A
Marty
Walsh,
the
mayor
of
Boston,
the
chair
of
the
Housing
Committee
I,
took
college
meeting
to
order.
Thank
everyone
for
coming
this
morning.
Our
population
is
at
a
50
or
high
we've.
We
launched
a
housing
plan
in
October
of
2014
to
create
53
thousand
units
of
new
housing,
as
many
of
you
are
facing
people
being
pushed
out
of
the
cities,
because
people
are
being
pushed
into
the
cities
and
we're
losing
poor
people,
so
we're
working
to
try
and
do
some
creative
things
by
using
different
tools
that
we
have
different
resources
or
inclusionary
developments.
A
We're
also
trying
to
make
sure
that
we
we
deal
with
veterans
and
a
veterans
housing.
We
ended
chronic
veterans
homelessness,
as
many
of
you
did
in
2015.
So
our
veterans
right
now.
If
they
need
a
place
to
live
in
they're
homeless,
they
can
get
into
a
housing
or
work
on
ending
chronic
homelessness
and
we're
working
on
a
whole
host
of
different
issues.
