A
C
D
Good
evening,
everyone
we're
gonna
get
started
with
our
meeting.
I'd
like
to
ask
everybody
to.
Please
join
me
in
standing
for
the
pledge
to
the
flag.
D
Thank
you
so
much
so
exciting
to
see
the
green
machine
winter
guard
with
us,
but
before
we
get
to
that,
I
would
like
to
turn
this
over.
I
think
that
we
have
catherine,
romano
representing
nisba
and
mr
lotion,
if
you
could
just
expand
on
what's
happening
here.
Okay,.
C
Welcome
everyone.
We
are
pleased
to
have
catherine,
romano
she's
actually
on
the
board
of
directors
for
nisba
she's.
Actually,
the
sector
12
representative,
which
encompasses
actually
our
school
district,
we're
thrilled
to
have
her
here.
She's
also
excited
to
be
here
because
she
loves
brentwood
and
you
know
nisba
wanted
to
recognize.
They
actually
sent
an
email
and
a
letter
many
many
months
ago,
because
obviously
the
work
that
our
students
did
on
the
marches
came
to
their
attention.
C
E
E
On
youtube,
hello,
youtube
world:
I
live
in
a
nearby
community,
I
live
over
in
islip
and
I
understand
how
valuable
science
research
is.
I
know
that
my
district
started
a
science
research
program,
probably
about
20
years
ago,
and
it
was
very
hard
to
start
and
very
hard
to
have.
Students
persist.
E
E
Something
like
that
across
new
york
state
as
well
as
new
york
city,
and
there
are
different
regions
of
the
state,
and
I
happen
to
represent
suffolk
county
from
huntington
through
montauk
and
orient,
and
it
is
my
pleasure
really
to
share
this
recognition
that
I
didn't
find
and
I
didn't
send,
but
the
nisba
staff
did
every
day
they
scour
the
news
for
good
stories
about
work,
that's
being
done
in
schools
and
school
districts
and
your
school
district
received
this
award.
E
There
are
only
two
awards
in
suffolk
county
this
year,
so
I
was
in
south
huntington
where
they
had
some
high-tech
anatomage
tables
going
on,
which
is
a
big
big
expense
and
I'm
here
to
award
you
for
the
work
that
you
all
did
in
the
march
research
program.
E
The
news
article
in
newsday
on
july,
21st
2021's,
it's
almost
a
year
ago
that
we
were
collecting
the
stories
of
success
and
yours
is
a
story,
a
great
story
of
partnership,
success
and
really
accelerating
the
use
of
stem
research.
E
So
I'd
like
to
call
up
your
principal
your
students
to
talk
to
the
rest
of
you.
If
they
don't
know
why
this
recognition
is
being
awarded,
it
is
called
the
champions
of
change
award
and
it
recognizes
a
school
district's
effort,
the
effort
of
the
staff,
the
students
and
even
community
partners
or
business
organizations
for
forwarding
in
a
positive
change
way,
the
outcomes
of
students
and
the
opportunities
that
students
reach.
So
mr
lotion
or
if
you
would
like
to
take
the
banner
I'm
going
to
let
the
principal
come
up,
it's
really
nice,
pretty
upside
down.
C
Well,
actually,
you
know
what
I'm
going
to
let
mr
callan.
We
were
fortunate
to
have
the
students
here
a
few
months
back
and
they
actually
presented
their
work
to
the
community.
It
was
outstanding
so
yep
and
newsday
yes,
but
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
mr
callan,
who
will
just
speak
a
little
bit
about
the
students.
B
Thank
you,
mr
lozier.
Thank
you
to
all
the
board
members.
Thank
you
to
the
community.
This
is
a
great
recognition,
because
the
first
step
in
having
a
great
research
program
is
having
a
great
research
teacher.
Unfortunately,
dr
growler
couldn't
be
here
tonight,
but
I'm
standing
in
for
her
to
accept
this
and
to
really
talk
a
little
bit
about
that
great
program.
That
is
a
great
partnership
between
not
only
the
lab
at
brentwood
high
school,
but
the
new
york
state
parks.
B
I
actually
wrote
some
notes,
so
it
it
really
is,
and
it
really
does
come
down
to
the
teacher
because
many
of
the
surrounding
districts,
mr
lojo,
remember
some
of
the
principals
will
get
together.
B
If
you
go
up
by
the
research
lab,
you
see
all
the
national
honors
and
the
local
recognition,
and
now
this
recognition
is
one
of
many
that
will
be
up
there.
She
also
brings
in-
and
I
think
this
o'connor
would
back
me
up
on
that-
a
lot
of
money
as
well
into
the
district
to
fund
these
programs,
and
I
do
also
want
to
not
just
congratulate
dr
grill
but
miss
walnuts.
B
B
You
know
students,
their
parents
are
working,
they
don't
have
a
ride
and
those
rides
over
to
sunken
meadow
were
a
lot
of
times
given
by
you,
and
I
we
really
appreciate
that,
and
it
wouldn't
happen
for
many
of
them,
and
I
know
your
two
children
are
here
and
dr
grello
thanks.
You
immensely
for
all
your
support
and
for
supporting
the
students
but
yeah.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
That
means
a
lot.
C
You
know
what
I've
been
telling
you
that
they
actually
presented
and
yeah.
I
am
such
a
knucklehead.
We
have
so
many
students
that
come
up
and
present
and
we've
been
honored
to
have
some
great,
really
some
some
great
recognition.
This
year
we've
had
regeneron
finalists
semi-finalists.
C
We
also
had
like,
I
can't
recall
the
invent
team
they're,
the
ones
who
presented
right.
So
that's
why
and
some
of
these
students
are
in
the
invent
team.
So
when
I
saw
you
I
said
wait,
you
did
make
a
presentation,
but
you
did
not
present
about
your
work
on
in
the
washes.
Is
that
correct?
C
Yes,
so
you
you've
been
here,
so
I
so
I
really
messed
up.
So
we
actually
haven't
had
a
presentation.
So
you
were
right
to
ask
the
students
if
they
could
give
a
talk,
so
can
we
bring
the
kids
up?
And
maybe
you
know
one
or
two
of
you
can
actually
just
talk
about
your
work
in
the
marshes,
but
everybody
come
up.
So
I
apologize.
That's
right.
I
mean.
I
All
right,
I
guess
I'll
start,
okay,
so
the
work
that
I'm
doing
it
really
involves
what
is
killing
the
marshes,
which
is
an
invasive
species
called
phragmites
australis,
it's
just
it's
a
common
reed.
You
can
find
it
on
the
side
of
the
road
and
with
my
research,
I'm
trying
to
find
a
way
to
safely
kill
it
without
hurting
any
of
the
surrounding
plants
or
life,
because
there's
a
lot
of
hermit
crabs
and
fiddler
crabs
that
live
along
the
marsh
and
the
mars
is
really
essential
to
our
ecosystem
like
hurricanes.
G
So
each
of
us
us
three
here
we
were
part
of
the
lobster
mit
event
team.
We
won
a
ten
thousand
dollar
grant
we
presented
earlier
in
the
year.
G
Found
in
the
salt
marsh,
especially
on
long
island,
and
they
help
filter
the
water,
they
help
keep
the
salt
marsh
clean.
They
help
they're
the
kings
of
the
salt
marsh.
That's
what
I
like
calling
them.
So
our
work
was.
How
can
we
use
this
muscle
to
monitor
all
the
data
around
the
salt
marsh
to
see
if
it's
healthy
or
not,
and
we
started
working
with
a
muscle,
gaping
sensor
and
later
on?
We
started
making
a
song.
G
The
sonde
is
supposed
to
be
a
cost-effective
water
monitoring
device
and
it's
supposed
to
be
easy
to
use.
So
we
can
give
it
to
a
bunch
of
schools
and
you
can
go
out
collect
data
and
you
can
give
it
to
the
state
parks
and
the
state
parks
will
be
able
to
upload
that
and
keep
records
of
that
too.
So
it's
a
really
great
thing
and
as
well
as
some,
these
are
not
all
the
remembers.
G
Of
course,
a
lot
of
our
members
have
been
working
on
different
parts,
communications
and
one
of
our
members
who
has
the
same
name
as
me.
Kevin
he's
been
working
on
the
website
and
our
website
is
where
we'll
be
able
to
upload
all
our
data
and
all
your
data.
If
you
go
take
out
data
you'll
be
able
to
upload
it
there
and
anyone
can
go
and
say.
Okay,
I
want
to
view
the
data
from
sunkenmeadow
on
july
13th
at
5
pm.
H
The
main
point
of
my
research,
without
why
I'm
doing
my
research
I'm
taking
a
lot
of
population
data
from
the
march
and
comparing
it
to
years
past,
and
I'm
also
some
pictures
came
up
over
there,
but
I'm
also
providing
a
kind
of
solution
to
help
restore
the
marsh.
