A
A
C
B
Buddy,
let
me
just
stop
by
thanking
the
captain
in
his
great
work
in
the
service
office.
Here,
EA
t
feel
great
work.
I
want
to
thank
the
community
for
coming
out
today.
This
is
an
exciting
day
in
the
city
of
Boston
and
we'll
get
to
that.
In
a
few
minutes,
I
want
to
acknowledge
a
few
of
the
elected
officials
that
are
with
us
today.
We
have
city
council,
Michael
Flaherty's
with
us
Thank
You
councillor,
Flaherty
he's
coming
up
this
way:
city,
councilor,
Aneesh,
rossabi
George's
with
us
Thank
You
councillor
George
just
make
our
way
up.
B
B
B
First,
as
your
district
city
councilor,
and
then
he
went
on
to
become
the
district
attorney
in
Suffolk
County
history
was
going
to
look
back
on
his
tenure
as
District
Attorney
and
show
some
incredible
work
that
he
has
done
and
he's
winding
down
his
tenure
now
and
I'd
like
to
just
introduce
and
say
hello
to
district
attorney,
Dan
Connolly.
Thank
you.
Dan.
B
B
In
case
you
haven't
heard
my
cock's
celebrating
the
hundred
fiftieth
anniversary
this
year
and
there's
been
some
amazing
events
in
Hyde
Park
I
want
to
thank
everyone.
Thank
Michelle
in
Steve
for
his
great
work.
Scott
should
be
for
his
great
work
and
all
the
people
in
the
committee
I
want
to
thank
Robin,
Hickey
director
of
Boston
Center
view
the
families
Roberts
in
some
way,
Thank
You
Robin,
you
don't
work
in
Steve
Nelson
from
the
lines
and
hypocrisy
and
thank
you.
Steve
do
great
work,
the
Boston
Police
Foundation
for
their
work
as
well.
B
Just
a
couple
of
stats
I
want
to
run
by
in
this
district
over
the
last.
As
of
this
just
for
this
year,
top
one
crime
in
High,
Park
is
down.
12%
robberies
are
down,
20%
residential
burglary
is
down
51%.
Those
are
good
numbers
and
I
want
to
thank
the
officers
in
the
community
and
the
community
crime
watches
for
all
that
work.
That
doesn't
happen
by
by
just
one
area.
B
It
happens
by
everyone
working
together
in
the
neighborhood
I
want
to
thank
you
for
the
great
work
you've
done
in
the
neighborhood
to
make
the
neighborhood
safe
I
do
want
to
just
put
one
notice
out
to
everybody.
Watch
o'the
is
there's
a
local
scam
going
on
door-to-door
sales
people
claiming
lower
electrical
bills.
That's
an
out-of-state
scam!
So
if
you
can
just
pass
that
along
to
your
neighborhoods,
if
anyone
approaches
your
home
to
tell
you
that,
there's
a
better
way
to
reduce,
reduce
your
you
know
your
interest
to
develop,
don't
listen
to
them.
B
D
B
Something
else
here,
sorry,
mr.
bishopman
mister.
We
have
an
attorney
general
in
the
Commonwealth
of
Massachusetts.
That
has
spent
an
awful
lot
of
time
in
the
last
24
months,
protecting
our
residents
here
in
Massachusetts
and
across
the
United
States
of
America
against
some
of
the
hurtful
policies
put
down
by
Washington
and
I'd
like
to
thank
Maura
Healey
from
standing
out
first
and
fighting
for
us
across
the
United
States
of
America.
She
is
I
would
say
she
is
the
leading
Attorney
General
United
States
of
America
anytime
I
talk
to
other
people
from
other
states.
B
B
B
B
Today,
today
in
the
City
of
Austin,
as
you
start,
if
you
saw
it
on
TV,
but
we
had
a
change
in
leadership
at
the
Boston
Police
Department,
it
actually
happened.
On
Saturday.
We
had
a
commissioner
Billy
Evans,
who
was
with
us
for
five
years
and
an
incredible
job
of
the
city
leading
us
through
some
some
great
difficult
times
set
records
as
far
as
reducing
number
of
arrests
in
the
cities
that
records,
as
far
as
as
far
as
working
on
lowering
the
client
and
he
had
a
partner.
B
And
I
said
this
earlier:
if
you
don't
know,
chief
bross,
all
you
have
to
do
is
look
at
his
smile
he's
a
person,
that's
respected
by
the
police
department,
he's
a
person
that
respected
by
the
community.
He
worked
his
way
through
the
police
department
to
get
to
the
spot
he's
at
today.
He
started
as
a
cadet.
We
have
a
lot
of
young
cadets
here
today
he
became
a
police
officer.
