A
I
just
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
being
here
to
celebrate
the
220th
year
over
the
flag
that
identified
Haiti
as
a
nation,
so
for
fathers
had
fought
very
hard
to
making
sure
that
we
got
the
flag.
We
could
not
deny
that.
We
should
be
so
grateful
to
celebrate
the
flag
today,
no
matter
what
is
being
taking
place
in
Haiti,
we
need
to
be
proud.
Aren't
you
proud
to
be
Hessian
the
first
successful
slave
revolution
in
the
world?
A
I'm
so
glad
we
have
the
Young
Generation
I
call
them
the
current
leader
and
the
future
leader
that
would
take
the
legacy
on
to
continue
the
celebrator,
hoping
to
see
all
of
you
again,
this
coming
Sunday
in
barabena
to
to
celebrate
the
21st
parade,
Hau
Prairie
on
behalf
of
Hao
the
board.
We
have
many
also
members
of
the
board
here.
Member
of
the
college.
Thank
you
for
being
here
elected
officials.
Thank
you
for
staying
with
us
and
helping
us
as
well
with
the
new
migrants
who
are
arriving.
They
need
housing,
education.
A
A
B
B
Happy
Haitian,
Flag
Day
again,
I
am
at
large
city
council,
routine,
the
first
Haitian
on
Boston
city
council.
Thank
you
to
my
community
who
have
made
that
possible.
I
am
so
happy
to
be
here
on
Nation
flag
day.
This
is
the
220th
celebration
of
our
flag,
that
is
the
story
of
Black
Liberation
for
the
world.
The
only
country
founded
from
a
successful
slave
revolt
I
am
so
thankful
for
my
ancestors.
B
Who
make
our
story
possible?
Boston
is
the
third
largest
Haitian
diaspora.
We
bring
so
much
to
this
city,
including
all
of
our
health
care
workers
who
we
just
honored.
So
thank
you,
Messi
and
peel
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
For
all.
You
do
to
lift
up
not
only
ourselves
as
the
Haitian
Community,
but
to
listen,
Lift
us
up
here
in
Boston,
so
we
will
be
raising
this
flag,
our
students
again
from
the
Tucson
Adventure
Academy,
but
we'll
be
singing
I.
B
Just
wanted
to
thank
all
of
my
colleagues
in
government
for
being
here,
State
honored
auditor,
of
course,
our
wonderful
mayor,
Michelle,
Wu
city
council,
president
at
Glenn,
state
representative,
Chris,
Worrell
and
state
representative
Brandi,
Fluker
Oakley.
We
are
now
going
to
have
the
mayor
come
up
and
share
a
few
words
with
us.
D
Messi,
thank
you
to
everyone
for
being
here
and
to
our
incredible
leader
and
partner
on
the
Boston
city,
council,
city,
council,
busting
down
barriers
and
making
a
difference
across
the
country.
I
am
really
grateful
to
have
the
chance
to
to
celebrate
in
community.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
we
also
recognize
some
of
the
Community
Partners
Haitian
Americans
United,
for
your
work
on
the
parade
and
the
gala,
and
so
many
other
events
in
community
coming
up.
If
see,
I
cannot
say
enough
about
it.
D
Dr
gebel
and
all
of
the
team
there
who
are
helping
Boston,
navigate
some
very
challenging
times
for
our
community
members
and
making
sure
that
we
are
doing
whatever
it
takes
for
newcomers
to
Boston
to
be
safe
and
healthy
and
loved
and
part
of
our
community.
Here,
thank
you
to
all
of
the
other
organizations,
also
providing
support
and
resources
from
our
littlest
Learners
to
our
our
seniors
and
and
elders
and
community.
D
As
mentioned,
we
are
so
proud
to
have
the
history
and
the
designation
of
being
home
to
one
of
the
largest
Haitian
communities
in
the
country,
and
we
are
proud
to
celebrate
your
culture,
your
history
and
your
community.
Every
day
we
know-
and
we
stand
with
you
about
this
being
a
rich
and
complicated
history
from
the
Haitian
revolution
becoming
the
first
black
Republic
in
the
world
and
setting
example
for
those
movements
for
Liberation
across
the
Caribbean
and
Latin
America,
all
the
way
to
the
ongoing
challenges
that
Haiti
continues
to
face.
