A
A
A
This
relationship
blends
well
with
lifestyle
branding
for
New
Balance
and
as
as
an
homage
to
the
rich
music
history
of
Brighton
and
Austin,
certainly
represented
by
Boston,
bred
globally
traveled
Amanda
Kaur,
who
song
boss
a
strong,
a
Boston
anthem
played
earlier
today.
Thank
you
for
coming.
Amanda.
A
Amanda
and
her
partner,
Charlie
Ferran,
happened
to
open
up
the
warrior
ice
arena
for
us.
So
it's
it's
nice
that
we
sort
of
adopted
her
as
our
our
anthem
for
Boston
Landing,
Boston
Landing
is
proud
to
have
become
the
recognizable
gateway
to
the
city
of
Boston,
mr.
mayor
from
the
West,
where
it
had
become
known
for
its

and

Thank
You

Thank
you
rich.
A
So
how
does
a
facility
like
the
track
at
New
Balance
in
a
project
like
that
Boston
Landing
happen
best
way
to
answer
that
is
by
telling
you
who
makes
it
happen
so
first
and
maybe
hold
our
applause
to
the
end
here.
First,
a
big
thank
you
to
the
families
of
the
groups,
I'm
about
to
mention
Thank,
You
Renee,
for
allowing
the
folks
I'm
about
to
mention
spend
time
it
takes
to
make
a
successful
project.

A
None
of
this
would
be
possible
without
the
vision
of
Jim
Davis
for
Boston
landing
and
especially
this
facility,
the
track
at
New
Balance,
where
the
aspiration
is
for
world
records
and
Jenny,
Boras
and
Trayvon
I.
Think
that's
where
you
come
in,
while
providing
a
healthy
playground
for
the
youth.
We
will
be
back
here
in
about
a
year
for
the
steam
bill,
topping
off
ceremony
and
two
and
a
half
short
two
and
a
half
years
for
the
opening
of
the
facility.
B
B
Governor
Baker,
mayor,
Walsh,
honored
guests,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
today
is
an
extra
special
day
for
New
Balance,
the
city
of
Boston
and
for
the
Austin
Brighton
community,
Annie
and
I,
and
the
entire
New
Balance
family
are
pleased
to
share
this
moment
with
all
of
you
to
celebrate
the
pinnacle
of
her
exciting
and
transformational
development.
The
track
at
New
Balance.
B
B
B
We
shared
our
office
with
other
tenants.
We
realized
it
was
time
to
have
our
own
headquarters.
The
opportunity
was
begging,
we
jumped
on
it
seven
or
eight
years
later,
after
purchasing
three
major
parcels
and
a
few
smaller
ones.
We
consolidated
them
into
a
single
parcel
and
we
proceeded
with
with
our
vision
and
our
dream
today
that
vision
and
that
dream
becoming
reality.
B
Now
changes
are
evident.
The
full
impact
is
yet
to
come.
It
will
be
astonishing,
I,
don't
say
things
like
this
very
often,
but
it
will
be
astonishing.
Literally
out
of
this
world
and
you'll
all
be
surprised.
When
you
see
you
think
what
you
know,
what
its
gonna
look
like,
but
you
never
know
until
it's
up
on
September
23rd
2013
at
the
same
location,
we
celebrated
the
groundbreaking
of
our
world
headquarters
and
the
birth
of
what
is
today
Boston
landing,
and
the
headquarters
is
right
over
there.
B
We
are
very
proud
to
have
Boston
landing
served
as
the
welcoming
gateway
into
the
city
of
Boston
from
the
West
and
I
continued
Boston
landing
is
a
unique
one-of-a-kind
mixed-use
entity
comprised
of
900,000
square
feet
of
office,
building
with
possible
Myo
biomedical
research,
a
200
room
hotel
serving
as
a
hospitality
center
for
both
the
occupants
of
the
complex
and
the
community.
In
general,
there
are
up
to
65,000
square
feet
of
retail
opportunities
and
a
large
variety
of
mixed,
culinary
establishments
provide
providing
24-hour
services
and
amenities
that
was
back
in
13.
