From YouTube: Boston's National Night Out 2023
Description
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign celebrated across the nation. Mayor Wu and BPD Commissioner Cox join Police Officers, Elected Officials and Community Members across all Boston neighborhoods for two nights of fun, food, and festivities.
B
For
those
of
you
that
don't
know
me
I'm
Frank,
Hughes
I'm
from
the
community
service
office
here
at
District
14.
before
we
start
I'd
like
to
thank
our
sponsors,
we
have
quite
a
few
of
them
here
today.
We
have
also,
who
is
a
security
firm
works
with
Whole
Foods
and
a
couple
of
Walgreens
in
the
area
we
have
the
Army
National
God.
We
have
flatbread
pizza
we'd,
also
like
to
thank
Charles
view.
Inc
I
would
also
like
to
thank
the
Boston
fire
department,
the
sheriff's
office.
B
We
also,
as
I
said,
Charles
B,
wink
and
a
couple
others,
but
I
want
to
make
sure
I
get
everybody.
We
do
want
to
thank
the
senior
center
for
coming
out
and
sending
as
many
people
as
they
have
and
also
letting
us
use
the
tables
and
chairs
so
really
appreciate
it.
So
if
we
can
give
all
those
people
a
round
of
applause,
I
really
appreciate
it.
B
Also
I'd
like
to
thank
the
band
here
today,
too,
music
express.
Is
it
right
music
without
I
apologize,
and
we
also
have
Dave
Bob
is
going
to
be
playing
a
little
bit
later
on
with
his
band
too,
as
well.
Dave
helps
out
with
the
road
to
the
right
track,
which
is
a
running
program
that
we
run
here
in
the
district,
so
I'd
like
to
introduce
our
VIPs
that
are
here
today,
but
before
I
do
the
captain
is
here:
Captain
Wayne,
Lanchester,.
B
And,
of
course,
we
have
mayor
Michelle
Wu
if
she's
here
she'd
like
to
say
a
couple
of
words
come
on,
you
want
to
say
a
couple
words.
C
But
this
year
is
especially
exciting
because
I'm,
a
year
ago
now,
I
I
was
stressing
out
that
we,
where
we
still
didn't,
have
the
police
commissioner
in
place
yet,
and
then
he
finally
came
after
that.
We're
so
lucky
that
commissioner
Michael
Cox
agreed
to
come
home
to
Boston,
he's
been
doing
a
fantastic
job,
leading
our
department
and
I'm
so
thankful
to
all
of
our
Command
Staff
I.
C
Think
I
saw
the
chief
somewhere,
oh
yeah,
Chief
vlog's,
always
in
the
back,
our
superintendent
in
Chief
and
everyone
from
the
Command,
Staff,
Captain
Lanchester
and
all
the
great
officers
here
in
this
part
of
the
city.
Thank
you
for
all
that.
You
do
it's
it's
non-stop
it's
day
and
night,
and
it's
every
facet
of
what
touches
people's
lives
and
truly
matters,
so
I'm
very,
very
grateful
for
the
strong
partnership
that
we
have
and
that
we
are
able
to
make
sure
that
Boston
can
remain
one
of
the
safest,
big
city
in
America.
C
We
always
have
more
work
to
do
and
that
work
happens
in
partnership
with
Community.
I
also
want
to
recognize
that
your
local,
your
District
city
council,
Liz
Braden,
is
here.
Thank
you
for
all
of
your
work.
Counselor
you
are
at
large
city,
councilor,
Aaron
Murphy
is
here
you're
and
in
terms
of
tonight
is,
is
about
Public
Safety.
Overall,
we're
we're
really
here
proud
to
partner
with
the
police
department.
I
also
want
to
recognize
the
fire
department.
Is
here
not
only
our
commissioner
Paul
Burke.
Thank
you.
C
Thank
you
for
your
leadership
also
just
started
about
a
year
ago.
This
time
of
year.
It
was
a
big
relief
on
my
shoulders.
Our
fire
Cadets
are
here
historic
program
and
we're
so
thankful
that
these
young
people
are
working
toward
a
pathway
in
this
field
and
in
this
department,
our
chief
of
EMS
Chief
holy,
is
here.
D
How's
everyone
doing
today
it's
a
beautiful
day.
Isn't
it
I
know
the
mayor
made
mention
of
about
a
year
ago
in
the
process
of
coming
here,
and
you
know,
since
I've
been
here,
I've
never
been
happier
to
be
in
the
city
of
Boston
and
be
back
home
in
all
my
life,
so
I,
thank
all
of
you
all
for
that,
because
every
place
we
go
and,
more
importantly,
like
look
look
at
all
the
people
here
in
Brighton.
