This
month,
council
was
very
proud
to
adopt
its
2018
19
budget.
We
will
see
unprecedented
investment
in
the
health
and
well-being
of
our
community
12
point.
18
million
dollars
is
being
spent
in
our
sporting
facilities,
2.5
million
dollars.
Of
that
12
point,
18
million
dollars
is
being
spent
on
a
new
integrated
sports
pavilion
and
3
new
tennis
courts
and
Arrington
Reserve.
The
st.

Albans
one
point:
two:
three
million
dollars
for
female-friendly
change,
room
refurbishments
for
Kiel
or
softball

Parsons
reserve
football,
pavilion,
John,
McLeod
reserves,
Lionheart
reserve,
kill
or
lodge
reserve,
and
also
kill
or
footy
club.
Through
this
budget
we
are
proud
to
allocate
1.8
million
for
the
design
of
a
world-class
multi-generational
health
and
well-being
hub
to
replace
the
old
and
tired,
but
still
very
much
loved
San
Albans
leisure
center,
and
we
are
confident
that
we
have
garnered
the
support
of
all
our
MPs
to
move
forward
on
this
fantastic
multi-generational
project.
A
The
health
and
well-being
hub
will
include
a
new
Aquatic
and
Leisure
Centre.
As
well
as
other
services
that
will
work
in
collaboration
to
deliver
significant
and
measurable
health
outcomes
for
our
community
in
the
past
decade,
council
has
spent
more
than
five
hundred
million
dollars
improving
our
city,
and
this
budget
builds
on
this
investment.
With
fifty
nine
point,
six
1
million
dollars
to
be
spent
in
capital
works.
A
Some
of
the
highlights
of
this
spending
include
21.5
4
million
dollars
for
road
improvements,
new
footpaths
and
curb
replacements,
5.2
million
dollars
for
playgrounds
parks
and
five

one:
two
million
to
improve
our
town
centers,
three
million
to
improve
community
facilities
and
2.2
million
for
sustainability
projects.
The
budget
was
adopted
following
the
opportunity
for
community
feedback
and
reflected
community
input,
as
well
as
council's
vision
for
a
vibrant,
harmonious
and
welcoming
bring
Bank.
I
would
like
to
thank
everyone
for
their
feedback
on
the
budget.
