Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
5th Session
41st Parliament
B
Mr.
speaker,
up
in
the
North
Shore,
we
take
Bonnie
Henry's
advice
seriously.
Outdoors
is
the
antidote
to
lockdown
people
hit
for
the
hills,
for
our
backyard
is
wilderness
Mike
thanks
team
leader
van
SR,
our
volunteer,
North
Shore
rescue
team,
told
me.
When
Kovac
restrictions
came
off.
There
was
a
dramatic
increase
in
call
volumes.
This
wasn't
just
for
recreational
hikers,
but
also
walk
away.
Dementia
patients
and
despondent,
potentially
suicidal
individuals,
as
for
hikers
many
are
not
prepared.
Ns
are
asked
them
to
follow
the
three
trees.
B
Three
T's
trip,
planning,
training
and
taking
trip
planning
means
researching
your
route
and
train,
checking
the
weather
and
telling
somebody
where
you
plan
to
go
even
now.
If
you
can
find
yourself
in
ice
and
snow
training
means
being
realistic
about
what
shape
you're
in.
Do
you
really
think
this
is
like
a
stroll
around
Stanley
Park?
Finally,
what
to
take
start
by
abandoning
the
flip-flops
and
the
cocktail
dresses
best
to
have
a
map?
How
about
spikes,
poles,
ice
axe,
rain
gear
and
warm
clothing?
A
cellphone
is
helpful,
but
not
always
reliable.
B
If
you
do
get
into
trouble
and
the
star
will
try
to
find
you,
but
Kovac
19
has
made
medical
rescues
more
complicated,
not
much
room
for
social
distancing
in
a
helicopter.
This
past
weekend,
anistar
performed
two
longline
extractions
using
a
helicopter.
Not
many
organizations
have
the
motto
saying
we
don't
really
want
you
as
a
customer.
Thank
you.