D
D
So
you
know
tonight
is
about
us,
thanking
you
all
for
your
partnership
for
thanking
you
all
for
helping
keeping
us
a
safe
City
by
partnering,
with
the
police
and
partnering
with
everyone
in
some
ways
to
make
our
community
stronger
and
better.
And
so
you
know,
we
want
to
definitely
make
sure
that
you
are
appreciated
and
make
sure
some
some
individual
here
we're
going
to
want
to
spoil
the
surprise
is
honored
for
the
work
that
they've
been
doing
throughout
the
year.
D
So
I
don't
want
to
talk
too
much
longer,
but
the
fact
is
I
do
want
to
make
sure
that
you
all
understand
that
we
appreciate
you
and
thank
you
for
partnering
with
us,
because
it
makes
Boston
a
safer
City
and
it
helps
us
not
only
solve
crime
but
prevent
crime
in
the
first
place
so
any
way
that
we
can
continue
to
partner.
We
appreciate
your
efforts
and
we're
going
to
do
all
we
can
so
thanks.
Everybody.
Thank
you.
E
Good
evening
Brighton,
how
are
you
good
evening
Brighton?
How
are
you
I
wish?
You
could
see
what
I
see
I
wish.
You
could
see
how
wonderful
you
all
look
here
tonight
and
it
is
a
beautiful
night
indeed,
and
just
reiterating
thank
you,
mayor
for
your
partnership
and
friendship
and
commissioner
Cox
for
all
the
work
that
we
do
together
to
achieve
Public
Safety
and
protect
our
citizens,
all
of
our
First
Responders
and
here
tonight,
all
the
other
members
of
the
mayor's
staff
that
are
here.
E
Thank
you
for
everything
you
do,
but,
most
importantly,
thank
you
to
all
of
you
who
are
here
tonight.
The
members
of
our
community
community
engagement,
Community
collaboration,
the
Partnerships
that
we
share
with
you
and
that
we
build
with
you
are
the
first
and
foremost
important
Cornerstone
to
advancing
Public
Safety.
Without
you,
we
can't
do
our
jobs
without
you.
We
can't
know
what
we
need
to
do
without
you.
We
can't
know
how
to
keep
our
streets
safe.
E
So
we
just
really
appreciate
all
of
you
love
you
all
so
very
much
and
so
very
good
to
see
you
thank
you
so
we're
breeding
as
well
for
your
friendship
and
partnership
and,
of
course,
Aaron
Murphy
as
well
councilman
Murphy.
Thank
you.
I
just
want
to
give
a
quick
shout
out
to
the
members
of
my
office
from
Brighton
District
Court,
who
are
over
there,
give
a
little
wave.
Thank
you
all
for
all
that
you
do
again.
Thank
you
for
this
wonderful
Vibrant
Community.
E
All
you
do
to
help
advance
and
achieve
safety
and
congratulations
to
our
morning
tonight.
I
won't
spoil
it
either,
but
because
we
do
have
one
and
congratulations
to
that
person.
Thank
you.
So
much
God
bless
you.
B
F
Hello,
everyone
thank
you
for
coming
out
so
before
I
invite
this
person
up
here.
We'll
just
give
you
a
little
background.
This
person
we've
worked
with
for
many
years
at
the
Brighton
police
station
she's,
been
in
immense
help
to
us.
I
would
even
venture
to
call
her
one
of
my
own
friends
I'm,
going
to
ask
Ellen
chayas
to
come
up
here
from
the
bias
Yakov
school
on
Strathmore
Road
foreign.
F
Is
actually
going
to
be
retiring
in
how
many
days
27
days,
but
no
one's
really
counting
she's
been
a
wonderful
friend
to
the
police
station
and
we
can't
thank
her
enough
and
we
wish
her
the
best
on
her
retirement.
So
I'll
read
off
what
it
says.
F
It
says
the
neighborhood
watch
unit
presents
Ellen
Chinese
with
the
community
service
award
in
recognition
about
standing,
success
and
crime
prevention
activities
that
serve
as
an
inspiration
to
others
to
keep
up
the
fight
against
Crime
in
Boston,
given
in
celebration
of
National
Night
Out
August,
1st
2023,
signed
by
the
police
commissioner.
So
if
we
could
have
a
big
round
of
applause
for
Ellen
and
congratulations,
Ellen.
A
B
While
we're
up
here
taking
a
couple
more
pictures,
I
did
forget
a
couple
of
sponsors
and
I
want
to
make
sure
I.
Remember
them.
I
want
to
thank
Boston
College
for
helping
us
out
with
the
grill
I
want
to
thank
the
Oxford
YMCA
I
want
to
thank
Boston
University
Coca-Cola
of
New
England
also
helped
us
out
at
Harvard
University.
So
if
there's
anybody
else
in
there
for
God,
please
remind
me,
but
really
thank
our
sponsors
did
a
great
job
this
year.
So
really
nice
job
coming
through
foreign.
