A
A
C
Let
me
just
first
of
all
thank
everyone
for
coming
out
from
pata
P
and
from
deadly
it's
important
that
you
here
today,
I
want
to
thank
City,
Council,
Jim,
Jeanne
Moos
here
with
us,
the
Main
Street
program
and
all
that
we're
doing
in
the
city
I'm
going
around
this
annual
Main
Street
trolley
tour.
We
canceled
last
week
we're
gonna
go
to
some
parts
of
Georgia,
so
we
had
to
cancel
it
because
of
the
rain.
We
had
traditional
downpours,
and
today
we
have
a
grand
again.
C
It's
a
buoy,
alright,
just
before
I
get
into
the
business
of
the
year
over
the
weekend,
I
spent
actually
the
counselor
as
well.
We
were
in,
we
were
in
Roxbury
yesterday
for
the
unity
parade.
I
was
in
Mattapan
Saturday
for
four
tournaments
and
it
walks
and
different
things
like
that.
What
I
said
yesterday
was
in
the
day
before
was
about
talking
about
our
neighborhoods
in
a
positive
light.
C
It
seems
like
every
time
we
pick
up
the
paper
or
we
turn
on
the
news,
and
last
week
this
week
was
different,
that
the
press
coveted
no
I,
think
before
it
we're
always
talking
about
a
negative
life
and
what
we
said
yes,
there
was
was
Roxbury.
Will
we
eyes
literally
in
the
heart
of
the
city?
So
so
we
can
think
about
wherever
you
have
to
get
to.
You
have
to
go
through,
rocks
right
and
that's
important,
an
important
distinction
for
us
to
understand
that
we
should
be
proud
of.
C
If
you
live
in
a
mount,
a
pen.
If
you
want
to
go
to
the
suburbs,
you
literally
have
to
go
to
amount
of
pain,
and
it's
one
of
those
things
with
destination
spots.
The
reason
why
I
neighborhoods
are
so
great
is
because
the
businesses
and
the
people
living
there
and
today
we're
not
we're
not
celebrating.
C
We
are
celebrating
in
some
ways
the
the
individuals
the
volunteers
the
year,
but
we're
celebrating
businesses,
because
a
lot
of
the
business
were
going
to
their
homegrown
they're
people
that
put
their
blood,
sweat
and
tears
and
all
their
money
into
them.
They
create
these
incredible
spaces.
They're,
a
vital
part
of
our
community
they're,
a
vital
part
of
our
neighborhoods
when
you
think
about
we
had
a
little
conversation
a
little
while
ago
about
bringing
more
business
to
Dudley
when
you
think
of
this
book
strolling
today
this
is
homegrown.
This
is
a
homegrown
place.
C
The
black
market
down
streets
homegrown
these
these
are
places
that
people
put
put
their
life
and
blood,
sweat
and
tears
into,
and
it's
important
for
us
technology.
So
on
behalf
of
all
of
us
here
that
work
for
the
city
of
Boston,
there's
a
few
of
us
that
are
in
the
room
here
today.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
businesses
for
the
great
work
you
do.
C
The
director
for
her
great
work
I
want
to
give
a
shout
out
to
John
bardos
chief
economic
development,
the
city
of
Boston
John
Burroughs.
When
he
became
the
chief
economic
development.
We
took
small
business,
put
it
under
his
shop
and
really
looked
at
how?
How
do
we
change
and
how
do
we
make
sure
we
promote
Main
streets
and
our
businesses
more
than
we
have
had
in
the
past?
I
want
to
thank
John
for
his
great
work.
C
C
It's
enabled
a
bookstore
with
with
signings
and
three
different
book.
Clubs
brought
a
large
part
of
Boston,
the
boss
of
Book
Festival
to
Dudley,
with
special
events
like
signing
in
a
mini
comic
book
festival
and
what
I
mean
by
all
this
stuff?
Is
that
they're
an
organization
their
business?
That's
just
not
simply
that
opens
the
doors
in
the
morning
close
them.
C
At
night,
they're
active
in
the
community
they're
out
there
they've
taken
part
that
bringing
cultural
activities
this
community
to
bring
a
different
arts
community,
giving
people
opportunities
to
experience
different
things,
giving
any
young
people
opportunities
to
experience
different
things
and
your
newest
neighbor
is
standing
right
behind
you,
the
new
superintend,
the
scholars
school
so
I
know.
