I'm
here
with
Eric

from

where
to
present
the
pedestrian

the

As
you
stated
at
the
new
business,
it's
an
ongoing
project
and
we're
in
the
current
phase
of
the
affordable
phases
along
Harvard
Street.
At
this
time,
I'll
walk
you
through
the
pedestrian
easement
plan.
Okay,.
E
Sure
he
just
did
it
broad
right,
so
we've
met
with
the
necessary
agencies
since
I
have
new
business
and
we've
had
some
more
responses
from
BPD,
a
RCM
that
that
have
are
stated
that
they
have
no
issues
with
the
project.
We've
also
met
with
the
street
lighting
department,
BTD
Charlotte
Fleetwood
we've
met
again
with
the
disabilities
Commission,
so
we've
been
in
coordination
with
a
few
more
of
the
city's
agencies.
Since
that's
how

we've

for

we
met

have

to
their

on

E
You
again,
commissioners,
we're
here
to
discuss
the
widening
relocation
extension
of
Falcon
Lane
Falcon
Lane
was
first
built
in
2007
as
a
probably
way
open
to
probably
travel
right
now,
we're
extending
on
to
that
building.
We've
taken
the
new
concept
standard
from
the
city
to
provide
a
40
foot
wide
right
away
with
sidewalks
on
both
sides
and
then
to
encompass
that
we've
brought
it
around.
E
It's
the
the
shape
that
we
show
up
there
to
bring
that
in
and
tie
that
in
to
the
existing
private
and
part
of
this
plan,
we're
going
to
install
sidewalks
on
both
sides,
they're
both
concrete
sidewalks
we've
looked
at
that
and
taking
that
into
consideration
into
the
stormwater
management.
We
submitted
a
site
plan
to
BWC
earlier
this
week
to
address
comments
that
they
gave
to
us,
as
well
as
some
of
the
changes
that
we
made
for
for
the
site
plan.
E
The
projects
going

