From YouTube: Boston Tax Coalition Kick-Off 2017
Description
Mayor Walsh attended the Boston Tax Coalition Kick-Off event at the Dorchester Health House to inform residents off free tax preparation and asset building services available to them through the city of Boston.
A
A
We
are
also
fortunate
that
we
have
counselor
in
the
gorge
with
us
today
and
she's,
also
favorite
daughter
of
Dorchester
and
a
favorite
here
at
at
da
house,
where
she's
been
on
a
reward.
We
were
going
back
and
forth
family
hears
of
this
in,
but
we
get
15
right.
The
senior
so
I'd
like
everybody,
know
well
come
on
counselor
Georgian.
B
Swallow
thank
you
all
believe.
Mr.
date
is
an
exciting
day
for
the
work
of
the
shells
done
and
learning
some
things
to
do,
and
everyone
that
does
this
work.
The
doghouse
is
an
incredible
place.
I've
been
on
the
board
for
maybe
15
years
or
so,
who
knows,
give
a
picnic
I've
been
in
case
it
for
over
40
years
and
was
also
want
the
camper
here
as
a
kid.
B
So
the
work
that
happens
here
is
what,
if
the
house
is
not
just
helped
him,
I
think
we
assume
them
just
health
care,
but
it's
really
community
health
and
this
work
that
we're
picking
locks
today
really
crude
that
it's
more
than
going
to
see
a
pediatrician
ago
in
a
city
of
primary
care
going
in
for
a
free,
iphone.
It's
community
health
and
network
is
so
important
for
me
to
be
here
today
to
support
and
applaud
and
I
fled
mayor's
here,
because
it's
still
incredibly
importance
of
Georgia
the
community
in
the
city
at
life.
A
Thanks
means
that
we
have
black
Robinson
here,
who
is
director
of
corporate
social
responsibility
for
some
there
in
this
role,
when
manages
the
bank
community
development
investments
leaves
community
involvement
overseas
charitable,
giving
when
his
works
and
community
development
for
almost
20
years,
with
schools
in
the
private
and
nonprofit
not-for-profit
sector.
So
what
would
you
like
to
join
us?
30
words,
people.
C
Saw
so
much
for
inviting
us
today
and
thank
you,
marijuana
really
appreciate
your
kind
words
and
we're
so
excited
to
be
here
today
on
nationally
icc.
Today,
quantum
there
has
been
a
partner
with
a
boston
tax,
help
to
listen
for
many
years,
and
I'm
very
excited
about
this,
because
I
actually
had
the
opportunity
to
work
with
me
me
turn
to
note
back
in
2002
2003
when
it
works
and
you
casey
Foundation
and
its
really
see
that
relationship
that
we
were
able
to
expand
our
support
this
year.
C
C
So
entrepreneurship
initiative,
which
will
help
cool
proprietors
and
small
businesses,
understand
how
tax
musing
can
be
an
opportunity
for
them
to
build
wealth,
and
then
we're
also
excited
to
help
support
the
pilot
of
Boston
phase,
which
will
be
of
Hyla
with
the
mayor's
health
savings
accounts
program,
a
number
of
other
partners
and
LD
piloted
GPS
elementary
school.
So
we're
very
proud
of
everyone
want
to
especially
say
thank
you
to
the
volunteers.
I've
been
attacked,
volunteer
myself.
C
D
D
Today
is
national
Earned,
Income,
Tax
Credit
benefit,
and
this
program
has
business
involves
one
of
40
years
ago.
The
benefit
is
crucial
to
the
success
of
moderate
and
low
income
people.
The
other
CIPC
amount
per
household
is
about
2,000
for
his
adults.
Last
year,
more
than
27
million
taxpayers
received
over
sixty
seven
billion
dollars.
Let
me
teaser
staff.
Just
for
the
state
of
Massachusetts
and
Massachusetts.
There
was
a
total
of
three
hundred
ninety
eight
thousand
recovering
with
EIC
fate,
bringing
back
830
million
dollars
p
to
the
states.
That's
a
wonderful
thing
because
it
doesn't
matter.
D
I
wanted
to
go
with
this
game
this
year,
the
Earned
Income
Tax
Credit.
We
only
any
returns
that
praying
that
prayer
or
the
advanced
child
tax
credit
and
also
the
american
opportunity.
Credit
will
not
be
processed
until
februari
15
between
that's
on
your
clients
that
they
should
expect
to
receive
their
refunds
around
februari
from
death.
The
reason
for
that
is
to
protect
and
reducing
the
amount
of
identity
theft.
