference
between,
like
that
squishy
material
that
is
been
coming
up
in
different
parks,
as
well
as
whether
it's
grassy
area
or
concrete,
or
so
all
these
things
are
nice
and
fun.
A
Yeah,
no
that's
a
great
question
so
with
all
of
boston
parks
in
terms
of
accessibility
and
safety,
the
surfacing
underneath
the
play
areas
which
is
shown
in
sort
of
that
light,
purple
color
right
now
is
the
rubber
surfacing
that
you
see
at
a
lot
of
the
playgrounds
these
days
and
then
the
loop
path,
that's
around.
That
is
asphalt
and
we
had
talked
about
doing
like
a
little
paintings
on
that
asphalt.
To
make
it
look
like
a
little
trike
loop.
A
We
could
put
little
lines
on
it,
so
it
looks
like
the
center
of
a
street.
A
couple
of
you
know:
fun
graphics,
for
the
kids
as
well.
Does
that
help
answer
that
question
christine.
F
Yes,
it
does
and
then
the
other
thing
I
was
trying
to
figure
out
because
there's
obviously
a
number
of
options
and
everything,
and
so
I
was
trying
to
figure
out.
You
know,
if,
obviously
you
know,
with
certain
things
being
age
appropriate,
you
know.
Is
it
better
to
have
that
you
know
closer
together?
F
You
know
because
they're
swings
that
are
just
for
you
know
kids
or
babies,
and
then
there
are
swings
that
some
of
us
adults
like
to
actually
swing
on,
and
so
and
I
didn't
know
if
that
was
something
that
you
know
like.
F
How
is
it
gonna,
be
you
know
how
close
together
you
know,
because
obviously
it's
hard
to
tell
like
is
it
you
know
a
foot.
Is
it
10
feet
and
so
trying
to
get
a
sense
of
the
schematics
as
far
as
like
the
scale
of
like?
If,
if
a
parent
wants
to
go,
do
yoga,
while
their
kids
are
playing
or
something
like,
is
it
a
visib?
Are
they
visible
versus?
Are
they
hiding
behind
it?
Like?
Is
it
you
know?
F
C
I'll
talk
about
the
I'll
respond
to
the
tree
and
vegetation
question
first,
so
everything
shown
here
is
existing
the
three
well,
there's
two
large
really
large
trees.
This
this
tree
here
is
actually
two
trunks,
almost
so
two
trees
kind
of
clustered
together
with
one
canopy,
and
then
this
is
the
row.
These
pink
circles
are
the
row
of
existing
cherry
trees
and
then
in
here
are
two
small.
C
I
actually
can't
remember
what
species
they
are,
but
they're
currently
in
raised
curves
around
them,
so
we're
gonna,
keep
them
and
maybe
even
those
spaces
a
little
bit,
but
it's
a
very
good
question
about.
So,
if
the
swings
are
here-
and
you
know,
two
of
the
bays
are
for
parents
with
toddlers
and
little
kids.
C
You
know
that's
here,
and
it
is
you
know
it's
a
safe
distance
from
you
know
the
swings
and
the
other
swing,
but
it
it
does
raise
a
good
proximity
question
because
your
young
kids
are
here
and
then
you
are
with
your
child
swinging
here,
but
everything
if
you
know
you've
been
out
there
today,
it's
the
same
distance
now.
C
So
if
you
were
doing
yoga
here
on
this
lawn
or
reading
a
book-
or
you
know
you
could
still
you
know-
certainly
sort
of
see
through
the
space,
but
we
will
have
benches
and
seating
opportunities
for
the
youngest
age
group.
C
C
Did
that
christine
answer
your
question
there?
There
were
several
questions.
F
Yes
and
and
that
actually
just
brought
up
another
point
that
even
though
I
don't
have
kids,
you
know,
I
guess
somebody
can
correct
me,
but
when
I
sit
there
and
think
of
like
entry
or
exit,
wouldn't
it
make
more
sense
to
have
the
smaller
kids
actually
away
from
that,
so
that
they
don't
scurry
about
and
like
trip
or
fall
down
the
stairs
or
you
know
like
the
parents
turn
and
then
next
you
know
you're
like
where'd
the
kid
go
or
whatever.
F
E
E
D
Thank
you.
Is
there
an
existing
image
that
depicts
like
how
many
maps
could
fit
on
the
upper
terrace?
What
that
would
look
like
for
yoga.
E
D
And
I
think
I
do
think
that
the
swings
were
a
super
priority.
Ask
from
everyone
from
the
beginning.
Okay,
so
that
looks
like
12-ish
mats,
yeah.
