Description
Mayor Walsh finishes off the annual "Mayor on Main" trolley tour, honoring Boston Main Streets Awards recipients for their outstanding work as business owners and volunteers within their communities. Day 3 of the tour sees the Mayor visit Egleston Square, East Boston, and Brighton.
A
B
A
Shining
upon
you,
I
would
like
to
welcome
you
all
today
for
a
visit
of
mehron
main
we're
thrilled
to
have
Mayor
Walsh
and
the
Office
of
Economic
Development.
A
A
A
She
is
the
director
he's
possible
up
combined
martial
arts,
a
Royals
program
very
he's,
also
a
member
of
our
board
she's
there
whenever
we
call
on
her
she's
been
around
for
everything
she
makes
her
kids
weed
and
clean
our
ago
since
we're
please
started
in
their
uniforms
and
she's,
always
she's,
very
supportive
and
dedicated
to
the
community,
and
so
now
I'm
pleased
to
introduce
mayor
Walsh.
He
is
here
to
present
the
awards.
C
Thank
You
Denise
and
thanks
everywhere,
Main
streets
I,
know
we're
gonna,
give
it
a
three
different
awards
today.
Three
different
areas
but
I
want
to
thank
all
the
main
streets.
I'll
go
into
all
the
individual
ones
in
a
minute.
I
want
to
get
a
special
shout-out
to
Egleston
square
and
the
toilet
members
that
are
here.
This
is
incredible
neighborhood.
This
is
an
incredible
business
district.
You
stay
on
top
of
making
sure
you're,
bringing
as
many
new
businesses
the
community
as
possible
and
supporting
the
old
sort.
C
C
It's
a
great
atmosphere,
and
one
thing
that's
important
about
this
neighborhood
and
that
O'malley
was
talking
a
minute
ago-
is
that
we
celebrate
our
culture
and
diversity
as
a
city,
but
we
also
do
it
through
our
food
and
it's
an
opportunity
for
people
and
angles
are
square,
we're
not
to
mitigating,
come
in
and
experience
and
incredible
to
make
and
food
and
get
a
chance
to
taste
some
great
food
Omar.
Thank
you.
C
This
store
opened
two
years
ago,
one
year
and
a
half
ago
and
has
been
an
amazing
asset
to
the
community,
and
it's
done
some
amazing
things.
So
we
want
to
congratulate
you
on
behalf
of
Main
streets.
I
know,
there's
other
people
here.
I
want
to
thank
John
Burroughs,
who
died
chief
economic
development
is
here.
Thank
you.
C
C
C
And
the
volunteer,
though
here
wasn't,
she
already
got
a
huge
shout
out,
but
let
me
just
say
about
main
sheets
before
I
bring
a
volunteer.
The
air
award
up,
Main
Street
has
a
director
as
you
do
here.
It
has
avoided
directors,
which
is
volunteers,
but
it's
really
the
volunteers
that
make
the
Main
Street
program
they're
the
ones
that
do
all
the
work,
and
in
this
particular
case,
are
you
hanging
out
or.
C
You
run
to
the
neighborhood
oftentimes
people
kind
of
living
with
you
and
you
think
about
Main
streets
advocates
of
the
right.
Next
unity
has
a
long
history
of
activism
and
volunteer
work
and
JP
and
I
want
to
congratulate
you
want
everything
that
you
do
and
everyone
here
what
you
put
from
that
apply.
D
Am
here,
thank
you,
I'm,
here
to
recognize
our
volunteer
of
the
year
diamond
cutter
day
and
our
business
of
the
unit
couldn't
get
there.
We
start
with
little
different.
They
took
over
at
responsible
that
has
a
lot
of
tradition
in
their
community
center
street
company
and
they
have
since
turned
into
early
they're
gonna,
go
to
spot
in
our
neighborhood,
but
what
it
really
appealed
to
me
and
I
think
our
name
would.
One
of
the
reasons
we
nominated
little
different
is
good,
starting
the
rocketry
Club
for
kids.
E
D
You
walk
you
and
you'll
see
model
rockets
all
over
the
walls,
and
it's
just
fantastic.
