From YouTube: Craft Beer Cellar Ribbon Cutting
Description
Mayor Walsh cuts the ribbon at Craft Beer Cellar in Roslindale, the first tenant to occupy the Roslindale Substation in over 30 years. The development was completed with help from the Roslindale Village Main Streets organization.
A
A
A
A
How
many
oh
yeah,
like
this
medicine
system,
like
a
baseball
game,
I,
just
want
to
celebrate
with
you
the
opening
of
the
craft
beer
cellar,
their
grand
opening?
Is
they
didn't
even
have
a
soft
opening?
They
waited
for
you
to
have
a
ribbon-cutting
in
the
grand
opening
today,
and
we
have
a
very
short
program
were
a
lot
of
important
players
and
the
redevelopment
of
this
substation
to
speak
a
little
bit
about
how
it
happened.
How
it
came
to
be
and
share
in
the
beauty
of
this
main
floor,
which
will
soon
be
a
restaurant.
B
Thank
you
very
much.
I
will
I
will
be
incredibly
brief.
I
just
want
to
thank
everybody
who
is
involved.
A
couple
people
outside
were
very
helpful
to
boss,
water
and
store
and
a
national
grid.
You
know
there's
some
issues
coming
in
out
of
the
building
and
they
understood
how
important
this
centerpiece
of
Ra's
Nell
was
going
to
be.
Of
course,
I
want
to
thank
those
main
streets
in
alia
and
and
everybody
else
who
helped
on
this
and
but
I
do
want
to
go
back
to
win
the
talk
of
this
first
started.
B
So
I
want
to
thank
you
guys
and
you
know,
I
get
the
the
honor
to
introduce.
My
friend
in
our
mayor
he's
been
doing
an
incredible
job
and
when
I
look
at
district
5
in
particular,
which
I
represent,
you
know,
we
see
the
new
parks.
We
see
6.7
million
dollars
go
into
the
library.
We
see
another
pocket
being
built
at
at
haley
field.
Next
year
we
see
a
bribe
and
square.
B
We
see
a
new,
a
new
business
group,
a
small
rossdale
business
group
working
hand
in
hand
with
with
main
streets
now
bringing
more
businesses
and
trying
to
trying
to
grab
more
and
more
people
to
come
in
Raj
nails
been
a
focus,
it's
a
destination
point.
You
should
all
be
proud
because
everybody
in
this
room
had
something
to
do
with
it,
and
now
we
have
to
support
our
continue
to
support
our
restaurants
in
our
businesses
in
the
square.
So
without
further
ado,
my
friend
and
I
mayor
mayor
mighty
wall.
C
Thank
you
very
much.
Jimmy
and
I
want
to
wha.
First
of
all,
thank
everyone
for
being
here
today.
There's
there
is
a
lot
of
things
around
a
lot
of
the
thing
I'm
looking
at
the
list
here,
so
a
lot
of
the
people
speaking
today,
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
everyone
in
what
you've
done
to
make
today
happen
the
City,
Council,
Michael
clarity
and
Michelle
whoo.
Thank
you
very
much
for
you've
done,
send
a
rush.
C
You
know
certainly
Tim
McCarthy
and
Robbie
cansado
before
him
and
did
call
me
before
him
and
Tom
Menino
before
him
and
when
you
think
about
when
you
think
about
this
neighborhood,
this
is
a
special
place
when,
when
main
streets
program
came
to
came
to,
Boston
rosendale
was
the
first
thing
and
certainly
still
continues
to
to
be
the
model
anytime.
That
you're
in
other
neighborhoods
people
point
back
to
what's
happening
in
roseville,
Square
and
rocky,
and
you
think
about
rossendale
mainsheet,
you
think
about
over
the
years.
C
Time
has
changed,
as
businesses
have
come
and
businesses
have
gone,
you
continue
to
attract
strong
vibrant
businesses
to
the
community
and
what
makes
our
city
in
Boston
so
special
is
the
fact
that
what
we
do
we
focus
around
neighborhoods
will
really
focus
the
neighborhoods
and
and
main
streets
can
be
the
lifeblood
of
communities.
