The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
1st Session
42nd Parliament
A
A
Some
of
these
initiatives
provide
year-round
support
to
community
while
others
step
up
for
the
holidays.
These
organizations
provide
a
range
of
services
such
as
hot
lunch
programs,
meals
on
wheels
for
seniors
food
bank
services,
community
gardens,
cooking
programs,
harvest
share
and
holiday
hampers
in
the
expansive
riding
of
nelson
creston.
A
Several
organizations
provide
these
important
services,
including
the
caslow
food
cupboard,
selmo
community
service,
the
creston
ministerial
association,
creston
valley,
gleaners
valley,
community
services,
east
shore,
food
hamper
program,
the
south
kootenay,
like
community
services,
society,
the
nelson
community
food
center,
our
daily
bread,
the
salvation
army,
the
west
cuny
eco
society
and
the
nelson
youth
center,
we're
truly
blessed
to
have
so
many
organizations
supporting
our
communities
and
in
rural
areas.
We
rely
on
the
goodwill
and
neighbors
helping
neighbors.
A
These
initiatives
rely
on
private
donations,
student-led
projects,
the
generosity
of
local
businesses
and
grants
to
be
able
to
provide
to
those
in
need,
and
those
are
only
a
few
of
the
very
important
initiatives
that
are
happening
across
my
constituency,
this
holiday
season.
So
please
join
me
in
thanking
all
of
the
amazing
volunteers
and
service
providers
who
make
sure
that
everyone
has
a
joyful
holiday
season.