It
makes
it
a
real
community,
not
to
mention
convention,
contributes
to
our
organization
and
everything
else
that
happens
in
government.
Melvin's,
head
oven
has
been
our
treasurer
for
as
long
as
I've
been
on
board.
I
only
could
have
done
it
without
it.
He
was
there
to
steer
me
through
a
lot
of
the
things
that
we've
done
since
I
started
and
he's
a
member
of
so
many
other
organizations
in
our
community.
He
is
probably
the
hardest-working
volunteer.
D
C
You
Sylvia,
ginger,
Thank,
You,
ginger
and
I'm
part
of
what
we're
doing
here
today
is
celebrating
businesses
and
volunteers
will
make
our
Main
Street
programs
so
strong
but
proud.
What
we're
doing
in
today
is
also
the
bring
attention
to
the
neighborhoods.
Many
of
the
businesses
that
are
in
on
the
Main
streets
and
the
city
of
Boston
are
family-owned
businesses,
people
who
put
their
all
of
their
life
savings
oftentimes
into
the
restaurant,
and
it's
important
for
us
that
we
support
these
businesses
and
I
said
yesterday.
C
You
know
before
you
go
on
Amazon
and
try
and
buy
something
the
others
are.
You
go
to
a
mall,
always
take
a
look
at
the
local
and
see
what's
available
in
the
local
areas,
because
we
can
buy
everything
you
would
possibly
want
in
the
local
districts,
and
this
really
isn't
what
not
just
a
Christmastime.
That's
not
the
entire
year
to
support
a
local
businesses.
So,
let's
not
forget
our
local
businesses.
Every
day
you
talk
about
Little
Dipper,
it's
an
outer
space,
themed,
restaurant,
the
salivates
of
American
cuisine.
C
It
host
told
having
events
and
encourage
kids
to
pursue
math
science,
physics
and
astronomy,
and,
as
you
we
talked
about
a
lot
in
the
summertime.
We
have
these
programs
that
have
is
called
fifth
quarter,
which
means
that
we
teach
our
kids
all
year
long.
But
it's
also
important
for
us
as
businesses
to
understand
the
importance
of
teaching
our
kids
as
well
in
this
restaurant
not
only
helps
the
community
of
JPS
industry
itself
main,
but
also
helping
educate
our
young
people
so
come
on
up
and
congratulations.
F
B
C
Food
smells
really
good,
so
many
very
fast
volunteers,
I
mentioned
earlier
volunteers,
a
vital
for
community
Melvin
has
been
active,
volunteer
JP
for
over
ten
years.
You
birdies
that
your
treasurer,
which
is
a
very
vital
role
for
Main
streets,
because
Treasury
allows
you
to
opportunity.
What
can
you
invest
in?
What
can
you
do?
How
do
you
move
forward
having
the
money
and
understanding
about
how
to
use
that
money
very
quickly
is
really
important.
C
Now,
there's
been
a
volunteer
for
the
JB
business
and
professional
association,
the
Elliott
School
of
Fine
and
applied
Arts,
the
Emerald
Necklace
Conservancy.
Thank
you
very
much
for
the
author.
Most
has
shown.
Great
leadership
will
work
up
there
to
other
years
and
when
you
think
about
Main
Street's
been
in
existence
for
25
almost
24
25
years,
Melvin's
Korea
has
always
been
half
of
that
working
his
Main
Street.
So
congratulations.
H
H
H
Giant
high
involvement
is
within
the
rod
mill
event,
especially
the
Holiday
Market,
on
First
Street.
We
also
love
her
fabulous
storefront,
which
adds
to
the
character
of
our
commercial
district.
She
has
fabulous
marketing
skills
and
holds
unique
events
like
pajama
and
cocktail
parties,
book
readings
and
JP,
hunk
performances,
her
unique
stores,
absolutely
a
destination
for
all
gift,
givers
and
the
curious
minded.
We
are
grateful
to
Joanne
for
the
last
19
years
of
serving
the
rowdy
community
with
her
creativity
and
especially
her
wisdom.