And
these
you
know
the
muscle,
the
spartina
and
even
other
organisms
that
live
off
of
these
kinks
of
the
marsh,
like
the
fiddler
crab.
J
My
research
is
mainly
about
the
waters
of
like
the
marshes
and
stuff,
and
so
I
got
it
and
basically
how
climate
change
is
affecting
the
water
temperatures
and
how
that
affects
phytoplankton,
which
are
really
important
to
other
marine
organisms
in
the
oceans
and
in
the
marsh
and
stuff
like
that.
And
so
my
research
is
more
lab
based.
E
I
am
impressed
because
these
young
men
and
ladies
are
talking
about
real
life.
Research
that
affects
our
communities
affects
the
future
of
our
world
and
they're,
going
to
inherit
how
the
marsh
is
doing
when
they
are
adults,
and
they
start
to
have
families
and
start
to
look
at
how
water
quality
air
quality
life
quality
is
so
very
good
job.
Everyone.
Thank
you
so
much
for
explaining
the
project
and
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
you
again.
C
Thank
you,
catherine,
are
they
incredible?
I
mean
just
as
you
said,
catherine.
I
you
know
we
are
obviously
all
of
us
worried
about
the
environment
and
I'd
say
having
students
like
this
young
people
like
this.
I
think
we
are
in
good
hands.
They
are
incredibly
incredibly
bright,
young
men
and
women
and
we
should
be
so
proud
of
them
as
the
brentwood
community
because
they
actually
represent
us
and
what's
nice
is
they
are
obviously
brilliant,
but
we
have
so
many
other
students
that
are
equally
as
as
smart.
C
We
are
so
fortunate
to
have
some
great
teachers
as
dr,
as
mr
callum
said,
dr
grella
has
just
been
fantastic.
We
have
other
research
teachers
as
well,
but
our
whole
science
and
math
department
is
incredible,
and
I
tell
you
what
guys
you.
You
are
incredible.
C
Every
time
I
hear
you
speak,
I'm
like
man,
I
should
have
studied
more,
but
I,
but
I
just
want
to
thank
you
so
much
for
for
for
this
catherine
and
really
for
the
students
just
representing
the
brentwood
community
so
wonderfully,
but
I
believe
mr
callan
also
has
something
to
say.
B
Yes,
I
just
wanted
to
go
through
some
things
that
dr
grill
and
I
went
through
like
I
said
she
could
not
be
here
tonight,
but
she
did
want
me
to
highlight
that
this.
This
research
done
in
the
march
is
a
collaboration
between
the
lab,
so
doctors,
girls,
lab
at
brentwood
high
school,
the
new
york
state
parks
sea,
grant.
Save
the
sound,
has
been
an
incredible
opportunity
for
our
students.
These
collaborations
are
critical
to
the
stem
success
and
critical
to
the
future
of
the
long
island
environment.
I
think
we
all
saw
after
hurricane
sandy.
B
The
destruction
of
water
and
salt
marshes
really
do
help
they're
like
a
sponge.
So
when
that
tidal
com
wave
comes
in,
they
can
absorb
a
lot
of
it
and
the
water
damage
is
not
as
much
as
it
would
be.
If
these
degrade
any
further.
What
we
saw
in
hurricane
sandy
will
be
nothing
in
the
future
if
we
really
don't
expand
and
save
the
marsh
as
the
sunken
mill
salt
marsh
has
been
restored
by
many
of
the
brentwood
students
here
and
others
planting
well
over
two
thousand
salt
marsh
plants.
B
The
restoration
started
in
2019
many
award-winning
research
projects
could
come
from
the
work
in
the
marsh
from
ahmad
perez.
Who
was
one
of
our
regeneron
finalists
to
the
lopez
twins
who
were
semi-finalists
and
finalists
this
year,
the
march
has
been
an
incredible
research
hot
spot.
The
research
focuses
questions
come
from
the
work
of
dr
grella
and,
as
I
said,
to
miss
o'connor
dr
grell
has
received
over
250
000
in
grant
funds
for
student
projects
in
the
marsh,
from
county
grants
to
state
grants.
The
so
much
has
been
a
great
sanctuary
for
brentwood
in
the
community.
B
The
collaboration
between
the
lab
at
brentwood,
high
school
and
the
new
york
state
parks
and
sea
grant
and
save
the
sound
once
again
has
been
an
incredible
opportunity
and,
on
behalf
of
dr
grella,
it's
an
incredible
honor
to
receive
this
recognition
and
the
banner
which
will
hang
outside
the
research
lab
and
highlights
our
research
program
and
the
students
and
most
of
all,
the
efforts
of
dr
grella
to
really
bring
this
all
together.
I
think
it
started
way
back
when
you
were
in
the
high
school
as
a
club
after
school.
B
At
one
point
and
it's
it's
grown
into
something
that
not
only
is
locally
recognized,
state
recognized
but
nationally,
recognized
and-
and
that's
really
an
incredible,
credible
thing
that
has
been
done.
I
know
started
under
your
leadership
and
we've
continued
at
brentwood
high
school
and
it's
a
real
it's
a
real
great
thing.
C
Yeah,
no,
it
is,
and
we
actually
have
a
tremendous
amount
of
honorees.
Over
the
last
20
years
we
have
regeneron
finalists,
which
is
remarkable,
and
we
have
a
ton
of
semi-finalists,
which
is
equally
as
remarkable
plus
we
have
local
competitions,
lysaf
we're
recognized
frequently
in
those
competitions
as
well
I
mean
it
is:
it's
really
become
one
of
the
finest
research
programs
really
in
new
york
state.
It's
it's
been
recognized,
so
thank
you,
catherine
very
much.
C
K
A
D
D
C
It
is
my
pleasure
to
introduce
the
winter
guard
and
I
just
want
to
say
a
quick
something
about
them.
I
I
think
they
are
just
a
tremendous
organization
before
I
talk
about
them.
However,
I
want
to
talk
about
the
coaches
here
I
I've
actually
known
nick
for
many
many
many
years
and
I'm
so
thrilled
that
sierra
one
of
our
graduates
is
also
now
coaching
our
team.
I
just
want
to
say
that
yeah
we
can
give
them.
C
You
know,
as
I
said
I
I've
known
nick
for
many
many
years
and
sierra.
Obviously,
when
she
was
with
us
in
the
high
school-
and
I
tell
you
what
the
creativity
is
incredible:
every
single
year
they
put
together
a
routine
that
is
it's
beautiful.
C
It's
it's
difficult,
complicated
and
in
just
a
few
short
months
she
has,
and
sierra
and
nick
they
have
these
kids
performing
at
such
a
high
level.
C
It's
really
just
beautiful
to
see
how
it
begins
in
august
and
by
the
time
they
actually
might
begin
before,
then,
when
they
start
choreographing
it,
but
when
they
end
up
in
in
in
the
routine,
it
is
really
just
a
thing
of
beauty
and
then
we
have
kids
who
are
so
dedicated
they
put
in
a
tremendous
amount
of
hours
that
begin
in
the
summertime
they
work
early
in
the
morning
they're
going
through.
I
always
joke
around
that
the
green
machine
there
are
rules
governing
sports.
C
Okay,
if
you're
a
football
player,
you
can
only
practice
till
10
o'clock,
then
you
have
to
go
in
and
then
you
can
come
out
at
four
o'clock,
the
green
machine
they
actually
practice
all
day
long.
So
they're
out
there
in
the
heat
of
the
day
and
they're,
just
tremendously
focused
students-
and
I
I
think
this
is
just
a
great
time
to
honor
them.
C
Now,
I'm
just
speaking
a
little
bit,
I'm
going
to
introduce
our
coordinator
of
performing
and
fine
arts
mr
angel
perez,
and
we're
also
going
to
be
fortunate
to
actually
meet
many
of
the
students,
as
well
as
the
coaches,
and
I
believe
we
have
their
winning
routine.
Is
that
right
we
have
their
winning
routine
that
we're
also
going
to
play.
F
Thank
you.
Thank
you
good
evening
to
the
board
of
education.
Solutioner
fellow
administrators
students.
Parents
youtube
all
right
trying
to
cover
everybody.
I
know
it
really
is
an
honor
to
be
here
today
again
honor
that
it's
just
great
to
be
here.
We
can
recognize
students,
like
I
said
in
my
second
year
being
here,
brentwood
it's.
It's
really
been
a
great
great
growth
for
me
and
it's
just
nice.
F
You
work
with
a
wonderful
team,
but
what
I
really
would
like
just
to
briefly.
Hopefully
I
get
to
the
point-
is
again:
this
is
one
of
the
one
of
my
missions
really
with
my
teachers.