B
He
was
the
knight
commander
in
the
city
for
many
many
years,
the
superintendent
of
pretended
he
was
appointed
by
Commissioner
Evans
in
the
chief
of
Department,
and
he
was
the
the
best
decision
that
was
made
to
replace
Commissioner
Evans
is
the
replacement
Commissioner,
William,
Ross
and
I'd
like
to
say
this
is
the
first
time
publicly
we're
gonna
acknowledge
him,
but
technology
of
Brighton.
So
this
is
the
first
time
in
Hyde,
Park
I'm
gonna
call
Jim
I
like
to
bring
up
to
the
stage
the
new
Commission
of
the
Boston
Police
Department,
the
42nd
omission
Commission.
E
I'm
just
so
proud
to
serve
in
this
capacity
from
somewhere
that
somebody
doesn't
forget
where
they
came
from
and
that's
from
the
community.
Folks,
like
you
raised
me,
and
so
it's
an
honor
to
be
a
law
enforcement
officer
here
in
the
Commonwealth
of
Massachusetts
uh-oh.
Are
you
cutting
me
up?
Wait
a
minute.
I
wasn't
gonna
rap
I
swear
what
I
want
to.
E
Thank
you,
the
people
for
what
you
do
this
is
your
night
National
Night,
Out,
you're,
being
recognized
for
something
that
you
day
in
and
day
out,
you
look
out
for
each
of
them
in
the
community,
so
it's
recognized
tonight,
but
this
is
something
that
you
do
on
a
daily
basis,
also
on
its
Thank
You,
Attorney,
General,
District,
Attorney
and
all
of
our
state
and
local
elected
officials.
Thank
God,
you
never
forget
where
you
came
from
and
that
you're
here
to
serve
the
people.
E
E
F
F
F
F
I
know
a
lot
of
bad
happening
out
in
the
world
a
lot
of
reasons
to
be
scared,
especially
when
it
comes
to
the
violence
but
I
take
heart
looking
around
tonight
and
knowing
that
all
of
you
are
out
there
on
the
front
lines
fighting
for
peace,
fighting
for
justice
and
making
our
communities
healthier
and
safer
god
bless
you.
God
bless
your
families
and
God
bless
hi
Park.
D
Well,
Commissioner
Rothman,
the
new
Commissioner
Rothman
says
it
takes
a
village.
Well,
this
is
my
village.
These
are
the
people
who
raised
me.
These
are
people
who
raised
me
up
so
I
want
to
thank
you
all
very
much
because
it
wasn't
for
the
dear
old
people
at
Hyde,
Park
I'm,
sure
I
wouldn't
be
standing
here,
whether
it
was
the
sisters
from
say,
neoscope,
the
little
league
coaches
over
here,
the
hockey
coaches
over
on
Turtle
Pond
Parkway.
All
of
you
have
been
such
an
important
part
of
my
life
and
I
want
to
say.
D
Thank
you
very
much
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
This
is
going
to
be
it
for
me,
but
this
is
the
25th
time
I've
come
to
National,
Night,
Out
I.
Think
that's
enough.
Don't
you
think
yeah
I
think
this
is
the
hottest
of
all
25
nights.
Listen!
It's
it's
been
my
honor
and
privilege
the
privilege
of
a
lifetime
to
serve
as
District
Attorney.
You
know
those
of
us
who
lived
in
this
city
for
most
of
our
lives,
our
entire
lives.
We
know
what
Boston
was
like
in
1970
in
1980
in
the
early
1990s.
D
The
Boston
today
pays.
No
resemblance
whatsoever
to
that
time,
and
anyone
who
tells
you
that
we
are
less
safe
today
than
we
were
then
is
not
telling
you
the
truth,
so
support
your
police,
support
your
prosecutors
and
support
your
community
organizations
that
have
made
Boston
the
safest,
big
city
in
America.
Thank
you
all
very
much
and
thank
you
for
your
support
and
now
it's
my
pleasure
to
introduce
on
my
Parker
as
well.
Our
sheriff
here
see.
G
G
Would
you
agree
with
me
on
that
and
now
that
we
have,
as
the
mayor
mentioned,
crime
going
down
arrests
going
down
when
he
and
others
are
working
on
now
is
getting
our
arms
around
the
homelessness
situation
and
the
opiates
situation
both
are
crucially
important
and
we're
going
to
need
the
help
of
the
community
folk
to
make
sure
that
we
can
arrest.
What's
going
on
with
homelessness
and
opiates,
will
you
help
us
out
with
that
I.
G
Just
wanted
to
say
thanks
for
coming
out:
I
am
ultra
pleased
with
the
diversity
of
people
that
I
see
here,
which
shows
me
that
this
is
a
very
vibrant
community.
