Mayor Walsh's Office of Neighborhood Services is here to serve the needs of you the residents. We represent you in all aspects of city government. These reports are presented to keep you informed about the issues and events in your neighborhood. This week we focus on the neighborhoods of Chinatown, Downtown Crossing, and the Leather District.

Chiefs
have
just
celebrated
city
of
Boston's
311
systems,
one
year
anniversary,
and
we
would
like
to
encourage
residents
and
business
owners
to
continue
using
the
system
now
by
dialing
311.
You
you'll
be
connected
by
phone
with
the
city
of
Boston's
24
hours,
seven
days
a
week
by
using
this
non-emergency
number,
you
can
report
graffiti
burnt
doll,
street
lights,
miss
trash
and
more
quality
of
life
issues
immediately
over
the
phone.

short,
easy
to
remember
number
is
a
great
way
to
connect
with
the
city.
When
you
see
something,
please
say
something
so
that
one
of
our
city
departments
can
follow
up
and
respond
accordingly,

Chinatown
main
streets
plan
on
beginning
to
holiday
festivities,

traditional
lion,
dance
performance
and
caroling

songs,
light
roof.

enjoy.

on
november
nineteenth,
the
china,
the
southeast
coalition
of
worcester
seac
and
the
chinatown
main
streets
of
Boston
are
proud
to
host
the
2016
New
England
lion
dance
competition.

The
competition
aims
to
bring
together
talented
lion,
dance
troupes
from
New
England,
to
strengthen
community
bonding
and
to
spread
the
knowledge
and
spirit
of
lion
dancing.
The
first
local
New,
England
lion,
dance
competition
was
hosted
five
years
ago
in
western
mass
by
bow
Newgate
and
fat
nuyen.
The
outcome
and
feedback
went
beyond
what
they
expected
and
it
soon
became
their
mission
to
harness
that
energy
and
build
a
compassionate
and
positive
community
through
lion
dancing,
as
well
as
spreading
awareness
of
Asian
culture
through
line
dancing.

The
community
of
2016
comprises
many
unique
individuals
from
diverse
array
of
backgrounds.
It
helps
you
local
line,
dance
organizations
and
teams
from
and
replaces
former
rivalries
with
a
friendly
competitive
spirit.
It
also
provides
the
local
youth
with
not
just
fundamentals
of
lion
dancing,
but
also
the
drive
for
self-improvement
and
self-empowerment
and
the
safe
space
for
these
use
to
grow.
The
competition
is
free
mission
from
ten
a.m.

until
6pm
at
Josiah
Quincy
School
gymnasium
at
885,
watching
history
with
a
great
nine-course
meal
that
cost
fifty
dollars
per
ticket
to
follow
at
Empire,
a
garden
restaurant
at
six.
Ninety
Washington,
Street,
no
boston
common
tree
arrives
on
November,
eighteenth
and
the
lighting
will
be
held
on
December
first.
This
is
the
official
city
of
Boston
tree
right
here
in
our
neighborhood.
The
Frog
Pond
rink
is
scheduled
to
be
open
prior
to
dance,
giving
depending
on
the
weather
and
the
new
renovated
tot
lot
of
Taitung
Park
is
completed.

have
a
partnership
with
Emerson
College
through
arts
Emerson,
which
has
many
performances
ranging
from
Hamlet
to
award-winning.