the
West,

roads,
which
would
be
public
roadways
to
soon
connect
for
the

as
well,
we're
providing
accessible
parking
for
the
units
that
are

and
give
a

of
travel
to
those
units,

we've

J
J
The
design
itself
that
worked
closely
with
Landmarks
Commission
we're
using
the
bollards
for
the
back
of
the
cafe
that
were
installed.
This
part
of
the
city's
recent
connect
historic
Boston
project
and
then
along
the
front,
Bay
or
because
bind
by
the
planters
that
were
part
of
that
is
what
part
of
that
connect
extort
Boston
project
as
well
in
the
series
of
posts
and
changed
similar
in
nature
to
the
post.
In
changing
that
across
the
street,
at
the
Holocaust
Museum,
we
did,
as
I
said,
we
did
receive
landmarks
approval.
J
There
was
a
discussion
at
new
business
regarding
concerns
with
deliveries
and
daily
operations.
So
since
that
time,
the
Union
Street
Group
Restaurant
Group,
unofficial
name,
but
the
performance
before
you
have
worked
together
and
prepared
a
letter
for
the
Commission
committing
to
working
with
their
distributors,
who
have
deliveries
before
8:00
a.m.
so
I
have
a
letter
signed
by
each
applicant.
That
will
be
before
you
today,
with
letters
and
emails
from
distributors
promising
to
work.
J
In
the
parking
a
me
Cody
and
I
met
with
a
disabilities
Commission
earlier
this
week,
Tuesday
on
site
and
my
it's
my
understanding
that
the
city
is
going
to
work
at
the
neighborhood
in
general
to
find
except
handicap
parking
in
this
area
of
the
city.
Because
not
only
is
this
project
happening,
but
there's
nothing
number
of
other
projects
happening
concurrently.
We
did
visit
the
abutting
garage
Aetna
on
Hanover,
Street,
no
I
think
blitz
parcel
seven
and
within
that
garage
at
the
first
accessible
parking
level.
There
are
thirteen
handicap
spaces
available
there.
J
A
As
you
mentioned,
javis,
there
were
a
number
of
issues
we
discussed
during
the
new
business
home.
Safety
concerns
operational
concerns,
accessibility
issues
serving
across
the
right-of-way,
so
on
the
public
safety
side.
I
know
that
you
touched
on
this
from
your
conversations
with
the
fire
department.
This
preserves
that
of
a
accessible
path
of
travel,
yeah.
K
A
J
B
The
previous,
when
we
went
to
the
connect
historic
Austin
process
exclusively
what
the
businesses
here,
one
of
the
concerns
was-
was
the
loading.
Obviously,
it's
not
advantageous
for
the
business
receiving
deliveries
during
working
or
you
know,
hours
of
operation
and
went
before
so
when
patrons
are
in
there
they're,
not
getting
deliveries.
During
that
time,
they've
been
working
very
good
with
the
city
as
of
right
now,
and
the
little
tough
as
a
construction
was
went
on
for
a
while.
So
you
know
we
appreciate
your
patience,
I
met,
but
the
loadings
of
you
know
been
addressed.
B
You
know,
through
the
numerous
meetings
that
we
had
on
the
connected
story.
Boston
also,
let
me
just
add,
on
the
public
safety
front,
I
talked
to
district
commander
and
several
occasions,
captain
Fong
very
enthusiastic
about
that,
because
this
brings
a
positive
experience
onto
the
street.
Unlike
some
of
the
negative
stuff
that
has
been
going
on
on
the
street,
you
think
that
this
will
be
lightning
in
a
positive
aspect
or
to
enforce
themselves.
J
L
A
And
then
the
finally,
which
we
discussed
in
new
business
and
has
been
a
concern
which
has
been
raised
by
some,
is
just
ensuring
the
quality
of
experience
for
people
who
are
both
walking
on
the
Freedom
Trail
as
well
as
patrons
entities.
Establishments
as
well
as
your
employees,
is
how
we
will
ensure
that
that
remains.
A
positive
experience
become
involved.
If.
J
I
may
I
think
this
will
improve
the
experience
for
the
for
the
for
the
pedestrians
because
it
provides
some
a
better
pedestrian
experience.
We're
now
they're
up
against
the
bollards
in
traffic,
w
up
against
the
back
of
the
cafe,
we're
not
they're
not
losing
any
sidewalk
area
in
order
to
make
that
for
that
path
of
travel,
there's
also
concerned
about
server's
crossing
a
path
to
travel
to
that
and
the
each
restaurant
hires.
You
know
qualified
staff
at
a
trained
staff
and
when
they
exit
the
building
and
many
of
these
doors
are
recessed
a
little
bit.
J
Obviously
they're
going
to
be
cautious
and
the
public
will
have
the
right
away.
You
know,
don't
you
know
it's
in
the
it's
in
the
restaurants,
best
interest
to
have
a
nice
smooth
process
in
place,
and
actually
you
know
it's
probably
better
than
imagine.
There's
more
room
outside
so
serving
may
be
easier
than
actually
within
the
restaurant
itself,
when
it's
filled
with
cook
with
the
clients.
F
A
K
A
So
I
think
there
are
two
things
I
just
want
to.
We
want
to
make
this
contingent
on.
Obviously,
you
know
it's
contingent
upon
the
licensing
boards
approval.
The
second
is
want
to
take
a
chance
to
be
able
to
make
sure
that
we
sort
of
reviewed
in
the
operations
plan
to
make
sure
it
actually
can
can
work,
can
work
with
businesses
and
work.
Four
o'clock
safety
perspective.
Okay,
I,
entertain
a
motion
on
this
item
contingent
again
on
both
approval
of
licensing
board
and
our
final
review
of
the
operational
plan.
I'll.

