Description
Public Improvement Commission Hearings 8-23-18
A
A
The
Commission
hearing
of
August
23rd
2018
first
item
of
business
is
to
note
that
the
minutes
from
the
previous
p
IC
meeting
August
9th
28
team
reviewed
and
approved
by
the
p
IC
team.
Our
first
public
hearing
item
is
on
a
joint
petition
by
broadway
and
a
street
LLC
and
the
planning
Boston
planning
and
development
agency
for
the
vertical
discontinuance
of
portions,
of
the
following
public
waves
in
South,
Boston
vertically,
above
and
below
the
grades
of
the
sidewalks.
This
was
new
business
on
July
12
2018,
the
locations
are
West
Broadway
on
its
south
westerly
side.
A
It
addresses
number
79,
89,
southeast
of
a
street
and
a
street
on
in
southeast
Lisa
at
south
west
of
Broadway.
The
zest
shown
on
a
set
of
plans
entitled
city
of
Boston,
Public,
Works,
Department
engineering
division,
discontinuance
plans,
79-80
Nine,
West
Broadway,
a
Street
South
Boston
three
sheets
at
a
June
29th
2018
morning.
B
Hi,
I'm
jay
carroll
with
howard
stein,
hudson
the
civil
engineer
for
this
team
with
me
as
Doug
Stephan
above
Stefano
of
Architects
and
Steve
Higgins,
representing
Broadway,
and
a
street
LLC.
We
also
have
gibe
yousa
here
to
support
any
traffic
related
questions,
so
this
is
79
89
West
Broadway.
We
are
at
the
intersection
of
West
Broadway
in
a
street,
we're
about
a
block
away
from
the
Broadway
tea,
stop
off
the
MBTA's
Red
Line.
The
existing
site
here
is
a
gas
station.
B
There's
two
curb
cuts
on
West
Broadway,
one
on
a
street
and
the
proposed
development
here
is
going
to
be
a
six
story:
mixed-use
building,
ground-floor
commercial
space,
the
upper
five
floors
are
residential
units.
We
have
an
88
below
grade
parking
garage
access
off
of
Silver
Street
and
two
accessible
spaces
at
gray
that
are
accessed
off
of
the
private
way
to
the
east
of
the
site.
A
So
moved
our
second
item
in
the
public
hearing
is
on
a
petition
by
Broadway
and
8th
Street
LLC
for
the
acceptance
of
pedestrian
easements
adjacent
to
the
following
public
ways
in
South
Boston,
a
street
on
its
southeasterly
side,
southwest
of
West,
Broadway
and
silver
Street
on
this
northeasterly
side
at
the
rear
of
79
89,
West,
Broadway,
generally
south
east
of
8th
Street.
This
was
new
business
on
July
12
2018.
A
B
The
pedestrian
easement
we're
reconstructing
the
sidewalks
all
around
the
site
to
an
agreement
with
BPD
a
we
needed,
a
seven
foot
wide
sidewalk
approaching
the
West
Broadway
in
a
street
corner.
So
we
are
asking
for
an
easement
of
about
one
about
a
foot
on
a
street
side
and
then
about
the
similar
dimension,
easement
on
the
silver
Street
side
to
be
able
to
have
a
minimum
five
foot
width,
sidewalk.
F
A
C
A
motion
to
approve
the
petition

Broadway

the
acceptance
of

to
the
following
public.

one

G
A
A
B
Far,
there
are
specific
repairs
for
a
street
and
silver
Street,
just
regular
reconstruction,
with
concrete
material
on
West
Broadway
we're
doing
five
new
proposed
Street
Street
tree
plantings
in
a
pervious,
paving
strip.
Seven
new
bike,
racks
and
I.
Looked
at
the
the
comment
from
last
time
about
putting
the
tree
in
front
of
that
entrance.
There
is
an
existing
light
pole,
that's
in
front
of
the
entrance
and
then,
if
we
and
then
trying
to
move
the
tree
was
going
to
end
up
losing
a
tree.
So
we
might
ended
up
keeping.
B
H
I
Back
here
and
handle
due
to
the
nature
of
silver
Street,
which
was
discontinued
at
the
years
ago,
in
order
to
get
to
Silver
Street,
you
have
to
come
down
this
private
way
and
take
a
right
turn.
Physically,
we
can
get
about
a
20-foot
box
truck
down
there,
so
that
kind
of
limits
that
limits
the
ability
to
handle
a
typical
Durban
move
in
about
tracker.
It's
a
condominium
building
65
units
trying
to
overrated
about
a
five
year
at
this
tent.
Without
we're
asking
for
on
street
permits.
I
H
I
I
J
E
Not
a
theory,
but
for
future
hearings
that
you
participate,
do
your
dimension
incorrectly
or
more
accurately.
We
don't
have
sidewalks
or
roadway
bits
of
12.95
feet.
Nor
do
we
want
sidewalk
with
self
5.03
feet.
The
points
even
creep
translates
to
0.36
of
an
inch
so
do
a
monocle
of
whatever
you
enjoy,
that
the
parents
do
reflect
the
reality
and
what
the
construction
will
be.
Yeah.

