Description
We get a rematch of last year's BNBL Girls 13 & Under Championship at the Shelburne Community Center in Roxbury, as the Shelburne Alphas take on the Showstoppers.
B
A
Hello,
everybody
welcome
to
the
Shelburne
Community
Center
in
Roxbury,
as
we
continue
our
coverage
of
the
2017
Boston
neighborhood
Basketball
League
season,
and
tonight
we
have
the
girls
13
division
is
the
Shelburne
alphas
take
on
the
showstoppers,
hello,
everybody,
I'm
pat
flower
tea,
gentlemen,
my
partner
Alan
Platt
Alan.
We
got
the
13
and
under
girls
division
here
at
the
Shelburne
Center,
which
has
always
been
a
place
where
a
lot
of
successful
girls
programs
have
come
through
and
often
ended
up
in
the
B
NBA
championships,
and
these
two.
These
two
programs
often
are
those
two
team.
A
C
Exactly
right,
this
is
one
of
the
premier
of
girls
sites
for
bmbl
each
summer,
just
like
tiny
we've
there
a
few
weeks
ago,
so
those
those
two
for
the
most
part
always
have
strong
programs
no
different
tonight.
This
is
a
two
good
team
to
showstoppers.
We
see
them
up.
It
almost
feels
like
every
summer
in
the
finals,
in
different
divisions,
right.
D
C
The
cell
phone,
like
you,
said
the
alphas
at
their
head
coasts,
Antonia
Macklin,
think
she's,
a
very
nice
13
on
a
team.
I'm
excited
to
see
them
tonight
without.
A
C
A
E
Thanks
guys,
the
showstoppers
are
undefeated
this
season,
but
they're
going
to
find
themselves
starting
an
early
hole.
They
trail
eight
all
with
seven
minutes
left
in
the
first
half
because
it
took
them
quite
a
while
to
get
the
full
retinue
of
five
players
available
today,
putting
Lassiter
jokes
that
a
lot
of
girls
are
coming
from
cans.
There
was
a
little
bit
of
traffic.
It's
going
to
be
a
little
bit
more
difficult
for
them.
On
the
other
side
for
the
Shelburne
Alfa's,
look
at
an
up-and-down
season.
E
It's
a
positive
note
for
a
team
that
brings
back
just
four
players.
From
last
year.
Eight
of
their
twelve
players
are
brand
new,
including
a
couple
of
ten
year
olds,
head
coach,
Antonio,
Macklin's,
really
looking
forward
to
the
rest
of
the
season
and
all
of
next
year
when
they'll
return
their
entire
team
to
go
up
against
this
strong
showstoppers
team.
Once
again,
guys.
A
Thanks
very
much
Seth,
and
we
were
just
like
we're
just
about
set
to
go
here
at
the
Shelburne
Center
in
Roxbury
as
they
you
see,
the
showstoppers
in
the
yellow,
taking
on
the
Alpha
in
the
black.
As
you
mentioned,
showstoppers
swept
the
girls
divisions
in
each
of
the
last
two
seasons
and
impressively.
C
C
C
C
F
A
C
A
C
A
E
Guys
this
high
tempo,
aggressive
defense
of
the
showstoppers
is
obviously
giving
the
Alpha
some
problems.
Early,
interesting,
Antonia
Macklin
at
one
point,
was
telling
your
team
who's
just
like
playing
with
the
boys.
You
need
to
be
a
little
bit
more
aggressive
yourself.
The
one
thing
to
watch,
though,
for
the
showstoppers
with
only
five
players
foul
trouble
could
be
an
issue
thus
far.
Just
the
one
team
foul
through
the
first
four
or
five
minutes
of
our
actual
first
half
guys
take
it
away
thanks.
A
C
C
A
C
F
F
C
A
A
A
That's
a
half
here:
it's
a
showstoppers
11,
the
shelburne
alpha
10
and
more
the
showstoppers
made
up
for
that
eight-point
deficit
in
a
hurry,
and
now
that
one-point
lead
you
can
see.
This
team
passes
the
ball.
Well,
they
move
really
well.
They
the
girls
seem
to
find
the
open
spots
very
well
offensively.
You
can
see.