D
Also,
our
taxpayer
advocate
service
department
has
recently
started
a
pilot
where
they
are
going
to
be
sending
out
educational
letters
to
taxi
or
complain
vlcc
or
we
have
folded
in
the
past
and
had
a
problem
there
for
trying
to
prevent
a
routine
issue
of
the
taxpayer,
not
be
eligible
pacific
credit
again,
I
thank
you
from
the
bottom.
Lockhart
is
john
room
agency

to
deter
connect
the
delicate
health
coalition
and
to
its
all
of
the
volunteers,
who
are
going
to
help
me
succeed
in
successful
a
million
things
and
I'll
ask
the
joint
event.
D
A
John
group,
it's
the
president
and
CEO
of
asking
for
bossman
community
development,
better
known
as
a
BCG.
We
had
a
lovely
conversation
before
and
I'm
going
to
convince
John
to
get
a
membership
at
the
pool
right,
the
best
our
house
and
every
lagoon
Loretta.
Okay,
it's
the
ABCD,
as
most
of
you
know
the
largest
community
action
agency
in
the
region
that
serves
over
a
hundred
thousand
individuals
each
year.
Abc
is
also
one
of
the
long-standing
partners
in
the
tax
Health
coalition
and
they
provide
free
tax
prep
at
eleven
community
locations
across
the
city.
E
D
D
E
E
E
They
is
an
administration
and
the
new
Congress
functions
that
this
works,
that
people
do
get
that
a
kiss
to
a
friendly
sweater.
The
benefits
are
multiple.
You
all
know
that
I'm
talking
in
trick
down
there.
We
got
to
make
sure
that
nobody
touches
this
program.
I
want
to
thank
the
state,
McGovern
ER
and
the
legislature
for
increasing
the
state
side
of
the
eitc.
E
Because
ditc
works
and
it
works
for
people
who
work
on
trying
to
put
together
a
household
income
is,
can
live
on
working
had
just
barely
made
the
I
key.
She
gives
you
that
in
the
child
tester
I've
seen
it
I
mean,
let's
check,
comes
in
the
eyes.
That's
right,
you
feel
real
reason.
I
can
be
the
time
for
sure
I
can
get
my
child
for
sneaking
of
the
last
loop
I
can
pay.
My
I
can't
pay.
My
I
can
I
am
able
to
take
care
of
my
family.
E
E
We
collectively
across
the
country
would
like
and
taken
a
lot
of
businesses
because
when
they
were
doing
it
before
and
now
the
free
becomes
$350
to
return.
The
fantasy
country
they're
in
business
they're
gonna
be
in
business,
but
I
would
say
you
should
congratulate
you
solve
it
in
rhody
else,
because
the
success
here
is
that
we
have
HTML
block
spending
a
lot
of
money
on
TV
with
your
hands.
To
tell
you
please
come
back
to
them.
It's
free,
a
suffering
but
I'm,
not
in
the
business
of
knocking
anybody.
E
F
E
F
E
The
way
we'll
give
you
the
money
today
at
eighteen
percent
in
drug
deal
made
a
big
difference
collectively,
in
my
opinion,
this
program
in
a
lot
of
different
ways.
So,
let's
keep
it
up
or
so
find
all
those
folks
who
are
hiding
out
there
have
been
getting
yet
and
as
much
as
the
IRS
is
holding
up.
That
should
not
be
a
reflection.
I
hope
is
not
a
reflection
on
the
integrity
of
the
vitae
program.
E
The
bio
program
is
like
almost
a
hundred
percent
effective
in
getting
validation
attention
to
the
system,
so
we're
paying
a
price
for
some
returns.
An
answer,
but
you'll
have
to
wait
that
week
or
two,
but
that's
no
reflection
on
what
you
do.
What
we
do
and
collaborating
with
the
IRS
will
think
its
opinion.
Thank
You
me
a
wall
Shuar
you
my
hero
today
and
my
challenge
evacuate
a
big
sign
the
other
day
on
the
column
and
all
the
keep
keep
on
and
all
those
be
able
to
help
people
just
what
we
do.
E
F
A
Today
he
grew
up
in
Dorchester
and
has
come
to
the
da
housecat
site
for
many
years,
keeps
accompanying
her
mother
here
and
has
gotten
her
taxes
done
here
as
well.
This
year
shall
be
volunteering
as
a
financial
guy
at
da
house
and,
quite
honestly,
he
would
be
hard-pressed
to
serve
as
many
people
as
he
do
without
volunteers
like
susanna
horse
so
dedicated
to
serving
their
communities
susanna.
We
have
you
join
us
for
anything
there.
She
has
who
moved
on,
but
he
was
over.
There.