A
D
G
Sorry,
just
like
wait
a
second,
yes,
I'm
the
massage
therapist,
but
I
own
the
yoga
studio
and
yeah.
I'm
really
excited
that
this
is
going
to
be
this
opportunity
to
have
this
at
down
below,
because
I
think
that's
one
of
the
problem
concerns
that
my
yoga
teacher
didn't
like
being
right
up
on
the
top
on
the
street
and
being
googled
at.
But
I
you
know
it's
kind
of
slow
to
start,
but
we
definitely
would
love
to
have
20
people,
but
usually
honestly,
we
get
usually
10
or
so
so.
A
C
And
I
think
I
think
I
can
fit
a
few
a
few
more
but
great
great
comments
and
great
questions.
F
Are
there
going
to
be
benches
specifically
under
the
canopy
trees,
because
I
know
that
you
said
that
there
were
going
to
be
different
benches
throughout,
but
I
wasn't
sure
if
they
were
going
to
be
places
specifically
under
the
trees.
For.
C
Yeah
so
there's
I'll
hop
around
a
little
bit.
I.
A
Haven't
we
haven't?
We
haven't
cited
each
and
every
bench
yet
because
that
will
come
as
we
finalize
the
construction
drawings.
But
usually
what
we
try
to
do
is
make
sure
that
we
have
benches
both
in
the
sun
and
in
the
shade,
to
make
sure
that
everybody
that's
visiting
can
have
their
choice
because,
like
if
it
were
my
husband
and
I
we'd
be
on
benches
at
different
parts
of
the
park,
because
I
want
to
be
in
the
sun
and
he
wants
to
be
in
the
shade.
A
So
we
try
to
make
sure
we
can
accommodate
for
everybody
that
way,
and
so
we
do
the
same
with
like
the
tables
and
chairs.
So
we
don't
have
the
specific
locations
yet,
but
we'll
have
some
in
both
sun
and
shade,
and
also
make
sure
that
we
have
some
down
on
the
lower
terrace
with
the
play
areas
so
that
caregivers
can
be
there
to
make
sure
that
they're
keeping
an
eye
on
people
and
also
like
jen,
said
some
on
that
terrace
on
the
way
up.
C
Thanks
lauren,
so
I'm
gonna.
Do
we
have
another
option
for
this
space
and
one
is
the
net
twister
and
one
is
the
supernova
and
since
they're
moving
moving
objects.
I
think
they're
best
sort
of
described
with
the
videos
and
I'm
hoping.
C
I
think
I
have
to
unshare.
B
C
I
I
it's
more
that
I
have
too
many
views
and
too
many
so
new
share.
Here
we
go.
C
C
Thank
you,
supernova's,
the
the
next
one.
C
Yeah,
thank
you
appreciate
all
your
support
here.
C
It's
I
don't
know
why
it's
acting
so
difficult
for
whatever
reason
it's
not
letting
me
share
that
screen.
I
will
try
one
more
time
and
then.
A
If
anybody
can
click
on
those
and
take
a
look
at
them,
feel
free
to,
let
us
know
which
one
you
like
the
supernova
looks
a
little
bit
more.
It
looks
a
little
bit
calmer
in
the
in
in
just
the
picture,
but
I
do
know
that
having
been
on
it,
it's
a
little
it's
a
little
bit
trickier
than
it
looks
like
it
would
be.
C
Yeah,
I
mean
they're
both
really
quite
I
should
have
tested
this
earlier.
I
apologize
but
they're
both
really
quite.
C
A
And
that's
an
interesting
point.
I
think
you
might
be
right.
I
do
see
there's
one
over
by
the
way
deb
the
the
presentation's
not
up
again.
We
should
probably
but
you're
right
jen.
We
have
one
over
at
edgerly
road
playground
and
the
berkeley
kids
are
always
on
it.
D
F
D
A
Yeah
yeah
there
definitely
are
a
lot
of
people
that
think
that
the
net
twister
looks
fun.
Somebody
that
was
saying
that
the
supernova
looks
dangerous
and
somebody
else
that
was
saying
that
they
think
that
the
net
twister
would
get
more
use
than
the
supernova
yeah.
That's.
C
Great
great
feedback,
I
think
the
net
twister
is
also
someone
can
get
transferred
from
a
wheelchair
and
they
could
get
placed
sort
of
on
that
lower
platform
in
between
two
of
the
stanchion.
So
I
think
I
think
that's
super.
You
know
sort
of
unique
for
for
that
type
of
spinning
piece
and
then.
A
I
I
just
also
want
to
be
really
clear
when
we're
on
this
slide
that
the
slot
this
the
swings
that
we're
proposing
the
slide.