C
C
G
C
A
Getting
their
hands
into
the
passing
lanes
and
the
whole
team
has
them
and
they've
created
almost
10
steals
there
in
the
first
half.
So
it's
been
a
pretty
good
defensive
effort.
So
far
for
the
showstoppers
here
at
the
Shelburne
Center,
our
sideline
reporter
Seth
Auto
renske
is
with
I
believe
coach,
Macklin,
so
Steph
take
it
away
from.
E
D
One
of
our
veterans
is
definitely
a
leader.
It
makes
a
difference
with
tides
on
the
floor,
like
I
said:
I
have
eight
new
players,
two
of
my
point
guards
our
new
110
and
the
other
ones
11,
so
they're
fairly
young,
but
it's
a
learning
experience
for
them
and
Ty.
Definitely
a
leader
on
our
team
to
just
you
know,
maintain
the
balance
of
how
the
team
is
flowing
right
now
seemed.
E
A
C
That's
not
that's
not
a
main
point:
I
mean
the
second
half.
It
can
be
a
regular
half
in
terms
of
minutes,
so
showstoppers
get
was
just
five
players.
That's
actually
a
good
idea.
Today
we
stopped
that
way
see
if
you
can
get
some
fast-break
layup
keeping
get
your
team
really
rolling
by
playing
some
D
friends
getting
in
the
passing
lane
same
thing,
the
showstoppers
doing
sure
so
far
on
the
first
half,
so
so
a
mirror
right.
C
A
A
We
point
our
armor
way.
No
good
and
going
down
with
the
rebound
is
from
deep
beyond
a
I'm
going
to
take
it
all
the
way
in
and
malice.
You
would
look
up.
The
court
for
the
Alpha
runs
and
chefs
short
with
that
shot,
but
it's
going
to
stay
with
the
Alpha.
On
this
end
of
the
floor,
see
the
Alpha
Shelburne
alphas
a
little
more
assertive
so
far.
They.
C
Did
that
yeah
I
think
that
Costa
told
them
at
halftime
give
it
a
full
effort,
while
you're
out
there
don't
worry
about
getting
tired,
because
we
have
ten
players
we
can
sub
in
and
out
a
couple
of
key
players
to
probably
stay
out
there
for
more
minutes.
Quit
coach
Matlin
does
want
to
speed
things
up
a
bit
Johnson.

C
She's
scored
inside
and
outside
she
rebounds
runs
the
floor.
I
think
what
okay?
They
still
have.
Five
plays,
but
I
think
coach.
Last
it
was
sort
of
happen.
We
saw
her
walk
in
it's
confusing.
Well,
he
was
one
of
the
last
ones
to
walk
in,
but
I
guess
he
figured
well
she's
won
by
five.
We
can
grow
from
here,
yeah.
C
A
A
A
A
C
C
C
C
F
C
Got
a
shell
forget
about
the
I
guess:
I
perspective,
the
Davis
is
playing
right,
she's
firing
her
teammates
she's,
clearly
the
best
player
just
to
show
to
finish
it's
tough,
because
you
always
learned.
Okay,
you
had
with
teammates
in
front
of
you
for
a
possible
blip.
Give
me
the
ball.
So
some
people
is
written.
C
A
F
C
A
C
Davis
is
really
cast,
he
pull
it
all
out.
You
know
the
midway
through
the
second
half
he
came
out
of
the
game
from
left
been
admitted,
team
gave
up
six
quick
point.
She
had
to
go
back
in
and
even
though
Warren
thought
was
off
of
13th
a
nice
place.
Did
we
again
we
can
stand
that
book
so
stuff
of
the
whole
game.
Guys
played
nice
pass
precut
good,
laugh,
you
know,
that's
that's
how
they
played.
They.
A
A
C
A
A
A
Question
fantastic
game
from
both
these
teams.
We
knew
this
would
be
somewhat
of
a
close
one
coming
in
these
two
coaches
and
these
two
groups
of
programs.
Here
at
the
b,
NB
l
have
often
met
in
the
championship
so
very
fun
to
watch
these
two
teams,
as
the
showstoppers
hang
on
to
win
by
one
twenty
five
to
twenty
four
folks
going
to
head
to
break
when
we
come
back
throughout
the
game
of
the
weekend,
vp
our
final
staff
and
the
winning
coach
right
after
these
works
will
go
away.