C
We're
so
happy
that
so
many
families
are
out
here
and
I.
It's
amazing
I
see
so
many
of
our
friends
who
were
This
Tall
last
year
and
now
they're
This
Tall
this
year,
and
they
are
as
beautiful
and
smart
and
Brilliant
as
ever.
We're
so
happy
that
you
came
here
once
again
to
get
to
see
all
of
us
and
our
Police
Commissioner,
all
of
our
Command
Staff
at
the
Boston
police,
our
district
attorney
elected
officials
and
all
of
our
police
officers
and
everyone
keeping
us
safe.
C
They
work
so
hard
and
we're
very,
very
thankful
that
they're,
the
leading
Department
across
the
country
focused
on
community
policing
and
making
sure
that
everyone
is
part
of
keeping
our
community
safe.
We
also
couldn't
do
this
work
without
all
of
our
Public
Safety
agencies.
The
Boston
fire
department
does
such
great
work.
Commissioner,
Burke
has
been
coming
around
to
every
park
with
us.
Our
EMS
Chief
Jo
Hui,
is
over
here
as
well.
Thank
you
for
all
that
you
do
our
partners
at
the
state
level
at
the
federal
level.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
C
D
Hey
good
evening,
everybody
you
know
tonight
is
a
National
Night,
Out
and-
and
this
is
a
opportunity
for
us
to
celebrate
you
all
for
your
partnership
with
not
only
the
police
department,
but
everybody
in
the
city
who
you
know,
help
keep
us
safe.
You
know
by
caring
about
our
community
and
coming
together,
like
we
are
and
having
a
good
time
and
and
partnering
with
with
with
all
all
the
city
to
make
sure
that
we
are
strong,
vibrant
city
is,
is
really
important.
We're
here
to
say
thank
you
for
that.
D
You
know
we
have
a
tremendous
partnership
in
this
community
with
our
our
community
service
officers
and
our
offices
in
general,
but
we
can't
do
what
we
do
to
keep
you
safe
without
your
help
and
support.
So
we
thank
you
for
the
help
and
support
you
give
us
every
single
day
and
so
I
I,
don't
know
if
it's
going
to
rain
or
not,
but
we
are
here
to
celebrate.
Oh
no
rain.
D
Oh,
that's
good,
we're
here
to
celebrate
you
and
a
few
crime
fighters
in
the
neighborhood
that
have
been
working
tremendously
hard
throughout
the
year
partnering
with
us
to
keep
our
community
safe
and
so
I
want
to
thank
everybody
who's
here
tonight
and
we
are
going
to
keep
this
show
moving
here.
Captain
I
mean
Lieutenant
I'm.
Sorry.
H
D
H
G
I
A
G
The
program
director
for
the
parkway
Community
YMCA
has
worked
at
the
YMCA
for
the
past
12
years.
She
has
created
multiple
programs
for
teens
as
Potter's
the
safe
summer
initiative.
The
safe
summer
initiative
is
intended
to
give
teens
a
safe
space,
provide
them
with
meals
and
keep
them
engaged
in
constructive
activities.
Working
in
coordination
with
the
city
of
Boston.
She
has
employed
65
teens
at
the
Parkway
Community
YMCA.
G
She
gives
them
Workforce
training
and
guidance
to
prepare
for
their
futures.
In
her
past
six
years
at
the
Washington
Beach,
she
has
started
a
food,
pantry,
blood
pressure,
monitoring,
vaccine
clinics,
senior
programs,
Community
tea
time
and
many
teen
programs
as
well.
She
brought
in
new
Partnerships
to
improve
the
community
during
covid.
She
turned
the
community
room
into
a
classroom,
so
students
were
able
to
attend
their
remote
learning
classes.
G
G
A
E
Congratulations.
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Hey
good
evening,
everybody!
How
are
you
Kevin
Hey
and
your
son
of
a
kind
just
attorney
I
wish
you
all
could
see
how
beautiful
you
look.
This
is
amazing.
This
is
our
third
stop.
This
is
the
largest
crowd
we
have
seen.
Yet
it
is
so
great
to
celebrate.
Community
with
you
all
I
want
to
say
hello,
real
quick
to
my
wife
and
my
son
Jordan
here
on
my
left.
We
live
right
across
the
way
on
the
other
side
of
Washington
Street.
We
love
you.
E
We
thank
this
community
for
everything
that
you
do.
I
think
I
saw
it
councilman
and
Ricardo
or
Ricardo
Arroyo
and
Aaron
Murphy
councilman
Aaron
Murphy
in
the
house
as
well.
God
bless
you,
our
members
of
the
community,
for
the
difference
you
make
every
single
day
have
a
wonderful
evening.
J
So
we
want
to
thank
you
all
for
all
of
your
support
and
love.