project
I've,
been
in
design
as
I
mentioned
for
quite
some
time,
excited
that
we're
at
this
stage
and
I
have
my
design
team
project
manager,
Mark
gravity.
T
With
most
of
already
originally,
you
know,
this
was
agony,
found
in
a
belt
expressway,
so
there's
a
40-foot
easement
along
the
north
side
of
the
gnarly
Cass
Boulevard
that
obviously
probably
never
went
through
so
we're
using
it
to
kind
of
shift
Melanie
a
cast
to
the
north.
So
we
have
room
to
provide
separated
bike
lanes
and
pedestrian
paths
on
the
south
side
of
the
project.
T
So
originally
we're
trying
to
do
some
consideration
doing
a
bus,
rapid
transit
lane,
but
the
community
was
definitely
against
that
for
safety
reasons,
and
they
really
want
this
designed
to
focus
on
making
this
thing
not
feel
like
a
highway
anymore.
So
the
design
basically
shifted
to
doing
traffic
calming
measures,
incomplete,
Street
concepts,
so
in
general,
I'm
alley
cats
Boulevard.
Now,
if
you
go
out,
there's
two
lanes
of
travel
which
we
are
keeping,
but
the
lanes
out
there
today
are
from
like
11
to
14
feet.
T
So
it
is
like
a
high
wave
we're
going
down
to
10
to
5
foot
wide
lanes.
As
indicated
all
these,
all
these
intersections
now
are
protected
intersections.
So
that
means
we
have
these
buffer
islands
that
actually
separate
the
vehicles
from
the
pedestrian
from
the
bicycle,
provides
better
visibility
for
everybody
and
also
on
these
intersections.
T
The
the
the
bikes
and
pedestrians
kind
of
have
a
forward
cue
like
the
traffic
is
back
here
and
the
bikes
pedestrians
here
so
now
is
that
help
with
visibility,
but
they
actually
get
a
lead
time,
even
even
in
the
signals
too,
so
there's
less
conflict
there.
T
Some
of
the
we
also
have
a
couple
raised
in
two
sections:
one
is
that
a
Albany
Street
and
the
other
one
is
that
a
Washington
Street.
So
this
is
this
will
help
reduce
speeds.
There's
also
kinda
gives
a
new
a
nice
place,
setting
where
I
mean
not
hotel.
That's
been
recently
built
in
Rochester,
as
well
as
the
tropical
foods
across
the
way
in
Albany
Street,
as
you
might
know,
has
what
should
got
in
an
elementary
school
so
I'm
so
for
pedestrian
accommodations.
We
have
sorry
this
is.
T
This
is
a
going
west
to
east
by
the
way,
so
sorry
too
much
of
a
role
plan,
but
the
we
were
using
seven
foot,
two
foot
wide
cement,
concrete
sidewalks
to
the
pedestrians,
both
sides
of
the
road.
We
have
one
way
cycle
tracks
for
the
bicycles,
that'll
range
from
6
to
8
feet
and
we
are
using
a
mix
of
materials
out
to
the
patinas
concrete.
But
there
are
sections
that
is
porous
pavement
as
far
as
I
had
to
mention
the
street
trees.
We
are,
we
are
removing
about
a
100
101
trees.
T
Actually,
43
of
them
are
actually
dead
or
in
bad
health,
or
they
were
mitigated
by
planting
222
trees,
so
quite
a
significant
contribution,
as
he
mentioned,
we're
redoing
the
streetlights
they're,
all
gonna
be
the
pendent
type.
There's
a
couple
of
pedestrian
level
scale,
ones
that
the
15
footers
are
going
to
be
a
corn
type
mix
throughout.
They
give
you
specific
location.
If
you
want
that's,
why
I
have
the
design
team
here,
some
of
the
specialty
pavers
we're
going
to
have
that
these
are
islands
that
separate
the
the
buffer
islands
will
come.
T
They
have
concrete
pavers,
the
island,
a
Tremec
Street
when
you
take
that
right
turn
has
some
concrete
pavers
on
the
edge
that
is
planted,
some
places
where
the
pedestrian
paths
bike
lane
gets
close
together.
We
use
in
stamped
concrete
to
separate
them
and
other
years
they're
separated
by
long
and
also
we
have
just
a
couple
raised
side
streets
to
that
where
it'll
be
flushed
conditioned
at
Brook,
Marshall
and
Sojourner
Truth,
and
also
when
I'm
on
Shamanov
and
the
the
last
specialty
item
is
actually
this
sidewalk.
T
Here,
it's
actually
about
granite,
stabilized
Granite's,
you
know
be
like
3/8
inch
stone,
but
a
stabilizer.
It
doesn't
move
in
it.
So
it's
to
me
ATA
accessible,
but
it's
still
a
pedestrian
path
there.
So
this
that's
part
of
the
South
Bay
Harbor,
you
guys
know
so
you
see
if
I
missed
anything
else
here,
oh
and
then
we
are
doing
some
as
much
stormwater
management
as
we
can
I'm,
primarily
without
installing
dry
wells
in
precast
bleaching,
galleys
off
of
our
Albany
Street.
U
T
There's
some
widening
that
will
that
will
do
separately
at
the
public
hearing.
Obviously
we
have
one
here
that
to
help
incorporate
the
sidewalk
and
in
the
bike
lane
also
realigning
Albany
streets,
so
it
lines
up
across
the
other
side.
It
is
more
over
here
now,