Our
differences
are
on
strengths
and
each
and
every
one
of
you
play
an
important
part
to
making
this
a
very
strong
community.
Thank
you
so
very
much
for
having
me
today
and
I
believe
now.
We've
got
councillor
yes,
councillor.
H
I'll
be
real,
quick
cause,
it's
like
9,000
degrees
out
of
here,
and
everybody
just
wants
to
get
back
to
music
and
pizza
and
ice
cream.
But
I
want
to
thank
a
couple.
People
I've,
always
loved
the
people
who
work
from
the
ground.
The
people
who
are
on
the
ground
doing
the
work
and
that's
captain
Gillespie
and
Sergeant
MacDonald
officer,
Connolly
and
officer
Broderick
and
survey
attorney
McKim
well
go
to
hundreds
and
hundreds
and
hundreds
a
year
hearing
what
we
have
to
say
to
them,
making
sure
that
our
place
is
safe.
H
Talking
about
something
that's
going
on,
whether
it's
speeding,
whether
it's
traffic,
whether
it's
a
needle
found
or
some
activity
that
needs
to
be
taken
care
of,
and
nobody
is
better
in
my
opinion
than
the
Boston
Police
Department
in
their
community
police
services.
So
I
definitely
want
to
thank
Danny
Colleen
for
all
of
his
service.
Even
though
he's
way
older
than
I
am
all
the
same.
People
like
that
raised
him
raised
me
too
right
here,
cops
treat
us
an
answer.
So
thank
you
very
much
and
good
luck.
E
A
The
first
award
is
a
little
sad.
As
the
mayor
mentioned
earlier
for
Bobby
Baxter.
We
unfortunately
lost
father
in
April.
Anybody
that
knew
anything
about
Barbara
knew
how
dedicated
she
was.
She
was
in
every
organization
in
this
neighborhood
I'll.
Just
read
off
a
few.
She
went
to
the
High
Park
Pierce
Street
Fairmount
Hill
native
Association
East
River,
refill
haibach
High
Park
Board
of
Trade.
She
was
the
president
of
the
High
Park
Neighborhood
Association,
since
Ronald
Reagan
was
president
so
yeah
she
survived
six
different
presidents.
She
was
awesome.
She
was
someone
who
never
judged
anybody.
A
She
was
dedicated
to
what
she
did
and
she
single-handedly
cleaned
up.
The
Neponset
River
I
mean
every
year
on
Saturday
in
May.
She
would
be
down
there
pulling
out
shopping
carts,
all
kinds
of
trash
and
she
invited
people
down.
Some
people
came
some
didn't,
but
every
year
bob
was
there
and
she
did
it
and
I
can't
tell
you
what
a
loss
it
was
for
us
in
the
community,
from
the
neighborhood
watch
section
of
it
and
just
from
people
in
the
neighborhood
who
loved
Barbara
and
I
want
to
thank
her
daughter,
Jill
for
being
here.
Grandchild.
A
So
if
I
wasn't
meeting
regularly
for
the
past
30
years,
she
started
with
Mayor
Flynn.
When
the
neighborhood
watch
group
crime
watch
group
began
more
than
a
crime
watch,
cleanest
assistant,
neighbors
and
navigating
city
systems,
conflict
resolution
and
guarding
major
developments
intact
in
this
small
community.
Some
of
the
issues
that
they
worked
on
were
working
with
developers
at
the
Shops
at
River
work
to
ensure
that
responsible
businesses
and
businesses
are
copying.
A
The
spaces
they're
working
with
the
administration
of
Wapping
Boston
preparatory
shot,
a
school
site
for
an
expansion
and
Levy
ate
the
impact
on
River
Street
working
with
power
on
the
Doyle
playground.
She
participated:
the
Southwest
Boston
CDC
boss,
the
water
and
sewer
department
watershed
the
DCR
to
create
a
healthy
and
upon
sir
tripper
the
flows
through
their
neighborhood,
so
Barbara.
Thank
you
for
all
your
hard
work
and
we'll
keep
eating.
C
Because
again-
and
we
knew
it
when
it
was-
we
knew
it
when
I
was
the
only
person
of
color
in
my
elementary
school
that
James
J
chidduck,
so
High
Park
has
definitely
changed
for
the
better,
and
we
appreciate
that
and
we'll
do
our
part
in
that
little
neck
of
the
woods
East
River
Street
is
it's
historically
the
lower
end
of
High
Park
at
the
border
of
Mattapan
and
in
the
milk
independent
Historical
Society,
but
we
appreciate
being
able
to
do
our
share
and
we'll
keep
it
going.
Thank
you.