The
swings
that
we're
proposing
it's
three
bays
and
that
picture
just
shows
two
bays
that
that
shows
a
dish.
Swing
belt
swings,
but
what
we're
proposing
would
actually
be
a
third
bay
that
has
those
toddler
bucket
swings
as
well,
so
just
so
that
make
sure
that
everybody
notices
that
that's
actually
three
sets
of
swings.
Even
though
we
don't
have
the
picture
of
the
three
of
them
together.
C
So
moving
to
our
water
play,
which
we
are
excited
about,
we
are
working
with
the
company
that
provides
the
jets
to
come
up
with
a
really
fun
combination
of
some
that
go
distance.
Some
that
spray
wide
some
that
sort
of
go
straight
straight
up
and
they're
going
to
be
able
to
be.
C
You
know,
pushed
on
with
one
or
two
of
these
post
stations
that
are
similar
to
some
other
parks
in
boston,
and
then
we
also
in
addition
to
the
to
the
sprays
we
wanted
to
incorporate
a
pump
and
some
other
sort
of
manipulative
water
play
so
down
at
the
lower
level
we
are
gonna.
C
Have
you
know
one
of
these
trays
and
water
so
that
you
know
that
can
happen
on
this
lower
terrace
and
then
we're
still
working
on
some
possibilities
of
on
this
terrace
for
access
to
the
slope
play
that
we
can
also
work
through
having
another
series
of
a
water
source
and
then
different
opportunities
for
water
to
make
its
way
down
to
the
lower
terrace.
We're
still
working
out
the
details,
so
we
can't
commit
entirely,
but
we
didn't
want
the
idea
to
get
lost.
C
C
So
kind
of
finishing
up
on
the
slopes
slow
play
itself
again.
We,
this
is
sort
of
the
space
here.
This
set
of
stairs
is
going
to
come
further
out
into
this
landing
area
and
we're
going
to
have
a
terrace
and
then
a
sequence
of
both
these
small
and
larger
half
spheres
and
then
we're
gonna
incorporate
in
and
among
them
these
fun
climbing
ropes.
D
I
think
so
the
are
the
ropes
planned
or
because
of
that
so.
C
That
is
yeah,
so
bro,
so
this
image
here
it
sounded
like
at
our
last
meeting
that
people
liked
this
idea.
You
could
do
it,
we
don't
have
to
do
the
ropes.
The
whole
area.
D
C
A
Yeah,
that
was
that
was
the
plan.
The
the
second
picture
was
just
to
show
another
picture
of
the
half
balls
just
to
show
it,
but
the
plan
had
been
to
do
it
with
the
ropes
as
well.
F
C
I'll
go
back
a
second,
so
the
slope.
This
is
only
for
like
a
25
20
to
25
foot
width,
there's
going
to
be
on
the
whole
park
itself,
there's
going
to
be
a
lot
of
grass
remaining
for
a
lot
of
you
know
just
the
sort
of
meadowy
grass
that
exists
there
today.
C
So
thinking
about
the
color
selections,
for
both
you
know
the
benches
and
the
tables,
as
well
as
the
play
equipment
itself,
we
as
the
design,
team
and
and
lauren.
I
think
too,
really
loves
this
sunset
sunrise,
that's
in
the
existing
gateway
arch,
I
personally
love
yellows,
yellows
and
and
oranges,
and
I
think
the
combination
with
with
the
blues
is
really
quite
calming,
but
also
super
fun
and
and
fresh.
C
So
I
think
that
is
our
intent
is
to
sort
of,
of
course,
we're
showing
you
this,
because
you
know
it's
your
park,
so
we
want
your
opinions,
but
this
was
our.
This
was
our
idea
and
you
can
see
you
know
some
of
the
manufacturers.
C
You
know
have
slightly
different
colors
some
have
more
than
others,
so
we
always
when
we're
you
know
using
different
lines
of
furniture
and
equipment.
You
know
try
to
make
the
most
the
best
selections
to
complement,
because
you
know
someone's
orange
is
not
the
same
as
someone
else's
orange,
but
anyway
we're
pretty
excited
about
it.
But
this
is
your
chance
to
say
your
thoughts.
A
A
It
can
be
a
bit
brighter,
throw
some
red
in
there
somewhere,
okay
yeah.
I
think
that's
that's
definitely
something
we
can
do.
We
just
want
to
make
sure
that
you
know
looking
at
it.
We
have
some
fun
pops
of
color,
like
you
guys,
are
talking
about
some
of
those
bright
colors
and
also
just
wanting
it
to
all
feel
cohesive,
too
right.
