like
to
acknowledge

head
of
the
crime
watch
group
citywide,
they
have
a
very
busy
night.
The
next
two
nights

at
all.
The
neighborhoods
I'd
also
like
to
thank
such
a
strong

and
all

from
the
community
service
office.

You
chief
for
being
with
us.
We.
C
Used
to
have
a
chief
in
Boston,
we
don't
have
a
chief
anymore
now
he's
the
commissioner
over
here
and
the
commissioners.
Gonna
come
up
in
a
few
minutes
and
say
a
few
words,
but
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
coming
out.
I
want
to
just
introduce
you
have
great
representation

Thank,
You,

like
to
thank

C
They
just
did
the
the
budget
at
the
State
House
and
they
just
finished
the
session
and
in
this
session
in
the
budget,
we're
able
to
get
some
additional
funding
for
charter
school
reimbursement.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
for
that
for
that
money
and
appreciate
it,
because
council
clarity
and
the
sabe
Georgia
to
spend
it
pretty
quickly
on
it,
so
I
want
to
thank
you.
I
also
want
to
thank
so
my
clarity
is
here
with
us
city,
wide
city,
council,
michael
clarity
and
City
company,
sure
sabe
Georgia's.
C
Here
with
us,
we
have
state
representative,
Andrew
Cavazos
with
us
today.
I
want
to
thank
the
representative.
Sheriff
Steve
Thompkins
is
with
us
today.
Thank
You
sheriff
Thompkins
for
being
with
us
today
and
I
want
to
thank
I,
want
to
thank
all
the
elected
officials,
just
a
few
awardees
and
I'm
not
giving
the
awards
that
they
know
who's
getting
in
what
the
awardees
know,
who's
winning.
Okay,
I
want
to
thank
the
Crimewatch
group
of
the
es.
This
is
the
st.
Joseph's.
C
You
can't
get
a
strong,
a
tougher
crime
watch
group
than
that
Thank
You
sisters.
I
also
want
to
thank
the
community
service
award.
Bernadette
brewer
Thank
You
Bernadette
Brad's
getting
a
big
award.
She
brought
the
whole
team
some
GBH
with
her
today,
I
want
to
thank
you
and
I
just
want
to
well.
I
wanted
to
also
thank
the
Boston
Police
Foundation
for
supporting
today
and
making
sure
today
could
happen
with
funding
Thank
You
Boston
Police
Foundation
for
your
great
work,
just
a
couple
of
announcements.
We
we
want
to
crunch
stats
compared
to
this
time.
C
C
Robbery
aggravated
assaults
and
autotest
significantly
down
in
the
neighborhood
of
D
for
teens
I
want
to
thank
the
officers
for
their
great
work
and
also
there
was
a
shooting
this
past
night
on
on
handle
Street
and
we're
working
on
that
to
make
sure
that
we
don't
have
a
common
occurrence.
I,
just
wanna
I
know
that
the
captain
and
the
officers
are
working
on
that.
So
again,
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
working
with
us
community
updates.
We
have
coffee
with
a
cop
on
Wednesday
the
29th
at
cafe
Nero
at
9:00
o'clock.
C
In
the
morning
the
Boston
Police
rode
to
the
right
track.
Kayak
night
is
gonna,
be
Thursday.
The
9th
at
5:30
transportation
will
really
study.
We
have
a
transport,
also
Brighton
transportation.
Mobility
study
is
underway.
We
have
an
open
house
on
September
12th
and
we're
planning,
often
Christmas
under
way,
so
I
want
to
I
want
to
just
thank
all
of
you
for
that.
Today's
a
special
day,
this
is
my
fifth
National
Night
Out
as
mayor
and
today
started
this
morning
started
special.
C
We
had
a
we
had
a
great
Commissioner
who
it
was
a
commissioner
here
for
five
years
in
Boston,
and
certainly
this
area
loves
him
because
he
was
the