F
I
want
my
teachers
to
dream
again
and
when
I
spoke
to
mr
ashley
nick
was
like
you
know,
I
said:
well,
you
know
what
could
we
do
and
he
and
he
presented
that
if
we
could
really
bring
back
the
winter
guard
and
that's
it
so
I
said
you
know,
so
I
threw
the
ball
and
he
ran
with
it
and-
and
I
said
it's
a
cinderella
story-
they
got
together.
They
worked
hard.
Whatever
he
told
me
he
was
going
to
do.
I
think
he
did
10
times
whatever
he.
F
He
agreed
to
at
the
beginning
he
saw
the
dedication
of
the
kids,
and
I
guess
that
just
lit
him
in
sierra
and
they
just
kept
on
pushing
forward
the
cinderella
story.
Is
they
when
they
started
they
actually
were
pushed
after
their
first
competition.
They
were
pushed
two
levels
above
because
the
the
caliber
of
the
work
that
they
were
doing
and
they
were
able
to
come
home
with
first
place.
The
first
year
of
competition.
F
So
I
say
just
please:
keep
on
dreaming,
keep
on
pushing
and
keep
on
advocating
for
children
again,
something
that
I
love
again
about
hearing
today
is
even
the
diversity
of
programs
we
have
for
our
students,
it's
important
that
we
have
to
find
places
for
our
students
where
they
belong
and
they
can
find
their
little
family
and
find
their
tribe.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Mr
president,.
D
So
what
we
do
have
here
also
is
a
citation
from
assemblyman
ramos
and
I'm
going
to
read
it
there's
one
for
every
one
of
the
students.
It's
says:
new
york
state
assembly,
citation
assemblyman
philip
ramos,
on
behalf
of
the
assembly
of
the
state
of
new
york,
is
proud
to
honor
sierra
gonzalez,
in
recognition
of
being
the
first
alumni
of
brentwood
high
school
to
co-direct,
the
color
guard
show.
We
applaud
your
outstanding
achievements
and
commend
you
for
the
significant
role
in
our
community
in
the
great
state
of
new
york
signed
honorable
phil
ramos.
C
D
D
D
D
K
Hi
everyone:
how
are
you
doing
tonight?
Thank
you
very
much
for
coming.
We
do
appreciate
your
support.
As
always,
when
we
first
jumped
into
this
season,
we
really
didn't
think
it
was
going
to
go
this
far.
Sarah
and.
A
K
Talked
about
it
and
we
were,
you
know
just
going
to
dip
our
toes
in
and
said.
We
really
did
go
for
a
full
dive
and
you
know
we
hit
the
water
pretty
hard,
which
is
nice.
It
was
still
nice
and
cold,
but
just
the
strength
and
the
work.
The
dedication
of
the
students
here
at
brentwood
over
my
10
years
of
being
here
have
been
just
a
blessing
and
really
rewarding
to
work
with
them
and
all
the
staff
and
board
and
everyone
else
here
today.
K
So
I
just
want
to
thank
you
all
for
coming
tonight
and
to
you
know
just
please
give
us
your
support,
as
always,
as
you
have
been
in
the
past,
and
thank
you
guys
right
here.
Your
kids,
if
you
guys,
can
stand
up
please
yep.
C
K
Yeah,
unfortunately,
all
of
them
could
be
here
tonight,
there's
about
eight
kids
missing.
They
do
have
jobs
and
everything
these
kids
grow
up
too
fast
these
days.
But
these
are
the
kids
who
really
did
all
the
magic
here
and
they
should
be
very
proud
of
what
they
did.
Could.
C
You
just
introduce
them
and
bring
them
on.
Of
course,.
K
So
these
are
the
special
crew
that
we
had
this
year
and
you
know
a
lot
of
hard
work,
six
months
of
work.
Actually
it
took
to
do
this
and
their
season
is
six
months.
It's
not
just
like.
Oh,
let
me
just
have
you
here,
but
every
day
they
put
in
their
time
their
effort,
some
blood,
some
tears,
a
lot
of
sweat
and
they
they
did
the
magic.
So
thank
you.
Wow.
A
C
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
D
We
have
a
certificate
from
the
board
of
education
on
behalf
of
the
entire
school
district
teachers
administration.
The
certificate
is
presented
to
the
brentwood
green
machine
winter
guard
for
your
outstanding
performance
and
taking
first
place
in
the
scholastic
double
a
division
at
the
mid-atlantic
indoor
network
championships.
Congratulations
to
all
of
you
really.
C
A
A
A
D
All
right,
they
knew
that
this
was
the
moment
right
that
they
had
to
go
home
and
do
their
homework.
That's
right!
All.
D
Yeah,
all
right,
so
we're
going
to
continue
with
our
agenda
and
what
I'm
going
to
do
is
start
with
a4.
I'd
like
to
call
up
yvette
carvajal,
as
the
student
liaison.
M
Two
weeks
ago,
our
student
liaisons
were
invited
to
a
meeting
with
miss
garotsky
and
miss
o'connor,
the
coordinators
of
the
food
lunch
programs
in
our
schools.
Throughout
the
years
we
have
presented
many
concerns,
concerns
and
questions
with
lunches
served
in
our
schools.
In
this
meeting,
we
were
invited
to
provide
feedback
on
the
meals,
served.
What
we
like,
what
we
don't
like
and
what
we'd
like
to
see
in
the
future,
such
as
vegan
options,
halal
and
dairy
free
options.
M
We
are
so
glad
that
our
voices
have
been
heard
and
we
are
excited
for
the
menu
taste
test
that
we
have
been
invited
to.
We
would
like
again
to
thank
you,
guys,
the
board
and
the
dress
code
committee
for
their
efforts
in
ratifying
the
new
dress
code.
M
M
Tomorrow,
the
afj,
rotc
and
brentwood
high
school
will
host
an
annual
banquet,
a
send-off
for
the
seniors
who
have
dedicated
their
time
to
the
program.
We
look
forward
to
our
senior
field
day,
our
prom
in
two
short
weeks
and
a
celebration
of
12
years
of
hard
work.
Finally,
we
await
our
graduation
and
project
graduation,
where
seniors
will
get
to
walk
through
the
hallways
of
their
respective
elementary
schools
for
one
last
time
as
brentwood
students.
M
D
To
try
to
address
the
dress
code
question.
I
know
that
our
chairperson,
the
policy
committee,
is
not
here,
but
I
do
believe
mr
notion
that
this
was
already
presented.
Is
it
in
the
in
the
still
in
the
approval
process.
C
It's
still
in
the
approval
process,
it
has
been
finalized
and
it
will
be
in
place
for
next
year
and
there
have
been.
You
know,
many
additions
to
the
dress
code
and,
as
you
pointed
out
of
that,
you
know,
lots
of
people
were
involved.
Lots
of
students
were
involved,
high
school
administration.
Mr
callan,
we
had
the
freshman
center.
We
had
actually
had
a
couple
of
board
members
that
were
also
involved.
C
Miss
ortiz
was
on
it.
I
could
think
miss
young
attended
a
meeting,
no
michael,
no
okay.
I
know
I
did
attend
some
meetings
and
it
was.
It
was
really
lots
of
people
put
the
put
in
input
and
we're
excited
about
it.
I
think
it's
a
very
well
written
policy
that
I
suspect
other
districts
across
the
country
will
actually
emulate
it.
It's
written
that
well,
I
really
am
very
proud
of
it.
C
I
want
to
thank
dr
leone,
who
also
actually
he
kind
of
headed
up
the
committee
and
did
a
wonderful
job
along
with
miss
moore
and
miss
gonzalez
prescott.
They
were
on
the
committee
as
well.
Really
it's
terrific.
I
think
the
students
will
be
very
pleased
with
it.
It
gives
an
outline,
it
doesn't
just
list
you
you
can't
do
you
know
do
this,
do
this
do
this?
You
can't
do
this
this
this.
It
actually
gives
our
reasons
and
detailed
explanations
as
to
why
we
chose
certain
parts
to
be
in
the
code
of
conduct.
D
Thank
you
so
much.
We
are
going
to
continue
with
our
agenda
questions
on
agenda
items.
We
did
have
a
question
that
was
sent
to
our
district
clerk
and
the
question
is
on
b2
b2a.
What
does
tonight's
b2a
resolution
vote
mean?
How
does
it
affect
the
results
of
the
election
or
does
it
affect
the
results?
D
L
Bp2A
is
the
agenda
item
in
question
and
that
agenda
item
is
the
resolution
that
is
before
the
board
to
declare
the
results
of
the
may
17th
election.
The
declaration
by
the
board
is
required
by
the
new
york
state
education
law
that
the
election
inspector
for
each
election
district
will
report
the
results
to
the
district
clerk.
The
district
clerk
will
then
report
the
results
to
the
board
of
education
and
within
24
hours
of
the
board
receiving
those
results
from
the
district
clerk.
