B
A
Us
at
the
outside,
but
weather,
wasn't
cooperating
anyway
and
welcome
to
project
place
and
I
want
to
just
thank
mayor
Walsh
for
making
the
time
out
of
his
busy
schedule
to
be
here.
But
I
also
want
to
thank
him
because
only
time
we
cheer
like
the
mayor's
coming,
the
building
gets
really
clean.
So
I
just.
A
Again,
we
have
a
small
role
here,
but
I
just
want
to
share
that
my
partner's
Jenny,
Efron
and
and
where's
Kourtney,
Oh,
Kourtney
and
Kourtney
ho
both
from
Washington
gateway,
main
streets
in
Chinatown
main
streets
have,
along
with
their
board
members,
and
many
of
you
in
this
room,
along
with
the
city
of
Boston,
have
supported
a
partnership
with
project
place
over
the
decades
and
I'm.
Thinking
of
that,
because
project
place
is
turning
50
and
I've,
been
here
for
22
years
of
those
50
years
and
I
can
call
you.
A
C
You
suzanne
and
thank
you
as
well
as
alan
and
guys
at
clean
corners
right
hopes.
An
all
project
place
were
really
excited
about
this
partnership,
Thank
You
mayor
Walsh,
for
being
here
to
celebrate
and
recognize
how
important
this
actually
is
and
on
behalf
of
washing
gateway,
Main
Street
I'm
really
proud
to
be
here
and
to
be
part
of
this
project.
C
Since
the
work
started
in
the
fall,
we've
been
getting
really
positive
feedback
from
residents
and
business
owners
alike,
and
they
can
really
see
the
difference
that
the
community
effort
has
made
with
the
staff
of
one
in
our
organization
and
a
really
fantastic
volunteer
board
of
directors
and
committee
members
were
able
to
leverage
the
city's
support
and
make
really
tangible
improvements
in
our
neighborhood.
We
were
really
grateful
for
our
sponsors
from
our
annual
benefit.
At
neckties
this
year
we
were
really
able
to
up
the
funds
to
make
this
project
come
to
life.
C
National
development,
stonegate
group
UDR,
a
video
base
and
mine
cast.
We
hope
you
continue
this
work
from
continued
support
from
our
friends
and
neighbors
and
sponsors,
and
we're
also
happy
to
stand
here
with
our
main
streets
neighbor
over
in
Chinatown,
and
hope
that
our
successes
will
encourage
our
fellow
main
streets
organizations
to
follow
suit,
and
hopefully
we
can
just
have
neighborhood
after
neighborhood
of
partnerships
like
this,
that
really
make
a
difference.
A
D
I
had
a
small
conversation
with
them.
Ted
ties
from
Inc
welcome.
He
sends
his
regards
and
assess
hoping
for
more
partnerships
in
the
future.
Chinatown
is
on
every
visitors
map.
With
that
being
said,
we
strive
every
day
to
make
the
district
vibrant
Chinatown
main
street
in
project
place,
has
over
12
years
of
working
together.
Funding
for
this
partnership,
Chinatown
main
street
in
project
place,
comes
from
a
grant
proposal
submitted
by
chinatown,
Main,
Street
and
sponsors
by
very
various
developments
in
around
Chinatown
hundred.
A
D
Of
the
grants
received
by
chinatown
went
directly
towards
project
place
for
the
outdoor
maintenance.
Our
key
sponsors
made
this
particular
project
possible
from
Inc
Los
developments.
There
is
a
team
of
men
that
collects
its
trash
around
Chinatown
about
10
bags
per
week.
Also
they
pick
up
several
syringes
around
the
neighborhood.
They
don't
not
only
value
their
jobs,
but
they've
take
pride
in
it
and
being
in
improving
their
neighborhood.
It's
the
true
effort
and
benefits.
B
Nervous
but
I'm
I
do
appreciate
all
the
contracts
we
got
and
she's
already
hoping
a
lot
of
people
on
you
know.
I
got
my
guys
here
now:
I've
moved
being
homeless,
been
from
incarcerated,
being
homeless
and
everything
on
people
told
me
on.