H
T-Shirts
at
the
farmers
market
also,
the
co-chair
of
our
marketing
committee,
which
makes
them
minion,
has
given
an
enormous
amount
of
time
to
our
VMs
on
a
visionary
project
for
all
of
2018,
actually
Joey
and
Ross
Smith
started
and
one
of
these
projects.
It
was
a
year-long
video
series
that
highlighted
many
of
our
local
businesses.
He
committed
to
coordinate
and
business
owner
interviews
between
staff
and
board
members
setting
up
filming,
editing,
publishing
a
set
of
themed
videos
each
month
for
all
of
2018.
H
C
When
mainsheet
stress
came
to
Boston,
I
was
a
state
representative.
Back
then
I
just
got
elected
actually
came
before
they
yeah
before
I
became
elected
official,
wasn't
on
Main
Street
he's
one
of
the
first
that
just
took
off
community
came
together.
Businesses
came
in
their
restaurants,
came
in.
There
was
an
amazing
growth
and
it
kind
of
became
in
a
lot
of
ways.
I
think
the
main
streets
that
a
lot
of
other
programs
want
to
emulate.
C
In
still
today,
when
you
think
about
Main
streets,
when
it
when
it
I,
guess
you
can
say
it
Pete
what
comes
next.
What
comes
next
is
creativity
and
involvement
and
in
trying
to
fill
obeying
the
buildings,
what
came
next
was
redoing
the
square
or
the
comment
or
whatever
was
in
their
village,
whatever
you
want
to
call
it.
Where
do
you
come
from?
Are
you
doing
that?
Maybe
getting
an
investment
in
the
library
that's
going
to
start
this
year.
C
You
think
about
all
of
that
and
if
the
main
streets
hadn't
started
20
plus
years
ago,
you're
driving
to
a
very
different
Rosendale,
but
every
different
Washington
Street,
the
bike
lane
that
bus
lane
I
should
say
they
came
off
that
Washington.
All
of
those
things
strike
a
community
was
that
was
seeing
that
here
in
a
gozar
square,
I
was
seeing
that
in
on
South
Street
we're
seeing
that
in
a
lot
of
our
Main
streets
throughout
the
city
of
Boston,
it's
becoming
the
engine,
that's
forcing
states
and
cities
and
investments
in
the
neighborhoods.
C
The
business
da
was
already
mentioned:
Joanne
Rossman,
purveyor
of
the
unnecessary
and
the
irresistible,
a
fun
and
quirky
gift
shop
that
has
been
open
for
19
years,
I've
been
in
it,
myself
supports
Rossdale
village
main
streets
by
participating
in
community
events
like
the
annual
Holiday
Market
hosts
the
fun
events
like
cocktail
parties,
but
not
just
that
its
address
the
nation.
When
people
go
to
look
at
go
to
the
store,
you
want
to
become
a
destination,
it's
not
simply.
C
G
B
C
That
the
volunteer
of
the
Year
award,
this
guy
is
really
excited
because
he
came
to
Main
Street
yesterday
to
prep
on
the
acceptance
of
this
award.
He
was
he
got
pictures
who's
in
in
pictures
and
he
accepted
award
that
wasn't
his
and
he's
very
excited.
He
is
a
pretty
awesome
shirt
on
today,
but
minifig
is
incredible
volunteer
which
gives
time
to
videos
the
video
project
highlighting
the
Rossdale
village
community,
something
that's
important
to
really
capture
what
you
have
in
the
community
sets
out
films.
C
Edit,
publish
this
video
series
every
month
of
2018,
the
final
product
showcase,
the
dynamic
neighborhood,
with
a
shine,
a
light
of
local
businesses
and
really
to
have
people
like
Benny
showcasing
rosin.
The
island
was
celebrating
his
showcasing.
Rossiter
said
that
what
he's
really
doing
is
showcasing
Boston
in
the
diversity
and
uniqueness
of
all
our
neighborhood
I
want
to
thank
you
for
that
venue
come
on
up
any
those.
I
C
Right
before
everyone
finishes,
roasting
I
have
one
more
announcement.
Main
street's
has
national
conventions,
they're
gonna
be
in
decision
next
year.
