Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
5th Session
41st Parliament
A
In
addition
to
addressing
individual
acts
of
racism,
we
should
also
recognize
that
systemic
racism
is
found
throughout
the
structures
of
our
institutions.
It
allowed
the
abduction
of
indigenous
children
into
residential
schools.
It
raised
black
communities
of
Africa
bill
in
Halifax
and
Hogan's
Alley
in
Vancouver
to
make
room
for
highways.
It
returned
away.
The
vessel
come
on
gotta
Maru
from
Vancouver
harbour,
along
with
its
desperate,
mostly
seek
passengers
around
it
up.
Canadian
Japanese,
including
129
from
the
Sunshine
Coast,
and
sent
them
to
internment
camps
and
stole
their
property.
A
Systemic
racism
creates
and
perpetuates
deep
inequality
in
our
society
and
results
in
poorer
health
and
well-being
outcomes
for
those
targeted
acknowledgement
of
the
shaft
nations
title
in
the
reassertion
of
rights
over
their
territory.
The
swap
is
part
of
British
Columbia's
process
of
reversing
the
effects
of
systemic
racism.
A
project
will
continue
to
pursue.