We
had
a
good
time
today
at
National
Night
Out
2023.
Can
we
clap
it
up?
Those
of
us
who
are
here
we're
honored
to
have
our
mayor
here
and
our
commissioner
and
we're
going
to
ask
them
to
have
a
few
words.
Hey
you
all
ready,
I
was
about
to
say
Amen.
You
can
tell
I
can't
help
myself.
C
Hey
y'all,
thank
you.
So
much
for
coming
out
we're
incredibly
grateful
to
see
you
and
thank
you
for
being
here,
just
as
the
rain
is
starting
to
come
down.
We're
gonna
go
fast,
but
we
wanted
to
be
here
just
to
say
thank
you
to
everyone
in
the
community.
This
is
a
part
of
the
city
that
I
love
and
adore
and
really
represents
what
it
means.
When
people
come
together,
have
each
other's
back
and
are
taking
care
of
every
possible
thing.
We
can
try
to
do
together.
C
Housing,
that's
affordable
safety
for
every
single
person,
jobs
for
our
young
people
and
opportunities
for
everyone.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
all
of
that
fits
together
and
that
wouldn't
be
possible
without
the
hard
work
that
our
police
officers
put
in
every
single
day.
So
thank
you
to
the
commissioner
Michael
Cox
and
the
entire
Boston
Police
Department
The
Command
Staff,
all
of
our
officers
they
partner
with
a
lot
of
the
folks
that
you
will
see
here
today.
C
We
are
joined
by
some
by
city,
councilors
city
council
at
large,
Aaron,
Murphy
city
council,
your
District
City
councilor,
Tanya,
Fernandez
Anderson
from
D7,
your
Statewide
representative,
John
Moran,
is
here
and
our
partners
on
the
public
safety
side
and
law
enforcement,
Side
District,
Attorney,
Kevin,
Hayden
and
U.S
attorney
Joshua
Levy.
Thank
you
so
much
for
all
that
you
do
as
well.
C
At
the
city
level,
every
call
that
goes
out.
Our
police
officers
are
working
hand
in
hand
with
their
partner,
Public
Safety
agencies.
So
thank
you
also
to
commissioner
Paul,
Burke
of
the
Boston
fire
department
for
being
such
a
strong
partner
chief
of
EMS
Chief
Cooley.
Thank
you
for
all
that
you
and
your
team
do
as
well.
We
want
to
be
here
so
that
Boston's
always
leading
the
way
listening
to
our
community
members,
focusing
on
how
we
continue
to
go
to
grow,
stronger
and
and
do
more
together.

O
You
she
is
not
only
a
strong
advocate
for
all
of
the
city
of
Boston,
but
of
course,
for
Chinatown,
and
we
are
very
excited
for
you
to
be
here
and
we
have
been
with
you
since
the
beginning
so
really
appreciate
it
and.
O
Gonna
introduce
other
folks
that
you
want
to
speak
or
all
right
yeah.
We
have
a
lot
of
folks
with
us
today,
including
council
president
Flynn
police,
commissioner
Cox
D.A
Kevin
Hayden,
councilor,
Murphy,
counselor
Mahia
am
I
missing.
Anyone.
C
Mayor
she
said,
thank
you
so
much
Sherry
hi
and
everyone
feels
so
far
away
with
this
new
system.
I'm
gonna
come
up
a
little.
Thank
you
so
much
for
being
here
as
part
of
National
Night
Out.
We
are
all
going
down
to
different
neighborhoods
and
police
districts
just
to
say
thank
you
to
community
safety
is
a
year-round,
365-day
effort
that
takes
everyone
the
closer
to
the
speaker
system.
This
way
safety
is
a
year-round
collaboration
that
we
all
work
on
together
and
we're
here,
alongside
leadership
of
all
of
our
Public
Safety
agencies.
C
C
C
I.
Think
at
this
stop
we're
kind
of
rotating
and
trying
to
keep
speaking
programs
pretty
concise,
but
I
think
we
will
hear
from
the
police,
commissioner,
or
the
district
attorney,
and
so
I
just
want
to
recognize
everyone
else
who
is
here
and
thank
them
for
all
of
their
daily
work.
Our
Boston
City
councilors
are
such
important
partners
for
the
city
and
they're
there
in
each
and
every
District
of
the
city,
making
sure
that
your
voices
are
heard
and
that
we're
alerted
to
any
issue
so
that
we
can
partner
on
them
together.
C
Q
D
Hello
China
House
everyone
doing
tonight,
good
hey
as
the
mayor
just
talked
about
the
National
Night
Out
is
actually
an
opportunity
for
the
police
department.
National
Public
Safety,
to
thank
you
all
particularly
Chinatown,
for
the
strong
partnership
that
you
all
have
with
us
in
keeping
our
community
safe.
You
know
every
time
I
come
into
the
community.
