From YouTube: Transgender Flag Raising
Description
City Hall Plaza raised the transgender flag in solidarity with residents in the community. The event is in response to an anti-transgender "free speech" bus that made an appearance outside City Hall.

How's
everybody
doing
today
is
this:
one
kami
I
figured
that
we'd
have
a
little
laugh
a
little
flag
raising
today
when
I.
We
know
that
we
had
visitors
from
from
wherever
they're
from
here
our
city,
and
we
wanted
to
just
send
a
message
about
that.
We're
an
inclusive,
open,
City
and
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
being
here
today.
I
want
to
give
a
couple:
shout
outs,
one
is
to
the
President
Abbas
City
Council
President
Michelle
was
here.
Thank
you.
Madam
president.
A
A
We
made
that
perfectly
clear
a
couple
years
ago,
but
we
made
up
perfect
clear
in
the
Commonwealth
of
Massachusetts
in
2010,
and
then
the
legislature
reaffirm
that
last
year
and
their
works
around
transgender
rights
and
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
being
here
today,
because
we're
a
city
that's
going
to
continue
to
step
up
and
support
everyone
in
our
city
and
we're
going
to
support
the
people.
We
love
and
also
work
with
them
and
accept
everything
and
never
change.
As
a
city,
we
always
going
to
support
our
transgender
community
and
defend
their
fundamental
rights.
A
We
march
in
solidarity
in
the
pride
parade.
We
made
sure
that
Madison
work
of
Massachusetts
and
again
thank
you
to
the
legislature
and
the
governor
for
passing
in
law,
ensuring
public
accommodation,
protections
for
individuals,
we've
made
City
Hall
of
welcoming
space
and
a
welcoming
place
for
the
entire
transgender
community.
We
are
listening
to
our
transgender
community,
making
making
our
city
more
inclusive.
A
The
transgender
community
is
in
my
office
in
City
Hall
and
is
in
the
city
of
austin
and
we're
going
to
continue
to
work
with
the
community
hand
in
hand,
time
and
time
again-
and
this
is
something
that
is
important
for
us
to
to
every
now
and
then
send
a
message
to
let
people
know
we
will
not
be
intimidated
by
discrimination
or
harassment,
and
we
will
not
tolerate
these
kinds
of
actions.
But
when
you
deny
the
experience
of
transgender
viduals,
you
would
design
the
experience
of
basic
human
civil
rights
in
Boston
in
Massachusetts.
A
So,
together
we're
going
to
continue
to
fight
intolerance
with
love
and
acceptance.
We
will
continue
to
stand
without
transgender
community
and
will
continue
to
fly
this
flag
with
pride
in
our
hearts
and
now
I'd
like
to
ask
Alex
deference
who's
on
my
scheduling
team
to
be
with
me
to
help
me
raise
this
flag.