Thank

Our
next
item
is
on
a
petition
by
Equity

for
the
granting
of
a

for
the
installation
of
a
temporary
earth

L
Geotechnical

insane

weird
two
weeks
ago
for
this:
the
project
site.
It's
the
new
West
End
tower
at
the
site
of
the
old
garden
garage
on
the
mast
II
way
across
from
colonial
building,
got
nasty
way,
marked
the
road
on
one
side
and
row
path.
On
the
other
side,
all
public
ways,
it's
gonna
be
a
new
residential
tower
with
a
five
level
underground
parking
garage,
so
we
had
previously
had
supportive
excavation
approved,
but
a
year
ago,
October
5th
we've
made
some
revisions.
L
So
that's
why
we're
back
and
we
haven't
come
to
the
AC
for
specific
repairs.
Yet
we
do
anticipate
doing
that
in
the
future.
One
of
the
comments
from
the
last
hearing
was
that
we
need
to
do
pre.
Video
inspection,
Mike
Nelson
made
that
comment.
So
we've
submitted
that
to
him
he's
okay,
he's
such
an
email,
Tammy,
Todd,.
E
H
M
M
The
temporary
sov
until
installed
they've
got
the
flow
fill
and
the
caffeine
that
low.
So
the
idea
in
the
eloise
to
prevent
us
take
encroaching
outside
the
CNP.
There
is
a
section
over
that
type.
You
know
where
the
traffic
controllers
have
made
me
to
be
reloading,
look
relocated
to
its
permanent
location,
so
that
would
be
the
only
and
I
see
at
this
time.
It's.

Morning,
thank
you
very
much
for
having
us.
My
name
is
Deborah

I'm

I'm
a
project
manager
there
I'm
joined
today.
So
am
I
right
by
John,
John
Hanlon.
Excuse
me
if
I
said
that
incorrectly
with
the
Boston
Public
Schools
next
to
him,
we
have
Joe
Brown
who's,
the
project
architect
with
Perkins
Eastman
and
then
Jim
McQueen
from
the
Boston
public
facilities
department,
we're
here
to
discuss
our
project.
O
It's
the
Boston
Public
Schools
Boston
Arts
Academy,
located
at
174
tips,
which
Street
the
city
is
proposing
to
demolish
the
existing
building
to
build
a
brand-new
High
School
in
the
same
location.
The
existing
building
is
four
storeys
ish,
with
a
little
bit
of
a
penthouse
going
up
to
five
storeys.
The
new
school
will
provide
better
accommodations
overall,
as
a
part
of
that,
our
first
request
we're
going
to
be
proposing
as
heard
a
highway
discontinuance
for
this
area
will
also
be
proposing
some
sidewalk
modifications
and
improvements,
as
well
as
vertical
discontinuance
for
the
proposed
building.
O
O
We
were
requesting
a
discontinuance
area
ranging
between
five
and
a
half
feet.
Excuse
me
closer
to
seven
and
a
half
feet
in
front
of
the
building.
This
will
serve
to
not
only
kind
of
clean
up
what
already
exists
at
the
site.
There's
an
existing
basement
in
the
portion
of
the
building,
which
has
some
footings,
which
project
outside
of
the
property
line,
so
we're
going
to
encompass
those
footings
within
that
property
line,
as
well
as
the
new
footings
for
the
building.
Excuse
me
and
not
the
property
line.
O
This
will
be
within
the
new
highway
discontinuance
area
and
outside
of
the
current
property
line.
The
other
thing
that
this
will
allow
us
to
do
is
there
are
some
portions
of
the
building
that
project
over
the
property
line.
There
are
also
some
fins
on
the
building,
just
aesthetically,
to
be
there
and
then,
more
importantly,
at
the
front
main
entrance,
which
is
near
the
curve
of
Ipswich
Street
in
order
to
get
up
into
the
building,
there's
a
small
set
of
stairs
and
then
an
accessible
walkway.
O
E
O
P
P
J
E
O
Absolutely
we
we
didn't
want
to
get
too
greedy
with
what
we
were
taking
in
all
honesty,
where
we're
at
the
five
and
a
half
feet
that
allows
us
to
encapsulate.
Basically,
the
areas
that
we
need
to
below
great
in
above
grade
the
bump
out
to
the
closer
to
seven
and
a
half
feet
is
that
area
I
mentioned
where
we
have
the
stairs
up
into
the
building?
So
that's
literally
at
grade
there
are
some
stairs
some
railings
and
then
kind
of
the
ramp
wall
area.
O