D
You
do
so
many
things
to
partner
and
make
sure
the
kids
are
safe
and
productive,
and
this
is
such
a
great
Community
for
that,
and
you
have
a
long
history
of
partnering
with
the
captains
in
the
station
and
all
our
officers
and
Command
Staff
and
actually
partnering
to
keep
us
all
safe,
whether
it's
information
walks
events.
It's
always
been
a
great
community,
so
we're
here
to
thank
you
and
actually
thank
some
individuals
who
have
certainly
done
it
all
year
round
with
some
awards
tonight.
D
So
that's
what
we're
going
to
do,
and
so
our
Command
Staff
is
walking
in
and
around
feel
free
to
talk
to
them
at
any
time
or
any
of
our
offices
like
you
always
do
because
we're
here
for
you-
and
you
know
this-
is
how
we
keep
communities
safe
by
coming
together
like
this.
So
thank
you
so
much
Chinatown
and
up
next
is
D.A.
Thank
you.
E
Good
evening
everybody,
it
is
so
wonderful
to
see
you
all
it's
a
beautiful
night.
Thank
you
to
our
community
for
everything
that
you
do.
We
are
nothing
without
you
and
you
are
the
reason
why
we
do
what
we
do
our
business
associations,
our
neighborhood
watch
groups
here
in
Chinatown,
our
service
organizations
that
are
serving
our
young
people
with
this
area.
Thank
you
all
for
everything
you
do
to
collaborate
with
us
and
to
keep
our
streets
safe
and
to
engage
in
public
safety
initiatives.
We
love
you.
We
would
be
nothing
without.
You.
E
E
O
All
right
so
as
part
of
our
community
celebration,
we
recognize
an
organization
or
individual
for
outstanding
service.
On
behalf
of
the
community
and
this
year
we
are
so
honored
to
to
recognize
the
Chinese
Consolidated
benevolent
Association
of
New,
England
or
ccba.
O
N
O
I've
actually
been
involved
for
so
long
and
I
couldn't
believe
we
didn't
recognize
ccba.
Yet
ccba
officially
celebrates
its
100th
anniversary
this
year,
incorporating
in
1923.
O
Cba
plays
a
significant
role
to
promote
and
preserve
Chinese
culture
and
tradition,
most
notably
organizing
the
annual
Chinese
New
Year
parade
and
August
Moon
Festival
in
Boston's
Chinatown.
Other
activities
include
supporting
Community
Access
to
Table
Tennis,
which
is
hugely
popular
Chinese
calligraphy,
Chinese
dance,
a
reading
library
with
Chinese
language
materials
at
ccba
also
established
the
Chinatown
crime
watch,
foreign.
O
There's
also
new
development
right
around
the
corner
in
taitung's
parking
lot,
they're,
developing
85
new
units
of
affordable
housing
and,
importantly
to
Chinatown
National
Night,
Out
ccba
has
provided
the
space
this
taitung
Village
Courtyard
to
our
annual
celebration
of
since
its
Inception.
We
are
grateful
for
this
partnership
where
hundreds
of
residents,
Social,
Service
organizations
and
businesses
come
together
so
here
to
accept.
The
community
service
award
on
behalf
of
ccba
is
Felix
Louis
ccba's
President.
Also
my
co-moderator
for
Chinatown
neighborhood
Council.
We
appreciate
Felix
and
ccba
for
all
you've
done
so.
N
C
I
I
just
want
to
add
one
thing,
which
is
that
we're
doing
National
Night
Out
all
across
the
city-
and
this
is
really
an
example-
CCB
ccba,
Felix
and
everyone
who's
been
part
of
this
for
such
a
long
time.
This
is
the
only
National
Night
Out,
where
we
have
Neighborhood
National
Night,
Out
balloons
printed
and
ready
a
banner,
and
just
such
a
T-shirt
and
such
a
multi-generational
celebration
we're
very,
very
thankful.
This
is
really
how
you
do.
Everything
in
the
neighborhood
is
really
to
include
everyone.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.

You
Deborah
I'm
honored
to
be
here
honored
to
represent
this
wonderful
Community.
I
also
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
Boston
police
they're,
a
critical
partner
here
in
the
South
End.
They
do
a
tremendous
job.
Supporting
residents
supporting
our
immigrant
Community
I,
want
to
say
thank
you
to
our
Boston
police
officers
and
all
city
workers
that
made
this
day
possible.
Thank
you.
R
H
Very
quick
thing:
when
we
look
back
at
the
recent
National
Night
Out
exists.
It
had
a
lot
to
do
with
taking
back
your
neighborhood
for
you
and
making
sure
it
was
safe,
and
when
my
father
and
Debbie
and
Anne
started
at
this,
it
was
not
safe
and
now
it's
one
of
the
best
communities
in
all
of
the
country,
and
everyone
deserves
a
big
round
of
applause.
