From YouTube: OPAT Commission Public Meeting - 1/26/2023
Description
Recording of the OPAT Commission's public meeting held in person and recorded on Thursday, January 26th, 2023
A
Right
so
good
morning,
everyone
and
thank
you
all
for
joining
the
OPAC
commission's
public
meeting.
I
am
Stephanie
Everett.
The
executive
director
of
The
Office
of
police,
accountability
and
transparency
get
my
words
together.
This
morning,
I'm
joined
this
morning
by
my
two
fellow
Commissioners,
chair
of
the
civilian
review
board,
Attorney
Peter
Alvarez
and
chair
of
the
internal
affairs
oversight
panel.
A
Attire
judge,
Leslie
Harris.
Thank
you
both
for
joining
today.
Thank
you.
So
we
have
turned
on
the
zoom's,
auto
captioning.
Each
person
who
is
in
attendance
will
need
to
opt
in
to
see
these
captions.
A
The
way
that
you
do,
that
is
by
selecting,
live
transcript
button
on
the
toolbar
at
the
bottom
of
your
Zoom
screen.
I.
Believe
that's!
If
you
are
on
your
desktop,
if
you're
on
your
phone,
you
will
need
to
locate
it
on
your
phone
and
the
OPEC
staff
will
put
information
on
how
to
do
that
in
our
chat,
so
that
you
can
do
that
as
well.
A
If
any
of
the
members
of
the
public
are
having
any
difficulties
hearing
or
seeing
this
meeting
please
reach
out
to
us,
you
can
do
so
by
sending
us
a
quick
email
at
opat
boards.
So
it's
our
acronym.
Oh,
he
isn't
Paul
a
is
an
apple
T
is
in
Toms
boards
with
an
s
at
boston.gov,
and
our
staff
will
create
a
transcript
for
you
so
that
you
can
participate
in
this
meeting
completely
and
today
we
do
have
a
short
agenda
for
public
and
that's
because
we
will
be
going
into
an
executive
session.
A
Do
we
have
any
business
that
anyone
wants
to
bring
up
in
the
public
session
before
we
do
move-in
to
the
executive
session?
No,
no
all
right
haven't
heard.
None
is
there
a
motion
to
move
I
believe
that
we
go
to
Executive
session
seconded
okay,
so
the
executive
session
is
being
called
in
order
to
discuss
strategies
on
matters
pending
before
the
boards
and
discussion
of
which
in
public
session
could
have
implications
on
ongoing
contract
negotiations.
A
The
OPAC
commission
will
not
vote
on
any
of
these
cases
or
any
of
these
matters
there's
no
cases
I
mean
it
is
matters
and
executive
session.
The
commission
will
close
its
public
meeting
and
we
will
not
convene
back
today
unless
there
is
something
that
we
need
to
convene
back,
for
which
I
doubt
so.