You
look
around
the
city
of
Boston
and
over
the
last
several
years
we
start
to
see
other
neighborhoods
really
just
get
get
excited
in
snot
that
picking
up
and
in
most
of
those
neighborhoods,
you
can
point
back
to
a
main
street.
C
That's
made
a
change
and
that's
really
looking
at
how
they
advance
the
neighborhood
and
that's
what
happens
here.
Timmy
talks
about
the
investments
that
the
city
is
made
in
this
neighborhood,
it's
made
in
this
neighborhood
because
there's
activism
and
the
people
in
this
neighborhood
care,
you're
grabbing
Michelle,
you're,
grabbing
Michael
you're
grabbing
my
crotch
grabbing
Timmy
you're
grabbing
your
state
representatives,
you're
grabbing
your
other
elected
officials
and
sang
to
them.
We
need
to
move
forward
so
I
want
to.
Thank
you.
I'm
also
excited
about
this
space
right
here.
C
That's
going
to
be
developed
and
I
want
to
thank,
I
see
chris
douglas
out
there
and
I
want
to
thank
christmas.
Chris
call
me
it
got
elected
mayor
of
Washington
three
years
ago
and
Chris
was
one
of
the
first
people
that
call
me,
and
they
were
talking
about
this
development
saying
you
know
we
need
to.
We
need
to
try
and
change
things
up
a
little
bit.
The
pass
would
want
to
get
the
development
and
we
do.
The
housing
would
do
everything
else.
C
He
said,
let's
get
some,
let's
get
some
stuff
moving
forward,
so
that
we
can
get
to
a
point
where
we're
standing
here.
Cutting
ribbons
and
I
said:
okay,
let's
do
it.
Let's
change
up
a
bit
in
the
meantime,
Tim
McCarthy
had
gotten
elected
and
he
said:
I
want
to
make
an
invest
in
the
library.
I
want
to
make
sure
we
do
the
square
across
the
street.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
we
we
have
the
neighborhood
so
as
we're
building
out
we're
also
attracting
the
whole
community.
Sofa
I
just
want
to
thank
everyone.
C
First
of
all,
I
want
to
congratulate
craft
es
Ella
for
their
grand
opening.
I.
Also
want
to
congratulate
them
on
picking
today,
because
today
is
a
great
day
to
pick.
As
you
know,
if
you
don't
know
at
eight-fifteen,
we
have
a
little
football
game
tonight.
So
so
a
lot
of
people
are
stocking
up,
so
the
downstairs
buying
now
and
they're
going
to
go
home,
and
then
they
have
plenty
of
time
to
come
back
before
the
days
over
to
get
the
second
round
for
the
game
tonight.
C
So
it's
a
brilliant
strategic
move
by
them,
certainly
to
open
up
today.
But
just
simply
thank
you
to
everybody
saying
you
know
my
job
is
Marion,
timoshev
is
constant
and
the
rest
of
us
then
enabled
like
Razi
makes
it
easy
and
what
I
mean
by
that
is
that
the
community
really
rallied
around
advancing
their
neighborhood.
C
So
being
an
elected
official
in
the
city
of
Boston
is
easier
than
being
elected
official
in
some
other
places,
because
in
other
places
you
don't
have
the
community
that
loves
their
neighborhood
and
in
this
table
here
you
have
the
community
that
absolutely
loves
your
neighborhood
you're
involved
in
every
aspect
of
it.
I
want
to
thank
you
and
I
want
to
congratulate
today,
crafty
SLO,
Razi
rosendale
because
of
I
wish.
C
A
D
Thanks
so
much
what
a
pleasure
it
is
to
see
so
many
people
here
to
celebrate
and
who
have
sustained
their
interest
in
this
place
through.