O
It's
kind
of
on
the
easterly
side
of
this
page
on
the
north
side.
So
currently,
there's
about
fifty
four
feet
wide
of
actual
paved
with
and
Ipswich
Street,
which
at
this
point,
there's
parking
on
both
sides
of
the
street.
In
generally
one
lane
of
traffic.
Each
way
we're
proposing
in
order
to
you
know,
provide
a
little
bit
more
of
a
buffer
for
the
students
as
well
as
more
sidewalk.
O
What
for
when
games
are
happening
to
bump
the
southern
sidewalk
out
seven
feet
further
to
provide
a
little
bit
more
of
a
landscape
strip
through
their
their
existing
Street
trees,
which
we
are
proposing
to
remove
and
we've
had
approved
through
the
parks
department
in
their
street
tree
hearing
process.
We're
proposing
to
install
new
street
trees
as
well
as
a
four-foot,
wide
pervious
pavers
strip
in
that
amenity
strip.
They'll
also
be
some
benches
and
seating
for
people
as
well
as
new
streetlights.
O
There
will
be
tree
or
irrigation
and
that
and
brand
new
granite,
curb
as
you
work
from
the
granite,
curb
back
towards
the
building,
we're
providing
a
minimum
of
an
8
foot
wide
cement,
concrete
walk.
Portions
of
this
do
get
wider
as
you
get
closer
to
the
building,
depending
on
whether
or
not
we're
near
those
stairs
that
we
previously
spoke
about
as
part
of
the
highway
easement.
O
Some
of
the
the
other
items
that
we're
proposing
is
at
the
intersection
with
Van
Ness
Street.
Currently,
it's
a
pretty
wide
open
space
and
there
are
pedestrian
crosswalks,
there's
one
apex
ramp
existing
that
goes
to
both
sides
of
the
street,
which
ultimately
make
very
long
crosswalks
for
pedestrians.
So
we're
working
to
propose
some
bump
outs
in
that
area
to
kind
of
streamline
the
the
traffic
coming
from
venice
street,
as
well
as
give
pedestrians
a
little
bit
shorter
crossing
distance.
O
Some
of
the
homework
that
we
had
from
our
new
business
hearing
included
looking
at
the
street
trees
and
seeing
how
well
they
would
function
given
its
right
near
high
school
in
your
fenway.
The
parks
department
didn't
seem,
have
any
issues
with
what
we
were
proposing
and
was
on
board
with
the
streets
of
trees
that
we
had.
O
E
E
O
O
E
M
E
The
balancing
act
to
provide
safe
pedestrian
passage
versus
adequate
road
surface
so
that
emergency
vehicles
can
actually
park
and
do
their
business
in
case
if
there
should
be
a
awkward
moment,
the
ball
park.
So
that
is
what
mister
Boozer
needs
to
do
with
the
two
engineering
teams
to
ensure
that
we
haven't
shortened
these
curves
for
the
singular
purpose
of
providing
safe
pedestrian
passage,
even
though
that
is
highly
desirable.
It's
that
balancing
that
needs
to
be
done.
I.
H
Understand,
okay,
so
I
just
want
to
make
a
point
that
you
know
the
item,
that's
being
voted
for
here.
I
think
we
could
go
forward
with
that
and
based
on
the
lining
rate
and
widths
and
sub-layer,
but
the
programming
of
the
markings
of
parking,
the
bike
lanes
that
definitely
might
be
part
of
this
vote.
That.
I
F
Q
A
Note,
but
we
are
likely
purchasing
a
set
of
somewhat
standard
benches
for
various
areas
across
the
city.
I
noticed
you
have
benches
in
here,
if
you
guys
are
maintaining
the
benches.
That
is
great.
If
you
want
to
use
the
city
standard,
just
contact
us
before
you
install
the
benches
that
would
probably
be
closer
to
the
spring
of
next
year.
When
we'll
have
that
standard
identified.
A
Give
your
top
any
questions
accounts
nevers.
The
public
I'll
entertain
a
motion
on
this
item
with
recognizing
this
is
before
the
specific
repair
plant
as
it
was
presented.
No
in
this
additional
conversations
need
happen
between
the
boss
of
Transportation
Department
and
your
team
around
the
specifics
of
the
actual
program
for
the
street
itself.
A
Our
next
item
is
on
a
joint
petition
by
the
city
of
Boston
public
facilities,
Department
in
the
bustle
of
schools,
really
granting
earth
retention
license
for
the
installation
of
a
temporary
support
system
with
an
ape
switch.
Street
Boston
Proper
located
address
number
174
generally
across
from
Van
Ness
Street.
This
was
new
business
on
August,
9th
2018
and
assessed
shown
on
a
plan
entitled
city
of
Boston
Public
Works,
Department
engineering
division
license
plan
temporary
Earth's
retention
system
174.
If
switch
Street
in
Boston
once
she
did,
it
may
10th
2018.
Thank.
O
You,
my
name,
is
Deborah
Janek
I'm
with
niche
engineering.
I
would
actually
respectfully
request
to
withdraw
this
application
with
talking
with
the
construction
manager
for
this
project,
we
feel
confident
that
we
can
fit
the
temporary
earth
support
systems
that
we
need
within
that
five
and
a
half
foot
wide
highway
easement
that
was
previously
awarded.
We
did
have
one
full
question
regarding
the
there
will
be
some
form
of
temporary
or
support
within
there.
We
did
have
one
question
regarding
that
at
the
last
hearing
from
Commissioner
Nelson.
O
E
O
Q
Q
The
first
phase
was
started
at
the
beginning
of
2016
and
is
going
to
be
the
core
shell
of
the.
The
first
phase
is
going
to
be
complete
by
the
end
of
this
year,
and
that
is
a
office
and
retail
podium
and
a
below-grade
parking
garage.
The
second
phase,
which
is
also
currently
under
construction,
is
a
residential
and
tower
in
a
hotel
component,
and
that
is
scheduled
to
complete.
N
C
Q
S
Morning,
commissioners,
my
name
is
Lisa
Chow
with
VHB.
The
project
team
has
continued
to
work
with
p
IC
staff,
the
mayor's
office
for
persons
with
disabilities
and
BBT
a
staff
members
since
the
new
business
hearing
date
on
August
9th.
The
plan
has
changed
since
news,
but
new
business
hearing
date
to
reflect
the
comments
that
we
received
from
these
three
agencies.
S
E
S
E
At
this
amazing
project,
you
need
to
sort
of
finish
up
whatever
it
has
been
left,
including
that
crosswalk
I'm
not
trying
to
hop
on
the
crosswalk.
But
if
you
look
at
what's
happening
in
front
of
the
city
