From YouTube: National Night Out 2022: North End
Description
After a three year hiatus, Boston's National Night Out is back and better than ever! Mayor Wu, Elected Officials, Boston Police Officers, and Community Leaders gathered across twelve different Boston neighborhoods, as part of a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships.
A
Good
evening,
everyone
thank
you
for
joining
us
on
national
night
out.
I
just
want
to
quickly
again
say
thank
you
to
all
of
our
vendors
regina's
pizza,
our
board
members,
doing
slush
all
the
various
boston,
police
and
transit
authorities.
Here
are
transit
police,
not
authorities,
but
I'd
like
to
quickly
introduce
our
honorable
mayor,
michelle
wu
who's
on
our
stop
with
national
night
out,
so
we're
very
appreciative
that
she
took
it
into
her
time
to
stop
by
today.
A
I
know
it's
been
a
busy
and
hot
day
for
her
and
her
staff,
so
we're
really
grateful
for
her
to
come
and
join
us
tonight.
So
with
that
said,
please
welcome
mayor
wu.
Thank.
B
B
B
Gonna
hit
up
the
people
too.
Thank
you
so
much
for
all
that
you
all
do
day
in
and
day
out
for
our
city
for
our
neighborhoods.
This
is
the
first
time
we've
been
back
with
national
night
out
since
the
pandemic,
so
I
know
it's
taken
a
little
bit
to
get
all
the
preparations
ready,
and
I
want
to
thank
so
much
our
community
members,
our
neighborhood
leaders
and
boston
police
for
organizing
all
of
this.
Thank
you
for
all
of
your
hard
work.
B
B
B
Our
chief
of
community
engagement
here
is
here
somewhere
as
well.
Brianna
mellor.
B
And
another
cabinet
member
director
of
the
office
of
police,
accountability
and
transparency
director
stephanie
everett.
Thank
you
for
your
service.
I
get
to
serve
every
day
alongside
incredible
colleagues
at
the
city,
state
and
federal
level.
So
I'll
just
shout
out
a
few
of
them
and
I
can't
remember
whose
turn
it
is
to
speak
after
this,
but
we
can
rock
paper
scissors
rachel.
So
thank
you
for
your
service
and
thank
you
for
joining
us
city.
Council,
ricardo
arroyo
summit,
county
sheriff,
steve
thompkins
district
attorney,
kevin
hayden,
u.s
attorney,
rachel
rollins.
B
And,
of
course,
your
north
end,
neighborhood
liaison.
C
Thank
you
mayor.
I
will
be
very
quick.
I
had
the
pleasure
of
working
a
lot
in
the
north
end
when
I
ran
for
suffolk,
d.a
and
now
I'm
here
as
the
united
states
attorney,
and
we
are
only
here
with
the
u.s
marshals,
to
show
our
support
to
the
local
law
enforcement
people
who
do
the
work
every
single
day
at
the
municipal
level,
at
the
local
city
level
and
at
the
state
level.
We
want
you
to
know.
Your
federal
partners
are
here
aged
at
striga
last
year,
so
I
love
the
north
end.
D
Evening
everybody,
I'm
captain
bob
ciccolo,
I'm
your
district
captain.
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor
for
her
support
mike
my
boss
is
my
command
staff
for
the
way
they
support
supported
me
in
the
last
two
years
that
I've
been
your
captain,
our
elected
officials,
who
have
all
been
wonderful
anything
we
need.
We
asked
for
and
helped
us
out,
and
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
the
support
you've,
given
us
you're,
the
ones
who
support
us.
You
know
and
we
need
and
value
that
support.
E
Thank
you
mayor,
thank
you.
So
we
have
an
award
to
give
out
tonight.
So
while
we
don't
really
formally
have
a
public
safety
committee
at
this
time
in
the
not,
then
it
doesn't
mean
that
we
don't
have
people
that
do
the
work,
and
so
we
do
work
very
closely
with
the
police.
E
That's
all
right:
community
service
officer,
frank,
frank,
champa.
We
work
very
closely
with
him,
we're
not
then
against
drugs,
david
partners
with
us
for
32
years
since
we've
been
here
so
this
award
is
a
neighborhood
watch.
E
2022
and
it's
a
community
service
award
in
recognition
of
outstanding
success
in
koran
prevention
activities
that
serve
as
an
inspiration
to
others
to
keep
up
the
fight
against
crime
in
boston,
given
out
tonight
national
night
out
august,
2nd
2022,
this
young
man,
while
not
directly
in
crime
prevention,
but
the
activities
that
he
runs
in
this
neighborhood
for
the
youth
of
our
neighborhood
is
outstanding.
He's
the
president
of
not
then
against
drugs.
He's
the
commissioner
of
militant
athletic
association,
baseball
league.