Should
we
get
Brenda
cassellius
is
here
too?
She
literally
works
next
door.
C
Works
works
for
the
redesign
of
the
other
square
vanity
Carol
who's,
gonna,
I'm
gonna
bring
up
in
a
minute
work
with
the
brochures
that
you
have
today.
Then
I
have
today
work
with
the
main
streets
in
the
Roxbury
cultural
district.
To
finish
the
project
around
ugly
and
when
you
think
about
Main
streets
program,
it
is
the
directors
important
aspect,
the
board's,
an
important
aspect,
the
business
owners
point
aspect,
but
it's
the
volunteers.
C
C
Real
quickly,
a
couple
a
couple
of
months
ago,
I
was
at
an
event
Main
Street
event
and
the
folks
on
Main
Street
from
Boston
Main
streets
that
were
really
interested
in
bringing
the
National
Conference
of
Main
streets
of
Boston
I
said
we're
all
about
that,
and
we've
gone
on
top
of
it.
Our
office
of
business
development,
which
is
in
John,
Chuck
Kember
set
and
some
other
folks
got
involved
in
it,
and
we
went
out.
We
thought
on
the
presentation
and
in
2021
we're
going
to
host
the
National
Conference
of
national
Main
Street
organizations
in
companies.
D
D
C
C
C
The
business
of
the
year
Carolyn
CSO
on
the
his
salon
has
been
serving
Mattapan,
for
which
one
Marion
Sweatt
use
me
for
over
25
years.
Carol
moody
is
the
owner.
She's,
been
episode
on
owner
for
over
12
and
has
spent
her
time
prioritizing
our
community
in
its
quality.
It
began
collaborating
with
Main
streets
for
years
ago
and
has
since
supported
every
event
and
issues
there.
So
it
shows
you
a
business
that
that
been
in
business
for
25
years,
a
new
owner
comes
in
12
years
ago.
C
It
is
I,
said
earlier,
the
lifeblood
of
our
communities,
our
volunteers
and
there's
no
different
here
in
Mattapan
Oh,
a
meta
Bienvenue,
Stephen
King
supports
all
the
events
initiative
sponsored
my
Main
Street.
He
was
like
anything
that
he's
asked
the
duties.
Does
he,
whether
it's
manual
labor
transportation,
getting
people
to
events
or
administrative
tract
tasks?
He
believes
in
the
power
of
community
volunteering
to
make
the
community
better
and
we
just
started
and
Steven
I
didn't
realize
this
was
throwing
each
other
for
probably
20
years,
because
it
was
also
it
was.
C
C
C
A
B
C
E
E
F
G
Welcome
bienvenido
todos
welcome
to
hi
Jackson
Square
Main
Street
in
hi
square,
we're
so
happy
to
be
celebrating
here
we
have
been
in
the
neighborhood
in
two
years.
This
is
one
of
our
favorite
events
in
the
basis
of
love.
That's
so
our
job
is
to
create
a
safe,
welcoming
and
visually
vibrant
and
economically
silent
assistant
here,
Jackson
squares
around
for
20
years,
or
one
of
20
Main
Street
programs
across
the
country
about
thirteen
hundred
twenty
meters
cut
20
Main
streets
across
the
city
in
1300
across
the
country.
G
But
I'd
say
a
couple
things
about
our
volunteer
of
the
year:
rich
parents,
whose
tonight
right
breech
has
a
passion
for
purifications,
were
plans
for
a
bacon,
streetscape
really
alive
and
colorful.
We
sent
a
lot
of
great
work
with
us
over
the
last
four
years
to
help
support
where
we're
going
interviewing
the
worker
worker
person,
who
does
that
stuff.
G
So
thanks
for
going
out
also
in
front
of
Brendan,
be
you
hub,
which
is
a
institution
in
the
neighborhood
it's
been
around
since
the
late
70s
I
believe
it's
had
a
couple
of
business
owners
and
the
current
one
is
a
fantastic.