hall
government
set
it,
you
know,
because
that
gigantic
crosswalk
that
goes
in
front
of
this
Sam
Adams
statue
and
by
law,
the
walk
light
or
the
pedestrian
light,
is
something
about.
E
You
know
this
is
in
a
crosswalk,
that's
about
20
feet,
so
we
need
to
rethink
this
type
of
signage,
including
the
electronics,
to
make
sure
that
we
are
providing
a
safe
passage.
So
hopefully,
this
mr.
this
is
where
you
come
in.
We
are
not
just
adhering
to
the
basic
immunity
guidelines
by
putting
something
that
is
about
a
foot
by
foot,
walk
light
that
may
be
on
a
pole
that
is
beyond
the
eyesight
of
someone
and
expect
holes
of
traffic
to
safely
cross
this
area.
So
eventually
came
it
made
me
work
the
Canal
Street
project.
Q
We
have
at
the
entrance
to
the
project.
There
is.
Are
you
looking
at
this
kind
of
steel
structure?
I
mean
it's
constructed
out
there
today
you
brought,
you
may
have
seen
it.
There
is
signage
on
that.
There's
it's
sort
of
depicted
in
this
rendering
there's
a
TD
garden
design
and
there's
a
North
Station
sign
on
that
trust
structure.
Q
Is
it
digital?
We
have
not
currently
proposed
a
digital
sign,
although
we
do.
We
have
done
some
preliminary
planning
on
a
potential
digital
element
that
you
know
might
serve
as
a
marquee
to
the
to
the
arena,
but
we
have
it
like.
We
haven't
presented
that
plan
or
reviewed
that
plan
with
the
city
at
all.
So
that
is
a
potential
future
edition,
but
we.
F
Q
It's
actually
sort
of
illustrated
as
this
glowing
blank,
but
that's
this
is
a
in
this
rendering
showed
me.
The
actual
science
that's
been
submitted
to
the
city,
which
does
include
the
TD
Garden,
and
it
does
include
my
station
of
signage
but
does
not
include
any
digital
signage
at
this
point.
Obviously,.
A
Similar
bars
for
the
for
something
which
Madras
was
also
raised
in
previous
conversations.
This
is
a
fantastic
end
of
Canal
Street.
It's
going
to
be
it's
going
to
be
a
destination.
We
do
want
to
make
sure
that
that
crossing
from
canal
into
champions
way,
our
champions
row
is
safe,
for
everybody
works
for
the
thousands
of
people
who
are
going
down
causeway
and
across
that
Davers
me
to
make
you
want,
make
sure
we
get
that
right.
It's
up
there.
E
Even
on
Atlantic,
you
know
where
the
Marriott
is
when
you
come
out
of
Fanueil
Hall,
if
you're
walking
towards
because
this
gigantic
crosswalk
with
one
tiny
one
walk
life
which
is
properly
sized.
But
when
you
compare
its
location
and
the
width
of
the
crosswalk,
you
can't
see
in
the
throngs
of
people
so
being
in
the
ambition,
the
placement
of
these
fog
lights,
because
people
are
just
going
to
cross.
E
You
just
want
to
minimize
any
awkwardness
in
the
future,
so
that
is
where
the
simplicity
is
coming
to
create
an
urban
space
so
that
we
can
put
supplemental
poles
appropriately
spaced,
so
that
the
pole
in
itself
doesn't
look
ugly,
I
kind
of
blend
in
the
walk
light.
Pole
sometimes
loses
its
functionality.
Q
So
throughout
the
excavation
I
mean
this
was
the
before
it
was
the
railroad
terminus.
It
was
part
of
a
the
canal
system,
and
so
there
were
some
granite
blocks
that
were
the
original
sort
of
ship
walls
that
were
found
throughout
the
excavation
and
we
preserved
a
bunch
of
those
and
we'll
be
putting
them
back
on
the
other
side
boxes.
Michael
answer.
F
F
A
A
So
moved.
Thank
you
so
much.
Our
next
item
is
on
a
petition
by
changing
environmental
or
sufen
for
the
making
of
specific
repairs
within
the
following
public
way,
as
in
Boston
Proper,
consisting
of
new
digital
wayfinding
community
information
bulletin
boards.
This
was
new
business
on
August,
9th
2018.
The
locations
are
Brookline
Avenue
on
in
South
East,
Lee
side
southwest
of
Jersey
stream,
Lansdowne
Street
on
us
northerlies
side,
West
of
Ipswich
Street,
Jersey
Street
on
the
north
east
east
side,
southeast
of
Boylston
Street.
T
The
master
plan
that
you
had
asked
for
for
future
developments,
so
I'm
going
to
start
off
with
our
definition
of
a
pilot
and
then
hand
it
over
to
a
true
classic
to
want
to
run
us
through
the
site
changes
that
we
made
space
under
recommendation
so
before
anything
should
be
rolled
out
in
a
big
fashion
where
a
lot
of
money
is
spent.
A
lot
of
time
is
spent
it's
important
to
look
at
the
feasibility
and
for
us
this
is
an
extension
of
this
pilot
to
answer
questions
around.
T
How
can
we
bring
community
messaging
boards
that
are
supported
by
sponsorships
to
areas
that
are
accessible
for
everyone
at
the
same
types
of
models?
Question
is
know
who's
going
to
pay
and,
at
the
end
of
the
day,
changing
environments.
Making
this
investment,
and
in
order
for
us
to
determine
feasibility
of
a
bigger
rollout,
we
actually
need
to
go
and
see
what
happens
when
we
crease
density
in
an
area
like
Fenway.
Does
that
increase
the
potential
for
sponsorship
and
Shak
goodness?
T
What
are
the
implications
and
a
transit
hub
like
Ashmont
and
being
able
to
really
show
real-time
transit
on
a
pedestrian
level?
And
then?
Thirdly,
how
can
we
take
that
Main
Street
approach
and
really
bring
infrastructure?
That
is
like
the
low
demand
republic
right
away
to
Main
streets
all
over
Boston
and
so
that
those
elements
for
us
are
important
to
prove
the
feasibility
of
a
larger
rollout.
So
that's
what
our
definition
of.
F
F
E
We
love
what
you're
doing
so.
Please,
please,
don't
misunderstand
anything
which
I'm
going
to
be
asking
you,
but
ten
locations,
twenty
locations,
scattered
demographically
around
the
city.
Your
definition
of
a
pilot
would
be
how
many
like
how
many
of
these
will
need
to
be.
How
many
of
these
will
you
need
to
install
so
that
you
will
have
one
of
the
following?
E
You
will
have
a
better
understanding
of
how
Boston
works
and,
since
you
said
that
you
have
a
presence
in
other
major
markets,
how
you
can
attract
a
better
source
of
advertisers
amateur
than
speaking
the
language