B
Still,
the
pinnacle
of
the
project
is
a
New
Balance,
Sports
Center.
It
is
a
250,000
square
foot
athletic
complex
with
fitness
and
recreational
areas,
plus
a
world-class
200-meter
track
with
hydraulic
banks
that
flatten
to
an
open
field
allowing
for
sports
such
as
lacrosse
soccer,
volleyball
and
basketball.
B
B
B
The
track
at
New
Balance
sets
a
new
performance
standard
in
professional
and
amateur
sports.
It
is
a
one-of-a-kind
facility,
its
design,
location
and
amenities,
evoke
a
spirit
of
innovation,
of
creative
confidence
and
efficiency,
an
incomparable
level
of
excellence
and
competitive
spirit,
inspiring
athletes
to
perform
at
levels
they
only
dreamed
of
attaining.
So
you
guys
have
a
real
opportunity
here.
B
B
B
The
common
goal
for
the
betterment
of
the
community
transcended
any
personal
agenda
or
interest,
including
politics,
as
Jim
said,
the
final
results
are
accredit
to
the
many
it.
It
is
a
true
example
of
what
can
be
accomplished
with
proper
leadership
and
cooperation,
Thank
You,
governor
and
Thank
You.
Mr.
mayor,
a
special
thanks
goes
to
our
neighbors
in
local
awesome,
bright
and
community
organizations
and
our
local
city
and
state
representatives
allowing
us
the
confidence
to
move
forward,
especially
in
the
early
stages
in
the
early
stages.
All
we
had
was
a
plan.
B
B
B
C
Okay,
how's
everybody
good
good,
hey.
This
is
truly
really
really
exciting
for
anyone.
That's
part
of
the
New
Balance
running
family
to
be
here
at
this
event
today,
and
it's
a
lot
of
the
folks
that
have
been
behind
the
scenes
on
this.
This
soon-to-be
facility
are
here
in
the
room
and
it's
been
an
amazing
to
work
with
before
I
go
into
my
4550
minute
speech
here.
C
I
want
to
introduce
some
special
guests
that
we
have
her
today:
real
special
guests,
I'm,
going
to
start
with
the
second-tallest
man
to
my
right,
Boris
Berrien,
who
stand
up
board
so
Boris.
It
was
a.
It
was
a
a
kick-ass
Division,
two
800-meter
runner
who
transitioned
into
Team
New
Balance
and
has
a
gold
medal
around
his
neck
from
the
2016
indoor
world
championships
in
the
800
meters.
C
He
currently
lives
in
our
part
of
the
world
with
the
climates,
not
nearly
this
nice,
but
he
came
out
here
for
this,
and
we
thank
you
for
that.
For
our
son
next
at
the
end,
is
Trayvon
Bromell.
So
Trayvon
was
a
high
school
legend
from
the
state
of
Florida,
first
high
school
ever
to
break
10
seconds
in
the
100
meters,
and
he
also
has
a
gold
medal
around
his
neck
from
his
first
year
with
Team
New
Balance,
also
2016
gold
medal
at
the
indoor
world
championships.
C
And
in
the
middle
of
these,
these
two
fine
gentlemen,
here
Jenni
Simpson,
so
Jenni
is
one
of
the
first
athletes
that
joined
the
new
crew
about
nine
years
ago.
Now
is
10
years
ago,
you're
getting
no
change,
so
so
ten
years
have
gone
by
since
Jenni
joined
us
Jenni
is
the
single
most
decorated
middle
distance
runner
in
USA
history
she's,
a
gold
medalist
at
the
World
Championships
she's
also
got
two
silvers
in
other
outdoor
world
championships
and
a
bronze
medal
at
the
last
Olympics
Jenni's.
Truly
a
legend
in
the
sport.
C
He's
a
six-time
winner
of
the
fifth
avenue
mile
in
new
york
city
and
is
decorated
by
yon
belief
at
the
NC
double-a
level.
Oh
seven
times,
sorry
Jennifer!