They're
really
excited
about
born
at
Dallas
next
yeah,
and
we
had
some
conversation,
some
directors
and
said
why
not
Boston
so
I'm,
proud
to
announce
that
the
National
Main
Street
organizations
chosen
Boston
as
location
for
the
2021
national
contest.
J
J
It
is
so
wonderful
to
see
each
and
every
one
of
you
here
today
in
our
wonderful
community
to
recognize
those
folks
who
make
our
community
so
vibrant
and
I'm
going
to
keep
my
remarks
very
brief,
because
the
members
a
lot
of
people
around
me
who
click
ignore
me.
So
what
I
want
to
say
is.
Thank
you
so
much
for
being
here.
Thank
you
so
much
for
recognizing
our
first
business
up
here
here
at
Samy
Carlos.
Can
we
get
a
hand
for
that.
J
Other
than
save
them
so
keep
it
very
brief
in
saying
that
Cathy
and
Steve,
or
a
tremendous
pressure
community,
they
contribute
in
so
many
ways
not
just
in
running
this
business.
That's
been
here
for
three
generations
in
our
community
really
providing
an
anchor
bragging
point
for
so
many
folks
to
come
through,
have
a
wonderful
meal
and
just
enjoy
what
it
is
to
be
here
in
East
Boston,
but
also
in
so
many
ways
that
our
unspoken
they're
giving
back
you're
supporting
things
like
our
countdown
to
kindergarten
program,
and
so
many
others.
J
And
to
our
bones
here
of
the
air
Hannah,
how
are
you
like
Madonna,
he
goes
by
one
name
is
great
that
what
they've
been
able
to
do
with
eesti
farms-
just
you
know,
starting
and
talking
about
and
showing
people
the
value
of
urban
gardening
urban
farming
here
in
our
community.
How
a
place
like
this
next
to
an
airport
next
to
a
working
Harbor
with
so
much
asphalt
appreciate,
can
still
provide
wonderful,
nutritious
food,
rich
nourishing
food
and
life
is
really
something
that
lesson
that
we
can
all
take.
J
The
heart
and
I
know
that
he
contributes
not
just
to
the
folks
here
in
the
community,
but
folks
who
are
visitors
and
I
by
the
way
he
makes
one
killer
soup
a
little
bit
hot,
but
a
killer
shoot
I'm,
have
it
next
year
at
Taste
to
be
spawned,
and
we
hope
to
see
you
all
there.
So
much
again,
thank
you.
Our
volunteer
here.
J
And
now
it
is
my
distinct
pleasure
to
turn
this
over
to
our
tremendous
mayor.
I
know
as
a
longtime
board
member
here
a
few
spots
on
Main
streets.
When
mayor
Walsh
was
elected.
There
was
a
lot
of
conversation
about
what
was
going
to
happen.
You
know
the
previous
administration
we've
been
ardent
supporters
of
the
main
streets
moving
across
the
city
and
I
am
just
so
happy
that
we
still
have
such
a
strong
champion
such
a
strong
advocate,
such
as
from
supporter
in
the
mayor's
office.
J
C
C
C
We
give
out
a
volunteer
of
the
Year
award,
but
we
also
do
it
to
celebrate
and
to
encourage
people
to
use
local
businesses,
because
local
businesses
are
such
a
big
part
of
our
community
they're,
a
big
part
of
our
neighborhood
everywhere
you
go
when
you
see
a
thriving
business
district,
you
see
a
thriving
community
and
that's
because
of
the
volunteers.
That's
because
the
Main
Street
does
because
of
the
community.
So
I
want
to
thank
everyone
here
and
make
sure
that
you
shop
locally.
C
If
you're
gonna
do
something
on
Amazon
or
if
you're
going
to
go,
eBay
you're
gonna
go
to
the
mall
before
you
do
that,
if
your
business
has
that
shop,
we
asked
you
to
give
your
business
the
opportunity,
because
the
folks
that
have
these
stores
in
these
restaurants
most
times
they're
family-owned
most
times
they
put
that
life
savings,
and
then
they
employ
people.
They
support
the
community
they
give
back
to
the
community.