On
behalf
of
my
father
and
me,
thank
you
for
everything.
D
D
Square
Community
has
been
doing
this
for
such
a
long
period
of
time
and
we're
here
to
say
thank
you
on
this
National
Night
Out
for
all
your
service
that
you
provided
to
each
other
as
a
community
in
the
city
here
of
keeping
everybody
safe,
so
National,
Night
Out
is
really
about
us.
Saying
thank
you
to
you
and
that's
what
we're
here
for
and
we're
going
to,
hopefully
give
out
an
award,
certainly
for
your
to
some
members
who
have
done
it
year
round,
and
so
we
want
to
recognize
you
for
that.
D
I
R
Just
I
know
you
want
to
give
out
the
awards,
but
we
just
have
one
more
that
we
need
to
do
for
grown
Pizza
George
he's
been
a
stable
in
the
castle,
Square
Community
for
all
the
25
years,
and
he
has
donated
so
much
to
our
youth
programs
and
we
feel
he
should
be
recognized
tonight.
Yeah
foreign.
A
V
V
Where
Association,
the
Worcester
Square
area,
neighborhood
association,
is
an
extremely
vital
partner
of
District
4
in
the
community
at
Large,
they're,
positive
and
productive
relationship
allows
community
members
an
opportunity
to
have
a
clear
line
of
communication
with
the
offices
that
Patrol
the
enabler,
whether
it
be
the
cleaning
up
a
local
park
in
a
square
of
their
ability
to
reach
the
gap
between
community
members
in
the
office
of
district
four.
But
what's
the
square
enabled
Association,
whereas
tiles
leave
for
the
benefit
of
their
neighbors.
V
The
motivation
and
dedication
to
keep
this
positive
relationship
private
is
admirable
and
Paramount
in
this
report's
ability
to
practice.
Community
policing
having
a
straight
relationship
with
Melissa
Square,
enabled
Association
allows
our
offices
to
be
aware
of
community
concerns,
so
they're
able
to
properly
address
them.
Improving
the
quality
of
life
in
the
neighborhood
for
everyone.
V
I
want
to
personally
thank
the
crew
from
Worcester
Square
of
Desi
Bob
Andy
and
Craig
I've
been
down
District
Four
for
six
years.
A
partnership
we've
had
over
the
years
is
vital
to
the
mission
we
have
going
on
and
what
I
try
to
instill
in
the
younger
office
is
working
in
the
alleys
in
and
around
the
neighborhood.
You
know
six
years
ago
a
lot
of
work
needed
to
be
done.
There
I
think
we've
made
a
lot
of
progress
over
those
years.
N
V
I,
like
quickly
just
twice
pass
a
mic
over
the
desert
from
the
square
Association.
X
As
much
as
they're
giving
us
an
award,
we
feel
like
we
should
be
giving
you
an
award
for
your
hard
work
in
the
south
end.
It's
it's
really
remarkable
that
it
seems.
Like
you
know,
every
single
Community
lead
every
single
Alleyway.
So
we
really
do
appreciate
your
hard
work
over
the
years
to
improve
the
area.
Y
And
all
the
you
know,
the.
Y
Z
Hello,
everyone,
Jimmy
chin,
I'm,
the
superintendent
in
charge
of
the
Bureau
of
community
engagement,
I
had
superintendent
conditioner,
wanted
me
to
come
up
here
and
tell
you
a
little
story
about
myself.
I
grew
up
in
this
neighborhood
I
grew
up
in
Castle
Square.
Z
As
a
matter
of
fact,
I
grew
up
at
4B,
Castle
Court,
my
parents
were
immigrants,
and
they
raised
me
here
with
the
Quincy
school,
and
this
has
a
special
place
in
my
heart
because
it
shaped
me
into
who
I
am
today
and
I
want
to
also
acknowledge
officer,
Lang
practice
healing
the
bicycle
uniform.
He
also
broke
it
and
now
he's
the
police
officer.
So
we
are
a
part
of
this
community.
Z
It
means
a
lot
to
us
and
just
wanted
you
to
know
that
the
police
department
is
a
great
partnership
to
all
the
communities
in
the
city
and
want
to
make
it
great
and
all
a
lot
of
our
offices
are
born
and
raised
here
like
myself,
and
we
just
have
a
special
connection
to
you
know
certain
parts
that
we
did
grow.
Z
There
he
is
liaison
for
the
city
of
Boston.
He
also
broke
it
so
yeah
and
many
other
offices
that
are
here
today,
but
that
grew
up
with
community.
E
All
right
good
evening,
everybody
I
think
I
might
be
closing
this
out.
It's
good
to
see
you
all
I'm,
just
returning
Kevin
Hayden.
