bicycle
education
center.

the
level

proposed
play,
equipment

activities
for
killer
park,
recreation
reserves,
suburbian
park,
upgrade
caters

all
ages,
groups

abilities.
It
is
also
provides
different
levels
of
play,
such
as
basket
swing,
muscle
instruments
and
a
spinner.
The
water

proposed
for
this

issue

Kansas
has
already
constructed
pedestrian
island
at
the

location,
along

straight

improve
pedestrian
safety.

council

constructing

islands
in
bursa
street
and
near
the
adelaide
and
sydney
streets,
construction
of
a
formal
pedestrian
crossing
in
first
the
street
and
the
exiting
pedestrian
island
near
the
anvia
station
east
of
lowering
street
is
also
being
considered.

bicycle
education
centre
offers
a
unique

special
educational
role
in
teaching
kids,

importance
of
australian
simulated
raw
roads
and
rules,
accreditation

traffic
laws

supervised

safe
setting.
Much
like
swimming
pools
in
our
recreation
centres.
All
children
in
brimbank
should
be
provided
the
opportunity
to
learn
to
ride
a
bike
through
our
very
own
bicycle
education
center.
The
only
difference
is
all
the
people
here
are
volunteers.

They
invest
time
because
they
are
passionate.
Any
income
they
make
is
gets
reinvested
back
into
that
centre.
I've
met
several
local
kids
from
local
high
schools
that
are
given
part-time
roles
and
their
first
bit
of
money
as
bicycle,
assemblers
and
assistants.
So
they
provide
opportunities
for
local
school
kids.
Maybe
then
they
run
inclusive
programs
providing
kids
with
disabilities,
the
opportunity
and
the
freedom
to
experience
cycling
on
modified
bikes
and
safe
surrounds.

side
struggled
for
nine
years
with
organising
this
event
in
john
street,
however,
now
has
been
able
to
run
a
copic
safe
event,
giving
kids,
teenagers,
adults
and
all
age
groups
a
chance
to
showcase
their
custom
bikes
and
participate
in
an
amazing
bike
race.

importance
to
provide
outdoor
events

this

I
feel
it's
not
unreasonable,

the
community
benefits

they
are

importance

kids
riding
bicycles
safely.

I
support
this
norm
and
commend
the
great
and
important
work
and
the
role
of
the

visited
this
center

number

times.
It

entirely
run
by
volunteers
who
put
their
mind
body
and
soul
into
the
center.

young
families

kids
with
a
disability.

know
an
inclusive
place
to
learn
vital
skills.
The
volunteers
at
the
center
are
extremely
passionate
and
work
really
hard
to
maintain
the
centre.
I'm
concerned,
without
enhancement,
thought
the
center
may
not
survive.
Therefore,
I
always
support
this
motion.

council
of

agreement

contract

a

these
nominations

community
groups

launched

fixed
holder
campaign.
Three
weeks
ago
on
the
24th
of
april,
I
was
joined
by
my
fellow
councillors
and
the
mayors
of
brimbank
hume
and
bullock
shire,
presenting
other
municipalities
that
are
also
demanding
upgrades
to
the
calder
freeway.

were
also
joined
by
the
han
natalie
hutchins
mp
state
member
for
sydney
and
mr
russell
mobile
president
of
the
calder
action
group
have
both
advocated
for
bear
calder
for
more
than
a
decade.
Our
demand
for
calder
is
make
it
safe,
get
it
moving
and
do
it
now,
as
it
tells
lakes
local.
I
know
how
important
the
calder
freeway
is
for
the
brimbank
community,
but
for
many
years
the
congestion
of
colder
has
been
getting
worse
and
the
standard
of
the
road
has
been
deteriorating
and
becoming
less
safe.

upgrades
infrastructure,
australia
has
that
by
2031
congestion
on
the
colder
will
cost
the
economy
100
million
dollars
per
year
as
melbourne's
west
and
north
rapidly
grows.

