A
B
B
B
B
B
And
mr.
Tom
Gomes,
who
is
currently
the
administrator
at
Sancta,
Maria
nursing
home
in
Cambridge,
and
it's
a
very
similar
situation
to
the
Donna
reown,
it's
a
historic
nursing
home.
It
dates
back
about
70
years
and
those
of
you
who
may
be
familiar
with
it.
It
was
the
hospital
of
the
Red,
Sox
I,
know
they're
not
doing
too
good,
but.
B
A
C
C
Lord,
our
God,
through
the
power
of
the
Holy
Spirit,
your
son,
healed
our
infirmities
and
the
diseases
when
he
sent
for
his
disciples
to
preach
the
gospel
he
commanded
them
to
visit
and
heal
the
sick.
Grant
that
in
this
place,
all
staff
will
receive
with
kindness
all
patients
who
will
be
here
and
will
attendance
themselves
with
skill
and
care
so
that
those
who
come
here
sick
will
live
restored
in
spirit
and
in
body
and
ask
forever
to
praise
your
mercy.
We
ask
this
through
Christ
our
Lord.
C
B
A
Thank
you
father
for
that
blessing
for
all
of
us.
What
father
forgot
was
there
was
going
to
be
a
collection,
so
he's
going
to
a
collection
if
I'm
innocent
yeah,
so
just
get
ready,
Gate
20s
out
I
want
to
thank
you.
Father
I
want
to
thank
state
representative
Adrienne,
might
a
row
for
his
great
support
and
Senator
drove
encores
with
us
today.
Thank
You
senator
for
your
great
stuff
to
all
the
staff
here
in
this
special
place.
A
Before
that,
I
want
to
thank
the
community
of
Don
aurion
for
everything
that
you
do
to
support
the
residents
here
in
Orion
Heights.
This
renovation
is
beautiful
and
it's
another
step.
That's
really
showing
about
the
commitment
to
high
quality
care
for
our
residents.
Here
in
Boston
we're
joined
by
Emily
Shea
from
our
age,
strong,
Boston,
Commission
who's.
Here
today
and
I'm.
A
You
know
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
working
with
organizations
like
John,
Orion
and
other
places
to
make
sure
that
our
older
Bostonians
really
being
able
to
thrive
in
the
in
the
twilight
of
their
life,
making
sure
that's
important.
We
did
a
big
assessment
last
year
and
we
found
out
the
importance
of
we
used
to
be
called
the
ugly
Commission
and
we
changed
the
name,
but
it
wasn't
just
a
name.
Change
was
a
mission
change.
It
was
really
something
that
was
really
important
and
it
was
driven
by
the
residents
of
our
city.
A
So
I
want
to
thank
anyone
here.
Who
was
part
of
that
today,
as
well
as
pushing
that
mission,
but
I
also
want
to
thank
because
Donna
Reynolds
home
has
a
legacy
of
looking
out
for
our
older
residents
and
older
residents
of
East,
Boston
and
other
pots
of
the
city
in
the
in
the
Commonwealth.
Quite
honestly,
the
mission
is
strengthened
by
the
faith
and
your
values
treat
everyone
as
a
neighbor,
something
that's
really
important.
I
met
a
few
ladies
down
the
back
there
they're
from
winter
openiy,
but
they're
really
from
eesti,
so
they
said
they'd.
A
A
But
you
know,
I
was
I
was
on
a
panel,
the
other
night
talking
about
homelessness
in
Boston,
and
we
were
talking
about
how,
in
the
last
five
years,
we've
housed
1,600
chronically
homeless
people
who
have
taken
4,500
years
of
homelessness
off
the
street
and
we're
talking
basically
about
what's
happening
in
a
power
around
the
country
and
the
gentleman
got
up
to
the
microphone
and
he
asked
us
what
kind
of
kid
we
have
for
our
homeless
folks
and
he
I
kind
of
give
any
instrument.
A
My
father
was
it
had
surgery,
he
wasn't
doing
too
well
and
he
spent
some
time
trauma.
Previous
life
was
at
the
Bostonian
nursing
home
in
Dorchester
and
the
care
that
my
father
got.
There
wasn't
quite
as
good
as
my
mother,
because
my
mother
was
doting.
All
over
was
an
Irish
woman,
but
it
was.
It
was
incredible
care
and
it
was
that
the
staff
and
the
people
that
are
here
you
are
an
extension
of
the
family.
No,
my
father
passed
a
year
later.
A
A
We
host
we've
hosted
a
memory
cafe
to
the
residents
of
East
Boston
and
working
with
with
people
and
families
on
on
dementia
and
making
sure
families
and
people
understand
that
and
making
sure
providers
understand
that
making
sure
that
seniors
have
exercise
classes,
making
sure
that
we
work
on
our
adult
day
care
program,
all
the
things
that
are
happening
here
as
a
model
of
what
we're
looking
at
the
city
of
Boston.
So
again,
congratulations!
