Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
5th Session
41st Parliament
A
Remember
for
peace,
River
North!
Thank
you.
Mr.
speaker,
as
most
members
of
the
legislature
have
just
returned
from
the
pink
t-shirt
celebrations,
I
wish
to
provide
a
few
remarks
as
well.
Today
is
pink
t-shirt
day
a
day
where
people
across
our
country,
and
indeed
around
the
world,
stand
in
solidarity
against
bullying
and
intolerance.
The
idea
comes
from
two
incredible
high
school
students
in
nova
scotia
in
2007,
and
one
of
those
students
was.
We
were
honored
today
to
welcome
here,
travis
price.
A
It
makes
me
nervous,
but
we
need
to
have
those
conversations
with
our
young
people,
so
I
hope
that
you
do
support
this
great
cause.
Everybody
to
support
this
great
cause
by
wearing
pink
t-shirt
and
participate
in
an
activities
in
your
school,
your
workplace
and
in
your
community.
Together,
we
can
show
that
we,
as
British
Columbians,
will
continue
to
work
every
day,
not
just
on
pink
t-shirt
day
to
make
our
province,
and
indeed
our
country
a
safe
place.
For
everyone,
thank
you.