Is
there
a
bonus
to
that
seventh
one
I
know
so,
but
I
has
been
a
huge
part
of
our
our
family
here
at
New
Balance
running,
but
but
also
just
a
huge
part
of
really
what
John
Evans
who's
in
the
the
back
of
the
room
here
really
kick-started
ten
years
ago.
I
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
coming
out
and
the
weather
gets
better
tomorrow
so
enjoy.
So.
C
So
personally,
I'm
extremely
excited
to
be
here.
As
I
said,
I
actually
grew
up
in
in
this
area.
I
grew
up
five
miles
directly
west
of
here,
and
I
was
an
athlete
at
the
high
school
level
in
track
and
field,
and
the
collegiate
level
I
was
going
to
say.
I
was
a
student
athlete,
but
one
of
my
college
coaches
in
the
back
of
the
room-
and
he
might
have
he
might
have
contested
that
word
student
athlete.
C
So
I
was
an
athlete
up
the
road
from
here
and
spent
spent
some
of
the
best
years
of
my
life
and
running
I
happen
to
have
two
sons
running
collegiately
and
a
third
son
who
just
started
running
in
high
school,
so
the
need
for
resources,
the
need
for
energy
and
creativity
around
the
sport
of
track
and
field.
I'm
hyper
aware
of
this
facility
is
going
to
allow
us
to
bring
an
energy
and
a
level
of
attention
to
detail
and
connect
kind
of
coolness
to
the
sport
of
track
and
field
that
it
desperately
needs.
C
We've
got
an
absolute
perfect
location
for
our
product
and
marketing
teams
to
be
able
to
come
here
and
see
what
consumers
are
doing
see.
What
the
kids
from
the
local
high
school
is,
whether
it's
in
Boston
or
the
suburbs
that
are
in
here
competing
on
a
weekly
basis,
we'll
also
be
able
to
host
significant
events
and
try
some
new
things
and
bring
some
new
energy
to
the
sport
for
our
sports
research
group.
C
This
is
like
a
dream:
we're
gonna
embed
a
facility
here,
that's
going
to
allow
us
to
see
athletes
of
all
types
of
all
speeds
of
all
ages
and
also
be
able
to
monitor
them
and
see
them
in
creative
ways,
see
them
when
they're
fatigued
see
them
before
events
see
them
after
events
after
workouts
and
learn
a
lot
more
about
the
human
body
than
we
can
in
an
isolated
facility.
So
we're
really
excited
about
that
sports
facility.
That's
that's
going
to
be
here.
You
know.
C
Lastly,
I
just
want
to
I
just
want
to
really
thank
mr.
Davis
for
the
support
that
he
has
given
the
cat
Gouri
of
running,
not
not
just
the
category
running
at
New
Balance,
but
he's
allowed
us
to
go
at
things
differently
within
it.
We've
been
trying
to
grow
our
running
business
and
sell
more
product.
We've
been
trying
to
sell
more
track
and
field
shoes,
but
along
the
way
we
know
it's
equally
important.
C
To
give
back
to
the
category
in
to
the
sport
of
running,
we've
tried
to
do
that
everywhere,
whether
it's
in
New,
York,
City
or
London,
or
what
we've
done
at
the
high
school
Nationals.
This
is
going
to
allow
us
an
opportunity
right
here
in
our
back
yard,
to
give
back,
give
back
to
young
kids
and
make
sure
that
the
world
keeps
moving
and
kids
stay
fit.
C
I
want
to
introduce
now
Josh
from
from
she's
helped
me
out
from
the
Bowery
Presents
sorry
who's
going
to
really
bring
a
level
of
excitement
to
a
facility
that
it
hasn't
had
before
when
I
said,
the
only
the
only
thing
almost
as
cool
is
track
and
field
is
the
music
and
entertainment
world.
Someone
who
pass
it
on
to
Josh.
So
thank
you
very
much.
D
Good
morning,
on
behalf
of
the
Bowery
Presents,
an
AEG
presents
we're
thrilled
to
be
part
of
the
groundbreaking
for
the
track
at
New
Balance.