It
is
wonderful
to
be
here
in
the
most
rich
and
diverse
and
wonderful
Community,
probably
in
the
city
of
Boston,
when
I
was
a
young
assistant
district
attorney,
a
PB
guy
at
Fourth,
I
grew
up
here.
E
I
grew
up
serving
this
community
and
serving
as
a
community
prosecutor
here
in
Castle
Square
here
in
the
South
Bend,
and
it's
really
good
to
see
you
all
so
many
members
of
our
community
to
make
such
a
tremendous
difference
in
such
a
tremendous
difference
in
over
the
many
many
years,
the
Washington
Square
group.
Congratulations
to
you
and
going
more
deserving
this
award.
Congratulations
to
you!
It's
wonderful
to
see
everybody
and
we
love
you
all
God
bless!
You
take
care.
AA
On
behalf
of
the
Boston
Police
Department
and
the
offices
from
District
11,
who
served
this
community
every
day,
welcome
and
thank
you
for
joining
us
for
2023
National,
Night
Out.
You
know
this
is
a
wonderful
yearly
event.
You
know
where
we
get
to
acknowledge
the
relationships
and
the
Partnerships
that
we
continue
to
have
with
all
of
you,
our
community.
You
know
Dorchester
is
such
a
wonderful,
diverse,
neighborhood.
AA
You
know
that
you
know
it
really
is
a
great
thing
for
us
to
be
a
part
of
this
and
to
have
all
of
you
share
this
with
us
tonight
and
not
just
tonight,
but
every
day
you
know
our
offices
out
here
at
District
11.
we're
out
here
serving
we're
out
there
working
with
that
Community
every
day
you
know
building
on
our
relationship.
So
for
that
we
thank
you
all
for
being
here
tonight.
AA
So
we
got
a
couple
folks
that
we're
gonna
acknowledge
on
some
awards
before
we
get
to
that
I'd
first
like
to
introduce
our
mayor,
the
city
of
Boston,
Michelle,
Wu,.
C
Thank
you,
Captain
Burns,
thank
you
for
all
that
you
do
and
and
I'll
lead
you
to
take
care
of
this
community
and
and
make
sure
that
this
area
is
safe
and
connected.
I'm,
really
grateful
to
be
here
with
members
of
our
Boston
Police,
Department,
Command,
Staff
and,
of
course,
our
commissioner
commissioner
Michael
Cox.
Thank
you
for
all
that
you
do.
C
C
It's
been
a
wonderful
time
of
just
really
making
sure
we
remember
that
if
we
want
everywhere
to
be
safe,
all
of
us
have
a
part
in
that
and
Community
is
really
important
and
so
we're
here
to
say
thank
you
to
community
I'm
here
to
say
thank
you
to
the
Boston
Police
Department
I
also
want
to
lift
up
and
thank
the
work
of
our
partner,
Public
Safety
and
public
health
agencies.
Commissioner
Paul
Burke
of
the
Boston
fire
department.
They
are
on
call
at
every
single
incident
as
well
and
they're,
so
so
grateful
for
them.
C
C
I
also
want
to
thank
District,
Attorney,
Kevin
Hayden
for
all
of
your
partnership,
and
it's
it's
been
wonderful,
seeing
you
all
out
and
about
at
the
event
in
the
city
we're
joined
here
at
this
stop
by
and
at
every
single
one
of
the
national
night
outside
City
councilor,
Aaron
Murphy
has
been
everywhere,
and
we
are
so
appreciative
of
her
support
for
all
of
our
efforts.
C
This
night
is
about
celebrating
community
and
giving
out
the
awards.
Most
of
all,
we
want
to
recognize
that
safety
is
something
that
happens
365
days
a
year,
even
if
we're
here
tonight
to
get
together
the
bonds
that
we're
building
and
the
relationships
and
and
the
Partnerships
have
to
keep
going
way
past
tonight.
So
thanks
for
all
your
part
in
this,
and
thank
you
for
the
honor
of
representing
you,
okay
and
I'll
pass
it
over
to
commissioner
Cox.
D
How's
Dorchester
doing
this
evening,
you
know
this
is
the
last
stop
and
you
know
of
many
stops.
We
made
this
evening
and
Dorchester
is
certainly
a
community
I've
lived
in
for
well
over
20
plus
years,
but
you
know
our
offices
that
are
working
here.
You
see
them
around
the
area
here,
plus
the
Command
Staff.
D
You
know
we're
here
to
serve
you
we're
here
to
partner
with
you
to
make
sure
we
keep
the
city
as
safe
as
we
can,
but
we
can't
do
our
job
without
your
support
and
that's
what
National
Night
Out
is
really
about
us
saying.
Thank
you
to
you
all
that
partner
with
us,
the
ones
that
come
in
and
make
suggestions
and
work
with
us
to
try
to
help
the
community
safe.