A
F
A
lot
more
people
that
I
thought
they
were
going
to
be
cool
hi
everyone,
my
name
is
sue
I
was
born
and
raised
in
Dorchester
and
growing
up.
My
parents
were
immigrants
and
they
believed
in
the
value
of
hard
work
and
trying
their
best
8,
trying
the
best
in
the
jobs
that
they
had
so
I
could
focus
on
school.
My
mother
earned
very
little
as
a
waitress.
She
would
wake
up
at
six
in
the
morning
work
until
six
at
night
and
she
always
made
sure
that
there
was
dinner
on
the
table
more
days
and
not.
F
She
would
then
leave
after
dinner
to
work
overtime
shift
at
well
until
midnight.
She
did
this
six
days
a
week
for
over
15
years
in
hopes
that
I
could
get
an
education
to
hopefully
live
and
he's
your
life
than
she
did.
Making
my
use
difficult
thanks
to
her
at
an
early
age,
I
understood
the
value
of
money
and
the
security
it
provides
for
the
people
that
you
love
in
the
form
of
a
warm
house
and
a
place
to
sleep.
F
My
mother
tried
to
save
as
much
as
she
could
so
that
whenever
I
needed
school
supplies
for
MVP,
a
fair
I've
had
the
tools
of
the
means
to
get
to
school,
to
learn
all
I
could
when
I
got
my
first
paid
internship
in
high
school
I
was
a
Fed,
can
help
my
family
around
the
house
with
Renkin
food
I.
Remember
in
the
summer
internship
that
I
had
in
three
months
I
made
three
times
with
my
mother,
made
in
a
year
I
thought
to
myself.
F
And,
of
course,
how
fortunate
I
was
to
have
parents
that
worked
so
hard
and
cared
so
much
for
me?
Well,
not
here
ended
I
had
no
idea
how
to
do.
My
taxes
were
shot
at
managing
my
finances.
So
my
mother
took
me
to
Dorchester
house
with
the
help
of
Boston
tax
help.
We
both
got
our
taxes
done
free
of
charge
and
even
got
some
financial
advice
on
what
to
be
with
a
refund.
F
Now,
don't
worry,
my
mother,
but
the
rest
of
my
family
and
even
some
of
my
friends
to
be
advantage
of
the
tax,
prep
and
financial
services
that
were
offered
by
the
program
once
a
year
comes
to
a
close
and
everyone's
w
qs
came,
and
everyone
asked:
how
are
you
getting
your
taxes
done?
I
have
no
idea.
What
do
I
would
always
recommend
the
tax
services
offer
here
and
brought
along
friends
and
family
to
get
him
squared
away.
F
That's
for
a
few
years,
a
graduate
from
college
in
2014
and
I
work
full-time
at
a
software
company
in
Cambridge,
where
my
degree
came
in
the
mail
holding
it
with
my
mother's
pride
and
joy.
She
was
rushed
into
bed
and
got
up
and
gave
me
a
hug
and
told
me
I'm
so
proud
of
you.
My
mother,
passed
away
from
terminal
cancer
left
here
at
the
end
of
august,
I,
remember
hiding
her
room
when
she
passed
away
I'm,
seeing
a
bunch
of
hash
symbol
of
feeding
set.
F
F
I
want
to
thank
constants
for
asking
me
to
come
in
and
use
feedback
on
how
the
financial
will
check
up
to
the
improved
for
the
feature
and
I
could
not
be
more
thankful
for
all
the
coordinators,
supporters
and
volunteers
that
helped
thousands
of
people
that
get
their
taxes
done
here
and
all
across
Boston
every
year,
and
I'm
glad
I
can
also
volunteer
some
of
my
time
as
a
financial
guy.
This
tax
season
I
imagine
most
people
think
of
taxes
of
a
necessary
chore
that
needs
to
get
done
at
the
beginning
of
every
new
year.
F
But
at
least
for
me,
a
lot
of
friends
I,
know
and
to
my
mother
had
helped
a
lot.
We
have
provided
with
tax,
preparers
and
accessible
financial
help
that
we
wouldn't
know
where
to
eat,
otherwise,
which
sometimes
can
be
hard
to
find
on
top
of
everything.
Life
throws
at
you,
so
I
want
to
say
thank
you
for
making
one
of
life's
Nestor's
towards
a
little
easier
to
do.
Thank
you
so
much.
A
D
A
Today,
and
so
we
really
appreciate
their
efforts,
as
well
as
the
ongoing
support
of
our
board
members,
who
we
have
several
hear
echoes
da
house
today.
So
with
wonderful
video
stuff,
like
our
mayor
and
the
power
of
the
partnerships
that
we
have
in
this
room,
I
know
that
he'll
ever
to
be
a
phenomenal.