However,
many
years
now
that
we've
been
pursuing
solutions
here,
and
I
think
that
the
community
support
has
been
an
important
piece
of
being
able
to
bring
a
historic
building
back
into
the
life
of
the
community.
D
But
I
want
to
begin
by
thanking
mayor
Walsh,
because
I
think
it's
obvious
that
his
sustained
support
and
Mayor
Menino
before
him
has
helped
to
recognize
how
historic
buildings
are
important
assets
already
existing
in
our
community.
That
can
be
brought
back
to
life
and
stimulate
so
much
more
economic
investment
really
think
about
this.
Today,
we're
celebrating
the
opening
of
a
business
that
will
employ
wonderful
people
from
within
this
neighborhood
open
an
entrepreneurial
opportunity
for
somebody,
and
then
we
looked
across
the
way
and
find
43
units
of
housing
with
fifty
percent
affordability
in
it.
D
This
is
great
news
that
it
stimulated
by
the
restoration
of
a
historic
building
and
think
about
what
we're
going
to
come
back
here
to
see
not
too
long
from
now,
where
you
see
a
new
restaurant,
that
chris
douglas
is
making
a
major
investment
in
and
taking
risk
as
an
entrepreneur
and
in
knowing
very
well
that
this
is
a
community,
that's
going
to
show
and
it's
going
to
make
the
business
work.
So
let
me
also
say
that
this
is
a
collaboration,
and
that
has
really
made
this
all
work.
D
You
as
a
community
have
been
instrumental
but
roslindale
village
main
street.
Your
leadership
in
this
business
district
sent
numerable
hours
with
us
planning
this
project,
trying
to
find
the
right
solution
over
more
than
a
decade.
I
want
to
credit
them
and
I
can't
do
it
individually.
But
let
me
tell
you,
you
have
some
wonderful
folks,
working
on
your
behalf
in
this
neighborhood
Peregrine
groups
talked
about
risk.
This
is
a
development
group
that
gets
urban.
Neighborhoods
gets
the
vitality
that
places
like
this
can
bring
and
that
it's
good
for
business
and
good
for
real
estate
investments.
D
Bev
colin
and
their
entire
team
for
taking
the
risk,
making
the
investment
and
seeing
the
possibility
here
we
look
forward
as
a
historic
preservation
organization
to
coming
back
when
we
dedicate
this
building
with
a
new
restaurant
in
it
and
the
whole
complex
as
a
great
example
of
how
historic
preservation
can
stimulate
economic
development
and
be
a
critical
piece
of
the
viability
of
not
just
its
neighborhoods,
but
many
many
others
across
Boston.
Thank
you
again.
Thank
you
all
for
your
support
and
stay
focused
and
stay
tuned,
because
there's
more
to
come.
E
Thanks
everyone.
This
is
amazing
to
be
standing
here
now,
I
mean
this
has
been
in
our
brains
for
the
last
four
years
and
for
the
people
here
in
roslindale,
it's
been
more
than
it's
been
decades.
They've
been
working
on
this.
It
is
a
pleasure
to
deliver
a
product
like
this
that
has
been
dreamed
of
it
envisioned
by
this
community
and
I've
met
a
bunch
of
folks
that
I
have
not
met,
who
told
me
they
were
involved
30
years
ago.
E
So
for
us
this
is
sort
of
like
we
get
to
bring
it
home
and
it
feels
really
good,
but
we
take
very
little
credit
for
the
vision
of
this.
This
is
an
amazing
amazing
opportunity
to
bring
the
community,
together
with
with
HB
I,
to
not
only
reposition
sort
of
underutilized
site,
but
to
make
a
historic
property
glorious
again.
So
with
that
I
don't
want
to
spend
a
lot
of
time.
Talking.
I
really
want
to
get
enough
here.
I
want
to
get
the
folks
in
our
VMs
up
here.
E
They
really
deserve
all
the
credit,
but
if
you
want
to
say,
bryanboy
haven't
seen
yet
congratulations
dude.