C
C
Cut
us,
you
know
our
City
Council
in
the
edwards
is
with
us.
Today,
Liddy
is
going
to
come
after,
like
a
vintage
official.
We
have
the
police,
commissioner,
that
was
inside
can
be
shown
in
garage,
I.
Think
he's
at
the
table.
A
lot,
don't
tell
him
I
say
thank
you,
be
something
using
that
we
have
a
fine
Commission,
Joe
Flynn
will
ran
about
35
miles
today.
Thank
you,
Joe.
C
From
Main
streets
in
different
places,
John
Barlow,
chief
economic
development
area
and
then
I'll
get
some
olives
who's
everyone
in
a
little
bit.
The
first
recognition
we're
doing
is
business
the
Sammy,
Sammy
Carlos
delicatessen,
a
catering
right
behind
me.
It
proudly
reopened
and
Sammy
Carlos
a
day
and
named
through
that
name
business
a
year.
If
you
haven't
been
inside,
you
haven't
eaten
something.
C
All
you
have
to
do
is
see
why
the
business,
the
air
I
know
a
lot
of
people
are
talking
about
them,
Assad
and
the
beautiful
way
it
looks
just
go
inside
and
try
the
product.
It's
absolutely
amazing.
It's
an
old-school
dolly
when
you
walked
in
I,
said
it's
an
old
school
like
we
used
to
have
a
neighborhood
years
ago.
It's
an
amazing
place,
amazing
food.
This
is
Sammy's
third-generation
family,
at
least
II.
The
owners
of
Steve
and
Cathy
they've
been
active
members
in
the
community.
C
K
Actually
that
day,
because
it
was
such
an
important
thing
to
recognize,
you
know
the
soul
of
a
community
is
the
local
businesses,
so
the
ones
who
come
out
for
the
Little
League
they're,
the
ones
who
give
that
first
job.
That
person
who
needs
a
chance.
You
know
wait.
Your
family
grows
to
the
rest
of
the
community,
grows,
you're
an
institution,
not
just
a
local
business
and
to
see
you
grow
and
continue
to
move
as
he's
boss
and
moves
means
that
we're
healthy
as
a
community.
K
C
And
now,
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
what
what
really
is
important
the
executive
director,
obviously
is
the
leader
of
Main
Street.
The
Board
of
Directors
is
is
the
organization
that
gives
it
the
backbone
in
the
volunteers
of
an
organization?
Are
the
ones
that
do
all
the
work
and
I
mean
by
that
is
that
volunteers
are
vital
to
any
any
support,
particularly
for
Main
Street,
simple
forward,
and,
and
today
we
have
Kenan,
who
is
no
stranger
to
that
met
him
to
I.
C
Think
five
years
or
six
years
ago,
when
I
first
became
when
I
was
running
for
mayor
actually
I
think
when
I
met
him
he's
a
manager,
eesti
farms,
DC's
urban
community
farm
activists
on
issues
such
as
social
justice,
economic
quality
time
resilience
all
important
issues,
especially
you
think
oh
he's
Boston
and
all
those
issues,
an
active
member
of
the
community
always
participating
in
community
meetings
and
I
want
to
congratulate
you
really
go.
Somebody
want
to
congratulate
you
on
all
you
do.
This
is
a
man
that
doesn't
just
will
talk
the
talk.
K
So
I
just
again
want
to
thank
you
so
much
for
all
that
you've
done
Freese,
positive
and
on
I
think
you
demonstrate
many
newcomers
not
only
come
in,
but
become
intimately
integral
parts
of
the
community.
The
east,
these
the
garden,
are
what
we
do
there
as
a
community
how
we
plan
together,
we
grow
together.
K
We
eat
together
because
of
that
I
think
it
should
be
understated
that
you've
added
to
our
community
in
so
many
ways
informing
us,
educating
us
but
also
inspiring
us
to
what
we
can
honestly
what
we
can
do
best
for
our
future
generations.
So
your
work
is
going
to
speak
for
many
many
years
after
and
after
you're
gone,
we're
all
gone,
I
think
at
the
end
of
the
day,
you're
helping
to
make
East
Boston
one
of
the
best
communities
in
Boston.