L
It
must
declare
the
results
to
the
community
through
a
resolution,
so
that
is
the
purpose
of
that
agenda.
Item.
D
Thank
you.
Thank
you
so
much
so
with
that
being
said,
that's
the
only
question
that
we
have
on
the
agenda
and
I'm
going
to
continue
with
the
consent
agenda,
be
resolved
that
the
following
items
be
approved
b1a
through
b1m.
Could
I
have
motion
please
ocean.
D
K
D
Second,
by
trustee
felix
all
in
favor,
aye
opposed
sentience,
so
moved.
We
are
going
to
go
to
b2
the
next
item
b2a
through
b2e,
be
it
resolve
that
the
following
items
be
approved
b2a
through
b2e.
We
are
going
to
modify
b2a
and
we're
going
to
modify
that
as
follows.
Be
it
resolved
that
the
board
of
education
hereby
declares
and
certifies,
actually
we're
going
to
take
certifies
out
of
that,
so
it
would
be
modified
as
follows.
D
Be
it
result
of
the
board
of
education,
hereby
declares
the
results
of
the
may
17th
2022
annual
meeting
and
election
as
set
forth
on
the
attached
election
results
form
in
accordance
with
these
results.
The
board
of
education
hereby
declares
that
proposition
one
budget
was
approved
and
that
maria
molave
and
hassan
ahmed
have
been
elected
to
serve
on
the
board
of
education
for
three
year
for
three
year
terms,
beginning
on
july,
1st
2022.
D
In
essence,
what
we
did
was
we
took
out
the
words
certified,
so
I
need
a
motion
to
amend
as
right,
optional
motion
mentioned
by
trustee
gonzalez.
Can
I
have
a
second
please?
Second,
my
trusty
virgos,
all
in
favor,
sentient,
so
moved.
D
L
D
Second,
by
trustee
felix,
all
in
favor,
aye
aye
opposed
absentians,
so
moved
be
it
resolved
following
it
was
be
approved,
c1a
and
c1b.
Could
I
have
a
motion?
Please
no
motion
by
trustee
safiri
could
have
a
second
thank
you
by
trustee
burgos,
all
in
favor,
aye
opposed
abstentions,
so
moved
we're
going
to
now
go
to
the
d
items,
page
15.,
d1a,
appointments
resignations
and
leaves
of
certificated
personnel.
As
proposed
on
the
agenda.
Can
I
have
a
motion,
please
motioned
by
trustee
virgos?
D
D
A
D
D
So
moved
d1c
last
chance
agreement
as
proposed
on
the
agenda.
Yes,
could
have
a
motion.
Please
motion
by
trustee
burgos
can.
D
Ratification
of
memorandum
of
agreement
as
proposed
well,
let
me
read
this
one:
I'll
be
resolved
at
the
board
of
education
of
the
brentwood
union.
Free
school
district
hereby
approves
and
ratifies
a
certain
memorandum
of
agreement
dated
may
3rd
2022
between
the
negotiating
representatives
of
the
brentwood
union
free
school
district
and
the
negotiating
representatives
of
the
brentwood
professional
nurses
association
and
authorizes
the
board
president
to
execute
a
new
collective
bargaining
agreement
between
the
parties
incorporating
the
terms
of
said
memorandum
of
agreement.
Could
I
have
a
motion
please.
A
D
D
D
Now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
full-time
buildings
and
grounds
employees
and
security
personnel
are
provided
a
paid
holiday
on
june
20th
2022
in
observance
of
juneteenth
and
be
it
further
result
that
the
conferral
of
the
paid
holiday
for
juneteenth
is
limited
to
the
2021-2022
school
year
and
shall
not
be
deemed
as
to
be
a
modification
of
article
3,
11
or
13,
or
any
other
provision
of
the
local
237
collective
bargaining
agreement.
Can
I
have
a
motion,
please.
D
D
C
Sure
I'll
explain
it
and
if
I
miss
any
details,
I'll
ask
miss
o'connor
to
fill
in
those
details.
But
basically
is
it's
this
we
have
a
production
center.
Currently
we
have
a
an
administrator
in
charge
of
that
department.
There
are
actually
four
retirees
that
are
occurring
almost
simultaneously.
We
have
a
clerical
and
then
three
part-time
workers
that
operate
the
machinery
in
the
production
center
and
if
you
have
an
opportunity
you
swing
by
it's
right
here
in
central
administration,
it
is
a
huge
undertaking.
C
That
requires
a
certain
expertise
to
handle
and,
as
a
matter
of
fact,
in
a
district,
this
size,
it's
a
if
there
is
constant
printing
and
copying
and
all
kinds
of
other
jobs
that
get
accomplished
in
that
production
center.
C
So,
on
the
recommendation
of
the
administrator,
we're
actually
we're
actually
changing
the
job
title
of
the
clerical,
that
is
retiring
and
those
three
part-time
workers,
we're
going
to
replace
with
this
civil
service
civil
service
job
title
called
a
photocopy
machine
operator
and
that
one
person
where
we
had
three
part-timers
this
one
person
will
operate
all
of
the
machinery.
So
we've
actually
gone
from
a
in
essence,
a
five
department,
five
person
department
down
to
a
three
person
department.
D
You
so
this
is
clearly
a
cost-saving
measure
and
ultimately
efficient
much
more
efficient
for
the.
C
District,
I
I
think,
that's
the
the
goal
here
right.
It
was
cost
saving
as
well
as
or
more
efficient,
yep.
D
Great
any
other
questions
from
board
members
nope.
Okay,
so
we
have
a
motion
in
a
second
on
the
floor.
All
in
favor
opposed
obsessions.
D
E1
items
for
information
e1a,
the
student
enrollment
figures,
as
proposed
on
the
agenda
f16
miscellaneous
items
as
proposed
on
the
agenda
g,
won
a
old
new
business
for
solution.
If
you
have
anything.
C
We
do
we
have
quite
a
bit.
You
actually
heard
the
student
liaison
actually
mention
a
number
of
them.
I
would
like
to
just
as
usual
highlight
some
of
the
great
things
that
are
happening
in
the
district,
but,
as
I
say
every
month,
there
is
a
great
deal
more
than
that.
Before
I
forget,
however,
I
don't
think
it's
on
my
list.
I
do
want
to
thank
the
american
legion
here
in
brentwood.
They
actually
collected
quite
a
few
student
supplies,
and
I
want
to
thank
miss
felix,
miss
fury.
C
They
came
out
met
with
the
american
legion
today
they
brought
those
over
to
the
hemlock.
It
really
was
a
wonderful
ceremony.
I
want
to
thank
all
the
members
of
the
american
legion
for
their
generous
donations,
so
we
have
spring
concerts
are
in
full
swing
at
all
schools
at
the
elementary
level.
C
Fourth
and
fifth
grade
students
are
entertaining
the
younger
grades
during
the
day
and
having
evening
shows
for
families
I
I
have
made
most
of
them
and
they
are
terrific,
and
I
also
want
to
tell
the
district,
and
this
is
really
something
to
be
proud
of-
that.
What
what's
happening
is
we're.
Bringing
the
fourth
and
fifth
grade
choir,
which
are
really
performing
just
just
beautifully,
and
not
just
as
choirs,
but
also
instrumentals.
C
What
we're
doing
is
we're
live
streaming
that
to
the
rest
of
the
school,
so,
for
instance,
yesterday,
for
example,
I
was
at
loretta
park.
They
had
a
laptop
set
up
very
similar
to
this,
and
they
bought
down
a
few
classes
to
the
gymnasium
they
didn't
have
to
pack
it
out
and
at
the
same
time,
the
first
and
second
and
third
graders.
They
were
actually
back
in
their
classrooms
watching
on
their
aquas
boards.
C
So
I
mean
really
an
incredible
use
of
technology,
and
so
no
one
misses
a
concert
and
it's
it's
really
cool
and
I
believe
all
of
our
elementary
schools
are
doing
that
and
you
know
I
think,
we're
doing
that
for
quite
a
few
events
as
they
occur
just
like
this
board
meeting.
Obviously,
so
we
are
excited
to
announce
that
we
have
over
20
different
summer
opportunities
for
students
in
k
through
12.
C
parents
should
be
on
the
lookout
next
week
for
registration
links
on
parent
square,
to
enroll
students
for
the
summer
program,
starting
as
early
as
june
27th.
That
is
the
monday
immediately
following
graduation
or
the
end
of
school.
This
beautiful
colorful
brochure
will
be
posted
on
our
website
and
on
facebook,
I'm
going
to
hold
it
up
to
the
camera
here.
This
actually
is
a
trifold.
C
It
has
over
20
summer
programs
that
we're
very,
very
excited,
for
I
want
to
thank
miss
young,
miss
ortiz,
miss
palmer
and
all
of
the
administrators
and
teachers.
