A
A
What
a
great
opportunity
to
showcase
our
army
right
here
in
the
middle
in
the
heart
of
New
England,
so
this
past
week
has
been
a
total
army
outreach
effort
to
connect
the
city
and
the
Commonwealth
community,
but,
more
importantly,
the
citizens
with
the
army.
They
may
not
have
met
yet
it
includes
our
active-duty
component,
our
National
Guard
and
the
Army
Reserves.
A
B
Ok
afternoon,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
Major
General
Gary,
Keefe
I'm,
the
43rd
adjutant
general
Massachusetts,
National
Guard,
so
on
behalf
of
the
8600
soldiers
and
airmen
6,400,
which
our
soldiers
welcome
to
army
week,
total
partnership
here
in
the
Commonwealth
I'm,
going
to
present
the
flag
but
I'm
going
to
present
it
to
my
good
friend,
Brigadier
General
Vince
Malone,
like
I,
tell
people
this
week,
I'm
Army
Air
Corps,
but
I'm
going
to
present
this
to
Vince
who's
gonna
turn
around
and
present
it
to
mayor
Walsh.
B
You
will
not
make
a
better
choice
for
your
future,
then
raising
your
right
hand
and
taking
that
oath.
So,
thanks
for
doing
so,
you're
now
less
than
1%
of
the
nation
has
done
what
you're
going
to
do.
Thank
you
for
keeping
this
the
Commonwealth.
Thank
you
for
keeping
this
great
nation
of
ours
free,
thank
you
and
enjoy
our
miweek.
D
D
I
want
to
thank
you
for
putting
your
life
on
the
line
for
us
to
give
us
a
free
nation
to
give
us
a
free
city
to
all
the
families
to
go.
Stop
families
here,
I
want
to
thank
you
as
well
for
your
sacrifice
and
let
you
know
that
our
thoughts
and
prayers
are
with
you
every
single
day.
Not
just
on
Veterans
Day
and
not
just
a
Memorial
Day,
but
every
single
day.
The
thank
you
for
that
and
to
the
new
recruits
that
are
here.
Congratulations.
D
You
make
us
very
proud
here
in
Boston
and
New
England
for
standing
here
today
and
what
you're
about
to
embark
on
and
to
all
the
civilians
that
are
here
like
myself.
We
should
take
her
take
a
moment
when
you
before
you
leave
here
today
and
thank
the
men
and
women
in
uniform,
because
without
them
we
would
not
have
the
freedoms
that
we
have
as
the
country.
D
E
We
ask
that
no
one
uses
flash
photography
as
the
soldiers
are
using
real
weapons
with
sharpened
bayonets.
We
also
ask
that
you
please
stay
off
the
grass
where
the
team
is
performing.
However,
we
do
encourage
you
to
cheer
and
applaud
the
soldiers
throughout
the
performance
since
the
birth
of
our
nation,
American
soldiers
have
always
committed
to
a
professional
ethic
of
values,
possess
unquestionable
character
and
are
highly
competent.
The
drill
team
is
the
embodiment
of
these
qualities.
Members
of
the
drill
team
are
from
all
corners
of
the
United
States
with
a
wide
range
of
specialties.
E
E
E
Today,
already
has
more
than
130,000
soldiers
or
deployed,
and
over
145
countries
around
the
world.
The
Army
has
been
equipped
and
trained
to
execute
any
range
of
missions.
This
is
done
with
the
same
trust,
precision,
discipline
and
professionalism
that
the
drill
team
displays
with
each
rifle
spent
and
coordinated.
E
And
now
the
most
difficult
maneuver
of
all
the
soldiers
will
continue
to
march
as
members
from
the
front
rank
toss
the
rock
into
the
air
over
the
formation
to
be
caught
by
the
soldier
in
the
rear
wreck.
This
is
again
an
exercise
in
trust.
Each
member
will
have
to
put
their
safety
in
the
hands
of
their
brothers
in
arms.
