Number
four
is
request
for
amendment
to
the
vote
of
june
13
2018
to
extend
the
tentative
developer,
designation
and
intent
to
sell
period
from
12
to
28
months
to
mission
hill
health
movement
incorporated.
This
request
concerns
one
personal
vacant
land
located
at
six
to
eight
gore
street
in
roxbury
shawnee.
If
you
please
present
vote
number
four
thank.
E
You
I
am
here
requesting
pfc
approval
of
the
extension
of
the
tentative
developer
designation
of
mission
hill
health
movement
incorporated
hereafter
known
as
mhhm
for
the
parcel
identified
in
the
vote
package
in
the
roxbury
section
of
boston.
As
background
prior
to
the
developer
designation
in
june
2018
dnd
conducted
an
extensive
public
process.
Dnd
staff
met
with
community
residents
to
discuss
the
inclusion
of
the
above
parcel
in
a
multi-parcel
development
rfp
at
community
community
meetings
on
june
9,
2016
july
21st,
2016
and
november
10
2016.,
based
on
community
feedback.
E
advertisements
were
made
in
the
state
central
register,
the
boston
herald
and
after
the
developer,
designation
and
the
city
record,
two
development
teams
applied
to
the
rfp
regarding
this
parcel
and
were
determined
to
meet
the
eligibility
criteria.
One
proposal
was
from
habitat
for
humanity
for
housing
and
the
other
was
mhhm's
proposal
for
the
community
garden.
The
applicants
were
invited
to
a
community
meeting
to
present
their
proposals,
and
support
was
overwhelming
in
favor
of
the
community
garden
pfc
approved
the
tentative
developer
designation
of
mhhm
on
june
13
2018.
E
in
may,
2019
dnd
was
prepared
to
present
mhhm
to
pfc
for
a
conveyance
vote
when
it
was
discovered
that
they
needed
to
undergo
a
tax
abatement
request
process
for
another
property
that
they
owned.
This
process
took
many
months
nine
months
precisely
and
its
conclusion
was
shortly
followed
by
the
arrival
of
the
coven
19
pandemic
in
boston.
E
Given
these
significant
challenges,
mhhm
and
dnd
were
not
able
to
move
forward
on
a
conveyance
vote
and
move
towards
construction
of
the
garden.
Until
this
summer
we
are
requesting
a
16-month
extension
of
mhhm's
tentative
developer
designation
so
that
we
might
return
to
pfc
for
a
conveyance
vote
in
september
and
enable
creation
of
this
community
important
community
resource.
E
E
In
summary,
if
pfc
approves
the
vote
request
to
extend
the
developer
designation
by
16
months,
it
will
lead
to
the
following
public
benefits:
return
vacant
property
and
dnd's
inventory
for
14
years
into
productive
use,
preserve
more
than
2
500
square
feet
of
land
as
protected
open
space
and
create
a
community
garden
in
a
neighborhood
challenged
by
inequitable
food
access.
I'm
here
to
answer
any
questions
you
may
have.
Thank
you.