So
thank
you
so
much.
K
All
of
our
community
group
sweets
when
they
need
these
does
serve
on
our
Community
Preservation
Act
committee
and
helping
to
make
sure
that
you
could
see
a
shout
out.
Diversity,
father,
but
also
that's
an
important
thing
and
he
provides
a
wonderful
voice
for
not
only
East
Boston
but
for
a
lot
of
folks
are
excited
about
open
space.
So,
thank
you
so
much.
E
M
Now
I
understand
why
you
guys
did
that
mapping
on
purpose.
So
we
know
at
the
lowest
end
of
the
neighborhood
will
go
to
the
highest
end
of
the
neighborhood.
But
thank
you
I've
only
been
here
a
couple
of
times
and
usually
to
Logan
Airport,
but
this
is
a
beautiful
neighborhood,
beautiful
business
and
we're
honored
to
be
here.
We're
honored
to
be
here
to
nominate
me
to
give
an
award
to
our
business
of
the
year.
His
name
is
Chris
rockiest
and
he
is
the
owner
of
the
Fairmount
grill.
M
C
Some
things
that
there's
two
labels
in
the
city
of
Boston
that
very
similar
and
believe
it
or
not,
not
to
visit
standing
head,
but
East
Boston
high
product.
When
you
go
to
those
two
neighborhoods:
three
family
homes,
old
school
families,
longtime
families,
the
some
turnover
happening
in
the
neighborhoods
a
lot
of
times
that
people
felt
that
businesses
weren't
coming
people
weren't
paying
attention
in.
C
In
the
city
of
Boston,
so
it
is
appropriate
that
today
you
have
hypotenuse
boston
together
as
far
as
the
main
streets,
because
both
of
these
main
streets
have
done
an
amazing
job
in
the
community
and
building
up
their
own
identity
at
the
City
of
Austin
and
The
Fairmont
Grill
is
one
of
those
restaurants.
It's
just
a
place
that
people
go
to
much
like
what
this
is.
This
delicate
is
gonna,
be
I,
said
Tommy
was
down
the
street.
It's
the
same
thing.
C
If
you
want
to
find
something
for
the
neighborhood,
you
know,
and
then
this
political
season
they're
in
there
when
there's
water
trade,
the
meetings
that
all
of
the
different
things
that
happen,
the
community
happen
around
the
grill
and
I
want
to
congratulate
the
family
girl
forget
for
being
recognized
today.
Congratulations.
C
M
M
So
manny
has
been
with
us
from
from
day
one
moving
into
Hyde
Park,
just
last
year
being
involved
with
our
annual
fundraiser
planting
flowers
in
the
square
wreath
distribution
to
our
businesses
she's
been
especially
helpful
with
our
spanish-speaking
business
owners
serving
as
a
translator
and
soar
like
a
consultant
when
we
are
having
trouble
understanding
each
other
she's
always
there
for
us
and
she's
been
just
a
wonderful
person.
She
feels
like
a
family
member
and
she
is
also
a
board
member.
So.
C
C
And
before
we
and
one
other
quick
announcement
is
up
in
2021,
Boston
has
been
chosen
to
host
the
National
Main
Street
organization,
water,
Directors
meeting
here
in
Boston
city
of
Boston,
so
excited
about
it.
We're
gonna
be
able
to
showcase
our
main
streets
all
over
the
city
of
Boston.
So
I
want
to
thank
Main
Street
thanks.
Everyone
for
being
here
today.
Shop
locally,
enjoy
I,
want
to
give
a
shout
out
to
the
Silesian
boys
and
girls,
not
Thank
You
SH,
Legion
boys
and
girls.
I
Hi
everyone
we're
going
to
get
started,
I
just
wanted
to
say.
G
I
I
I've
been
a
president
of
leading
circle
for
the
last
three
years
and
when
I
started
last
Monday,
it
came
no
surprise
to
see
the
multi-generational
community
heroes
that
were
recognizing.
Today
we
have
John
Jay
Ryan
Insurance,
a
family-owned
business.
