A
Hi
everyone
today,
I'm
talking
about
the
budget,
camera
and
community
grants.
Council
has
adopted
the
annual
budget
for
2022,
slash
2023.
This
budget
will
help
us
deliver
much
needed
services
and
programs
for
our
communities
and
support
broombank's
recovery
from
the
effects
of
the
pandemic.
Thank
you.
Everyone
who
provided
comment
on
the
draft
budget,
the
158
written
submissions,
shows
our
community's
keen
interest
in
making
brinbank
better
and
this
month
my
fellow
counselors
and
I
attended
the
australian
local
government
association
national
general
assembly
in
canberra.
To
advocate
for
our
local
needs.
A
We
spotlighted
the
need
to
mitigate
noise
and
health
impacts
on
the
community
from
airport
development,
as
well
as
more
funding
and
access
to
mental
health
support.
We
reminded
the
federal
government
that
broombait
needs
more
support
to
recover
from
the
pandemic
and
its
impact
on
employment,
housing,
affordability
and
homelessness,
and
we
highlighted
the
need
for
increased
renewable
energy
to
support
sustainable
energy
outcomes.
A
I'm
excited
to
let
you
know
that
the
broombank
community
grants
program
is
now
open
for
applications.
Community
grants
help
deliver
projects
and
activities
that
benefit
our
community
grant.
Mining
workshops
are
available
and
applications
are
due
by
sunday,
the
14th
of
august
2022
bye
for
now
stay
safe
and
be
kind
to
each
other.