captain
out
in
Brighton
for
a
long
time.
D
14,
we
kind
of
gave
him
back
to
you
because
he's
not
too
far
away's
over
Boston
College,
so
I
just
want
I
want
to
thank
the
Commissioner,
but
today
we
Commissioner
Evans.
So
we
can
give
him
a
clap.
C
He
somebody
cares
about
the
city
he's
somebody
who
cares
about
community
policing
and
he
cares
about
how
do
we
improve
the
quality
of
life
for
so
many
people
by
lifting
them
up
and
not
locking
them
up
and
when
he
gave
his
speech
today,
I
I
was
I
was
looking
at
his
mother,
the
whole
time,
and
you
can
see
in
his
mother's
eyes
how
proud
she
was
at
her
son
and
it's
an
amazing
feat.
He
started
as
a
cadet
rose
to
the
ranks
as
an
officer.
C
He
elevated
himself
through
the
ranks
of
the
police
department,
was
an
superintendent
Knight
command.
Then
under
Commissioner
Evans
became
the
chief
of
the
police
department
and
then
I
had
the
good
fortune
of
talking
to
him
in
asking
him
if
huge
serve
as
the
next
Police
Commissioner
in
city
of
Boston,
and
he
willingly
said.
Yes,
he
is
somebody
that
we
should
be
very
proud
of.
In
Boston
he's
a
person
that
loves
the
city.
He
loves
his
job.
He
loves
his
offices.
D
I've
been
in
policing
for
35
years
two
years
as
a
cadet,
then
33
in
uniform
and
there's
one
thing:
I've,
never
forgotten
where
I
came
from
and
who
raised
me,
and
that
is
you
from
the
community
so
give
yourselves
a
hand.
Thank
you.
I
even
have
a
Brighton
mom
I'm
mom
Honan.
Are
you
doing
surprised?
She's
like
wow
I
got
a
son
he's
pretty
big
you're
gonna
make
a
lot
of
cupcakes
for
me
mom,
but
tonight's,
your
night.
You
know
it's
called
National
Night
Out
and
we
celebrate
the
Crimestoppers
and
the
folks
in
the
community.
D
But
this
isn't
something
you
do
just
one
night:
you
do
it
each
and
every
day,
each
and
every
night.
So
we're
here
to
celebrate
you
and
your
commitment
to
watching
out
for
others,
and
your
commitment
to
community
policing
and
I
am
proud
to
serve
as
the
42nd
police.
Commissioner,
god
bless
Commissioner
Evans
he
paved
the
way
for
me.
We
got
to
carry
on
the
good
work
that
we've
started
under
his
administration.
They
will
carry
right
on
into
our
administration
as
well
and
again
it
begins
with
you
making
every
day,
bigger
and
better.
So,
thank
you.
D
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Our
Boston
Police
Foundation
I,
see
target
in
the
back
I,
see
the
sheriff's
folks
transit.
Thank
you.
Another
thing
before
I
go
law
enforcement
in
this
Commonwealth.
We
work
together
all
right,
it's
not
just
about
BPD,
but
it's
about
first
responders,
BPD
law
enforcement,
first
responders
fire
department
or
all
together
here
to
serve
you.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
E
So
what
we're
gonna
do
now
is
throughout
the
year
we
work
with
a
lot
of
groups
in
the
Austin
brain
community
in
for
National
Night
Out
working
with
my
office's.
We
come
up
with
a
couple
of
individuals
couple
of
groups
that
we
bounce
around
in
to
determine
who
we
want
to
recognize
for
the
great
work
that
they
do
in
the
community
and
the
great
work
and
the
collaboration
they
do
with
us
here
at
the
Boston
Police
Department
district
14.
So
for
our
community
individually
yeah,
it's
gonna
be
Bernadette
brewer.
F
E
So
Bernadette
I'm
gonna
read
a
little
spiel
here
before
I.
Do
I
just
want
to
thank
you
when
I
first
came
up
here
a
few
years
ago
and