This
was
a
lot
of
work
and
I
know
you
put
a
lot
of
blood,
sweat
and
tears,
and
many
sleepless
nights,
I'm
assuming
and
councilor
of
the
car
thieves
office,
and
we
thank
you
so
much
for
everything
you
guys
have
done
it's
a
beautiful
example
of
community
development
at
work.
Thank
you.
A
We
want
to
say
to
these
folks
at
a
time
leadership,
Joe
portal,
lucky,
who
you
know
from
rossendale
hardware,
baby,
merino,
jim
nichols,
glenn
williams,
who
absolutely
knows
Charlie
McCarthy,
with
Carter
Wilkie,
Steve
Jack,
who
I
noticed
you
to
Jennifer
made
our
Hilary
Sullivan
I
saw
her
shoes
and
then
our
current
president
he's
Anthony
Giordano
is
someone
dressed
and
then
former
executive
directors,
directors
of
the
past,
who
I
think
immensely
Kate
Horrigan
Tom,
licky,
Janice,
Williams,
jodi,
bird
Stephanie
cave
and
Christina
deliciou,
my
friend
and
former
boss,
and
without
further
ado?
This
is
adam
Roca.
A
F
So
this
is
just
a
just
a
victory
lap
for
us,
because
this
is
14
years
in
the
making.
One
fact
that
I
want
to
share
is
that
when
this
building
shut
down
in
1971,
we
know
there
was
one
employee,
starting
at
the
end
of
this
year,
there
will
be
over
30
employees
in
the
building,
that's
about
five,
with
their
beer,
sellers
and
25
to
30,
with
the
restaurant
and
and
maybe
more
with
the
peregrines
only
own
officers
here.
So
this
is
a
great
victory
for
rossendale.
F
The
Podesta,
taken
literally
hundreds
of
hours
of
volunteer
work
by
great
people
in
roslindale
I
want
to
thank
them
personally.
Alysha
over
my
co-chair
has
been
absolutely
terrific
on
this
Wayne
beitler
Mike
saloni
mark
bucovina,
Steve,
dag
Jake,
smelly,
ol,
D,
Marino,
Carter,
Wilkie
and
Joe
Weaver
have
all
donated
incredible
amounts
of
times
that
have
I've
forgotten
anybody,
I
apologize
because
in
some
way
or
another,
the
whole
organization
has
donated
a
tremendous
amount
of
effort.
It's
also
I'd
like
to
just
acknowledge
our
great
partnership
with
Peregrine
and
HB
I.
F
I
would
also
like
to
thank
councillor
McCarthy
and
before
him,
Rob
Consalvo
and
the
mayor
who
met
with
us
before
he
took
office
in
topple.
Oh,
he
met
with
us
privately
and
said
how
can
I
help
this
happen
and
sure
enough?
He
has
committed
time
and
resources
on
this
over
the
years.
So
a
person
like
to
thank
the
mayor
for
this,
so
I'm
Brian,
Europe.
G
I
think
you
think
you
everyone
for
coming
today.
It
takes
a
lot
of
ppl
makes
captain
and
you
know
I
really
want
to.
I
want
to
holler
a
promise.
Little
droplet
take
one
of
people
can
make
a
cup,
and
I
really
am
overwhelmed
by
all
the
folks
that
we
mentioned
and
thanks
for
any
today,
but
I
want
to
also
thank
my
family
friends,
new
friends
I've
made
along
the
way
and
great
craft
beer
lovers
around
the
Boston
area,
friends
that
I
haven't
met,
and
so
thank
you
all
for
being
here
today.
G
What
we
will
do,
our
later
folks
will
come
down
and
we
will
do
champagne
toast,
with
a
blueberry,
interesting
blueberry,
champagne,
to
celebrate
our
opening,
but
I.
Don't
think
you
always
look
forward
to
meeting
everyone
and
keep
me
like
customers
at
the
crafter
seller
robbery.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