Who've
worked
on
this.
We
literally
will
have
probably
four
to
five
conservatively
speaking,
because
we
also
have
another
brochure
that
we're
going
to
put
out
with
our
athletic
programs,
because
we
have
quite
a
few
athletic
programs,
as
well
as
the
swim
program
occurring
this
summer.
So
conservatively
speaking,
we
probably
will
service
about
four
to
five
thousand
students
in
some
type
of
program
this
summer.
C
So
when
people
ask
what
we
are
doing
with
our
money,
are
we
spending
it
on
kids?
We
spend
it
on
kids
during
the
school
year.
We
spend
it
on
saturdays
on
sundays,
but
also
we
have
a
dedicated
staff
servicing
kids
during
the
summer.
I
want
to
thank
all
of
the
teachers
and
administrators
and
support
staff
that
will
be
there.
C
Oh,
and
so
so
I
also
want
to
say
that
we
have
the
brochures
here
for
everybody.
That's
here
I
did
mention
that
it's
it's
going
to
be
on
parent
square,
be
on
the
website.
You'll.
Also,
we've
extremely
sophisticated
here
right,
miss
chang.
We
actually
have
the
registration
links.
I'm
amazed,
I
saw
miss
ortiz
meeting
today.
We
you
actually
go
to
the
website.
C
You
click
on
what
grade
your
child
is
in,
if
it's
in
third
grade
or
entering,
because
if
you're
entering
third
grade
there'll
be
a
spot,
you
click
on
that
and
it
will
describe
all
of
the
different
programs
that
your
third
grade
child
can
enter
and
below.
That
will
be
the
application,
so
you
just
submit
the
application
right
there
incredibly
sophisticated.
I
want
to
thank
ivanya
who
we
just
spoke
about
and
miss
chang
for
for
taking
care
of
that.
N
I
C
Okay
slash
summer,
thank
you.
Is
there
a
link
on
the
front
page,
though
also
that'll
take
them
there
or
no.
C
There
will
be
okay.
Thank
you
very
much.
So
we're
really
excited
I'm
very
excited
about
that,
and
also
just
this
just
in
we
will
have
a
golf
team.
Thank
you,
mr
feliciano.
C
That
will
actually
be
an
interscholastic
golf
team
that
will
begin
this
september
and
actually
we
have
lots
of
kids
who
are
participating
in
golf
right
now,
but
that's
just
what
I
shouldn't
say
just,
but
it
is
really
a
club
so
to
speak
and
that's
middle
school
in
high
school,
but
next
year
we're
going
to
have
a
golf
team
very
excited
about
that
and
they
will
be
competing
which,
by
the
way
we
have
the
badminton
team
just
finished
up
their
first
season.
C
Okay
last
yesterday-
and
it
was
terrific
and
as
the
coaches
they
actually
sent
me
a
text
saying
that
they're,
the
winningest
badminton
team
in
the
history
of
brentwood-
and
they
are-
they
will
hold
that
distinction
until
next
year,
or
maybe
maybe
they'll.
You
know
they'll
continue
winning,
so
we
have
destined
for
greatness,
will
be
held
on
friday
june
10th
from
5
30
p.m,
to
8
00
p.m.
This
event
will
take
place
in
the
ross
auditorium
at
the
high
school.
C
Oh
I'm
sorry
to
be
at
the
oh,
that's
it
oh
okay,
okay,
but
that
will
be
in
the
sandling
shadrach,
our
former
brentwood
student.
Everybody
knows
shadrach
incredibly,
incredibly
talented
young
man
who
obviously
always
wants
to
give
back
to
the
community,
which
is
really
wonderful
of
him.
He's
a
brentwood
student,
as
I
said,
an
actor
director,
motivational,
speaker
and
writer
and
will
be
our
keynote
speaker
for
the
evening.
We
will
have
special
performances
by
the
anti-bullying
club
and
the
high
school
string.
Orchestra.
All
are
welcome.
That's
again!
C
On
june
10th,
the
speech
department
presents
better
hearing
and
better
hearing
and
speech
carnival
tomorrow
at
east
middle
school.
If
you've
never
had
an
opportunity
to
swing
by
it
really
is
a
wonderful
event.
All
of
the
speech
teachers
will
be
there
as
well
as
administrators
and
that's
from
4
p.m.
To
6.
30
p.m.
Bring
your
children
to
participate
in
many
fun
activities.
C
C
They
did
some
great
things
a
few
years
back,
so
the
first
cohort
of
smart
scholars
will
graduate
this
year,
a
ceremony
will
be
held
at
farmingdale
university
on
may
31st
to
celebrate
the
32
32
students
that
will
have
you
ready
for
this
32
students
will
have
more
than
30
college
credits,
so
they
are
literally
going
to
skip
a
year
and
every
year
that
program
grows
and
grows
now
don't
be
mistaken.
Ladies
and
gentlemen,
that's
just
this
cohort
of
students
32
have
over
30
credits.
C
We
have
also
many
many
other
college
programs
where
students
are
receiving
3,
6,
9,
12,
15
credits
and
even
more
on
saturday
may
7th.
At
north
middle
school,
we
held
the
inaugural
family
engagement
festival,
hosted
by
mr
angler,
miss
paula
ribeiro
and
an
amer
and
administrator
intern.
Who
is
john
shanley?
Also
a
teacher
at
north
middle?
There
were
presentations
on
topics
ranging
from
social
media
awareness
to
self
motivation
and
self
care.
Alicia
mcnicholas
conducted
an
alumni
roundtable
in
which
former
students
examined
the
importance
and
value
of
brentwood
education.
Many
members
memories
were
made.
C
It
really
was
a
terrific
event.
I
also
want
to
be
before
I
continue
with
this.
We
had
a
the
scholarship
evening
last,
I
guess
was
last
thursday
or
wednesday
of
last
week
and,
and
it
really
just
was
a
a
wonderful
ceremony.
I
want
to
thank
everybody
who
donated
to
our
seniors
literally
probably
a
couple
hundred
thousand
dollars
worth
of
scholarships
were
handed
out
to
many
terrific,
terrific
kids
and
it
was
a
wonderful
evening
and
miss
santorelli.
The
social
studies
department
head
ran
that
evening
on
may
26th.
C
We
will
be
hosting
our
annual
spanish
spelling
bee
spelling
bee
at
6.
00
p.m
in
the
sambling
auditorium
all
are
welcome
to
attend,
and
I
also
want
to
give
a
very
special
thanks
to
our
very
own
attorney
here.
Ms
candice
gomez,
I'm
going
to
ask
her
to
speak
real
briefly,
but
her
organization
put
together
prom
dresses
and
it
really
was
a
wonderful
event.
C
L
Well,
thank
you
so
much.
We
just
love
having
the
opportunity
to
work
with
the
brentwood
community.
I
am
a
member
of
the
board
of
directors
of
the
long
island,
hispanic
bar
association.
So
that's
an
organization
of
attorneys
and
our
goal
is
to
provide
service
primarily
to
hispanic
attorneys
on
the
island,
but
we
also
do
a
great
deal
of
community
service
as
well.
L
So
what
we
started
to
do
a
couple
of
years
ago
was
to
do
an
annual
prom
dress,
drive
where
we
would
accept
donations
throughout
the
year
of
different
prom
dresses,
shoes
accessories,
just
anything
that
we
could
gather
to
make
prom
a
really
special
day
for
all
of
the
lovely
young.
Ladies
here
I
think
we
had
our
first
prom
dish
drive
back
in
2018
or
2019.
L
L
We
were
originally
just
going
to
give
dresses
to
students
here
in
brentwood,
and
we
had
such
an
overwhelming
outpour
of
dresses
that
we
were
also
able
to
give
dresses
to
students
in
the
wine
dance
school
district
and
I
believe
the
islip
school
district
as
well.
So
thank
you
for
everyone
who
donated
all
of
your
generosity.
Thank
you
to
the
board
and
the
administration
for
allowing
us
to
do
this,
and
I
want
to
say
a
special
thanks
to
the
high
school.
L
C
D
So
I
mean
it's
just
wonderful
to
hear
where
we
are
as
a
district.
We
should
be
incredibly
proud
of
of
everything.
That's
coming
to
this
community
over
the
next
two
years.
It
really
is
going
to
be
transformational,
it
is
it
is
already.
D
You
know
we
I
we
did
get
to
look
at
this
brochure.
We
know
of
all
the
programs
that
are
coming
in.
It
really
is
a
just
a
wonderful,
wonderful
time
to
be
a
part
of
brentwood.
It's
you
know.
The
goal
is,
is
to
leave
brentwood.
You
know
set
up
for
the
next
50
years
in
terms
of
everything
that
we're
doing,
but
along
the
way
I
mean
you
know
to
hear
that
we
have.
