Description
Election Commission Board Meeting 9-24-20
A
A
All
in
favor
all
opposed
and
the
eyes
have
it.
The
board
will
move
to
certify
the
minutes
from
the
tuesday
september
8th
board
meeting,
and
the
second
agenda
item
is
the
certification
of
early
voting
sites
as
well
as
dropbox
locations
for
the
november
third
election,
and
I'm
going
to
turn
this
over
to
mike
chinetti
and
sabine.
Who
will
present
the
board
with
the
city's
plan
for
early
voting
and
for
dropbox
locations.
C
So
presented
in
front
of
you
is
a
map
of
all
the
locations
and
you
can
start
right
off
on
the
right
hand,
side
where
it
says:
city
hall,
city
hall
is
on
monday
through
friday,
location,
monday,
wednesday,
friday
being
nine
to
five
tuesday
and
thursday,
being
nine
to
eight
and
we'll
follow
along
to
the
to
the
weekends.
So
the
first
weekend
that
we'll
have
early
voting
will
be
october,
17th
and
18th
from
11
a.m
to
7
p.m.
C
You
see
highlighted
10
locations
with
a
number
that
represents
each
one
to
the
left.
If
you
follow
along
on
the
map,
you'll
see
that
number
and
that's
where
that
location
is
located
on
the
map.
C
The
blue
bubbles
are
the
first
weekend
and
if
you
go
down
to
the
the
11
20
for
the
second
weekend,
which
is
october
24th
through
the
25th
same
time,
11
a.m
to
7
p.m.
Those
are
represented
by
the
red
bubbles
following
along
down
to
the
drop
boxes.
Those
are
also
color-coded
and
number
coded.
So
if
you
follow
that
number
you'll
find
a
mailbox
next
to
that
number.
That
signifies
that
that
is
a
male
drop
box
in
the
locations
on
the
map.
A
D
Good
afternoon
boyd
michael
schnetty
election
department,
where
we
took
in
we,
took
into
account
for
these
early
voting
locations,
obviously
the
size
of
the
venue
we
needed
larger
size
venues
for
the
the
ballots
that
we're
going
to
have
out
there,
as
well
as
the
voting
booths
and
the
pull
pad
machines
that
we
have
out
there
to
check
in
registered
voters
in
the
city
of
boston,
the
city,
buildings.
D
Obviously
some
of
the
buildings
we
have
done
before
in
the
election
cycle
this
year
for
the
state
primary,
as
well
as
previous
elections,
some
of
the
private
locations
that
we
have
here
as
well.
I
can,
for
instance,
district
hall.
Some
of
these
locations
reached
out
to
us
to
be
a
host
site,
which
was
great
so
we
went
out.
There
took
a
survey,
handicap
accessibility.
D
Obviously
separate
entrances
was
very
huge
for
voters
to
come
in,
as
well
as
an
exit
for
voters
to
come
out,
so
people
aren't
crossing
each
other
in
hallways
or
in
the
rooms
as
well
as
parking.
It
took
parking
into
effect.
You
know,
obviously,
on
seaport's
a
little
bit
more
challenging,
but
some
of
the
city
venues
we
do
have
larger
parking
lots
for
the
teachers
and
staff
parked
there.
B
So
with
conway,
where
specifically,
are
we
obviously
we're
not
doing
it
on.
D
Home
base,
that's
correct
the
event
the
we
got
ford
jersey
street
is
the
actual
location
of
fenway
park.
There
are
several
venues
inside
the
concourse
that
we're
looking
at,
but
we
do
have
a
couple
of
spots
that
the
transportation
department
city
of
boston's
transportation
department's,
going
to
help
us
out
with
some
handicapped
parking,
as
well
as
some
on-street
parking
as
well
for
voters
to
get
in
there.
A
Okay,
so
I
will
go
on
the
list
and
read
the
locations
by
date.
So
again,
that's
amino
mentioned.
City
hall
is
going
to
be
an
early
voting
location
monday
through
friday
for
the
first
two
for
the
two
weeks
of
early
voting
with
tuesday
and
thursdays,
having
late
options
from
9am
to
8pm
and
then
the
weekend
sites
for
october
17th
and
18th.
A
We
are
keeping
all
of
our
community-based
sites
on
the
weekend
that
weekend,
we'll
have
the
power
street
gym
on
paris
street
in
east
boston,
josiah,
quincy,
school
885,
washington,
street
district
hall,
5
northern
ave
in
boston,
richard
j
murphy
school
one
laurel
street
in
dorchester,
the
thelma
burns
building
575
warren
street
in
roxbury,
the
roach
community
center
1716
center
street,
the
dewitt
center
122.
A
So,
in
addition
to
early
voting
we
now
we
will
now
be
providing
the
drop
boxes
that
sabina
mentioned
across
the
city,
and
I
believe
we
have
a
total
of
17
drop
boxes
across
the
city
when
you
factor
in
the
two
drop
boxes
that
are
going
to
be
available
at
city
hall,
and
we
try
to
take
the
we
try
to
consider
a
location
that
is
familiar
to
voters,
which
is
why
we
decided
to
go
with
libraries.
A
The
only
site
that
is
not
a
boston
public
library
is
the
site
in
rothendale,
which
is
the
thomas
eminino
community
center
right
and
the
reason
being
is
the
roslindale
library
is
under
construction,
and
the
community
center
is
under
construction
as
well.
So
we
went
with
the
thomas
menino
community
center
and
again
there
are
17
total
drop
boxes
across
the
city,
and
voters
will
be
able
to
return
their
vote
by
mail
ballots
to
an
early
vote
location
as
well,
and.
A
There'll
be
two
there'll,
be
one
on
the
third
floor
and
there'll
be
one
at
the
converse
street
entrance
later.
Okay,.
A
A
Oh
yes,
the
drop
boxes
are
only
going
to
be
available
until
8
o'clock
on
election
night.
So
we
will
have
someone
manning
those
drop
boxes
on
election
night,
probably
an
hour
before,
just
to
be
ready
to
lock
those
boxes
at
8pm
on
the
clock,
all
right
and
that's
all
I
have.
Does
anyone
have
any
other
updates.
B
Madam
chair,
I
make
a
motion
to
certify
all
of
the
above
for
certification.
A
Second,
all
in
favor
aye
all
opposed
no
one,
so
all
right
and
the
eyes
have
it
so
the
board
will
move
to
certify
the
early
voting
locations
for
the
november
3rd
presidential
election
and
the
drop
boxes
all
right.
That's
all.
I
have.