We
look
forward
to
calling
this
neighborhood
home
and
bringing
outstanding
artists
to
what
will
be
an
amazing
concert
venue
first
off
I'd
like
to
thank
Jim
Davis
for
taking
his
vision
and
making
this
project
a
reality
from
our
office,
which
is
right
up
the
road
on
Braintree
Street.
D
We
literally
look
out
at
this
site
and
we've
watched
it
transform
it's
a
mix
that
includes
the
New
Balance
headquarters,
retail
and
restaurant
spaces
life
science
companies
in
a
brand
new
train
station.
None
of
this
would
have
been
possible
without
the
commitment
to
building
what
is
continuing
to
become
one
of
the
most
exciting
and
dynamic
developments
in
the
city.
D
Jim
did
a
great
job
of
thanking
the
overall
project
team
here,
but
a
few
who
worked
closely
with
us,
Scott
Hudson
from
CBRE
Steven
Martok
from
Studio
tack
and
Kristen
Scanlon,
who
have
worked
very
closely
with
us
over
the
years
on
this
and
other
projects.
I'm
happy
to
share
this
exciting
event.
Today,
with
our
Bowery
Presents
in
Ag,
presents
teams
from
New
York
and
Los
Angeles
and
our
local
office
here
in
Boston
I'm,
proud
of
the
team
that
we've
developed
here
over
the
last
nine
years.
D
During
that
time,
the
team
has
brought
thousands
of
amazing
concerts
to
the
city
of
Boston
and
the
region.
For
the
last
six
years,
we've
brought
our
passion
for
building
and
operating
great
venues
to
Harvard
Square
at
the
Sinclair,
which
has
quickly
become
a
favorite
of
artists,
favorite
venue
for
artists
and
concert
goers
alike,
we're
confident
that
the
new
venue
at
Boston
Landing
will
replicate
the
success
we've
had
in
fostering
and
growing
artists
careers,
while
the
while
delivering
the
absolute
best
concert
experience.
We
look
forward
to
showcasing
a
wide
variety
of
artists.
D
Well,
can
you
continue
the
long
tradition
of
Brighton
and
Alston
as
being
a
center
for
music
arts
and
culture
in
the
city?
We
always
strive
to
weave
our
venues
into
the
fabric
of
the
communities
that
we
are
in,
and
we
look
at
this
as
everything
of
providing
jobs
for
residents
a
gathering
place
for
local
community
events
or
a
place
to
relax
and
see
a
concert
on
the
weekend
at
this
new
venue.
We
will
offer
fans
great,
live
music
experiences
that
the
neighborhood
and
city
can
take
great
pride
in
calling
their
own.
D
E
Thank
you
very
much.
Josh
in
you
know
it's
it's
an
honor
to
be
hit
today.
There's
a
lot
of
thank
yous.
Everyone's
been
thanked
and
I'm
gonna.
Thank
some
more
people.
I
want
to
thank
Jim
Halliday
for
your
leadership
here.
Thank
you.
Jim
Davis,
for
your
vision.
I
had
a
chance
the
other
day
to
meet
with
the
folks
from
bos,
and
when
you
really
think
about
what's
happening
on
this
location,
obviously
we
think
about
sports.
We
think
about
the
Bruins
and
Celtics.
E
Now
it's
gonna
be
thinking
about
track
and
field
we're
meeting
about
music,
but
there's
also
a
lot
of
innovation
happening
here
on
this
very
site.
So
I
want
to
thank
you,
Jim
for
your
vision.
I
want
to
thank
the
elected
officials
for
I,
knew
I
knew
Jim
I
knew
Jim
through
elected
officials
before
he
and
Michael,
and
Mark
and
Kevin
just
on
what
used
to
say
about
the
impact
of
New
Balance,
and
you
absolutely
right
so
I
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
introducing
me
and
thank
you
for
everything
you
do
here
in
the
city.
E
I
also
want
to
give
a
shout
out
to
city
council
needs
for
sabe
George's
with
us
today
and
there's
a
lot
of
people
from
this
must
be
a
big
deal,
because
you
had
the
police,
commissioner
you're
the
fire
commissioner,
the
chief
of
staff,
Brian
golden
the
entire
Boston
plan,
development
agency
and
a
bunch
of
people
all
from
the
city.
