From YouTube: Snow Response Update
Description
Mayor Walsh visits with members of his 24-Hour Hotline Staff and gives a progress update on the City of Boston's response to today's snowstorm.
A
Gotten,
as
you
saw
here
today,
1800
calls
since
last
night
in
we're
answering
the
weather
in
ninety-eight
percent
rate,
only
seventeen
people
hung
up,
which
is
good
as
far
as
far
as
the
calls
go.
No
I'm
just
same
message:
asking
pedestrians,
let's
be
careful
walking
in
the
street
but,
more
importantly,
asking
car
drivers
to
be
careful
with
pedestrians
in
the
street.
Ask
people
that
help
their
neighbors
shovel
up,
hydrants
and
crosswalks,
particularly
because
we
might
have
another
snowstorm
this
weekend.
A
If
the
Crocs
box,
not
shoveled
out
in
the
handicap,
ramps
on
shuttle,
health
and
they're,
going
to
freeze
up
and
okay
impossible
to
get
on
Sunday
night.
The
issue
here
is
that
it
hasn't
really
stopped
selling.
So,
even
though
the
street
might
be
proud,
people
feel
it
hasn't
been
plowed
I.
Don't
think
we
have
a
situation
that
there's
this
two
inches
of
snow
on
in
the
street
and
city
of
austin,
and
if
there
is,
I
would
suggest
your
call
635
4500
and
we
will
get
out
there.
A
Industry
I
think
people
feel
that
a
sense
of
sense
of
appreciation
they're
doing
an
important
job
in
the
city.
A
lot
of
the
calls
when
somebody
takes
time
out
of
the
eight
o'clock
we
500
they're,
calling
because
they
need
something
and
I
think
the
young
people
behind
me
feel
that
they
can
give
back
to
somebody
thought
by
addressing
your
situation.
Emerging
problem.
