Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
2nd Session
42nd Parliament
A
Thank
you
honorable
speaker.
As
the
minister
mentioned,
the
bc
legislature,
fountain
will
be
lit
up
green
today
in
celebration
of
show
your
4-h
colors
day.
Honorable
speaker,
it
truly
is
an
honor
to
rise
today
to
speak
about
this
important
program
as
a
4-h
leader
for
over
10
years
and
a
4-h
parent
of
two
children
who
started
a
clover
buds
when
they
were
just
six.
It
truly
is
a
privilege
to
stand
in
the
legislature
today
to
speak
about
this
very
important
and
wonderful
association.
A
Show
your
4-h
colors
day
is
an
annual
celebration
of
4-h,
which
takes
place
across
canada.
Every
november
4-h
members
leaders
alumni
and
supporters
don
their
4-h
green
to
spread
awareness
of
this
fantastic
youth
program,
as
well
as
the
important
contribution
foragers
make
to
canada
and
the
globe.
4-H
is
not
just
about
agriculture,
though,
with
proud
and
deep
agricultural
roots.
4-H
projects
range
from
gardening,
dog
and
crafts
to
cattle,
swine
and
poultry
4-h.
A
A
Each
day,
members
learn
valuable
skills
like
communication
planning,
public
speaking
record
keeping
and
responsibility
just
to
name
a
few,
so
as
youth
around
the
world
pledge
their
head
to
clearer
thinking,
their
heart
to
greater
loyalty
and
their
hands
to
larger
service
and
their
health
to
better
living
for
their
club,
their
community
and
their
country
and
their
world,
a
pledge
which
represents
pride
in
their
heritage
and
the
importance
of
their
legacy.
I
honorable
speaker
can
say
that
the
4-h
youth
are
sure
a
service
to
the
world
and
contribute
positively
in
all
that
they
undertake.
