E
Morning,
Commissioners
I'm
here
for
the
acceptance
Ben
vote
for
the
chapter
206
funding
received
from
Grant
received
from
the
State
Division
of
Banks.
We
were
awarded
a
grant
of
225
thousand
dollars.
We
applied
for
this
grant
in
January
2023
as
a
regional
foreclosure
education
center.
This
is
the
16th
year
that
we've
been
awarded
this
at
Grant.
The
Division
of
Banks
awarded
three
million
dollars
this
year
to
23
organizations,
10
Regional,
foreclosure,
counseling,
centers
and
13
counseling
centers
the
grant
support,
first-time
home
ownership,
counseling
programs
and
for
regional
foreclosure,
Education
Centers.
E
The
funding
is
possible
through
the
administration
fees
with
the
licensure.
The
loan
originations
according
to
chapter
255
of
the
Massachusetts
General
moh,
was
awarded
These
funds
to
support
foreclosure
activities
through
calendar
year
2023
to
implement
for
what
was
her
prevention
as
a
regional
foreclosure,
Education
Center,
the
funds
will
be
used
for
technical
assistance
of
our
non-profit
partner
agencies,
contracted
to
provide
retail
foreclosure
prevention
counseling
for
Boston
and
homeowners.
Our
non-profit
collectors
are
chosen
through
publicly
advertised
RFP
process.
These
non-profit
Partners
provide
free
foreclosure
counseling
to
Boston
homeowners.
E
Our
current
non-profit
partners
are
Urban
Edge,
ABCD
matapan,
family
services
and
esac
ecumenical
social
action
committee.
The
funds
will
be
used
to
provide
marketing
for
the
program
and
staff
foreclosure
training
and
for
technical
assistance
program
for
small
condominium
associations.
With
members
facing
foreclosure.
Last
year
we
assisted
646
condominium
associations
with
respondings.
The
additional
funds
allows
moh
to
increase
our
home
preservation
services
for
homeowners,
who
are
struggling
with
housing
expenses
due
to
economic
stagnation
and
Rising
costs.
Due
to
inflation.
E
This
fiscal
year,
mayor's
offices
with
housing
has
existed,
76,
homeowners,
home
preservation,
Services
the
Boston
Home
Center,
and
our
non-profit
Partners
provide
free
and
confidential
or
College
of
prevention.
Services
to
owner
occupy
Boston
homeowners.
This
fiscal
year,
the
mayor's
office
of
housing,
has
completed
144
intakes
and
helped
164
homeowners
avoid
foreclosure,
52
percent
of
them
received
loan
modifications
and
46
of
them
received
the
home
preservation
services.
E
Among
the
new
clients.
Most
of
our
our
clients
were
came
at
intake.
They
were
either
delinquent
or
at
risk,
and
only
20
percent
were
petitioned.
It's
very
important
that
we
reach
our
clients
earlier,
so
we
can
provide
greater
services
to
them.
Our
services
are
key
to
providing
homeowners
with
assistance
address
these
issues
early
in
their
process,
so
that
their
homes
are
not
petitioned
or
closed
upon
with
the
covid-19
crisis,
many
homeowners
are
still
struggling
with
economic
conditions
are
impacting
their
ability
to
pay
their
mortgages
and
Rising
living
expenses
due
to
inflation.
E
Our
key
our
services
remain
keyed,
providing
from
homeowners
assistance
needed
to
address
these
issues
and
to
negotiate
with
lenders
modifying
loans
earlier
in
the
process
so
that
they
are
not
petitioned
or
have
their
homes
November
of
2021
mayor's
office
of
housing
in
creating
emergency
reclusion
funds
for
homeowners
who
are
at
risk
of
foreclosure
due
to
code
19.,
we
have
assisted
198
homeowners.
So
far
with
this
funding
and
we've
provided
100
1
million
six
hundred
and
fifty
three
thousand
dollars
to
these
homeowners
for
covert
related
housing.
Delinquencies
such
as
mortgage
payments
and
Utility
payments.
E
These
funds
are
overseen
and
administered
by
our
three
non-profit
Partners.
Unfortunately,
the
need
for
our
foreclosure
Services
remains
steady.
Foreclosure
petitions
have
doubled
since
last
year,
through,
though
actual
foreclosures
have
remained
about
the
same
through
these
contracts
will
be
able
to
serve
a
minimum
of
150
new
clients
and
continue
on
selling
work
to
existing
130
kinds.
An
easy
one
should
result
in
160,
more
positive
resolutions.
So
thank
you
very
much
and
if
you
have
any
questions,
I'd
be
more
than
happy
to
respond
to
them.
A
B

right,
thank
you
vote

Unfortunately,

That
monster

since

I've
only
had
obtained
updated
