Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
2nd Session
42nd Parliament
A
A
Over
17
million
people
worldwide
are
living
with
cp
and,
despite
being
the
most
common
physical
disability
in
children
around
the
world,
many
people
still
don't
know
what
it
is.
Cp
is
a
complex
disability
that
can
affect
each
person
differently.
One
in
four
children
with
cp
cannot
talk.
One
in
four
children
cannot
walk.
One
in
two
children
have
an
intellectual
disability
and
one
in
four
have
epilepsy.
A
Today
I
encourage
everyone
to
help
us
spread
the
word
and
raise
awareness,
share
your
stories
and
show
your
support
on
social
media
using
the
hashtags
bc
for
cp
and
world
cp
day
share
photos
of
sites
in
your
community
that
are
lit
up
green.
We
have
16
landmarks
around
bc
that
will
be
joining
in
including
the
legislature.
