The City of Boston holds the second HubHacks event on Saturday, March 14, 2015 and invites the community to work together to create data visualizations that will track the City's progress in achieving a thriving, healthy and innovative Boston.

So I want to welcome all of you to our second uh hub hacks event. uh This is an exciting opportunity to use data, to tell the story of boston and to help us make our amazing city work even better. These are things which.

Literally for thousands of people every day they touch as their interaction with government in boston. That might be, in fact, their only interaction with government data.

And visualization are becoming like the common language inside of city hall. It's how we talk about our work, it's how we ensure transparency, it's how we collaborate across departments and it's how we hold ourselves accountable.

Ultimately, it's about how we measure the impact that we're having for the people who live.

Impact how the city does business internally, but it will impact how services are provided.