correctly,
but
I
think
you
understand
what
is
it
that
I'm
saying?
So
what
is
the
number
of
probable
locations
you
need
to
try
out
in
Boston
before
from
a
marketing
sales
perspective,
you
can
make
enviable
imposter
plus
attractive
national
advertisers.
H
H
T
But
again
you
have
to
figure
out
a
way
of
like
being
able
to
cover
financially
areas
where
there's
going
less
interest
in
sponsorship
models
right,
and
so
one
of
the
things
that
we
need
to
see
is
like,
with
a
four
sponsor
to
be
more
attracted
to
like
support,
something
like
that.
There's
also
specific
density
dents
needed.
We
did
include
a
analysis
of
the
orange
bar
media
signs
within
the
package.
I
T
So
one
of
the
things
in
terms
of
features
that
designs
were
promised
was
real
time,
so
we
had
multiple
days
people
from
our
team
looking
at
what
is
actually
going
on
at
these
signs-
and
we
see
here
very
loud-
very
distracting
content
fear
towards
pedestrians.
From
an
example
taken
on
the
22nd,
the
transit
information
is
actually
shown
for
less
than
15
seconds.
It's
a
very
complicated
visual
to
even
grasp
what
transit
mode
is
coming
when
which
gets
completely
wiped
out
by
7
ads.
T
That
then
run
so
it
is
almost
nearly
impossible
figuring
out
what
transit
options
are
there.
The
super
science,
however,
have
25%
at
all
times,
transit
or
Community
Information
and
are
at
the
Destry
11,
where
people
actually
can
utilize
them
and
in
terms
of
the
yeah,
so
I
think
it's
just
it's
not
it's
not
Apple
to
Apple
it's
a
different
ID.
F
U
J
U
And
so
it's
every
month,
rotating
through
pop-ups,
there's
no
way
for
that
pop-up
store,
no
matter
which
one
it
is
to
get
their
ad
to
get
their
name
on
this
billboard
by
our
internal
media
and
I
talked
to
them.
I
said:
how
do
you
guys
reach
the
neighborhood
you're
an
amazing
little
pop-up?
You
are
in
the
van
that's
building
in
Fenway.
You
have
all
these
people
coming
for
games
coming
for
concerts.
How
do
you
reach
them?
The
best
answer
they
can
give
me
was.
We
have
to
use
social
media.
U
Which
they
may
as
well
have
that,
but
but
it
it
doesn't,
even
if
I'm
a
local
business
who
is
trying
to
do
a
pop-up
shop
for
one
month,
one
month
shot
that
getting
people
to
come
to
my
store.
There
is
no
way
for
this
woman
who's
running
that
to
go
to
our
apparel
media
and
simply
say
I.
Have
this
content
I
want
to
post
it
up,
because
it's
healthy
community
content,
I,
don't
believe
it's
gonna
happen
in
one
month.
U
Neighborhood
but
but
I
want
to
stress
here
what
makes
us
different
and
I'm
again
I'm
taking
this
from
a
residence
perspective.
If
we
do
not
change
how
this
billboard
looks
and
feels
we're
going
to
get
more
and
more
of
these
Jerell
science,
all
around
the
neighborhood
there's
already
build
works
designated
just
all
around
for
car
traffic
and
I'm.
The.
U
Digital
neighborhood
community-
and
that
is
the
simplicity
and
ease
of
what
we're
trying
to
do
and
I
speak
from
passionately
about
this,
because
I
live
in
the
neighborhood
and
I
see
this
I
ask
people
yesterday.
This
is
this.
Is
me
and
out
there
with
my
dog,
photographing
the
sign
and
asking?
What
would
you
know?
What
do
you
think
about
this?
T
Dude
there
is
a
need
for
communication,
and
so
back
to
the
question
around
the
pilot.
I
think
we're
all
you're
in
agreement.
Signage
needs
to
change
and
we
need
to
figure
out
ways
that
are
feasible
from
a
financing
perspective,
feasible
from
a
Content
perspective
usable
by
everyone
and
easy
for
the
public
right
away.
T
H
Agreement
with
that
also
I
mean
I
know
you
can
do
other
area
back
pains
like
what
I'm
saying
in
this
particular
location.
It's
already
overdone
I
mean,
as
you
pointed
out,
the
size
in
these.
These
boards
were
just
adding
more
sign
pollution
in
the
area
and
I
understand
you
talked
about.
You
know
the
ocular
versus
pedestrian,
but
they're
really,
you
know
their
main,
who
they're
looking
for
that
orange
row?
Is
the
pedestrian
population?
F
E
J
E
E
E
The
only
thing
I
want
to
share
is
that
there's
equity
in
your
product
throughout
the
city
leave
it
too
long
to
see
how
things
don't
go
a
credible
way
where
it
is
completely
market
driven
and
unfortunately
not.
Fortunately,
our
citizens
live
throughout
the
city
and
we
don't
say
by
income
bracket,
that's
where
they
live,
so
the
services
which
we
have
to
provide
within
the
public
space
that
needs
to
be
equity
in
that
system.
T
T
We're
all
main
street's
representatives
were
there
and
we're
working
with
all
of
them.
What
the
timelines
can
look
like
and
the
ones
that
we
chose
were
the
ones
where
it's
just
like
the
fact
like
they
also
have.
You
know,
processes
and
things
that
they're
building
and
you
know,
and
agenda
items,
so
we're
ready
and
willing
to
go
into
each
one
of
those
main
streets
that
we
have
in
our
master
plan
for
where
we
see
the
vision
going.
F
E
E
N
E
Many
indicators
so
like
to
see
the
profit
integration
means
a
lot
which
we
may
be
asking
a
few,
but
it's
a
great
thing
for
our
seniors.
We
want
to
be
supportive
of
you
and
then
partnership
distribution
had
the
right
to
ask
for
that
partnership
because
you
are,
unlike
that,
billboard
sign
that,
maybe
on
a
private
building
which
it's
regulated
by
our
branding
agency.
This
is
public
space.
K
K
V
A
V
T
So
we
look
at
what
content
also
is
within
the
neighborhood
and
how
much
is
going
on
there.
So
the
purpose
really
is
almost
does
like
slow
content
movement
like
we
don't
rotate
very
quickly
to
the
content.
It's
almost
more
really
like
a
poster,
and
so
we
change
every
2
minutes.
What's
on
the
kind
of
top
75
percent,
basically
look
at
how
many
local
businesses
in
the
area
are
interested
in
putting
another
pop-up
on
there
and
one
of
the
things
that
we've
noticed
this
leg.
T
Within
the
same
way,
we
have
actually
a
lot
of
demand
from
from
the
local
content
side
of