So
that's
great.
A
Yeah
sure,
yes,
I
can
do
this,
so
one
of
the
other
things
that
we
just
wanted
to
talk
about
part
of
what
we
do
in
any
of
our
park
projects
is
to
look
at
the
tree
canopy
and
make
sure
that
we're
looking
at
it
for
health
reasons.
We
do
an
assessment.
We
look
at
the
health
of
the
trees,
we
look
at
which
trees
need
to
be
pruned,
which
ones
are
in
great
condition.
So
what
we
did
with
this
project,
like
we
do
with
all
of
ours,
is
we
had
one
of
our
city?
A
The
one
is
an
aspen
that
is
on
the
oh
sorry,
not
aspen
at
linden,
sorry,
that
is
one
of
the
ones
to
the
left
of
the
archway
behind
the
bus
stop
and
it
is
in
it's
not
in
good
condition.
It's
got
a
scar
and
a
it's
splitting
down
the
length
of
the
tree
vertically
and
he's
concerned
about
it
falling
over.
So
we
tend
to
do
that
work
whenever
we
are
doing
the
capital
project.
A
There
are
also
two
other
red
maples
inside
the
park
which
he
has
concerns
about
in
terms
of
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
damage,
with
erosion
around
it
and
issues
with
diseases
in
the
tree,
and
so
he
want
he
recommended
taking
those
out.
So
those
are
the
three
that
we
have
marked
on
the
plan
right
here
and
try
and
working
to
mitigate
that
like
deb
was
saying,
with
planting
new
trees
so
that
we
can
keep
the
canopy
healthy,
we
can
get
the
trees
out.
A
That
could
cause
safety
issues
and
then,
with
the
trees
that
are
remaining
during
construction.
Those
will
all
be
protected
during
construction
and
will
also
be
pruned
for
health,
so
that
for
future
park
will
have
a
healthier
canopy
as
well.
So
just
want
to
make
sure
everybody's
aware
of
that.
So
it
doesn't
come
as
a
surprise.
A
So
I
don't
know
if
anybody
has
any
questions
on
that,
but
I'm
happy
to
talk
more
about
it.
If
anybody
has
specific
questions,
but
I
did
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we
we
talked
about
that
too,
even
though
that's
not
quite
as
much
fun
to
talk
about
as
play,
equipment
and
colors.
F
So
the
city
arborist.
Does
that
mean
that
we're
going
by
what
they
said
and
not
having
an
outside
consultant?
I
know
that
there
are
very
few
city
arborists
to
begin
with,
I've
been
to
several
of
the
speak
for
the
trees
meetings,
and
so
there's
definitely
a
lot.
You
know,
especially
with
all
the
different
trees
and
parks
and
on
sidewalks
and
city
property.
You
know
trying
to
plant
more
than
are
being
cut
down.
F
Right
has
obviously
been
an
issue,
but
I
didn't
know
if,
where
and
I'm
assuming
that,
there's
a
report
on
what
they
said
in
relation
to
how
sick
the
trees
are
or
how
old
they
are
or
the
you
know
the
issues,
but
I
also
didn't
know
if
that
was
you
know
just
like
with
everything
else.
F
There's
there's
always
another
opinion,
but
I
didn't
know
if
there
was
an
opportunity
of
that
happening
or
if
we
were
just
if
the
decision
was
already
being
made,
based
on
what
that
person
said
for
these
three
trees.
A
Yeah
the
as
of
right
now
the
decision
has
been
made.
It
is
the
the
tree
warden
for
the
city
of
boston.
Actually
is
the
one
who
did
the
assessment,
so
I
mean,
if
there's
a
concern
about
those
three
trees
in
particular,
we
can
talk
about
it,
but
they
they
are
in
declining
health
and
we
don't.
We
don't
take
trees
out.
A
We
take
taking
trees
out
very
seriously.
We
don't
do
it
lightly
and
we
try
to
save
all
trees
that
we
possibly
can.
But
if
there's
a
concern
that
those
ones
should
stay
irregardless
of
the
assessment
of
the
tree
warden,
we
can
take
a
look
at
it.
C
No,
it's
not
something
as
the
landscape
architecture
team.
You
know
we
try
to
do
everything
we
can
to
enhance
and
and
help
the
trees.
I
think
we
will
be
doing
some
sort
of
preventative
pruning
of
some
of
the
existing
trees
as
part
of
this
contract.
You
know
as
trees
mature,
you
know.
Sometimes
it's
really
especially
you
know,
before
ice
storms
and
things
to
really
clean
out
some
of
the
the
wood.
That's
in
a
tree.