so
we
have
a
taken
over
here
and
we
are
also
doing
one
here
for
ya,
mostly
for
the
sidewalk
and
bike
lane,
as
it
juts
out
over
here.
So
those
are
all
gonna
be
Highway,
easements
I
think
I
got
all
the
ELC
is
one
make
sure
I
got
all
the
windings.
T
S
S
Rebuild
the
Old
South
Behar
betray
South
Bay
betrayal,
we
construct
out
on
the
north
side
and
then
we
had
an
addition
on
the
south
side
of
Melanie.
Oh
cows
will
have
bike
facilities,
so
you'll
have
bike
facilities
on
both
sides.
Now.
B
S
B
K
D
And
then
you
also
want
to
take
part
of
our
land
on
Albany
Street.
So
on
626
next
week.
Does
the
next
commissioners
board
meeting
so
we
won't
have.
We
have
to
wait
for
approval
from
them
if
you
can
take
the
land,
but
we
can't
guarantee
that
they'll
go
yes
and
then
another
thing
on
845
Albany
Street
has
a
lease
with
a
parking
lot
until
2034.
So
this
will
have
to
be
negotiated
between
you
and
a
45
Robin
E
Street.
S
A
S
Well,
actually,
we
had
our
first
community
meeting
in
October
of
2011,
so
it's
been
quite
some
time.
We've
had
subsequent
community
meetings
like
you
know
that
Water
and
Sewer
Commission
headquarters
hosting
community-wide
meetings
a
couple
every
year
we
would
have
at
least
but
also
we
worked
with
a
friends
group
kind
of
a
grassroots
organization
that
bubbled
up
during
the
the
bus,
rapid-transit
concept
phase
and
they
really
helped
guide
us
into
more
of
a
neighborhood
centric
and
a
complete
streets.
S
S
We
have
you
know:
Dan
wood,
folks,
cyclists,
people
who
were
interested
in
being
able
to
cross
the
street
safely
seniors
from
watching
gardens
school
representation.
We
had
an
open
house
at
the
orchard
gardens.
One
of
our
community
meetings
was
a
demonstration
project.
We
did
we
brought
on
the
kids
so
make
it
fun
for
them
to
participate.
A
F
F
V
P
V
Today,
we're
talking
specifically
about
a
Commonwealth
building,
which
is
the
component
one
of
the
two
components
of
our
project.
Here,
the
eight
story:
building
on
the
corner
about
130,000
square
feet
of
commercial
office,
space
with
ground-floor
retail,
we
we
were
approved
for
the
entirety
of
the
project,
which
includes
130,000
square
feet
on
the
corner
of
the
Commonwealth
building,
as
well
as
150,000
square
feet
within
the
beacon
building
which
looks
like
buildings
hereby
taxes,
one
building
at
this
point
in
time.
We
we
are
a
little
bit
further
along.
V
We
did
not
intend
to
have
a
phased
project,
however,
we
are
further
along
with
the
with
the
Commonwealth
project
on
the
corner.
You
know,
after
our
approvals
we
realized
we
were
going
to
have
to
coordinate
with
the
MBTA
on
some
of
the
existing
bus
operations,
diversions
and
cueing
that
are
going
on
in
front
of
the
old
Barnes
and
Noble
building,
which
is
which
is
part
of
our
beacon
project.
V
So
we
are
continuing
to
try
to
schedule
meetings
with
the
BPD,
a
VTV
and
and
the
MBTA
to
finalize
what
our
CMP
looks
like
so
during
construction,
as
well
as
what
what
the
implications
of
the
MBT
are.
Mbta
are
during
our
final
condition.
So,
therefore,
today
we
are,
we
are
specifically
talking
about
the
Commonwealth
building,
until
which
point
we
finalize
that
and
can
come
back
before
you
to
talk
through
beacon,
so
I
will
now
turn
it
over
to
market
BHB
to
talk
through
out
of
specific
actions.
Thank
you.
W
I
mark
Jackson
with
bhp,
so
our
first
action
is
a
projection
license
over
Deerfield
Street
and,
as
Alex
mentioned,
it's
over
the
office
entry
for
the
Commonwealth
building
the
canopy
projects
3.5
feet
over
the
property
line,
which
is
significantly
less
than
the
two-thirds
of
the
proposed
sidewalk,
which
is
sixteen
point
two
feet
wide
from
the
face
of
building.
Here's
our
home,
the
property
line.
W
The
canopy
is
just
under
12
feet
above
grade
and
will
be
internally
drained,
as
well
as
he
traced
before
I
turn
it
over
to
college
and
walk
through
some
of
the
sidewalk
improvements
and
the
specific
repairs.
I
just
want
to
note
that
we've
had
extension,
extensive
coordination
with
street
lighting
parks,
PwC
met
with
accessibility.
V
U
Some
Kyle's
equipped
I'll
Zack
landscape
architecture,
the
streetscape
proposed
in
front
of
the
Commonwealth
building
changes
the
sidewalk
and
improves
it
quite
a
bit.
I
mean
it's
already,
a
busy
sidewalk
with
the
amount
of
traffic
foot
traffic
we
have
in
that
area
and
we
are
anticipating
that
will
increase
so
we're
actually
widening
the
sidewalk
moving
the
curb
out
and
incorporate
removing
the
parallel
parking
along
the
frontage
of
the
