Part
of
the
role
as
the
mayor's
youth
council
was
to
form
our
programs
and
our
policies
that
we
implement
as
a
city.
Last
year,
the
youth
council,
we
put
a
million
dollars
in
the
budget
where
the
youths
council
came
up
with
some
ideas
on
how
to
spend
that
money,
and
actually
it
was
your
own
mini
budget.
Just
like
I
do
as
mayor,
we,
I
have
2.7
billion
dollars
that
I
have
to
figure
out.

Where
do
we
put
the
money
and
the
youth
council
is
the
only
other
part
of
government
that
has
the
same
understanding
and
same
ability
to
be
able
to
take
a
part
of
money
and
spend
it.
You
guys
are
always
going
to
be
a
component
of
the
conversation
when
we're
coming
up
with
something
new
or
just
tinkering
with
some
new
ideas.