You
know:
I
found
project
place
to
somebody
else
that
was
here
and
I.
Can
they
didn't
just
open
that
door?
They
open
their
arms
and
then
I'm
see
I'm
styling
in
emotion,.
D
B
Help
me
out,
you
know
they.
I
was
like
a
little
kid,
not
normal,
to
go
and
they
helped
me
out
a
lot
and
I've
been
here
for
14
years
and
now
you
know
I
got
my
kids.
I
got
my
you
know
my
god.
Everybody
touched
my
whole
family
choices.
No,
no!
It
wasn't
for
this
place.
I
don't
know
where
be
you
know.
I
want
to
speak
too
much
about
then
I'm
I'm.
B
To
get
too
emotional,
but
this
place
changed
my
life
and
you
know
I
appreciate
everybody
by
my
eyes
are
big
enough:
a
hug
everybody
right!
No,
but
I'm
this
place
will
change
your
life.
You
know
you
just
know
you
just
got
like
Manila
Cass
Boulevard!
Do
it
when
I
do
manila
cast
bulova
I,
do
it
and
I
see
people
that
I
know
that
I
grew
up
with
and
not
go
solve,
and
it
hurts
me
that
you
know
but
I
send
them
all
over
him.
Some
of
them
come
over
and
they'd
be
like
yo
yeah.
A
B
E
Come
to
you
in
your
cool!
Thank
you
thank
you,
for
you
do
every
single
day
here
in
the
city
like
really
appreciate
it.
We
all
appreciate
all
of
us
something
thank
you
and
I
certainly
believe
in
second
chances
for
everyone
as
well.
So
if
not
I
wouldn't
be
here
myself
to
joel's
to
the
end.
Thank
you
very
much
for
having
hosting
us
today.
E
I'll
do
that
here.
I
want
to
give
a
couple
shutouts
as
I
go
around
the
list
here:
Jennifer
and
Courtney.
You
know
not
just
this
partnership
here,
but
what
you
do
every
day
for
me
and
she's
programs
and
thank
you
because
I'm
intrusive,
the
cornerstone
of
our
businesses
in
Boston.
So
thank
you
as
well.
You
both
you
and
your
boards
for
the
great
work
you
do.
I.
A
E
E
We're
joined
by
John,
Barros
chief
of
economic
development
of
series,
where
Alan
Jim
Green
is
here
and
steve
is
hears
from
a
tree,
so
we
have
a
lot
of
great
people
here.
So
thank
you.
Everyone
here,
that's
here
clean
corners
and
bright
hopes
is
a
proven
partnership
in
our
neighborhood.
The
fact
that
we
expanded
you
expanded.
It
makes
a
big
difference
for
us.
E
You
know:
oftentimes
people
will
see
homeless
folks
as
as
a
problem
and
they're,
not
they're
valuable,
valuable
resources
in
our
city,
their
people
and
the
fact
that
this
this
great
organization
is
here
doing
great
things
in
our
city.
I
want
to
thank.
You
is
turning
50
I'm
turning
50,
so
you
know
we're
still
young
so.
E
D
E
Know
it's
great
to
see
Washington
Street
gateway
up
to
Chinatown,
being
cleaned
and
revitalized.
We
are
a
changin
City
and
we're
going
to
continue
to
adapt
to
the
change
that
we
see
in
our
city
every
single
day.
It's
how
we
keep
the
character
of
our
idiom
and
we
also
not
proud
of
my
remarks.
But
on
the
homeless
front,
what
we've
been
able
to
do
in
the
last
two
years
is:
we've
been
able
to
house
a
thousand,
nearly
1100,
chronically
homeless
people
in
the
city
of
Boston.
We
started
without
chronically
homeless
veterans,
which
we
ended.
E
Chronic
veterans,
homelessness
in
2015,
I,
told
us
and
chronic
homelessness
in
2018.
We
have
a
system
in
place
now,
when
long
island
bridge
closed,
there
was
a
lot
of
criticism
that
was
flying
around
about
closing
it,
and
you
know
we
weren't
taking
homeless
folks
off
the
street
and
bring
him
up
down
that
night.
