determine
the
order
that
needs
to
appear
on
the
ballot.
In
the
upcoming
preliminary
municipal
election,
scheduled
for
September
26
2017.
My
name
is
Dion
Irish
I'm,
the
Commissioner
of
the
Boston
election
department
and
the
chairman
of
the
Board
of
Election
Commissioners.
Also
with
me
today,
our
fellow
commissioners
on
our
four
member
Boyd,
commissioner

Commissioner
Carolyn
Owens

I'd
like
to
publicly
thank
East
a
for
the
Boston
election
Department,
led
by
head
assistant,
registrar's
to
being
a
formality
for
all
your
efforts.
All
your
hard
work
and
good
work
that
you've
been
performing
since
this
process
began
on
April
19th.
To
get
us
to
the
point
where
we
are
today,
where
we've
had
over
50
plus
potential
candidates
signed
up
to
run
for
office
and
44
successfully
qualified
for
the
ballot.
For
today's
preliminary
election.

We're
only
going
to
have
a
preliminary
election
for
five
offices
for
the
office
of
mayor
for
district
city
council,
one
district
city
council
to
district
city,
council,
seven
and
district
city
council.
Nine,
the
other
offices
did
not
qualify
for
preliminary
those
candidates,
name
will
appear
when
we
do
a
drawing
for
the
November
ballot,

just
to