B
So
before
we
bring
up
our
next
speaker,
I
think
everybody
would
agree
the
cake.
This
is
a
beautiful,
beautiful
project.
So
building
this
project
took
almost
a
year,
believe
it
or
not,
and
anybody
who
knows
my
partner,
Laura
and
myself
were
rather
particular
people.
If
you
would
some
say,
that's
a
blessing
others
difficult
at
times,
but
I
know
we
have
a
couple
people
from
platinum
here.
Platinum
was
the
builders
of
this
Adult
Day,
Health,
Center,
so
platinum,
little
round
of
applause.
B
B
D
Good
afternoon
everybody,
this
is
such
an
exciting
day
for
those
of
you
who
hadn't
seen
this
space
before
the
transformation.
Let
me
just
say
when
I
stepped
in
here,
I
didn't
even
believe.
I
was
still
in
the
dawn
or
II
own,
because
that's
just
how
transform
this
looks
and
that's
really
a
testament
on
to
you
and
to
the
incredible
team
you
have
here
at
the
dawn
Oreo.
D
The
message
we're
sending
to
members
of
our
community
is
that
they
will
be
respected
and
have
the
dignity
they
deserve,
especially
in
their
time
of
need
and
in
their
time
of
sickness.
But
I
do
think.
It's
important
to
note
that
this
investment
is
not
unique.
I've
been
coming
to
the
dawn
or
II
own
each
and
every
year
for
various
events
and
I
feel
like
every
year.
We
are
unveiling
a
new
investment
here
at
the
dawn
Orion,
and
that
too
was
a
testament
to
your
leadership
into
the
commitment.
D
Your
whole
team
has
to
the
East
Boston
community
and,
on
behalf
of
the
community
I
just
want
to
say
how
grateful
we
are
to
have
you
and
to
have
the
incredibly
committed
and
dedicated
staff
that
you
have
here
at
the
dawn
Orion.
So
again,
thank
you,
I'm,
so
happy
to
be
here
and
I'm
so
happy
to
celebrate
in
this
beautiful
transformation.
Congratulations.
B
E
Good
afternoon,
everyone-
it's
wonderful
to
be
here
with
all
of
you.
This
is
truly
transformative.
I
did
want
to
say
hi
to
father
America
thinking
there.
You
are
it's
great
to
see
you
growing
up.
I
spent
a
lot
of
time
here.
My
father
was
a
knight
of
durian
served
on
the
board
for
a
long
time.
We
always
partook
in
Christmas
parties
with
the
residents
so
on
and
so
forth.
Is
he
somebody
nodding
your
head?
E
Cuz
I
know
you
were
there
too,
but
to
walk
in
here
and
see
this
transformation
is
just
it
has
me
on
my
heels,
I
mean
this
place
has
never
looked
so
good
and
it
really
is
a
testament
to
the
leadership
of
Tom
and
the
staff.
That's
here
today.
The
continued
investment
in
this
property
is
is
something
worthwhile
for
all
of
our
community
and
it
serves
such
a
vulnerable
population
in
our
community,
our
elderly
and
infirmed
that
it's
so
necessary.
You.
E
Hearing
on
Beacon
Hill
this
week
and
it
was
in
public
health
and
it
was
revealed
to
us
that
more
than
190
nursing
homes
have
closed
in
this
Commonwealth
in
the
last
20
years.
35
more
in
this
Commonwealth
are
scheduled
to
close
this
year,
and
you
know,
essentially,
a
nursing
homes
were
before
the
committee
asking
for
intervention
from
the
state
and
through
those
time
times,
it's
wonderful
to
see
under
the
leadership
of
Tom
and
by
the
good
work
of
everyone
in
this
room
that
the
dawn
already
own
isn't
closing
it's
moving
in
the
right
direction.
E
It's
opening
up
new
wings,
it's
serving
other
people
in
adult
day
care,
and
it's
so
important
in
such
a
testament
to
the
leadership
here
that
I
just
want
to
say
on
behalf
of
the
community.
Thank
you
all
so
very
much
from
the
administration
to
the
workers.
Every
day.
We
appreciate
what
you
do
so
much
and
I
know
the
constituency
and
the
residents
hairdos
do
the
same
so
again.
Thank
you
very
much.
B
All
right
at
this
point
again,
I
just
want
to
ask
to
my
partners
to
come
up
mr.
Michael
Walsh
and
miss
Laura
McDonald
we're
gonna.
Do
the
ribbon-cutting
ceremony
so
we're
gonna
line
up
we're
gonna
give
Michael
the
scissors
cuz
we
voted.
He
was
the
brains
in
the
partnership
and
we're
figuring.
He
can
cut
safely
and
we
can
get
this
done
with
no
injuries,
though
I
am
recognizing
the
skill
sets
of
doctors
and
nurses
in
the
room.
That
is
scary
scissors,
but
we're
gonna
make
this
happen.
I
think
we're
gonna
line
up
right
here.
