Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
2nd Session
42nd Parliament
A
Member
for
richmond
south
centre.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
Thank
you,
mr
speaker.
Cigarette
butts
use,
face,
masks,
drink
bottles,
plastic
bags
and
styrofoam
containers
are
some
of
a
common
ice
source
residents
of
richmond
had
to
put
up
with
when
we
go
off.
A
stroll
garbage
in
our
community
is
not
only
unpleasant
to
look
at,
but
they
also
can
be
further
broken
down
into
smaller,
inorganic
materials
by
regular
human
activities
with
a
mild
wind
and
a
light
breeze.
Those
inorganic
materials
can
make
their
way
into
our
ecosystem
or,
worse,
yet,
food
system.
A
That's
why
I
want
to
take
a
moment
to
express
my
gratitude
to
a
small
group
of
young
adults,
kieran
wube,
jonathan,
chen
amy,
lee
emily
zhao
and
terry
chu.
They
are
a
board
of
directors
of
a
local
society
called
dialogue.
Richmond
dao
richmond
society
is
a
nonprofit
organization
with
a
goal
to
promote
inclusivity
and
connectedness
to
build
a
socially
responsible
community.
A
This
year
on
october,
2nd
and
11th,
based
on
the
theme
of
thanksgiving
dialogue,
richmond
hosted
the
second
annual
cling
richmond
clean
neighborhood
project.
The
clean
neighborhood
project
is
both
an
in-person
and
a
social
media
challenge
for
people
to
connect,
while
engaging
socially
responsible
by
asking
community
members
to
pick
up
litters
around
the
neighborhood.
A
A
I
also
want
to
take
a
moment
to
express
my
gratitude
to
our
local
elected
officials,
mla
for
richmond
neural
center
mla
for
richmond
steveston,
richmond
city
councilor,
bill
mcnulty,
richmond
city
council,
carol
day
and
richmond
city
council
carol,
michael
wolff.
It
is
truly
inspiring
to
witness
a
community
coming
together
to
beautify
and
to
better
our
neighborhood
together.
In
addition
to
the
ongoing
projects,
human
enrichment
is
another
project
they
are
working
on.
It
captures
a
different
different
memories,
attitude,
wisdom
and
life
experiences
that
richmond
diets
want
to
share.