So
this
is
a
big
deal
today.
So
thank
you
all
for
coming
today.
For
this.
E
The
only
thing
I'm
a
little
disappointed
Josh,
you
really
don't
seem
too
excited
about
this
I
mean
I'm.
Sorry
very.
That
was
awesome.
That
was
awesome,
but
but
this
is
this-
this
is
an
incredible
resource
for
the
city
of
Boston
in
the
entire
region,
this
track
and
field.
It's
gonna
provide
things
that
we
really
want
to
see
in
Boston.
I
want
to
congratulate
the
athletes
here
as
well,
for
being
weather
for
their
incredible
accomplishment,
but
also
for
taking
the
time
to
be
with
us
today.
E
We
need
to
continue
to
make
sure
that
we
see
more
high-quality
sports
facilities
for
all
different
levels
of
competition,
obviously
concert
venues
as
well
when,
over
the
last
few
years
years
ago,
back
in
the
day
people
talked
about,
Boston
was
the
place
with
so
many
bands
got
their
start
and
over
time
we
kind
of
lost
that
title.
We
have
an
opportunity
here
to
get
that
title
back.
To
really
have
these
bands
not
to
come
back
and
really
make
an
impact
on
the
music
world
like
we
once
did
a
long
time
ago.
E
We
still
doing
well,
I
mean
if
we
don't
turn
us
low.
We
don't
say
we're
doing
a
bad
job,
but
there's
really
an
opportunity
here
with
the
concert
venues
as
well
to
really
put
us
back
on
the
map
and
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
that.
Boston
landing
is
an
anchor
for
a
neighborhood,
that's
hitting
his
stride.
Jim
Davis
talked
about
it.
He
talked
about
the
the
impact
of
really
taking
an
area
that
had
been
underutilized
and
turning
it
around.
I
want
to
thank
the
community.
E
That's
here
from
this
neighborhood
that
supported
these
projects.
You've
really
created
something
really
special
here,
it's
a
destination
point.
We
have
great
restaurants
and
great
shops
and
great
amenities
here,
and
it
really
has
transformed
one
of
the
gateways
into
the
city
of
Boston.
That's
something
that's
really
important
for
us.
It's
also
an
example
of
a
public-private
partnership
between
the
city,
the
state
and
New
Balance
as
a
company,
something
that
we
have
to
continue
to
do
more
of
in
this
world
of
politics
that
we
live
in
today.
E
It
seems
like
people
we
just
want
to
fight
and
fight
and
be
divisive.
That's
not
the
case
here
in
Boston
in
Massachusetts.
It's
about
how
do
we
work
collectively,
together
with
all
the
different
industries,
to
make
sure
that
we're
successful
so
together,
what's
been
created
here?
Is
a
vibrant,
walkable
neighborhood,
that's
connected
to
downtown
and
surrounding
communities.
This
is
an
economic
engine
of
jobs
and
housing.
Amenities
for
the
people
of
this
community
in
the
neighborhood
is
more
than
the
Salva
spots,
with
the
Bruins
and
Celtics.
E
Alongside
this
iconic
Boston
company,
it's
an
inspiring
pride
to
our
city
of
Boston,
but
the
new
commuter
rail
was
already
mentioned
earlier
earlier.
The
impact
of
the
community
rail.
It's
incredible
that
the
it's
over
s
that
overshot
the
estimate
of
how
many
people
would
actually
use
this
use
the
station.
So
again,
I
want
to
thank
you,
balance
and
Jim
working
with
the
state
and
the
elected
officials
in
the
city.
For
that,
it's
in
very
important
for
us
when
you
speak
second
to
last,
there's
really
not
a
lot.
E
You
can
say
because
it's
been
all
taken
so,
as
you
can
see,
I'm
putting
my
notes
here
so
I'm
trying
to
think
of
something
that
the
governor
might
not
say
so,
I
can
get
it
going.