things.
Last
time
we
were
here,
we
mentioned
FEMA
reached
out
to
us
as
well
on
a
happy
note
we're
getting
a
lot
of
great
content
where
the
buses
now
and,
however,
we
do
need
to
cross
finance
the
community
content
and
so
I
think
we
we
take
an
approach
of
experience,
design
we'll
go
through
the
neighborhood
and
kind
of
spend
a
lot
of
time
there
and
we
look
at
like
how
proud
it
was
of
seal
I
know.
T
This
is
not
a
very
quantitative
answer,
but
I
mean
it's
been
a
landscape
architect
throughout
his
entire
career
and
really
caring
about
how
our
public
spaces
look
like
and
everybody
they
bring
on
the
team.
Has
that
same
philosophy,
and
you
would
never
know
so
people
ask
us
why
don't
you
have
two
screens
on
each
side
like
you
know?
Why?
Don't
you
maximize
really?
What
not?
That's
not
really
what
we're
about
the
back
is
the
waistline
a
final,
and
so
we
in
terms
of
density,
we
try
to
understand
what
does
it
like?
T
It
is
really
a
tool
for
citizens
like
we're,
trying
to
inform
them
about
cool
things
that
are
going
on,
and
so
then
the
question
is
when
you're
walking,
you
know
your
your
specific
walking
patterns.
How
can
you
make
sure
that
the
message
comes
across
of
the
wealth
of
events
that
are
happening
and
I
think
we
achieved
that
with
this
current
absolute.
T
H
H
U
The
neighborhood's
eyeballs
when
they
are
walking
from
their
home
to
their
transit
and
so
I,
took
this
today
to
get
here.
I
walked
from
Boylston
Street
up
through
past
Fenway
Park
password,
because
sign
location
would
go
to
get
to
ten
more
square
T
from
where
then
I
can
go
anywhere.
I
want
on
the
Green
Line
and.
U
The
middle
ground
right
you're
gonna,
have
locations
that
are
good
for
locals
on
certain
days.
You're
gonna
have
locations
that
are
good
for
visitors
of
other
days
and
can
we
find
the
best
locations
where
those
married
together
and
meet
the
needs
of
both
I
think
you?
You
had
asked
in
the
beginning,
other
markets
and
so
I
spend
it
love
spending
time
here,
but
I
also
spent
time
in
Atlanta
in
Atlanta.
We
have
now
after
Dan
and
I,
were
there
this
week,
10
different
neighborhoods
and
these
neighborhoods
are
diverse.
U
U
F
E
To
us
with
the
petition
that
is
in
the
other
spectrum
of
the
Atlanta's
example,
which
you
mentioned,
you
know
not
the
$9
to
spot
the
community
sign.
When
will
you
be?
You
know
our
city,
you
should
know
our
city.
When
will
you
be
in
a
position
to
come
to
us
with
a
petition
that
shows
the
totality
of
what
you
are
trying
to
do
so
far?
Everything
that
you
have
seen
to
me,
you
know
causes
me
to
ask
questions
and
I.
E
T
T
There
is,
for
example,
Pro
client
Bank,
and
they
need
like
a
marquee
sponsor,
and
then
you
can
just
say:
okay,
like
one
Main
Street,
they
have,
you
know
like
bikes,
have
branding
and
we
could
just
bring
it
into
into
the
so
Jose
Barth
who
was
on
board
and
I
are
actually
meeting
tomorrow
about
this
to
kind
of
push
it
a
little
bit
also
the
main
streets
that
you
know
our
bit
less
organized
and
say:
okay,
let's
do
this
and
here's
you
can
go
and
see
and
feel
it
in
the
public
right
away.
These
different
neighborhoods.
T
F
E
Garbage,
what's
a
nice
little
Sigma
soda
for
Savage,
so
we
started
off
with
one
and
it
suddenly.
People
green
I
see
let's
put
one
for
recycling
one
for
something
else,
but
the
singular
purpose
of
getting
a
larger
at
surface
so
that
it
is
more
marketable.
So
we
truly
understand
the
value
of
I
hate
stuff.
We
just
want
to
see
a
balanced
infiltration
of
our
city
so
that
this
is
not
one
neighborhood
versus
that's.
Also,
this
map
have
some
stuff
something
middle.
A
T
What
we
don't
want
to
do
is
something
get
tripped
up
in
an
RFP,
and
then
we
can
test
anything
for
six
months
nine
months
a
year
because
we're
in
the
middle
of
you
know
talking
about
the
big
grand
plan,
I
think
that's
one
of
the
strengths
that
Zuffa
has
that
we
can
actually
be
nimble.
We
can
move
things
around,
you
know
can
be
both
the
public
right
away
and
do
those
tests
quickly
and
I
think
one
of
the
reasons
why
we
didn't
come
with,
like
k1,
proposes
big
our
feed.
V
H
H
E
Us
to
help
you
dearly
I
mean
I'm,
trying
to
find
the
fibres
for
us
to
let
you
know
how
excited
we
are
in
the
product
which
you
have.
You
have
done
some
remarkable
thinking,
depolarizing
it
and
making
it
transportable
and
effectiveness
in
delivery.
So
thank
you
for
doing
that.
We
just
want
to
make
sure
that,
as
we,
some
really
really
great
ideas,
we
don't
have
disparity
in
our
city.
P
M
F
A
I
so
move.
Our
next
item
is
on
a
petition
by
changing
environments.
Inc
sue
fo
for
the
making
of
specific
repairs
within
the
following
public
ways
in
brighton,
consisting
of
new
digital
wayfinding,
community
information
bulletin
boards
locations,
our
Cambridge
Street
on
this
north
west
east
side,
northeast
of
Brighton
Avenue,
Brighton
Avenue
on
its
northerly
side,
east
of
Parkville
Avenue,
Harvard
Avenue
on
its
northeasterly
side,
southeast
of
Commonwealth
Avenue.
U
Last
time
so
I'll
start
with
the
change
for
location
D.
This
has
been
moved
down.
You
know
you're
coming
about
being
close
with
traffic
signal,
so
we've
moved
this
down
further
Cambridge
Street
and
that's
what
we're
seeing
here.
So
we
maintain
an
inn
and
a
half
without
evening
on
the
sidewalk.
We
also
see
their
existing
tree
wells
there.
U
So
we
don't
impact
the
current
inch
point
of
the
sidewalk
and
we
think
that
this
now
meets
those
those
requirements,
I
think
being
further
away
and
helping
enhance
the
vision,
zero
appreciate
that,
thank
you
and
then,
when
we
go
out
to
location,
F,
we've
done
the
same
thing
here.
We've
actually
moved
this
further
down
so
that
it
is
still
relevant
to
that
bus
stop.
So
you
can
see
the
bus
is
just
to
the
north.
It's
going
to
go
in
front
of
the
planter
by
Dunkin
Donuts
again
over
eight
feet,
parents
on
the
sidewalk.

