place

September
25th
2019.
There
are

meeting
minutes

facilities
department
and
also
for
the
Department
of
Neighborhood
Development.

presenting
today

Mansfield,
we

PFD
vote
number.

was
being
presented
by
John
Mansfield,
a
project
manager.

This
vote
request
concerns
a
contract
to
Castle
Booz
Associates
Inc,
to
provide
architectural
design
and
construction
administration
services
associated
with
the
Boston
Police
Department
headquarters,
security
upgrades
project
located
at
one
Schroeder,
Plaza
and
Roxbury.
The
contract
price
is
recommended
at
107
thousand
seven
hundred
and
fifty
dollars

The
public
facilities
department
is
managing
the
design
and
construction
of
the
project,
which
is
located
at
lunch.
Router
place
in
addition
to
PFD,
is
working
with
Boston
Police
facilities
to
timely,
deliver
the
design
services
for
this
project
within
three
years
of
the
contract
execution
date.
The
scope
of
the
services
for
the
project
includes
renovations,
minor
office
fit-out
in
a
new
public
entry,
with
security
enhancements
to
the
Boston
Police
Department
headquarters.

response
to
the
rfqs,
two
firms
submitted
statements
of
qualification
for
the
project
on
May
22nd
2019,
a
selection
committee
comprised
of
four
people
with
experience
in
design
planning
and
construction
from
the
City
of
Austin
public
facilities.
Department
in
Boston
police
reviewed
the
qualifications
of
each
firm
on
Wednesday
June
19th
2019,
using
the
defined
criteria
in
the
RFQ
on
Wednesday
June
19th
2019.

Two
firms
were
shortlisted
by
the
selection
committee
and
Castle
booths
incorporated
was
recommended
as
a
top
design
firm
for
its
team's
experience
with
Breyer
Boston
Police
Department
facilities
in
public
construction
projects
in
occupied
building
on
MGL
chapter
149,
public
construction
projects.
In
addition,
Castle
booths
incorporated
sub
consultants
are
specifications,
architects,
WBE
fire
protection,
Fernandez,
&,
Associates,
MBE
cost,
estimating
Maya
Cota
consulting
MBE
as
well
as
M,
be
firm
in
accordance
with
the
rfqs
guidelines
for
design
fee
calculations,
PFD
and
Castle
boost
negotiated
the
design
fee
not
to
exceed
80
7500,
including
20,000,
for
additional
services.