D
We're
here
to
you,
know,
give
back
to
you
and
to
say
thank
you
for
this
partnership
because
we
needed
to
make
Boston
the
strongest
City,
and
so
thank
you
all
for
being
here
tonight
and,
more
importantly,
we're
going
to
give
out
an
award
tonight
to
some
folks
that
actually
have
spent
the
year
working
with
us
to
make
this
neighborhood
safe.
So
I
want
to.
Thank
you
all
for
being
here
and
and
when
you
see
our
officers
out
there
talk
to
them.
D
E
What's
up
Dorchester
see
you
we
did
we
saved
the
best
for
last,
it's
good
to
see.
Thank
you
to
Mayor
Wu.
Thank
you
to
commissioner
Clarkson,
the
Boston
Police
Department
for
all.
You
do.
Thank
you
mostly
to
you,
each
and
every
member
of
the
community,
each
and
every
person
that
makes
a
difference
in
their
community
and
helps
keep
our
city
safe.
Thank
you
for
all.
You
do
and
ADSL
look
at
these
young
people
back
here.
Praise
God,
look
at
you,
ADSL
is
in
the
house.
Thank
you.
E
It's
good
to
see
you
Candice
Candice
long
time,
partner
long
time
ago,
in
a
galaxy
far
far
away,
there
was
a
thing
called
the
Washington
Street
Corridor,
safe
neighbor
initiative,
and
you
were
a
Kingpin
and
making
that
happen.
Thank
you.
God
bless.
You
good
to
see
you
all
God
bless
you
Dorchester
have
a
good
evening.
M
Good
evening
Dorchester
how's
everyone
doing
I'm
so
glad
you
stayed
as
the
last
stop.
So
I
am
an
at
large
city
councilor,
but
I
do
have
to
say
I'm
home,
so
I
was
happy
when
I
saw
that
we
were
going
to
finish
the
tour
here
at
home
and
it's
so
great
to
see
everyone.
Thank
you
for
coming
out.
M
Thank
you,
Father
Jack,
to
ADSL
for
everyone
in
this
community
who
just
makes
it
such
a
wonderful
place
to
live,
I'm
proud
to
be
from
Dorchester
I'm,
just
proud
to
be
in
this
community,
and
thank
you
to
all
the
Partnerships
we
have
with
our
police
officers
with
the
DA's
office,
with
the
EMS,
with
all
our
First
Responders.
Thank
you
for
stepping
up.
Thank
you
for
coming
out
and
I'm
just
happy
to
be
here.
AA
Thank
you.
So,
as
we
mentioned,
we
had
a
couple
folks
we're
going
to
recognize
so
if
we
could
have
Harry's
Hideaway
and
the
golden
Geneva
mental
health
task
force,
why
don't
you
come
on
up
here?
A
couple
folks
would
also
like
to
thank
obviously
Candace.
Thank
you
in
ADSL
we'd
like
to
thank
our
DJs
tonight.
Mr
Jayden,
Williams
and
little
Bella.
Is
that
correct
little
Bella
there
we
go
would
also
like
to
thank
our
pandas
across
the
street
Target.
They
provided
a
ton
of
water
for
us.
AA
AA
Z
AA
He's
always
here,
this
group
has
focused
their
efforts
on
making
the
boat
in
Geneva
area
a
safer
place
to
live
their
bi-weekly
meetings,
which
they
definitely
hold
us
accountable
for
have
provided
the
Boston
Police
Department,
with
valuable
information
regarding
trends
that
that
going
on
up
in
that
area
which
lead
to
arrest
as
well
as
information
from
the
business
owners.
AA
I'm
gonna
give
you
that
award
so
for
our
2023
community
service
award,
we're
going
to
acknowledge
this
year,
Lawrence
Thornton,
but
to
all
of
us.
We
all
know
him
obviously
is
Mr
Larry
to
his
neighbors,
and
we
want
to
acknowledge
for
the
great
work
that
he's
done
not
just
this
year,
but
throughout
the
years.
AA
Mr
Larry
is
a
valuable
asset
to
the
residents
and
business
owners
in
the
four
corners
Community,
as
well
as
the
area
c
community
service
office,
Mr
larity
provides
transportation
for
his
neighbors,
make
sure
all
his
neighbors
are
safe
and
fed,
but
mostly
important.
He
cares
deeply
about
his
community
and
the
people
who
live
here.
AA
Mr
Larry
is
always
there
for
our
community
service
office
and
the
offices
of
District
11.
he's
always
walking
up
the
offices
engaging
us.
You
know
creating
a
wonderful
relationship
and
letting
us
know
the
things
that
are
going
on
in
the
community,
and
we
continue
to
to
be
grateful
to
you
and
what
you
have
done
for
this
community
and
for
that
we
acknowledge
you
for
this
award.
So
thank
you,
sir.