C
F
And
I
also
wanted
to
check
they're
gonna,
be
aside
from
the
trees,
like
any
other
greenery
or
like
bushes,
that
are
gonna,
be
kind
of
like
bordering
the
park
or
like
the
sun,
not
the
sidewalk,
the
the
stairs
or
because
I
wasn't
sure
if
I,
if
I
saw
that.
C
So
we're
still
working
on
our
our
planting
plan
christine
right
now.
We
show
in
these
sort
of
enhanced
areas
with
with
the
ramp
system,
and
then
these
islands
that
we're
creating
some
of
these
trees
are
existing
and
some
are
proposed.
C
We
still
have
you
know
we
want
to
concentrate
any
sort
of
shrub
planting
to
areas
where
the
city
is
most
able
to
to
maintain
it
so
mostly
on
this
upper
terrace,
as
well
as
in
some
of
these
areas,
kind
of
along
this
frontage
zone
along
claiborne
street,
and
then
we
don't
currently
have
other
we're
going
to
really.
C
A
And
we're
trying
to
be
really
strategic
in
terms
of
what
types
of
plants
go
in
there
that
are
on
that
understory,
because
we
know
one
of
the
concerns
in
the
park
now
is
some
of
the
areas
that
have
shrubs
are
areas
where
people
are
doing
things
that
the
neighbors
don't
want
being
done
in
the
park
where
needles
or
other
things
get
hidden,
and
so
we're
also
trying
to
be
really
conscientious
of
not
creating
spaces
like
the
one
at
the
top
of
the
stairs.
Now
that
we
know
is
a
concern
too.
D
Want
to
speak
out
something
that
someone
put
in
the
chat
early
on
that
was
missing,
like
maybe
it
was
marcos
the
the
idea
of
bulletin
boards
at
the
top
and
bottom.
A
Yeah
ed,
what
I
had
written
back
to
marcos-
and
I
don't
know
if
I
I
don't
know
if
it
was
public
or
just
directly
to
him-
was
that
that's
definitely
something
we
can
look
into.
We
have
those
in
some
other
parks
and
it's
something
we
can
absolutely
look
into.
It's
something
that
usually
gets
collaborated
with
a
friends
group
or
with
a
main
streets
group
who
has
a
key,
typically
they're.
Not
we
don't
typically
put
ones
in
that
are
just
open
for
anybody
to
stick
things
on.
A
It's
usually
collaborated
with
a
community
group
so
that
we
can
make
sure
that
it's
maintained
and
that
we
don't
have
things
that
are
put
there,
that
aren't
appropriate,
but
that's
definitely
something
that
we
can
look
at
with
marcos.
If
that's
something
that
they're
interested
in
kind
of
being
the
keeper
of
probably
good
way
to
put
that.
C
And
I
think
something
else
like
in
addition
to
that
that
I
didn't
talk
about
this
me
talked
about
in
the
past.
We
are
planning
to
have
some
element
of
storage
for
the
main
streets
group
in
terms
of
having
you
know,
games
or
table
tennis
paddles
things
that
can
be
brought
out
again.
You
know
with
supervision
and
not
for
for
general
community
use.
C
You
know,
unless
you
know
marcos,
I
think,
would
be
the
best
person
to
speak
about
the
management
of
that,
but
that's
still
something
that
we're
planning
and
really
kind
of
over
adjacent
to
snapchat.
We
think
that
location
makes
makes
the
most
sense.
A
I'm
muted,
sorry,
you
think
I
would
learn
after
you
know
two
plus
years
of
doing
this,
so
just
want
to
check
in
does
anyone
else
have
any
other
thoughts
or
any
ideas
for
us
on
these
any
other
thoughts
on
what
you
liked
or
if
there's
anything,
we
should
look
at
as
we're
making
final
final
adjustments.
A
You're
very
welcome
theresa,
where
it
that's
honestly,
working
with
the
community
is
my
favorite
part
of
these
projects
and
then
getting
to
come
back
and
watch
the
community
use
the
park
after
the
fact
is
just
it's
the
best
part
of
my
job.
So
I'm
glad
I'm
glad
to
be
here.
Listening
so
you're
very
welcome,
theresa.
A
Well,
thank
you
all.
I
appreciate
it
and
oh
I'm
going
to
once
again
again
for
anybody
that
I
don't
already.
It
doesn't
already
get
my
emails,
I'm
putting
my
email
address
in
the
chat,
so
feel
free
to
email
me
and
make
sure
that
I
get
you
on
my
email
list
or
feel
free
to
put
your
email
address
in
the
chat.
If
I
don't
already
have
it
and
I'll
add
it
to
my
list
too,.
