Description
A recording of the Brigade Community Meeting on 2022-01-04
A
Hello,
everybody
and
welcome
to
the
brigade
community
meeting
for
january
4th
2022
not
used
to
saying
that
yet
our
first
community
meeting
of
the
year-
and
we
have
a
lot
of
interesting
things
to
share
today
so
I'll
briefly
bring
up
the
agenda
and.
B
A
Okay,
so
our
first
item,
which
which
I
added
at
the
last
moment,
just
because
I
thought
it
was
especially
brag
worthy-
you
can
now
install
the
brigade,
cli
otherwise
known
as
brig
using
homebrew.
If
you
are
on
a
mac-
and
I
recently
learned
that
you
can
also
use
homebrew
on
some
linux
distributions,
so
that's
pretty
cool
too,
so
that
is
kind
of
exciting
it.
Just
you
know
I'm
just
kind
of
nerding
out
here,
oh-
and
I
see
I
think
bridget
is
editing
the
agenda
right
before
my
very
eyes.
A
Thank
you.
So,
since
we
last
met,
we
did
miss
one
regularly
scheduled
occurrence
of
this
meeting
because
of
the
holidays.
But
since
we
last
met
we
did
have
our
first
minor
release
of
brigade2,
so
that
was
brigade
v210.
A
I
want
to
address
why
we
had
a
minor
release
only
two
weeks
after
the
major
release-
and
it
was
you
know
basically
that
we've
been
following
through
on
whipping
each
of
the
gateways
into
shape
and,
as
we've
been
doing,
that
we
have
occasionally
discovered
a
bug
or
the
need
for
a
feature,
so
that
sends
us
back
to
brigade
to
get
that
taken
care
of.
A
We
expect
to
be
shipping
later
today,
there's
a
blog
post
already
drafted
and
ready
to
go
about
that,
and
once
again
it's
a
feature
that
we
in
this
case
wanted
more
so
than
needed,
but
it
was
also
a
critical
bug
fix.
There
will
be
more
details
on
both
of
those
in
the
blog
post.
A
So
since
we've
had
two
minor
releases
in
a
very
short
period
of
time,
I
think
it's
worth
you
know
addressing
the
plans
or
expectations
in
terms
of
release
cadence.
We
don't
at
this
time,
have
any
preset
release
schedule
that
we're
adhering
to
it's
pretty
much
releases
are
on
an
ad
hoc
basis.
A
So
as
we
find
the
need
for
features
that
we
have
already
added
that
are
sitting
there
in
the
the
tip
of
the
main
branch,
we're
going
to
just
go
ahead
and
release
so
we'll
see
a
lot
of
minor
releases
that
are
small
batches
of
small
incremental
improvements,
which
is
kind
of
just
the
way
just
the
way
we
like
it
right,
very
low
risk,
a
few
updates
on
gateways,
so
the
github
gateway
is
the
one
where
most
of
my
attention
has
gone
up
to
this
point,
because
I
feel
it's
probably
our
most
important
gateway.
A
It's
certainly
the
gateway
that
internally
we
have
exercised
the
most.
So
we
personally
get
a
lot
of
bang
for
our
buck
by
working
on
that
and
making
it
just
as
awesome
as
it
possibly
can
be,
but
I
think
that
this
can
probably
go
ga
within
the
next
couple
of
weeks.
Also
arturo,
who
is
a
a
cloud?
I'm
sorry,
not
arturo,
it's
jorge,
who
is
a
cloud
developer
advocate,
has
contributed
a
chrome
gateway,
so
that
just
needs.
A
You
know
the
the
edges
sanded
a
little
bit,
but
mostly
it's.
It's
really
good,
pretty
awesome
and
I
believe
he's
donating
that
and
we'll
move
it
over
to
the
brigade
core
organization
shortly.
The
only
other
announcement
that's
actually
on
the
agenda
is
something
that
nobody
really
planned,
for.
It
was
just
a
sort
of
a
happy
accident.
When
we
developed
the
plan
for
brigade
v2,
we
did
not
make
any
specific
plans
regarding
porting
koshi,
which
is
the
web
ui
from
v1x
over
to
v2.
A
There
was
no
specific
plan
for
that.
However,
over
the
break
I
started,
learning
react
just
because
my
front-end
development
skills
have
atrophied
to
a
frankly
pitiful
state,
so
I
felt
the
need
to
you
know
read
up
on
that
stuff
and
I
I
was
finding
reacts
to
be
so
wonderfully
easy
that
I
said
hey.
A
Why
not
just
have
a
go
at
implementing
kashti
a
v2
compatible
kashti,
that
is
with
react
and
it's
coming
along
at
a
very
quick
pace
actually,
but
I
am
new
to
react
so
you
know
if
anybody
has
more
experience
with
it
than
I
do
anyone
in
the
community.
A
C
Can
I
interrupt
oh
yeah
and-
and
you
can
contribute
too,
if
you
want,
contribute
actual
contributions?
Far
be
it
from
me.
I
know
a
bunch
of
react
specialists,
and
so,
if
you,
you
know
want
me
to
wire
them
up
and
maybe
they're
bored
in
the
new
year,
they're
all
refreshed
and
energized,
you.
C
A
I'll
do
that
yeah.
So
so
you
know
for
for
the
moment,
I
have
it
on
the
the
back
burner
and
I'm
working
on
it
just
as
time
allows
because
it
never
was
part
of
the
original
plan,
but
I'm
still
happy
to
say
that
it
is
now
a
thing
that
will
materialize
fully
at
some
point.
C
A
Chris,
so
that
covers
the
whole
agenda,
and
usually
we
have
time
set
aside
for
questions
from
the
community
as
well.
Is
there
anything
that
anybody
else
would
like
to
bring
up
bridget
or
karen.
D
I
mean
I,
I
guess
I
have
a
question,
but
we're
like
we
are.
We
also
have
a
meeting
on
thursday,
but
I
want
to
make
sure
it's
something
we
need
like
what?
Where
are
we
with
like
docs
and
like
someone
bridget
free
contacts
like
someone
from
the
aks
docs
team
reached
out
and
they're
like
hey,
like
I'm,
trying
to
see,
if
like
it
makes
sense
for
us
to
help.
D
D
A
D
Okay,
cool
yeah
just
want
to
get
the
ball
rolling
on
that
cool.
A
A
All
right:
well,
I
guess
that's
it,
so
I
believe,
let's
see
the
next
regularly
scheduled
occurrence
of
this
would
be
two
weeks
from
today.
So
I
think
that's
january
18th,
so
we
will
tentatively
see
everybody
then,
but
there
is
a
possibility
that
we
will
change
the
day
or
the
time
of
this.
We
will
of
course
make
sure
that
we
announce
that.
That's
because
jorge
has
noted
a
lot
of
interest
from
collaborators
that
that
he
has
worked
with.
Who
are
international
he's
got
some
people
in
brazil.
A
B
A
We're
we're
still
kind
of
working
it
out,
because
I
I
need
to
look
at
all
the
time
zones
involved
and
I
think
that
we
might
have
to
move
the
day
as
well,
because
if,
if
we
find
a
time
that
works
for
most
people,
it
might
not
still
work
on
tuesday
for,
for
myself
at
least
because
tuesday's
a
busy
day
for
me,
so
thursdays
or
wednesdays
might
possibly
be
better
I'll
I'll
I'll
talk
to
both
of
you
about
it
as
well,
because
I
don't
want
to
exclude
anybody
who's
already
regularly
attending
so
all
right
cool.