building
and
having
a
sidewalk
grade
cycle
track.
So
the
sidewalk
and
I'll
point
to
this.
U
Superb
newspapers
were
infiltrating
the
water
along
here
as
well.
They've
worked
with
street
lighting,
we'll
be
replacing
the
light.
Fixtures
along
the
property,
I
think
there's
three
different
types
of
light:
fixtures
now
we'll
have
one
coordinated,
pendant
fixture
throughout
with
a
pedestrian
scale
fixture
on
the
backside.
U
So
on
the
pallet
of
materials
used
in
Kenmore
Square
now,
generally,
the
blend
of
red
brick
furnishings
vary
from
property
to
property,
but
we
are
using
a
red
brick
that
is
complementary
to
the
rest
of
the
square.
We're
not
changing
the
crosswalk
materials,
there's
also
a
brick
material
on
the
building.
So
there's
some
coordination
there
and
between
the
Commonwealth
building
in
the
future,
application
for
beacon
building,
there's
continuity
thereof,
terms
of
the
well.
V
There
will
be
the
same
streetscape
design
from
beacon
to
Commonwealth
and
and
the
same
brick,
material
and
concrete,
accessible
sidewalk
that
you
see
front
of
miles.
Standish
Hall
is
the
same
palette
that
we
are
using.
We
will
be
using
a
wood,
benching
street
furnishing
program
versus
their
granted,
which
is
in
front
of
miles
Standish
Hall,
but
the
Saint
palliative.
F
V
B
V
So
there
are
currently
three
private
passageways
that
access
the
back
parking
lot,
one
of
which
you
see
in
the
diagram
here,
which
will
be
the
main
focus
point
to
our
garage.
So
we
are
going
to
trays
below
grade
within
that
building
footprint
there,
which
we'll
talk
about
with
that
the
earth
retention,
but
the
the
ramping
is
within
the
building
footprint
that
will
be
access
and
exit
for
parking
with
for
for
the
site.
It's
it's
around
sixty
spaces,
so
not
a
large
amount.
V
A
V
Of
access
we
did,
there
was
not
enough
room
for
a
two
lane
to
Lane
passageway
that
on
Deerfield,
but
also
you
know
through
many
community
meetings
and
discussions
with
bu
as
well.
We
didn't
want
a
force
traffic
down
Bay
State
Road,
which
is
really
the
only
way
you
can
go
if
you're
coming
off
Deerfield.
You
can't
take
a
left
turn
back
back
into
the
city,
so
that
was
a
something
that
they
didn't
want
to
push
that
sort
sort
of
traffic
towards
towards
the
residential
areas
of
Bay
State.
A
D
X
I'm
trying
to
patch
what,
if
they
all
associates,
I
apologize
for
my
voice
and
if
you
can't
hear
me
I
can
have
somebody
else
step
better,
not
were
the
geotechnical
engineer
in
the
project.
The
site
is
currently
occupied
by
own
existing
buildings
that
are
sprayed
wood.
Piles
are
concrete
caissons
in
order
to
construct
a
new
building.
X
We're
gonna
need
to
excavate
about
30
foot,
deep
Hall
report,
which
were
going
to
install
concrete's
third
wall
all
around
the
site,
but
before
we
can
install
that
story
wall
we
need
to
remove
the
foundations
that
are
there
from
the
corner
building.
So
this
leads
us
to
needing
a
temporary
exported
excavation
support
system
before
we
install
our
permanent
excavation
support
system,
which
is
the
story
will
solve
the
sections
show
at
the
top.
X
The
show
step
1,
which
is
the
installation
of
a
like
a
soldier
pile
wall
about
4
feet
off
the
property
line,
to
install
that
to
allow
us
to
remove
the
existing
foundations
and
limited
sessions
once
those
are
out
of
the
way.
The
ex-officio
exact
build
up,
degrade,
concrete
guide
walls
would
be
installed
for
the
slurry
wall,
and
then
the
slurry
wall
would
be
constructed
approximately
from
from
the
street
grade,
we've
coordinated
with
Boston,
where
I
wanted
trust.
X
They're
aware
of
the
project,
we've
agreed
to
monitor
groundwater
levels
in
the
vicinity
of
site
during
construction
before
and
after
we
are,
will
be
from
that
vibration.
Monitoring
to
monitor
that
water
line,
as
well
as
other
structures
around
the
site
in
terms
of
organic
soils
and
all
that's
commonly
concern
in
terms
of
the
odors
on
there's
only
a
thin
veneer
of
the
organics
here
in
the
sites.
We
don't
anticipate
orders
from
organics
being
an
issue
be
happy
to
answer
any
questions
so.
B
X
The
contractor
will
be
required
to
load
the
soils
directly
into
trucks,
not.
B
Socks
and
so
just
the
construction
matter
plan,
we
looked
at
the
support
system
as
it
resulted
as
part
of
the
construction
ramp,
where
your
slurry
plant
is
where
the
wall
guide
walls
and
it
all
works.
Given
the
SCMP,
we've
looked
at
so
you're
in
a
good
place
right
now,
so
I
appreciate
you
doing
that
up
front
instead
of
going
in
after
this
hearing.
So.