It
happens
to
be
out
over
the
country
right
now,
but
it's
such
an
important
business
to
be
in
our
neighborhood.
It
brings
a
lot
of
foot
traffic
here.
People
come
here,
go
to
restaurants
around
the
neighborhood
and
the
business
owners
and
the
folks
here
really
how
I
like
to
introduce
the
mayor.
C
In
the
city,
we
started
this
trolley
about
three
years
ago
to
bring
green
Main
streets
out
to
the
community
used
to
be
at
the
Strand
theater,
and
what
happened
was
a
lot
of
the
groups
of
common
people
would
come,
but
we
really
get
a
chance
to
kind
of
promote
the
neighborhood
and
what
happens
today.
Is
people
drive
by
the
link
what's
going
on
over
there
and
we
talk
about
our
neighborhood
businesses
and
there's
the
need
to
support
our
neighborhood
businesses.
C
We're
asking
you
all
here
today
to
support
high
Square
Main
streets,
those
from
that
you
go
back
home.
You
know
that
so
forth,
back
home
ancient
as
well,
and
so
I
want
to
thank
you.
I
want
to
thank
you
like
that.
Officials
is
also
one
of
the
events
that
every
single
time
we
do
this
in
the
districts
that
the
local
elected
show
up
from
the
city
mostly
and
then
also
we
have
citywide
consultative
as
we
know
the
importance
of
small
businesses.
So
I
want
to
thank
city,
councilor,
nice,
rossabi,
George,.
C
Yeah
I
want
to
thank
all
the
Main
Street.
Someone
thinks
Steve
in
particular
foot
for
the
coordinator,
Main
Street,
so
the
great
work
you
do.
Thank
you
for
everything
you
do
for
a
long
time
before
I
was
the
mayor
and
since
then,
so
thank
you
and
the
whole
team
there.
You
know
Gerald's
and
I
met
Gerald
a
bunch
of
times,
but
we
had
a
substantive
conversation
last
year.
I
think
it
was
in
the
afternoon.
We
were
a
little
bit
on
the
street
here
with
the
commands.
C
Confi
aren't
and
he
said
to
me
at
the
time
he
said
you
know
would
be
nice
if
the
city
could
support
the
idea
of
bringing
the
national
mainstream
conference
to
the
City
of
Boston
and
like
well.
Let's
do
it
if
we
can
and
I
went
back
to
my
office
and
I
grabbed
Kember
set
and
runs
a
special
ops
office
and
along
with
John,
Burroughs
and
Italian,
all
the
folks
I
said
why
don't
we
try
and
vote
for?
C
All
people
and
that's
what
we
hit
today
for
us
highlight
volunteers
and
businesses
and
I'm
going
to
start
with
businesses,
because
it's
so
key
as
you
think
about
our
communities
and
our
Main
streets.
What's
the
what's,
the
bread
and
butter
of
a
lot
of
different
neighborhoods
is
is
on
Main
streets
and
I
can
hone
it.
Let's
say
a
quick
story
back
in
1993
was
a
mayor's
race
and
Jim
Brett
was
running
in
the
final
against
Tom,
Menino
and
I
was
with
Jim
Brett.
C
That's
here
today,
and
that's
due
to
the
businesses
that
have
invested
in
here
I
want
to
congratulate
you,
because
you
can
see
you
can
see
really
see
that
businesses
can
change
the
community
working
with
the
neighborhood
working
with
the
civic
associations,
and
that
happened
in
this
neighborhood.
So
I
want
to
congratulate
high
square
of
Main
streets
and
I
want
to
thank
Brendan,
mean
and
talk
a
local
pub
operating
under
this
right
now,
under
this
order,
since
1988
it
has
raced
out
delicious
food,
so
that
means
beating
all
the
Sabbath.
C
C
And
they
said
earlier,
we
made
you
soft
earlier.
The
hot
and
soul
of
the
community
is
the
volunteers,
the
hunting
soul
of
any
organizations,
the
volunteers.
No
disrespect
meant
sand
myself
for
the
directors
of
mainstream,
saw
the
beaver
the
board,
it's
the
ball
and
the
bullets
volunteers.