That's
been
around
since
the
1920s,
as
well
as
Andrea
Andrea.
Here,
who
has
been
a
BC
student
in
Brighton
resident
for
the
last
eight
years,
really
great
examples
of
really
people,
new
and
old,
who
have
just
come
to
come
to
make
an
impact
in
the
neighborhood.
So.
I
C
You
very
much
and
congratulations
and
thank
you
for
having
us
today
for
bright,
Main
Street.
Thank
you
to
the
Board
of
Directors
that
are
here.
Thank
you
very
much
as
well.
This
is
our
third
day
of
our
trolley
tour
last
day
of
the
Charter
and
the
reason
why
we
do
this
is
we
go
around
the
city
of
Boston
and
we
celebrate
businesses
and
volunteers
in
different
Main
streets
to
acknowledge
what
they've
done.
The
contributions
that
made,
and
most
of
you
already
knows,
but
Main
streets
is
so
important
to
our
communities.
C
C
As
they
said
earlier
today
when
you're
shopping,
I
know
a
lot
of
people
like
to
go
online
and
shop
at
Amazon
and
all
the
other
websites
and
maybe
go
to
the
mall
once
in
a
while,
but
also
don't
forget,
your
local
businesses
make
sure
you've
given
up
the
Tuni
local
businesses.
Should
do
some
buying
not
just
a
Christmas
sign
but
throw
up
the
closely
I
just
want
to
cross-train
bought
a
pair
of
clippers.
C
My
TV
was
my
TVs
from
the
neighborhood
I
bought
it
two
boys
down
here
when
I
got
new
TV
I
bought
my
new
house
and
given
that
opportunity
for
local
business
is
so
important,
because
the
business
is
a
family,
most
of
a
family
owned,
a
family
run
and
they
put
their
whole
career
whole
life
savings
into
it
and
they
employ
people
to
get
back
to
the
neighborhood.
They
do
all
that
stuff.
So
I'm
asking
you
as
we
think
about
all
this
make
sure
we
get
back
to
the
community
I
already
mentioned.
C
I
want
to
thank
state
representative,
Kevin
Honan
for
his
leadership
and
what
he
doesn't
say.
A
new
captain,
captain
Greely
who's
here
at
the
district
and
whether
he's
going
to
be
a
great
neighborhood
guys
be
a
great
captain.
Here.
I
want
to
thank
Commissioner
glass
from
the
Boston
Police
Department.
C
Commissioner
Finney
from
the
Boston
Fire
Department
date.
Information
affair
was
with
us
yeah
Chief,
John
bardos
from
economic
development
list.
Is
she
Joe
somewhere?
Thank
you,
John,
yeah
and
I'll
plug
in
some
more
names
in
a
minute
business.
The
Year
John
Jay
Ryan
insurance
company
when
I
hold
up
my
last
all
the
younger
people
in
the
room
on
the
in
the.
C
You
walk
inside
and
and
people
walk
you
through
the
system
and
it's
so
important
when
I
was
growing
up.
They
still.
My
insurance
companies
gave
the
insurance
a
toaster,
and
my
house
is
John
Gallagher,
an
insurance
company
giving
giving
company
these
are
the
places
these
businesses
are
the
businesses
that
been
in
this
one
abroad.
C
C
E
Hi
I'm
Scott
Madeline
I'm,
the
president
of
Austin
Village,
Main
Street,
so
I
like
everybody
for
coming
out
today,
the
mayor,
the
commissioners
Kevin
Honan,
all
our
board
members
I
want
to
especially
thank
all
the
people
from
Boston
Maine
States
will
work
with
us.
This
was
a
great
job.
I've
been
on
the
board
for
about
14
years
and
I'll.
Tell
you.
It
is
one
of
the
great
joys
of
my
life
working
in
the
name
of
helping
level
conversions,
helping
improve
the
neighborhood
I
live
in.
E
C
In
the
board
for
the
great
work
they
do,
you
know
in
my
time
is
serving
this
roles.
Man
I've
had
the
chance
to
get
to
meet
Scott
and
see
the
great
work
they
do
with
the
pop-up
space.