freeway
must

and

provide
better
access

connect

for

been
contributing
to
millions

dollars

kind

reforms

fantastic
work

whiteside
and
his
team

refuse

this
council
continue

carry
victoria's,
garbage
landfills
and
expansions
of
toxic
waste

sustainability
fund
and
the
state
government
appoints
the
sustainability
fund
to
pick
up
this
tab
our
community
should
not
have
to.

should
not
have
to
pay
through
our
rates
or
further
reforms.

deposit
scheme

we've
touched

before
will
enable
people
to
swap
empty
cans
and
bottles
for
cash

introduced

the
2022-2023
current
residential
curbside
waste

few
ways,
including
the
change
from
a
green
bin,
lead
to
a
red
thin
lid
to
align
with
the
rest

victoria.

Greenbank
has
the
highest
incidence
of
homelessness
in
melbourne's
west,
and
the
largest
number
of
people
are
accessing.
Specialist
homelessness
services
in
victoria
council's
efforts
to
respond
to
homelessness
are
guided
by
timelessness
implementation
plan,
which
seeks
to
undertake
advocacy
to
prevent
and
reduce
the
incidence
and
impact
of
homelessness.

Our
previous
experience
and
recent
developments
have
shown
that
homelessness
sector
is
not
sufficiently
resourced
to
meet
the
needs
of
everyone
who
needs
his
support
in
brimbank.
That
is
why
I'm
putting
forward
this
motion
to
call
on
the
state
and
federal
government
for
increase
and
also
consistent
support
prior
to
covert
19
crisis
research
commissioned
by
the
council,
found
that
up
to
80
people,
if
not
more
sleep
rough
on
any
given
night
in
brimbane.
In
the
past
few
months,
we
have
also
experienced
an
apparent
increase
in
the
prevalence
and
visibility
of
rust.

Rust
sleeping
in
rebar
homelessness
can
be
caused
by
a
range
of
structural
and
personal
factors,
including
housing,
affordability,
increase
in
rental,
insecure
employment,
mental
health,
family
violence
and
personal
trauma.
The
covert
19
crisis
has
exacerbated
many
of
these
factors
and
it
is
likely
that
homelessness
will
increase
as
government
support
is
reduced,
particularly
in
the
job
keeper
program,
higher
rates,
job
seeker
and
subsidised
hotel
accommodation
prior
to
covert
covert
19.
We
knew
that
homelessness
services
systems
were
severely
overstretched
in
greenback
and
melbourne's.

Additionally,
the
victorian
government's
homelessness
and
rough
sleeper
action
plan,
which
was
released
in
2018,
did
not
allocate
any
additional
funding
to
melbourne's
west
for
asserting
outreach
services
and
case
management.
More
recently,
local
homeless
homelessness
services
have
taken
on
more
clients
and
conducted
more
outreach
visits
without
increased
resources.

On,
on
a
more
positive
note,
I'm
encouraged
by
the
victorian
government's
big
housing
bill
plan
which
identifies
greenbank
as
a
priority
local
government
area.
However,
I
also
note
that
there
was
no
significant
investment
in
social
housing
from
the
federal
government
in
last
week's
budget.
In
conclusion,
the
federal
government
and
victorian
governments
provide
significant
leadership
and
support
throughout
this
copic
19
crisis.
However,
as
supports
have
been
wound
back,
we
are
now
seeing
increased
prevalence
and
visibility
of
homelessness
and
in
secure
housing
here
in
greenback.

Through
this
motion,
therefore,
I'm
calling
on
the
federal
victorian
government
to
increase
their
investment
in
homelessness
to
meet
the
extended
need
in
any
also
in
social
housing.
This
will
provide
a
much
needed
support
to
vulnerable
people
in
our
community,
while
also
supporting
a
fairer
and
more
equitable
recovery
from
covert
19
pandemic.

People

medical,
including
mental
health,
related
needs,
and
additional
resources
are
highly
required
in
greenbank,
not
only
to
deal
with
early
intervention
and
crisis
responses

homelessness,
but
also
to
prevent
members
of
our
community
from
becoming
homeless.