they
mentioned
the
individual,
you
were
the
first
name
that
popped
into
my
head
and
I'm
so
happy
that
I
was
able
to
finally
to
acknowledge
you
for
the
great
work
that
you
do
in
the
work
you
do
with
us.
So
Bernadette
ruin
director
of
the
presentation.
Community
center
has
been
a
key
contributor
to
the
betterment
of
the
Austin
brain
community.
E
For
the
past
three
years,
Bernadette
has
coordinated
the
Oak
Square
farmers
market,
which
brings
local
sustainable
products
into
the
community.
Also
in
conjunction
with
district
14
and
other
local
groups,
Bernadette
has
been
a
key
collaborator
for
several
outdoor
movie
nights
with
residents.
The
farmers
market
and
movie
nights
provides
residents
an
opportunity
to
come
together
and
meet
offices
and
their
neighbors
Bernadette's
commitment
and
dedication
to
the
community
in
willingness
to
collaborate
with
district
14
has
truly
made
her
a
champion
of
the
Austin
brain
community
and
made
this
community
a
safer
place
without
a
doubt.
E
D
E
E
Just
I
just
want
to
say:
I
I
grew
up
in
South
Boston
I
went
to
Gator
heaven
Church,
along
with
the
sisters
of
dr.
Tom.
My
first
role.
Models
at
school
were
the
sisters
of
st.
joseph´s
and
I
find
it
amazing
that
that
many
years
later,
in
a
different
neighborhood
in
the
city,
I
want
to
hear
my
sister,
but
many
years
later,
that
once
again
or
you
know
we,
the
Boston
Police,
found
it
just
a
14.
We
feel
the
impact
of
what
you
and
the
sisters
doing
and
between
the
appreciated
was.
E
You
know
when
I
think
of
what
you're
doing
with
the
relishing
program.
I.
Think
of
you
know
the
words,
inclusion
and
compassion
come
to
mind
and
for
those
groups
that
sometimes
need
the
most
help.
I
know
the
sisters
are
there
to
step
up
and
we're
truly
appreciative
that
so
it
is
a
little
sister
for
over
30
years
and
under
the
guidance
of
the
sisters
of
st.
josephs,
the
literacy
connection
program
has
been
committed
to
teaching
low-income
adult
immigrants
English
as
a
second
language.
Also
through
the
program
the
sisters
prepare
in
the
for
US
citizenship.
E
The
program
has
students
from
over
30
countries.
It
provides
free
free
of
charge
in
environment
where
the
students
feel
safe
and
accepted.
This
truly
is
a
program
of
inclusion,
an
ideal
shared
by
the
Boston
Police
Department
district
14
is
working
with
the
systems
to
mean
agree
which
students
to
provide
an
opportunity
to
interact
with
our
police
officers.
The
sisters
willingness
to
collaborate
and
share
with
district
14
in
all
the
community
groups
is
a
wonderful
example
of
what
makes
Austin
bring
the
special
place.
These
reasons
are
more.
We
would
like
to
honor
the
system
to
st.
E
F
E
G
So
if
we
could
just
have
everybody
take
a
couple
of
minutes,
we
really
just
want
to
give
Scott
this
certificate
of
appreciation
for
all
the
work.
He's
done,
these
big
cakes
for
a
bunch
of
different
organizations
across
the
city
across
the
district.
That's
really
really
really
what
brought
a
lot
of
people
together.
So
we
really
appreciate
it
so,
on
behalf
of
Captain
Paul
Russell,.
G
G
26
years
at
the
Veronica
Smith
Senior
Center
Lily's
been
fantastic
as
far
as
helping
us
out
bringing
the
seniors
on
to
a
bunch
of
different
events,
really
really
giving
us
the
space
and
the
facility
up
here
to
really
appreciate
it
and
in
honor
of
you
retiring
wanted
to
recognize
you
great
work.
Thank.