A
couple
years
ago
we
recognized
a
public
space
and
the
different
things
that
also
in
village
Main
Street
is
done
and
I
want
to.
Thank
you
for
that.
C
They
kind
of
made
me
think
about.
Often
those
Main
streets
is
part
of
a
bigger
organization
and
that
big
organization
is
Boston
main
streets
in
Boston
main
streets
is
part
of
a
bigger
organization.
As
a
national
Main
Street
organization
in
the
2021,
the
national
organizations
of
Main
streets
are
going
to
host
the
annual
convention
here
in
the
city
of.
C
So
excited
down
here,
so
that's
something
that
that's
not
really
important.
Awesome
bill
is
made
sure
his
business
of
the
year.
Our
kid
associates
that
had
a
family
business,
that's
owned,
a
man
and
several
businesses
in
Austin.
Our
kid
family
has
been
in
Austin
for
111
years,
they've
been
big
supporters
of
the
Austin
Village
Main
streets,
and
if
you
get
the
theme
here
in
Austin
in
Brighton,
it's
usually
generational
and
usually
has
three
numbers
next
to
it.
So
it's
not
it's
not
a
fly-by-night
idea
or
operation.
C
And
the
volunteer
of
the
year,
the
coroner,
an
active
member
of
the
community
since
2013,
worked
at
local
businesses
volunteered
on
the
Main
Street
project,
particularly
the
Taste
of
Austin,
on
the
promotion
committee
for
taste
of
Austin
and
works
to
make
an
enjoyable
experience
for
everyone
and
again
these
events
that
you
have
that
we
have
in
these
main
streets.
If
you
don't
have
people
that
are
working
them
and
actually
going
out
and
doing
all
the
work
of
the
promotion,
people
don't
show
up.
H
C
L
I
want
to
thank
you
for
your
leadership
here,
encouraging
people
to
use
local
businesses
in
our
communities
I
want
to
thank
you,
a
leadership
team
for
all
being
here:
police
Commission
of
fire,
commissioner,
so
many
wonderful
people
so
today,
mayor
you're,
honoring
a
94
year
business
here
right
here,
Jack
Ryan
assistant,
Susan,
you're,
honoring,
the
arc
and
family,
these
folks
of
pillars
of
our
community.
All
the
wonderful
volunteers
who
make
Main
streets
program
thrive.
I
want
to
thank
these
two
families
who
are
being
honored
for
their
extraordinary
service
to
our
community.
In.
E
F
F
F
We
have
insurance
here,
they've
been
here
for
four
generations
at
state
and
do
business
in
Brighton
and
continue
to
do
business
in
Brighton
with
Brett,
whether
it's
right
almost
in
and
it
is
just
a
fantastic
community.
What
it
is
is
it's
a
small
town
in
a
big
city
and
that's
what
makes
Brighton
and
Holston
such
a
fantastic
everyone.
We
are
two
small
towns
in
a
big
city
and
you
can
only
get
to
the
big
city
by
a
little
narrow
stretch
of
land.
F
G
Hello,
hi
and
I
actually
do
tomorrow,
yeah
similar
lecture
just
for
this,
but
I
didn't
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
also
village
main
street
spots
and
main
streets.
All
of
the
partners
that
I've
had
and
colleagues
at
the
city
of
Boston
and
specifically
in
the
neighborhood
and
Macy's
programs,
are
incredibly
special
because
we're
part
of
the
process
of
resiliency
and
neighborhood
story
insurance,
we're
going
to
change,
and
its
programs
like
this.
G
That
can
help
honor
history
and
honor
narratives,
while
also
creating
an
accessible
platform
for
future
change
of
progression
and
having
been
able
to
be
a
part
of
that
narrative.
A
small
part
of
the
narrative
for
us,
a
village
main
streets
and
for
Austin
and
Austin
Brighton,
and
the
City
of
Austin
has
been
incredibly
special.
And
so
thank
you
to
all
of
you
who
have
been
have
supported
me
through
what
is
a
very
difficult
but
really
wonderful
job
and
for
being
great
mentors
and
for
helping
build
a
platform
for
my
next
chapter.
So
thank
you.