D
You
know
that
many
students
with
30
college
credits
in
their
pocket
when
they
leave
it's
at
zero
cost,
basically
at
zero
cost
for
those
students-
and
you
know
we
encourage
everyone
to
just
take
a
look
at
this,
and
you
know
you
have
you're
you're
halfway
to
an
associates.
You
know
and
just
really
good
news
and-
and
I
know
that
it's
going
to
continue
it's
going
to
continue
for
for
the
near
future,
and
we
should
be.
We
should
all
be
very
proud
of
what's
happening
in
this
district.
D
N
Good
evening,
everyone
jorah
noyola
brentwood
resident
before
I
start
on
the
topic
that
I
had
written
down
the
election.
One
of
the
sad
parts
about
it
is
the
amount
of
votes
we
got
in
fall.
It
was,
but
we
barely
made
a
little
over
1400.
N
I
mean
18
000
students,
1400
votes,
I
don't
know
what
else
or
how
or
what
we
can
do,
because
even
I
noticed
when
the
males
the
votes
were
mailed
due
to
the
pandemic.
It
wasn't
a
better
turnout.
Even
that
way
we
got
a
little
bit
more,
but
nothing
to
brag
about
that's
one
of
the
things
when
you're
looking
at
you
know
all
the
districts
smaller
districts
have
more
people
voting
and
it's
like
where's
everybody.
Why
are
people
not
voting?
N
I
don't
know
my
concern
is
again
the
boces
and,
I
have
to
say
it
was
beautiful
with
the
ceremony
that
was
presented
and
how
the
students
received
and
with
callan's
help
and
stacy's
to
get
the
program
going,
the
marsh
and
all
the
information
that
they're
bringing
back
and
it's
great,
because
the
young
are
interested
in
saving
this
planet
and
and
having
a
great
future
for
them
for
their
kids
and
so
forth,
and
so
on
with
that
said,
since
I
moved
out
here,
I'm
19
years
now,
my
children
were
able
to
attend
the
brentwood
school
district.
N
N
We,
I
guess,
can
we
agree
that
we
have
to
help,
because
if
we
didn't
help
the
students
excel
in
the
march
in
in
the
competition
that
they
just
they
wouldn't
have
gotten
there,
we
have
to
help
all
students
and
they
can
excel,
and
they
do
my
youngest
who's.
30
attended
the
ceo
program,
the.
D
N
Program
and
I
have
to
say
she
learned
life
skills
so
that
god
forbid,
when
I'm
no
longer
here,
yes,
she's,
going
to
need
some
help
from
her
sisters
and
family,
but
I
know
she's
going
to
be
able
to
manage
and
protect
her
rights
as
she
you
know,
continues
to
live
when
I'm
no
longer
here
to
help
her
fight.
So
with
that
said,
it's
the
earliest
supplies
and
function
and
services
that
we
give
these
students
at
an
early
start
is
what's
benefit.
N
We
got
to
give
them
a
foundation,
you
can't
push
them
through
and
push
them
through,
and
you
can't
give
them
too
much
time
because
it
takes
them
longer
to
learn
what
takes
the
child.
You
know
the
10
months,
children
in
special
ed
and
with
special
needs
and
different
needs,
take
a
little
longer.
They
will
get
there,
but
it
does
take
longer
so
the
longer
they're
here,
the
more
we're
hurting
them.
N
One
example
is
a
meadow
park
and
you
know
they
have
to
go
pick
up
the
children
to
give
them
pt,
ot
and
speech,
and
it's
30
minutes
that
they're
allowed
it
for
that
service.
Well,
by
the
time
they
go,
get
the
students
bring
them
back
this
and
they're
not
getting
30
minutes.
They
may
be
kidding
if
anything
is
15,
because
now
they
hurry
up
and
they
gotta
go.
Take
them
back,
and
I
witnessed
this
only
because
one
of
the
officers
are
behind
in
the
two
offices
part
of
the
nurse's
office.
N
So
maybe
even
starting
there
a
recommendation
instead
of
30
minutes,
that's
allocated
for
their
services
do
50
or
45,
so
that
that
seven
or
eight
minutes
is
seven
or
eight
minutes
going
seven
or
eight
minutes
coming
back
and
they
can
really
still
get
a
30-minute
service,
which
is
what
they
need.
Also
a
non-verbal
child
to
only
receive
twice
a
week
speech.
N
That's
like
a
junior
band-aid.
When
you
need
a
big
one
again
start
it
young,
give
it
to
them
young
so
that
maybe
down
the
line,
you
can
then
cut
it
back,
but
I've
been
hearing
from
parents
from
co-workers
from
the
csea
unit,
they're,
not
getting
these
services
they're
cutting
them
back.
Someone
said
to
me-
and
I
hope
it
wasn't
true-
that
their
child
would
receive
twice
a
week,
a
service.
N
N
I
said
please
tell
me
that
that
parent
said
show
me
proof
that,
where
my
child
is
that
they
don't
need
this
anymore,
but
again
parents
not
wanting
that
stigmatism,
not
sometimes
knowing
or
maybe
afraid
or
not
sure,
to
say
anything
go
along
with
the
recommendations,
but
no
we
give
them
what
you
can
and
it's
not
that
the
the
district
doesn't
want
to.
We
just
don't
have
it.
Boces
has
all
the
facilities
already
set,
send
them
there.
N
N
D
D
So
maybe,
if
I
could
take
the
first
part,
is
that
I
agree
with
you.
The
voter
turnout
is
is
really
it's.
It's
historically,
it's
been
low
and
having
done
this
for
so
many
years,
I
do
notice
a
pattern
and
I
think
that
nationally,
I
think
that
people
would
agree
in
terms
of
the
you
know.
Political
scientists
is
that
that
people
usually
only
come
out
when
they're
protesting
when
there's
something
wrong
with
this.
D
When
there's
when
there
is
a
problem
and-
and
that
is
you
know,
I
think
that
most
people
would
agree,
and-
and
you
know
when
you
have
when
things
are
running
smoothly-
and
you
have
something
like
on
our
budget-
a
zero
percent
tax
levy
increase.
D
You
know
what
is
there
to
protest,
what
is
there
to
to
come
out
and
and
fight
against,
and-
and
I
think
that
that
lends
itself
to
low
voter
turnout,
but
I
got
to
tell
you
when,
when
things
are
not
running
smoothly
and
when
things
when
there
are
issues
big
issues,
people
do
come
out,
but
that's
unfortunate
because
it
should
be
consistent,
and
I
and
I
totally
agree
with
you.
D
C
Yeah
carmen,
I
think
you
you
might
misunderstand
when
it
comes
to
boces
I'll
begin
there
we're
bringing
boces
into
the
high
school
okay,
there's
only
two
courses
that
we're
bringing
and
that's
cosmetology
and
it's
barbering
and
we're
actually
servicing
twice
the
amount
of
students
in
that
program
when
we
send
students
out
that
would
only
24
of
our
students
can
take
that
program.
Now
that
we're
bringing
that
onto
the
campus
we're
actually
going
to
we're
going
to
be
able
to
give
48
students.
So
there's
a
misconception
there,
I'm
not
sure
what
happened.
C
C
C
You've
got
to
start
there,
you
have
to
you
can't
right-
and
there
are
you
know
many
programs.
I
know
miss
young.
You
probably
want
to
respond
to
that.
There
are
other
things
as
well
that
you
know
that
also
in
terms
of
the
ot
and
the
pt.
That
should
be
30
minutes
if
it's
a
30
minute
session
that
will
be
30
minutes
that
they
should
be
with
their
pt
and
or
ot.
That
travel
time
does
not
factor
into
that.
C
N
C
C
Well,
there's
it's
actually,
you
know
all
of
those
all
of
those
specials
which
we
call
specials.
Those
are
all
they
are
all
choreographed
by
the
high
school
principal,
I'm
sorry
by
the
building
principle.
So
there
are
people
walking,
students
down
and.
O
I
think
that
I
would
have
to
do
research
and
follow
up.
I
I
couldn't
just
take
that
without
looking
into
it.
You
would
have
to
give
me
more
specifics
about
the
teacher,
that's
going
to
pick
up
students
and
I
would
have
to
look
at
it
and
see
if
that
that
is
an
issue
with
the
teacher
not
factoring
the
time.
I
I've
never
heard
this
before.
O
It
was
never
brought
to
my
attention,
but
I
will
definitely
check
into
that
all
recommendations
that
are
made
are
made
by
the
committee
of
special
education.
The
frequency
that
these
services
are
provided
are
recommendations
by
the
committee,
so
we
follow
those
recommendations.
They
are
then
put
on
the
iep.
O
So
that's
what
we
do
as
far
as
boces
special
education
has
a
special
boces
program.
We
also
have
a
ceo
program.
We
still
send
kids
to
that
program.
