C
Is
being
presented
by
james
mcgaffigan
senior
project
manager
with
pfd
vote
number
two
concerns
an
amendment
to
the
vote
of
february
12
2020
regarding
a
contract
with
hill
international
incorporated
to
provide
owner
project
manager
or
opm
services
associated
with
the
william
e
carter
school
project
located
at
northampton
street.
In
the
south
end.
This
request
is
for
an
increase
of
two
million
one
hundred
eighty
thousand
two
hundred
and
sixty
seven
dollars
through
the
opm's
services
contract
for
the
time
extension
of
the
contract's
expiration
date
through
december
19
2025,
mr
mcgaffigan.
F
Good
morning,
commissioners
and
I'm
here
to
request
the
public
facilities
commission
approval
to
amend
the
owners,
project
management
services
contract
to
hill
international
for
the
new,
william
e
cotter
school
project.
The
project
began
in
2019,
with
the
owners
project
manager,
selection
of
hill
international.
To
complete
the
feasibility
study.
The
city
has
submitted
the
schematic
design
to
the
massachusetts
school
building
authority.
F
F
F
F
Just
shows
the
project
team.
As
you
know,
the
bottom
is
hill
international's
project
management.
The
second
show
a
second
slide.
Rather,
this
shows
this
is
the
schedule
of
where
we're
at
in
the
project
right
now,
so
we're
at
the
schematic
design
phase.
The
next
step
will
be
going
for
msba
approval
in
august
august
21st.
F
F
If
you
could
go
to
the
next
slide,
please
so
this
is
this
show
in
particular,
this
shows
the
mbta
right-of-way,
and
this
is
where
hill
international,
the
most
helpful
we're
going
to
be
required
to
have
licensing
agreements
with
construction
so
close
to
the
tracks,
and
he
was
well
versed
in
the
right
of
way
with
the
mbta
and
the
the
schedules
required
and
documents.
So,
with
that
I'd
like
to
request
the
public
facilities
department,
respectfully
request
the
commission's
approval
for
this
amendment
vote.
B
Just
one
more
curiosity
on
your
plan,
you
show
a
zone
of
influence
of
30
feet,
though
the
easement
area
is
like
10
feet.
What
does
that
zone
of
influence
mean
for
the
t
hat.
F
So
that
would
be
like,
for
instance,
if
we
had
a
crane
over
the
site,
I
would
have
to
we'd
have
to
get
permission
from
the
mbta
to
schedule
any
kind
of
work
activities.
Let
them
know
what's
going
on,
they
could
get
quite
like
a
flag
man
directing
the
trains
at
certain
periods.
B
C
Vote
number
two
is
hereby
approved.
Vote
number
three
is
also
being
presented
by
mr
mcgaffigan
vote.
Number
three
concerns
an
amendment
to
the
vote
of
february
12
2020
regarding
a
contract
with
perkins,
and
will
architects
incorporated
to
provide
design
services
associated
with
the
william
carter
school
project
located
at
396
northhampton
street
south
end.
This
request
is
for
an
increase
of
six
million
eight
hundred
fifty
seven
thousand
eight
dollars
to
the
design
services
contract
with
a
time
extension
to
the
contract's
expiration
date
through
december
19,
2025.
F
C
F
F
F
As
you
can
see,
it's
in
dire
need
of
some
repairs.
The
second
slide
is
conceptual
plan,
and
this
is
this
is
the
exciting
new
building
with
a
view
from
the
the
entrance.
This
is
an
eighty
six
thousand
one
hundred
and
thirty
square
foot.
Eighty
six
86
130
gross
square
foot
building,
as
you
can
see
the
rooftop,
it
has
a
rooftop
area
for
program
space,
some
green
space
to
the
side
and
I'm
getting
a
little
away
with
myself
here,
because
that
really
is
that
is
shown
on
the
third
slide.
F
F
You
have
a
the
the
fins
there
that
actually
is
for
shade
and
shaded
space
and,
as
you
can
see
down
in
the
ground
level,
that
that
is
open,
green
space,
that
from
that's
where
the
cafeteria
will
be
and
they'll
have
doors
that
can
open
to
the
green
space
for
for
additional
playtime
and
programming
activities.
F
A
F
Project
the
total
construction
is
estimated
at
68
million
and
sorry
so
they
think
the
estimate
right
now
is
I'm
sorry.
I'm
doing
this
off
the
top
of
my
it's
six.