I
When
I
was
big,
my
days
were
spent
playing
bass
when
I
was
six
my
dreams
to
make
it
to
the
UVA
when
I
was
fixed,
my
mom
had
a
stroke
on
Paul,
George
and
I.
Want
you
to
spot
a
stroke
fast
F
face
droop
leg,
arm
at
least
difficult
teeth,
time
to
call
9-1-1
protect
the
ones.
You
love
a
lot
of
strokes
back.

Welcome
back
to
the
Shelburne
Centre
in
Roxbury
at
the
conclusion,
a
game
of
the
week,
the
showstoppers
defeat
the
Shelburne
alphas
25:24,
sort
of
some
crazy
circumstances
to
start
the
game,
but
the
showstoppers
right
off
the
bat
we're
able
to
score
a
couple
of
buckets
and
really
show
why
they're
one
of
the
better
programs
in
the
bmbl
and
one
of
the
best
players
on
the
floor
tonight
was
certainly
Andrea
Manley.
She
was
able
to
knock
down
three
pointer.
She
knocked
down
some
free-throws.
She.
E
G
E
E
G
G
E
A
A
C
Estimate
right
when
you're
flying
against
them,
it's
really
hard
to
concentrate
on
one
or
two
players,
because
all
the
have
abilities
it
definitely
showed
tonight.
Residents
really
was
single:
it's
the
only
had
five
then,
and
they
retired
they
are
still
able
to
pull
it
out
really
good
job,
fantastic.
A
C
I
think
I
did
they
were
a
little
rattled.
They
went
out
there
and
brought
the
bat
to
pick
steals
biography,
which
you
know
to
me
is
so
lazy
passes
we're
up
by
eight.
Let's
just
hit
the
ball
for
it,
so
it's
like
it
was
sort
of
strange
and
you're
right,
but
young
young
girls,
and
that's
that's
how
the
problem
that
the
Alpha
have
to
suffer.
They
have
a
few
ten
year
olds,
some
very
young
girls
who
aren't
used
to
playing
much.
C
Aren't
you
just
something
Ruby
dick
office
three
seconds
a
few
times
is
those
little
things
start
to
add
up,
especially
a
game
by
fish
because
not
probably
many
points.
Each
possession
is
important,
so
I
think
that
what
what
the
coach
told
earlier
that
she's
looking
forward
to
the
fact
that
they're
developing
together
and
so
this
entire
team
back
next
summer,
yes,
she's,
looking
forward
to
that
I,
can
see
why,
because
they
do
play
hard,
be
able
to
come
back
right
there
at
the
end,
just
came
up
short
and
again.
Miss
free
throws.
I
was.
A
C
A
I
also
would
be
surprised
that
these
two
teams
actually
made
it
to
the
championship
in
just
over
a
week
over
at
the
Reggie
Lewis
Center
folks
are
gonna.
Take
a
look
at
our
final
stats
from
this
ball
game
before
we
sign
off
here
from
the
Shelburne
community
center.
First
up
going
to
be
the
Shelburne
alpha
of.
C
Stuff
is
right:
yeah
Manley
was
11
and
then
transient
had
a
big
game
with
the
10
points.
Is
she
she
came
to
school
whenever
that
the
shell
ball
was
really
making
a
move
conceivable
to
the
middle
of
something
with
a
rebound
or
a
steal
or
Liam
rebounds,
mainly
with
with
6th
and
Trentino
with
five,
and
then
the
assists
7
assists.
Now,
if
you
score
25
points,
you
have
sickness.
C
C
F
C
Johnson
said,
with
five
points:
you
have
eight
rebounds
by
Davis
also
Paisley
had
three:
the
Davis
had
the
only
two
assists
for
the
Purcell
brand.
It's
one
of
those
situations
where
again,
young
players
make
a
gromek
mental
mistake,
does
not
make
physical
mistakes
also
Shelburne
just
made
a
few
too
many,
because
even
though
they
had
the
eight-point
need
to
stop
the
game
at
this,
it
was
enough
to
carry
them.
They,
like
you,
said
the
free
throws
really
killed
them.
Davis
I
thought
it
was
a
little
too
unselfish
as
one
of
their
better
players.
C
A
Girls