It's
the
volunteers,
volunteers,
the
ones
who
do
the
flying
and
notify
people
do
the
shopping,
talk
to
people
and
there's
a
great
volunteer
of
the
year
here,
Richie
parrots,
who
is
served
on
a
Main
Street
design
community
for
four
years.
C
He
makes
everything
they
can
to
make
sure
the
community
goofily
they
plant
a
new
crater
in
literally
getting
his
hands
dirty
he's
an
organizer
of
a
whole
bunch
of
different
things,
mostly
paid
that
ie,
the
Moscow
paid
a
planting
initiative
and
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
being
such
an
integral
vital
part
of
a
great
neighborhood
and
particularly
great
Main
streets.
I
Thrilled
to
see
so
many
of
our
people
here
from
Mission
Hill,
we
always
wear
everywhere.
So
we
turnout
from
all
the
different
events
and
a
really
unhappy
teacher
that
we're
honoring
our
volunteer
of
the
year
Massey
mark
and
I.
Think
a
lot
of
people
read
news
articles
and
the
mission
work
is
that
and
our
business
of
the
year
is
no
P
I,
believe
that
they're
over
here
they
have
arrived.
So
we
get
to
see
everybody
in
just
a
few.
C
Businesses
up
in
Mission
Hill
and
a
lot
of
us
la
mission,
Delino
myself
and
Michael
clarity
have
had
a
dear
friend
in
Mission,
Hill,
Michael's,
dad
sure,
with
this
guy,
his
nephew
Samantha
Charleston
Fitzgerald
every
time,
I
think
emotionally
they
become
a
fits
because
I,
you
know,
I
took
my
stole
Nancy
to
meet
solution.
Ellie
talked
about
the
community.
C
We
talked
about
the
neighbor
when
he
talked
about
you
know,
bringing
pride
back
to
the
community
talked
about
it
when
he
was
a
kid
and
as
it
transitioned
and
I
think
if
he
was
here
with
us
today.
Physically,
you
see
whether
spiritually
he'd
certainly
love
to
see
what's
happening
in
Mission
Hill
and
the
great
things
happening,
Mission
Hill.
So
again
to
all
of
you.
We
should
Hill.
Thank
you
for
being
here.
First.
C
First,
recognition
goes
to
business.
The
milkweed
cafe,
it's
amazing
I
can
tell
you
firsthand
I've
been
in
their
family
friendly,
eatery
corporative
dishes,
erotic
breakfast
recipes
to
create
a
one-of-a-kind
experience.
The
food
is,
is
not
you're
not
going
and
then
and
going
to
get
regular
food.
You
are
going
to
bring
a
little
bit
different
that
very
own
food.
It's
amazing
so.
C
From
a
kid
or
late,
we've
got
like
a
tunnel.
The
owners,
a
Holly
David
event,
always
quick
to
help.
This
owners
in
support
neighborhood
causes
that
that
that
restaurant
is
at
the
heart
of
a
lot
of
things
going
on
in
Mission,
Hills
important
aspect
of
it.
It's
important
a
recipient
of
the
golden
room
award
as
Mission
Hills
clean
this
business,
which
is
incredible,
but
also
another
investment
made
by
people
that
put
their
life
savings
into
a
place
that
to
be
successful
in
convective
community,
so
come
on
up
and
they'll,
be.
C
All
right,
the
next
award
volunteer
the
what
a
lifelong
resident
of
Mission
Hill
has
written
a
column
and
the
mission
of
Gazette
since
1979
always
proud
of
her
community
of
students.
Community
partner
knowledge
about
the
community
can
be
found
working
at
the
numeral
baptist
hospital,
keeping
friends
and
helping
need
and
again,
as
I
said
earlier,
the
volunteers
are
truly
the
people
that
is
so
important
to
this
effort,
because
sometimes
businesses
come
and
go.
The
volunteers.
H
F
J
Right,
thank
you
for
being
here
this
afternoon
on
behalf
of
all
of
us
at
Washington
gateway,
Main
streets.
We
are
very
honored
to
have
all
of
you
here
and
also
share
the
opportunity
for
this
award
with
our
colleagues
from
Chinatown
as
well.
Thank
you
for
joining
all
of
us
in
this
great
opportunity
to
recognize
people
and
businesses
for
their
excellence
and
their
contributions.