was,
it's
been
left
vacant
for
about
twenty
years
in
the
corner
of
belgrade
and
beet
streets
in
West
Roxbury,
the
project
is
eighteen.
Eighteen
units,
two
bedrooms,
two
baths
thirty-three
parking
spaces
which
are
located
underground.
I
It
just
went
to
an
extensive
community
and
regulatory
process
and
out
of
that
process,
the
following
specific
repairs
came
about
new
sidewalks
and
pedestrian
ramps,
changes
to
the
curb
line
close
to
existing,
curb
cuts
on
Beach
Street
in
Belgrade
and
to
replace
them
with
a
new
curb
cut
on
Beach
Street,
which
would
be
access
to
the
underground
garage.
Moving
a
light
pole
to
the
entrance
of
the
parking
garage
add
tree
pits
throughout
add
bike
racks
at
the
front.
I
Some
on
the
side
and
also
in
the
garage
plant
is
along
back
of
sidewalk
traffic
signals,
signs,
stop
and
crosswalk
signs
and
utility
connections.
So
all
of
the
specific
repairs
which
I
just
mentioned
that
was
done
through
community
process
working
with
the
different
city
agencies,
it's
kind
of
been
a
long
process
and
we
appreciate
the
the
feedback
that
we
received
because
I
think
it
really
does
make
it
a
much
better
project.
B
I
I
Mr
hazard
represents
the
traffic
department
on
the
P
I
cyborg,
so
there
was
some
concern
as
you
come
down
from
st.
Roch
Brothers
coming
to
it's
a
triangular
parcel,
so
B
Street
would
run
directly
toward
the
west
route
through
Parkway
and
then
belgrade
would
go
more
toward
Roslindale
square
right
there.
There
was
some
concern
with
traffic
that
when
people
hit
that
it's
I
don't
know
they
call
it
a
Hollywood
stop
or
something
like
that.
They
don't
stop
their
cars
this.
So
that's
bumped
out
a
little
bit
there.
There's
a
stop.