The

Sidewalk,
with
with
a
world
of
care
education,
first-ever
for
Stephanie
you're,
showing
it
as
a
variable
width,
normally
these
streets
were
laid
out
as
60-footers.
Okay,
these
are
very
old
streets.
What
has
happened
over
the
years
is
buildings
may
not
have
been
put
exactly
where
they're
supposed
to
be
all
right,
so
you
have
a
did
put
sidewalk
on
one
side,
you
have
a
40
foot
and
retain
normally
that's
how
David,
plus
four
plus
one
equals
six.
So
your
cipher
quits
on
the
building
side
lead
seems
to
be
a
little
bit
sketchy.
So
we
say
from.
E
Right,
so
you
may
want
to
check
to
see
whether
there's
any
encroachment
from
the
building
side-
okay,
just
check
it.
You
all
have
been
serving
about
fair
city
for
decades.
So
you
have
really
good
information,
because
the
sidewalk
with
on
the
building
side,
then
you're
putting
new
crease
is
going
to
get
even
narrower
narrower
because
there
are
existing
priests
and
I'm
not
sure.
With
this.
A
R
K
K
Is
at
the
main
entrance
at
various
point
of
view,
Kanaka
projection
comes
off
of
the
building
this.
This
is
actually
a
good
profile.
Okay,
this
is
the
main
wall
building
this
line
at
either
side
of
the
entry.
There's
a
masonry
bump
out
the
starter
pump
out
and
that's
what
creates
the
pinch
points
the
sidewalks,
so
the
canopy
is
based
off
of
projection
I
fee.
Its
is
maintaining
maximum

F
X
X
It's
really
a
pleasure
to
come
before
you
today,
because
Emerson
College
has
been
working,
probably
I.
Think
it's
about
a
year
now
on
a
project
to
widen
the
sidewalk
from
the
corner
of
Boylston
and
trim
on
Street.
That
would
be
an
80
Boylston
Street
all
the
way
down
to
what
some
there's
a
sign
that
says:
Harvard,
Street
but
I,
know
many
people,
call
it
Edgar
Allan
Poe
way.
So
the.
X
X
The
college
has
also
proposed
to
install
create
a
mid-block
crossing,
and
the
entrance
to
the
boils
boils
to
place
a
li
across
over
to
the
edge
of
the
sidewalk
at
the
Boston
Common,
and
also
to
work
on
making
the
intersection
at
80
Boylston
Street
at
the
corner
of
Tremont
and
boils
to
a
more
integrated,
Crossing
pedestrian
crossing
flow
right.
Now,
it's
what
every
whenever
you
can
cross
you
do
it.
X
X
This
would
be
also
a
design
of
sorts
that
would
be
an
attractive
law
for
more
people
to
come
down
to
that
corner
and
to
come
to
that
destination.
I
think
there
has
neat,
there's
been
something
missing
there.
All
along
the
college
has
been
working,
as
you
know,
mostly
on
getting
its
its
facilities
up
and
running,
but
now
we
have
the
new
theater
that's
opened
and
when
people
depart
some
that
there
are
many
more
people
on
the
sidewalk
currently
there
are.
X
Anyway,
I
want
to
turn
it
over
to
the
team
to
give
you
a
presentation
of
what
I
just
said.
Basically,
and
we
have
four
questions,
I
did
want
to
tell
you
that
we've
been
working
with
many
many
agencies,
we're
still
in
conversation
with
several.
As
you
know,
and
we
will
continue
those
discussions
in
the
next
two
weeks.
We've
got
a
great
start
with
the
MBTA.
The
city's
Parks
Boston,
Water
and
Sewer
has
asked
us
to
do
something
for
them
as
well.
X
N
We
are.
We
are
proposing
a
digital
kiosk
located
here,
adjacent
to
the
mid-block
crossing
for
campus,
an
interactive
signage
that
would
provide
information
on
campus
signage
for
wayfinding.
It
would
not
include
any
sort
of
commercial
advertisements,
but
would
be
for
special
events
and
events
and
things
that
are
happening
on
the
Emerson
campus.