O
She
just
the
the
the
the
work
is
very
challenging
for
them,
so
they
go
to
boces
special
careers,
so
there
are
different
things
going
on.
We
send
many
of
our
students
there.
We
also
recently
posted
a
a
posting
for
a
transition
coordinator
to
increase
post-secondary
outcomes
for
students
with
special
needs,
we've
put
in
the
adaptive
living
skills
kitchen
so
that
our
students
will
be
able
to
get
those
life
skills
that
they
need.
So
I
mean
throughout
my
tenure.
O
O
We
actually
organize
that
program
with
the
teacher
and
we
have
a
radio
bus
that
actually
takes
those
kids
outside
of
the
ceo
program,
but
we
do
have
similar
job
shadowing
opportunities
through
the
ceo
program
and
it
is
my
hope,
with
the
transition
coordinator
that
will
be
able
to
expand
those
opportunities
for
our
kids.
Thank
you.
D
D
I'm
sure
that
you'll
follow
up
on
it.
Thank
you
so
much
and
miss
young.
Thank
you
so
much
because
I
know
how
innovative
and
I
know
everything
that
you've
brought
to
the
table
and
just
listening
to
to
just
you
know
that
that
really
that
you
know
four
or
five
minute
blurb
is
just
a.
I
know
it's
just
a
fraction
of
what
you're
doing
and
and
we've
said
it,
and
I
and
I
sincerely
believe
it
you
know
we
are
so
lucky
to
have
you
as
the
leader
in
that
department.
D
So
thank
you
so
much.
C
Now,
she's,
terrific
yeah,
very
innovative.
You
know
we
we
do
have
to
guard
against
anecdotal
stories.
I
mean
you
know.
This
is
something
that
we
we
battled
quite
a
bit.
There
certainly
might
be
isolated
cases,
but
we
don't
want
to
go
broad
strokes
here
because
I,
I
think,
miss
young,
her
administrative
team
and
the
special
education
department
top
to
bottom
really
are
out
for
their
students
and
also
it.
There
is
a
misconception.
I
think
that
was
really
what
miss
young
said
about
the
committee
on
special
education
which
parents
are
involved
in.
C
They
make
a
decision.
It's
it's,
not
one
person
dictating
okay,
I'm
gonna
give
this
person
30
minutes
a
week
or
once
a
month
or
something
along
those
lines.
So
parents
should
be
intimately
involved
in
the
committee
in
special
education.
They
are.
A
committee
has
typically
administrators
teachers,
special
education,
theaters
and,
and
parents.
C
Right
but
again
we
you
know
if
you
have
certain
cases
carmen
please
just
tell
ms
young
and
we'll
certainly
look
into
that
and.
D
Just
in
conclusion,
I
mean
any
parent-
that's
out
there,
that's
listening
to
this.
If
they
have
any
concerns
in
terms
of
the
services
that
are
being
provided
to
their
children,
I
strongly
recommend
to
just
start
with
the
building
principle.
I
don't
think
that
there's
a
building
principle
in
this
district
that
won't
address
the
problem
and,
if
that's
not
being,
if
that's
not
being
addressed
at
that
point,
then
that's
where
you
take
a
stop
over
at
miss
young's
office.
Give
her
a
call-
and
I
and
I
and
I'm
gonna,
put
my
word
on
it.
D
It
will
be
handled
so
again
to
anybody.
That's
out
there.
That's
listening!
A
parent
who
may
have
some
concerns
speak
to
your
building
principle
document.
It
wait
for
those
changes
and
those
modifications
to
happen.
If
it
doesn't
happen,
that's
where
you
take
it
up
to
the
next
level,
which
would
be
superintendent
assistant,
superintendent,
young.
So
thank
you,
mr
lotion,
for
for
explaining
those
things.
D
So
our
next
community
comment
comes
from
mr
fritz
and
mr
fritz,
I'm
going
to
just
say
that
I
was
hoping
that
I
did
a
preemptive
strike
by
handing
mr
loshener.
The
note
about
the
golf
team-
you
didn't
have
an
explanation
as
to
what
subject
you
were
going
to
be
talking
about,
so
I
was
like
okay,
let's
head
this
off
at
the
past,
mr
mr
fritz,
the
golf
team
will
be
coming
this
september.
D
It's
going
to
be
interscholastic,
it's
going
to
it's
going
to
be
feeding
our
championship,
golfers
to
the
high
school
and
we
will
produce.
We
will
produce
scholar
athletes
and
we
will
produce
I'm
going
to
predict
students
that
graduate
from
brentwood
with
golf
scholarships.
That
is
my
prediction
for
today.
All
right.
Take
it
away,
mr
fritz.
P
Joe
fritz
brentwood
resident
I'd
like
to
comment
positively
with
respect
to
what
you
said,
mr
feliciano.
In
the
words
of
the
the
nobel
prize
winner
bob
dylan
times,
they're
changing.
P
And
I'm
very
happy
for
that,
because
I
believe
within
the
next
several
years
we
will
have
individuals
receiving
scholarships
and
I
I've.
I
have
known
two
individuals
who
receive
full
golf
scholarships
to
hofstra
and
that's
not
exactly
a
known
golf
school
and
that's
worth
about
forty
thousand
dollars
or
fifty
thousand
dollars
a
year,
full
boats
for
to
be
on
the
golf
team.
I
mean
these
gentlemen
like
two-handed
mine
is
too
handicapped.
That
means
they
they
shot
in
the
60s,
but
nevertheless
it's
it's.
It's
very,
very
positive.
P
I
also
like
the
one
and
a
sad
note.
I
want
to
wish
you
and
miss
moore
the
best
of
wishes.
It's
not
too
bad
on
this
side
of
the
rail
as
a
former
board
member,
I
hope
and
you
wish
to
join
us.
Certainly
you
have
a
lot
to
offer
and
I'd
like
to
thank
you
and
paula
for
your
service.
P
I've
worked
with
both
yous
on
many
occasions
and
earlier
and
you've
done
brentwood
proud,
and
I
also
want
to
wish
our
new
board
members
the
very
best
wishes
also-
and
I
think
that
we
all
need
to
start
things
on
the
right
foot
last
month.
I
was
critical
about
the
graduation
rate
of
brentwood
schools
in
2021
I
made.
I
did
make
a
mistake
when
I
stated
that
the
brentwood
graduation
rate
was
65
for
june
of
21.
P
P
I
did
look
at
our
sister
school
over
in
central
islip,
which
had
an
over
80
percent
82
percent-
I
believe
rate
of
graduation
for
the
june
and
up
to
84
86
percent
for
the
august.
So
you
know
we
have
a
bit
of
a
way
to
climb.
P
I
believe
the
school
board
member
who
took
exception
to
my
characterization
of
the
brentwood's
graduation
rate,
was
you
know
what
may
have
been
a
bit
sensitive
to
my
criticism.
Usually
I'm
trying
to
I
like
to
be
on
even
keel,
because
I
don't
want
to.
I
don't
want
to
raise
anyone's
blood
pressure
by
making
critical
comments,
and
I
certainly
feel
disposed
to
think
that
rational
minds
are
better
when
they
speak
at
a
deliberate
tone,
but
not
a
a
caustic
tone.
P
There's
also
the
fact
that
the
other
school
districts
which
I
just
mentioned
central
islip,
showed
a
a
rather
graphic
difference
and
the
demographics
economically.
I
did
look
to
see
what
the
per
capita
income
was
in
brentwood
and
the
per
capita
income
in
central
islip.
It
was
pretty
much
indistinguishable
and
the
demographics
are
relatively
similar,
maybe
a
smaller
school
district.
But
nevertheless,
if
you
look
at
the
statistics,
they're
probably
very,
very
similar-
and
that
is
why
I
said-
and
I
referred
to
just
the
facts
I
said
brentwood
does
need
a
wake-up
call.
P
We
don't
need
to
go
forward
for
two
years
to
bump
and
we
don't
need
to
go
forward
two
years
to
bump
up
the
graduation
rate
by
going
from
a
four
four-year
graduation
rate
to
a
five
and
a
six.
I
did
listen
to
that
one
particular
aspect
of
by
ms
ortiz.
I
did
listen
to
it
and,
and
it
was
it
was
ostensibly
the
way
I
looked
at
it
is.
What
I
believe
I
like
is
facts
and
figures.
P
P
I
state
that
what
was
what
must
be
done
is
to
acknowledge
and
establish
a
goal
for
the
next
year
to
bump
up
the
graduation
rate
by
a
mere
three
percent
within
five
years.
The
graduation
rate
would
bring
us
over
80
percent
and
these
changes
in
the
school
administration.
Our
attitude
will
change,
I
mean
if
we
went
in
five
years
from
66
68
to
82.
P
That's
that's
progress.
Now
I,
what
I
fail,
a
lot
of
people
will
say
was
well.