J
Our
first
recipient
is
boomerangs
and
we're
standing
or
you're
standing
in
front
of
it
and
mic
to
my
back.
This
is
about
standing,
an
institution
that
is
a
series
of
theft
stores
that
are
designed
to
collect
money
and
support
the
AIDS
Action
Committee
in
their
work
through
HIV
prevention
and
supports
people
who
have
HIV
Boomerang
features
a
variety
of
high
quality
products
which
are
in
donated
by
both
we
in
the
neighborhood
outside
the
neighborhood,
as
well
as
corporations
and
retail
outlets.
J
The
South
End
store
in
particular.
It
has
become
an
integral
part
of
our
community
here
and
serves
as
a
gathering
place
as
well.
It's
many
times
we'll
meet
our
neighbors
friends.
Business
associates
the
politicians
in
here
shopping
together,
and
there
is
such
a
wonderful
atmosphere
because,
when
you're
enter
the
store,
you're
immediately,
greeted
as
if
you're,
family
and
you're
always
on
exit,
welcome
to
come
return
again
and
to
make
sure
that
you
found
what
you
needed
to
have.
J
I
know
that,
along
with
myself
and
my
husband
were
usually
here
at
least
twice
a
week
where
we
have
purchased
many
things
for
friends,
family
presence
both
here
and
in
Puerto
Rico,
where
my
in-laws
live
so
I'm,
very
familiar
with
the
staff
here
and
the
wonderful
work
that
you
so
at.
In
conclusion,
for
this
part
of
the
segment,
we
are
very
proud
to
have
them
in
our
community
and,
as
we
say
in
my
mother's
family,
who
comes
from
Poland
stolid,
which
means,
may
you
be
here
for
another
hundred
years.
J
C
Me
first
of
all,
thank
you
very
much.
I
want
to
thank
Washington
gateway
for
and
put
on
an
incredible
show
here
today.
I
want
to
thank
the
performance.
How
about
a
round
of
applause
for
EMP,
Chinatown
and
I
want
to
thank
all
the
businesses
that
are
here
that
opening
up
their
stores
to
us
today
and
serving
us
incredible
food,
but
also
being
part
of
the
great
neighborhood.
This
is
our
we've
this
after
idea
we're
doing
this.
The
kind
of
the
mayor
on
Main
trolley
tour.
It's
really
about
celebrating
our
businesses
in
our
neighborhood.
C
We
used
to
do
this
at
the
Strand
theater
and
we
didn't
really
get
a
chance
to
see
our
neighborhoods.
This
changes
it
up
a
little
bit
by
bringing
people
out
to
the
community,
so
people
can
see
here
we're
trying
to
encourage
people
to
make
sure
why
you're
here
go
shopping,
buy
slice
of
pizza,
buy
something
and
the
great
store
behind
me
buy
something
here
and
be
active
in
the
community.
We're
also
celebrating
businesses
for
incredible
accomplishments,
as
you
heard
earlier,
and
also
a
volunteer
the
that
we
sponsor
in
Main
Street
programs.
C
Sadly
Boston
over
20
years
ago.
It's
a
program
that
really
was
built
off
of
volunteerism.
It
was
a
program
move,
you
paid
the
executive
director
and
everyone
else
doesn't
volunteerism
and
instead
of
celebrating
a
neighborhood,
you
can
literally
see
the
connection
between
academia
with
its
prospering
by
having
good
strong
businesses
in
it
by
having
people
involved
and
engage.
So
that's
what
we're
celebrating
today
so
I'm
gonna
stop
by
announcing
the
business
the
Year
award.
C
You
already
heard
boomerang
I'm
not
gonna,
go
too
much
into
it,
because
we
already
heard
a
lot
about
it,
but
it's
it's
an
incredible
opportunity
to
see
a
store
that
provides
the
opportunity
for
people
to
work,
but
also
an
opportunity
to
give
back
and
then,
given
the
proceeds,
is
so
important
that
you
hear
and
want
to
celebrate.
So
everyone
from
boomerang
come
on
up.
So
we
can
recognize
you.
B
C
I
want
to
give
a
shout
out
to
a
couple
of
people
Andrew
the
director
I,
want
to
thank
city
council.