Okay,
I'm
gonna
leave
you
a
couple
things
ago,
but
the
thing
that's
fun
about
about
this
groundbreaking
is
that
you
have
a
company
and
people
that
are
committed
to
the
city
of
Boston.
You
have
people
that
truly
care,
and
that
makes
the
big
impact.
Tell
you
a
quick
story.
E
I
said
I'm
gonna
get
you
a
number.
I
need.
I
need
sneakers
for
some
kids,
because
we
want
to
be
able
to
express
these
young
people
that
we
care
about
them,
that
the
community
cares
about
them,
that
people
care
about
them,
and
he
says
absolutely
just.
Let
me
know
how
many
pairs
of
sneakers
you
have
do.
You
need
and
I
went
back
and
I
asked
ICF,
so
a
police
officer
at
the
time
how
many
pairs
of
secrets
we
hid
need.
E
He
said
about
250
pairs,
so
I
called
Jim,
Davis
back
and
I
said
Jim
the
numbers
kind
of
high.
He
goes,
don't
worry
about
it.
I
said
it's
250
pairs
of
sneakers.
He
said:
where
do
you
want
them
to
live
in?
That's
the
type
of
involvement
that
this
company
is
all
about,
not
just
in
this
neighborhood
and
that's
the
type
of
feeling
when
I
come
to
this
groundbreaking
I
went
to
the
Celtics
of
the
Bruins.
It
was
not
just
about
a
event
for
a
venue
for
music
venue
or
a
track.
E
It's
about
really
creating
a
special
place
for
a
community
so
again
on
behalf
of
the
city
of
Boston.
I
want
to
thank
Jim,
Davis
and
New
Balance
for
this
incredible
vision
for
what
they
do
here
and
now.
I
have
the
honor
of
turning
the
churning
and
handing
off
the
baton
to
our
cleanup,
hitter,
I,
guess
to
a
closer
who's.
Gonna
run
the
last
leg
of
this
race,
our
governor,
my
friend,
governor
Charlie,
Baker,.
F
Well,
it's
all
been
said:
it's
just
as
everybody
hasn't
said
it.
Let
me
start
first
of
all
by
thanking
whoever
it
was
that
built
this
thing,
because
I
can't
imagine
what
this
event
would
have
been
like
if
it
was
outdoors
and
let
me
follow
with
a
thought
that
sort
of
builds
on
a
comment
that
the
mayor
just
made
about
the
role
that
New
Balance
and
the
Davis
family
is
played
in
this
city.
F
If
you
think
about
this,
New
Balance
and
the
Davis
family
has
been
in
this
neighborhood
for
40
years
and
well
we're
here
today
to
talk
about
the
track,
and
all
that
comes
with
that.
In
many
respects,
this
is
the
result.
This
whole
thing
is
the
result
of
40
years
with
a
dialogue
and
conversation
and
relationship,
development
and
Trust.
F
In
addition
to
the
trust
that
was
associated
with
this,
there
was
an
extraordinary
amount
of
vision.
These
are
all
the
elements
that
so
many
people
everywhere
around
the
country.
Even
the
globe
are
talking
about
when
they
talk
about
urban
communities
live-work-play,
how
much
more
live,
work
and
play.
Can
you
get
than
this
and
by
the
way
he
ran
a
nine
eight
four
hundred
that
is
like
there.
It
is
just
like
that
she
had
a
four
sixteen
mile
on
the
streets
of
New
York,
this
guy
we're
gonna.
F
One
point:
three,
four,
eight,
four,
three,
four,
three,
four
three,
four
one:
four
eight
I
got
that
number
I'm
Dyslexic
one
for
three
in
the
800.
That's
like
a
sprint,
just
imagine
what
you're
gonna
be
able
to
do
on
this
track.
Here,
it's
a
very
special
day,
but
I'm
telling
you
this
day
builds
on
a
series
of
personal
investments
that
a
lot
of
people
have
made
to
one
another
into
this
community
over
a
very
long
period
of
time
and
a
constant
through
that
is
Jim
Davis
and
the
Davis
family
and
New
Balance.
Congratulations
to
everybody!