Question
all
the
way
up
to
close
in
place,
so
the
back
of
120
all
the
way
down
that
strip
that
alley
can
service
each
one
of
those
buildings
from
behind.
So,
yes
to
answer
your
question,
they
don't
have
to
come
out
and
around
they
do,
but
they
don't
have
to.
They
have
the
ability
to
go
through
the
buildings.
X
E
J
E
Continue
to
do
that
all
right,
so
with
all
these
enhancements.
My
question
is:
first
of
all:
can
the
stop
light
over
there
handle
a
pedestrian
scrambler
question
two?
Hopefully,
yes,
three!
If
so,
the
pedestrian
lights
need
to
match,
in
addition
to
the
90
degrees,
I'm,
not
sure
what
he
didn't
decide.
This
question
I,
don't
know
the
answer.
Okay,
but
you
can
supplement
another
pedestrian
head
to
show
the
diagonal
crossing.
The
countries
are
doing
this.
I
just
don't
want
us
to
be
at
the
back
end
of
all
the
stocks.
E
So
when
you
look
at
that
pedestrian
walkway,
can
you
position
the
light
so
that
someone
who
wants
to
shoot
right
diagonally
with
that
walk
light
can
be
seen.
So
the
question
comes
biggie
crease?
Is
the
traffic
signal
being
modified
to
facilitate
that?
Because,
if
not,
you
are
going
to
have
a
bit
of
a
situation.

one
pastry
that
is
feeding
to
literally
two
one-way
streets
for
all
practical
matters
over
here.
You
all
need
to
do
the
signal
timing
adjustment
so
that
we
still
have
a
coordinated
face
on
Tremont
Street.
Okay,
so
do
that
because
all
the
heavy
lifting
is
done
here,
but
look
at
it
from
a
pedestrians
from
one
of
your
clients
perspective
who
he
or
she
may
be
only
interested
in
running
to
the
next
class.
They're
gonna
see
the
cars
talk
and
that
would
walk
through.
It
is
the
cars
which
are
more
afraid
of.
A
E
V
H
There
were
improvements
that
are
gonna
be
done
as
part
of
the
new
building
mitigation
under
the
Kappa,
great
civilization.
I,
don't
know
if
this
plan
is
going
to
be
integrated
into
that,
obviously
should,
but
there
needs
to
be
a
clay
conversation
with
Don
and
a
signalization.
The
big
block
is
that
signalize,
it's.
F
E
F
M
S
H
X
It
was
determined
that
we
even
talked
to
the
people
at
state's
transportation,
don't
because
they
have
twelve
hundred
and
fifty
people
who
come
in
through
those
areas,
and
they
were
all
far
we
did.
You
know
we
are
for
it
because
we
see
everybody.
We
see
all
pedestrians
cross
right
at
that
point,
and
so.
X
Until
the
college
felt
that,
while
we
were
doing
this,
this
is
probably
the
best
thing
we
could
contribute
to
making
this
a
public
safety
enhancement
to
this
whole
area,
widening
the
sidewalk.
He
is
one
of
the
best
things
and
thank
you
for
your
for
your
comments
on
that.
But
doing
this
I
think
will
actually
save
more
lives
than
the
bigger
intersection,
because
people
are
constantly
doing
this
all
the
time
and
will
take
you
know
we'll
take
any
advice
you
have.
We
have
modern
modified
it
greatly.
We
with
different
materials.
E
Passionately
on
both
sides
of
this
equation,
I
wish
we
can,
you
know,
praise
all
the
crosswalks,
but
then
emergency
vehicles
have
a
situation
or
it
goes
out
of
style,
and
then
people
have
a
false
sense
of
security
both
from
the
user.
So
there
are
well
established
guidelines
and
those
are
always
their
guidelines,
so
I'm
very
confident
that
the
right
mixture
but
the
size,
the
flashing
lights,
yes
need
to
ensure
so
target
whoever
the
consultant,
based
in
terms
of
visibility
of
that
sign
in
the
domain
of
the
current
parking
madness.
That
is
there.
E
E
Based
on
how
the
topics
your
intersection
nodal,
intersection,
based
on
how
the
walk
lights
are
function,
you
may
have
to
adjust
the
ramps.
Okay,
so
just
big
toe
bhp
or
whoever
make
sure
that
they
speak
to
Don,
Burgess
and
team
to
ensure
that
it
functions
from
a
traffic
signals
perspective
and
then
take
that
into
the
intersection
beside
not
backwards.

Again,
III
work
with
those
guys
every
day
I
mean
you
know,
they've
been
aware
of
it.
There's
been
numerous.
You
know
numerous
talks
about
it,
but
like
our
buddy,
excellent
that
you
know
they
show
you
trust
at
first,
but
then
they
don't
have
anything
in
that
area.
So
when
there
was
discussions
and
then
they
don't
have
anything.
A
F
Y
Y
Z
I'm
Shelby
Cullinan
with
exes
engineering
group
and
we're
representing
first
light
fiber,
and
this
is
Danny
your
pellets
ERT
from
first
light
fiber
and
John
Barry
from
axis
and
J
Watson
from
Phoenix.
So
basically,
what
we're
doing
is
petitioning
the
Commission
for
a
grant
of
location
as
lead
company.
So
we
did
do
the
mailing
to
all
of
the
potential
participants
and
we
actually
got
three
responses
of
companies
who
want
to
join
in
the
dig,
so
we
coordinated
with
them
and
because
there
was
so
much
interest.
Z
H
W
Z
At
this
first
light
actually
acquired
186
communications,
so
that's
who
so
they
have
that
network
in
the
city
and
we're
actually
have
submitted
everything
to
Mike
Lynch
over
at
bought
broadband
and
came
cable
to
get
certified
in
the
city.
So
we
should
be
all
set
with
that.
We've
answered
some
questions
for
him
and
we're
also
I've
been
working
with
Chun
Lu
to
to
do
the
lead
company
agreement.
So
we
have
that
executed.
We're
working
with
all
the
participants
to
to
share
the
cost
in
this
dig
and
get
that
taken
care
of
a
local.