D
Today,
our
hearts
are
with
the
people
of
Haiti
and
we
are
hoping
and
taking
action
for
the
safety
and
well-being
of
all
those
impacted
by
the
current
political
instability.
On
the
ground
paired
with
the
ongoing
climate
crisis,
many
Haitians
have
been
forced
to
leave
their
homes
and
found
their
way
to
Boston.
D
Our
newest
residents,
our
family
members
and
friends
and
neighbors,
who
are
fleeing
in
stability
and
seeking
safety
here
as
Boston,
can
provide,
and
we
also
recognize
that
everything
we
do
isn't
always
enough,
and
so
we
need
a
response
that
is
truly
Regional,
Federal
National
and
we
call
on
our
partners
and
thank
all
of
those
standing
here
from
the
state
legislature
and
state
government
and
our
partners,
especially
congresswoman
Presley
at
the
federal
level
and
all
of
our
federal
Partners.
We
need
state,
federal
and
City
to
stand
together
to
help
fill
these
gaps.
D
We
need
intake
centers
to
provide
wraparound
services
and
temporary
shelter
people
space
for
people
to
be
safe
and
we're
calling
on
our
partners
who
use
every
resource
to
make
sure
our
new
neighbors
are
eligible
for
work
permits
immediately
to
show
those
more
quickly
progress
thanks
to
the
organizing
and
advocacy
led
by
those
here
on
the
ground
in
community.
But
we
need
to
see
even
more,
especially
for
people
who
have
been
here
for
months
who
are
ready
to
get
to
work,
who
are
already
important
parts
of
our
community.
D
B
Who
has
a
number
of
Haitians
in
her
cabinet,
including
Jessica
Pierre
Michelle
Delhi
is
here
of
the
liaison
for
the
Haitian
Community
Brianna
Melora
chief
of
Civic
engagement,
who
is
not
here
with
us
Dr
Kevin
Simone.
So
thank
you
for
all
Phyllis.
Oh
my
sister
Phyllis
also
thank
you.
B
We
also
have
a
proclamation
from
the
governor,
my
favorite
Malaika
lucians,
here
we're
going
to
read
that
afterwards
Malaika
the
daughter
of
our
old
historian,
Chalo
Lucia
before
we
raise
the
flag
I'm
going
to
call
up
doctor
Monday's
here
to
give
us
a
quick
prayer
and
then
we're
going
to
raise
the
flag
with
the
kids
singing
so
Dr,
montezia
and
I
also
wanted
to
make
known
state
representative
Rob
consalvo
is
here
who
serves
our
history
community
so
wonderfully,
and
we
work
really
well
together.
So
thank
you,
State
Rep
for
being
here.
E
Shall
we
pray,
Our
Father,
who
art
in
heaven
Hallowed
be
thy
name
thy
kingdom
come
and
thy
will
be
done.
We
thank
you
this
morning
for
this
great
opportunity
that
you
give
us
together
here
remembering
over
220
years
or
so
that
this
part
of
land
that
we
call
Haiti
has
been
liberated.
We
thank
you
oh
God,
for
the
Bloodshed
that
has
poured
out
so
that
people
could
be
freed
from
the
slavery
and
tyranny,
and
today
we
stand
here.
Oh
God,
we
pray
that
this
ceremony
will
not
go
unnoticed,
be
with
us,
be
with
everyone.
Here.
E
We
pray
for
our
politicians,
oh
God,
and
particularly
for
our
city
councilor
our
resolution
for
the
opportunity
that
she
has
to
stand
here
and
to
make
sure
that
she
represent
Haiti,
as
even
though
she
is
representing
this
country,
the
United
States
of
America
father.
We
pray
be
with
everyone
here,
pray
for
our
mayor
for
all
the
other
politicians
and
every
single
person
here,
give
us
grace
of
God
that
we
may
see.
I
know
Haiti
where
the
sun
will
rise
with
peace
and
security
for
all.
We
pray
in
Jesus,
name,
amen,.
B
Okay,
our
kids
are
about
to
start,
but
I
also
wanted
to
shout
out
our
performance
representative,
Maurice
and
Fleur
is
in
the
house
and
former
state
senator
Linda
sanofori
without
the
two
of
them.
My
story
is
not
possible
at
all.
So
thank
you
for
being
here
and
thank
you
for
all.
You
do
my
second
grade
teacher
Miss
Nicholas.
Kick
it
off
for
us
as
we
raise
the
flag,
that's
supposed.