We
can
do
better
than
that.
Well,
obviously,
we
have
it
that's
why
I
I
like
these
little
bit
goals
where
you
do
it
a
little
bit
at
a
time,
and
this
wasn't
my
idea-
I
went
to
another
educator
and
I
asked
for
that
particular
person's
opinion
and-
and
the
person
came
up
with
that,
I
thought
it
was
very,
very
useful.
P
I
state
that
what
must
be
excuse
me
with
to
start
with
a
guess
as
to
what
can
be
done,
is
not
acceptable.
We
must
have
a
plan.
Secondly,
is
the
hard
part.
P
The
setting
of
a
goal
with
a
plan
to
increase
the
june
graduation
rate
by
three
percent
a
year
for
five
years
will
be
a
start
to
spend
a
considerable
sum
of
money
to
find
the
root
of
the
problem
and
then
apply
the
knowledge
obtained
by
the
study
to
solve.
This
is,
in
my
opinion,
the
next
step
in
preparing
the
brentwood
school
system
to
be
at
the
forefront
in
the
middle
part
of
our
century.
Thank
you
very
much.
D
Thank
you,
mr
fritz,
and,
and
you
know
what
I
I
just
my
hat's
off
to
you
for
all
of
the
thoroughness.
I
know
that
you
went
home.
I
knew
that
you
wouldn't
go
and
take
a
look
at
that
clip
and
that's
why
I
had
offered
it
up.
I
I
think
that
you,
you
do
come
to
the
microphone
with
the
best
of
intentions.
D
You
know,
and-
and
I
do
believe,
that
you
have
really
good
suggestions
so
to
try
to
address
the
three
percent
increase
that
you
just
referenced.
I
believe
that
we're
going
to
obtain
that
we
just
made
a
huge
investment
in
expanding
the
course
offerings
at
the
high
school,
going
from
an
eight
period
day
to
a
nine
period
day.
D
Part
of
the
rationale
was
that
you
know
that
was
going
to
allow
for
students
to
take
the
courses
necessary
to
graduate
on
time,
which
is
an
issue
I
I
would
absolutely
say
that
so
so
the
three
percent,
I
believe,
is
obtainable,
it's
just
my
opinion
and
and
and
I'm
giving
you
the
rationale
behind
it.
Of
course,
we
would
love
to
see
the
three
percent
increase
after
that
and
get
up
to
the
numbers
that
you're
that
you're
talking
about
you
know
I,
as
I
explained
the
last
time
we
talked
about
this.
D
We
have
some
very
unique
problems
here
in
brentwood,
not
problems.
Let's
not
let
me
that's
the
wrong
word
issues
with
we
have
we
have
challenges
different,
unique
challenges
in
our
community,
and
to
that
I
would
say
that
we
are
doing
everything
and
and
it's
unfortunate,
that
those
numbers
are
what
they
are,
but
I
do
believe
that
we
are
trying
to
address
those
challenges
in
the
best
way
possible.
D
I
do
believe
that
we
will
see
the
increase
and
we'll
see
we'll
see
you
next
time,
we'll
see
you
next
year,
mrs
there's
anything
that
you
want
to
answer
that.
C
Yeah,
I
agree
that
we
will
see
an
increase.
Certainly
the
nine
period
day
helps.
I
will
be
quite
honest,
mr
fritz.
I
find
it
incredibly.
I
I
think
it's
awful
that
you
refer
to
this
district
as
a
failing
district
and
be
quite
honest
with
you.
I
really
do.
I
think
it's
very
offensive
you
missed
fritz,
have
not
been
in
classrooms.
When
was
the
last
time
you
were
in
a
classroom,
I
was
in
five
classrooms
today
and
I
don't
see
a
failing
district.
C
I
see
I
see
fabulous,
fabulous,
wonderful,
kids,
learning
every
single
day.
I
see
tremendous
teachers
pouring
their
heart
and
souls
every
single
day.
I
see
this
this
district
as
second
to
none
you're
using
one
litmus
test.
It's
a
graduation
rate.
Let
me
tell
you
something:
we're
going
to
have
12
over
1200
graduates
across
the
stage
this
year.
We're
not
failing,
there's
a
whole
host
of
things.
We
can
do
better.
C
I
will
admit
that,
but
to
stand
at
the
mic
month
after
month
and
imply
that
we're
a
failing
district,
you
know
nothing,
zero,
I'm
in
classrooms
in
schools
every
day,
and
I
see
people
like,
I
said
pouring
their
heart
and
soul.
So
you
know
what
you
can
offend
me.
You
could
take
me
on
call
it
my
legacy,
like
you
said
last
month,
I
don't
give
a
crap
come
after
me,
but
now
I
find
it
offensive
that
you're
coming
after
I
have
3
500
people
that
work
in
this
district
and
they
are
not
failing.
C
Okay,
there's
a
lot
of
things
we
can
improve.
Miss
ortiz
and
I
spent
every
single
day
she
met
with
her
secondary
administrators.
Today
looked
at
the
failing
rates
they
are
going
to
improve,
but
to
say
that
we're
failing
I'm
sorry,
I
I
find
that
completely
offensive
and
to
compare
us
to
other
districts
is
also
offensive
because
we've
been
we've
been
dealing
with
that
since
I've
been
here
for
over
20
years
dealing
with
people
comparing
us
to
other
districts,
there
is
no
other
district
like
brentwood
and
it's
silly
for
somebody
who's
here.
C
For,
however,
many
years
you've
been
here
to
compare
us
to
another
district
right
down
the
road
to
look
at
their
their
their
economically
disadvantaged,
we
might
have
a
similar
numbers,
but
there
is
a
far
smaller
district
and
they
don't
have
the
immigrant
population,
which
you
should
know,
mr
fritz,
that
we
have
nowhere
near
it.
So
no
see
you're,
not
you're,
not
listening
to
me,
I'm
not
giving
excuses,
I'm
not
giving
excuses.
I'm
just
saying
I
find
it
offensive
that
you
call
us
a
failing
district
and
I've
had
you.
C
C
I
disagree
with
you,
okay,
but
I
am
trying
to
improve
it
and
I
think
I
have
the
people
in
place
to
get
it
done,
so
I'm
not
ignoring
it.
I
have
rose-colored
glasses,
but
I
really
don't
see
why
a
community
member
would
get
up
there
and
denigrate
their
own
community
in
such
an
offensive
way
month
and
month
out.
That's
all,
but
don't
get
me
wrong.
I
am
trying
to
improve
and
I
will
continue
to
try
to
improve.
D
Q
Good
afternoon
my
name
is
thomas
brentwood
resident,
sorry
to
hand
the
paper
right
away.
I
reached
out
to
a
few
people
in
the
brentwood
community,
thank
god
for
miss
young,
mr
lotion
and
a
few
other
people.
I
was
going
to
send
an
email,
I'm
just
trying
to
investigate.
My
niece
is
on
one
of
the
buses.
Q
I
don't
want
to
say
what
bus
number
just
yet
until
I
have
my
fax
correct,
I
think
there's
three
seat
belts
on
the
big
bus
if,
unless
they
can
correct
me,
might
be
two,
the
bus
is
definitely
to
my
knowledge
is
overcrowded.
As
a
former
bus
driver,
if
there's
an
accident,
the
district
will
be
responsible.
Q
I
also
reached
out
to
suffolk
transportation
notified
them.
I
was
going
to
write
a
letter
and
I'm
still
doing
my
investigation.
I
would
ask
the
district
to
see
if
these
buses
are
overcrowded.
Three
kids
in
one
seat
is
to
me
is
very
dangerous.
So
again,
I
would
urge
the
district
to
investigate
see.
What's
going
on.
None
of
these
buses
in
this
district
should
have
three
kids
proceed.
Q
D
Thank
you
so
much,
mr
wilson.
Next
time.
I
would
encourage
you
to
just
please
give
this
when
you
fill
it
out
to
the
district
clerks,
and
we
make
sure
that
you
know
your
voice
is
heard
again.
I'm
going
to
strongly
encourage
anyone
who
has
an
issue
like
the
one
that
you
just
presented
to
bring
it
forth
to
the
building
principle,
wherever
those
children
are
being
let
off
it
is
you
know
it
will
it
should
be
handled
at
that
level?
D
And
if
it's
not,
then
in
something
like
that,
you
should
be
contacting
building
administrators.
We
have
a
transportation
department.
Of
course
you
know
that's
something
that
they
would
look
into
and
thank
you
for
keeping
the
privacy
of
the
children
that
you
were
referencing
all
right
with.
That
being
said,
I
am
going
to
thank
everyone
for
participating
tonight.
I
think
we
have
done
really
good
things.
Thank
you
so
much.
Thank
you.
So
motion
to
adjourn
tonight's
meeting
motion
by
trustee
burgos
could
have
a
second
please.