Mr.
sabe
George
is
with
us
today
and
city
council.
Michael
Flaherty
is
with
us
today.
I
have
two
big
proponents
and
strong
supporters
of
the
Main
Street
program.
Well,
I
think
that
for
being
with
us,
the
only
thing
commissionable
across
is
here
with
us:
Boston
Police,
Department,
Thank,
You,
Commissioner
Gronk's,
for
the
great
work
you
do.
I
want
to
thank
Steve
who
CEO
Steve
Gilmour
from
the
Main
Street
office.
Thank
you.
C
Steve
Thank,
You,
chief
economic
development
and
I
have
to
go
back
to
see
home
for
meeting
with
a
chief
drop.
I
rose
as
well
for
his
great
work.
There's
a
lot
of
great
people
here.
Well,
thank
you
all.
If
I
didn't
miss,
you
I
still
love
you.
The
volunteer
of
the
Year
award,
a
member
of
the
Washington
gateway,
Main
Street
Board
of
Directors,
its
infinitive
director
of
the
South
End
Business
Alliance
works
very
very
hard
and
very
closely
with
us
to
support
the
community
of
local
business
owners
and
what
I
said
earlier
at
an
event.
C
Was
the
volunteers?
Other
people
who
really
keep
the
glue
of
these
associations
together
they're
the
ones
who
live
in
the
neighborhood,
who
do
the
work,
do
the
grunt
work
who
deliver
the
flowers
clean
the
streets
pass,
the
fliers
I'll
do
everything
you
can
and
I
want
to
have
a
war
to
come
on
up
here.
B
C
I
bring
up
one
from
Chinatown
I
want
to
just
make
announcement
announcement
here
today
to
about
six
months
ago,
we
started
to
explore
the
idea
of
bringing
the
National
Main
streets
meeting
here
to
the
City
of
Austin,
and
we
were
successful
and
I'm
proud
to
announce
that
next
year,
2003
is
now
2021
will
be
hosting
20
21
year
old
national
conference
here
in
the
City
of
Austin
may
increase
the
national
conversation
next
year,
it's
in
Dallas
and
we're
thinking
about
putting
something
trip
together
to
go
to
Dallas
and
and
sell
Boston.
So
thank
you.
K
C
Those
you
that
don't
know
Chinatown
has
a
very
strong
Main
Street
program,
the
tab
for
a
long
time.
They
do
a
lot
of
great
things
while
working
with
to
bring
new
business
is
the
community,
but
also
one
of
the
biggest
in
Chinatown
Main
Street
says,
is
how
do
you
preserve
their
businesses
as
people
get
pushed
out
trying
to
keep
those
in
so
I
also
want
to
thank
them.
C
C
The
next
this
is
the
me
my
martial
arts
academy
lion
dancing,
helps
ward
off
evil
for
new
businesses.
As
usual,
I
will
do
today
to
ward
off
the
evils
always
available
to
perform
in
the
community.
They
have
many
volunteers
and
they've
helped
so
many
different
ways
and
I've
seen
them
perform
in
Chinatown
on
several
times
on
different
events
and
it's
such
an
important
pot.
It's
also
a
very
important
part
of
the
culture
and
the
tradition,
and
it's
important
for
us
to
remember.
C
C
And
the
volunteer
of
the
Year
award
goes
to
a
gentleman.
That's
been
proud
of
the
Chinatown
community
for
40
years.
He's
somebody
that's
very
approachable
and
helps
determine
to
make
sure
that
he's
receptive
to
all
the
community
members
dedicated
to
Chinatown
always
willing
to
help
and
that's
Larry
Wong.
B
B
J
Everyone
we
are
very
happy
to
be
able
to
say
that
our
businesses,
along
here
foodies,
as
well
as
our
union
Pizza
and
our
new
pasta
shop,
which
should
just
recently
opened,
have
food
available
for
everybody.
So
please
make
sure,
there's
food
here,
this
food
inside
each
one
of
these
two
shops-
please
go
in,
say
hello
example
the
food
and
take
some
home.
Thank
you
very
much
for
coming
and
we
look
forward
to
see
you
again
next
year.
Thank
you.