We
weren't
bringing
it
back
on
the
daytime,
so
people
saw
homelessness
every
single
day
up
front
and
four
years.
E
There
was
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
criticism,
but
what's
been
able
to
happen
because
of
organizational
a
project
place
and
all
of
the
different
nonprofits
coming
together,
we
have
a
system.
Now
we
have
a
system
in
place
to
get
people
into
housing,
we're
working
on,
creating
more
housing,
more
housing
for
homeless
people
when
I,
say
housing,
island
with
dignity,
housing
with
a
a
kitchen
in
a
living
room
in
the
dining
room
and
a
bathroom
in
a
bed
and
furniture.
We're
doing
that
we're
doing
more
and
more
of
that
every
day.
E
So,
as
we
continue
to
make
sure
the
streets
are
clean
and
make
sure
our
streets
clean
source
with
dignity,
also
making
sure
that
we
create
more
opportunities
for
people
that
housing
that
we're
not
going
to
stop
we're
going
to
continue
to
move
forward,
we're
in
the
midst
of
one
of
the
largest
economic
booms
in
the
history
of
our
city.
A
lot
of
people
are
benefiting
from
that
economic
cool,
but
not
everyone
is,
and
we
have
to
make
sure
that
we
we
help
everyone
with
an
economic
woman.
E
It's
so
important
our
goals,
certainly
to
make
sure
that
every
neighborhood
streets
well
maintained,
cleaned
up
landscaping
is
there
and
this
public
on
it.
But
it's
also
important
for
us
that
when
we
see
people
we
don't
walk
over
them.
We
put
our
arm
around
them
and
help
them
into
into
up
into
an
opportunity
for
housing.
Helping
me
to
not
feel
like
this
place.
E
That's
the
job
training
every
time
I
come
in
here,
I
walk
in,
and
somebody
grabs
me
and
I
can
I
get
a
helping
hand
with
the
building
trades
that
can
I
get
handed
with
something
for
a
job.
The
folks
that
come
here
ready
to
go
to
work.
What
we
have
to
do
provide
them
at
that
opportunity.
Yeah
they
might
have
a
record
yeah.
They
might
have
done
time
yeah,
they
might
add
drug
addiction
using
my
husband
to
help,
but
we
we
owe
it
to
them.
E
We
always
seem
to
make
sure
that
we
help
people
get
back
on
their
feet.
If
they
said
earlier,
I
mean
I
get
a
second
chance.
A
lot
of
us
in
this
room
get
second
chances
in
life.
Not
everyone
almost
went
to
jail,
but
none
of
us
know
people
to
jail
when
they
come
out.
We
have
to
be
assistant
to
them
and
that's
what
we're
talking
about
today,
the
job
training,
the
second
chance
getting
the
job
done
so
I'm
completely
off
of
this.
E
E
We
can't
cut
the
first
of
all
up
into
the
oven
in
politics
20
years
and
it's
very
difficult
to
cut
your
way
out
of
a
financial
problem,
meaning
cut
programs,
because
every
time
you
cut
a
program
in
a
section
of
the
program
and
as
I
said
earlier
with
the
press
conference
last
week,
you
know
I
gave
the
I
give
the
president
kudos
and
two
things
one
is
you
put
money
mo
money
into
veterans
and
they
put
my
money
into
opioid
addiction,
which
is
great
I.
Thank
them
for
that.
E
However,
all
the
other
programs
that
a
veteran
needs
or
somebody
that's
coming
off-
drugs
and
alcohol,
housing,
fuel
assistance,
Meals
on
Wheels,
all
those
other
programs
need
to
be
funded
as
well,
because
we
can't
help
them
on
one
side
and
then
take
everything
away
on
the
other
side.
So
it's
an
honor
for
me
to
be
here
today
and
I
want
to
just
thank
thank
you
for
your
great
work.
Thank
you
for
you
do
for
our
city
and
thank
the
two
main
street
districts
that
are
helpful.
