Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
3rd Session
42nd Parliament
A
Member
for
West
Vancouver
caplano,
thank
you.
Mr
Speaker
I
first
met
Carol
Ann
Reynolds
in
the
summer
of
2021
at
Dunder
Rave
beach
in
west
Vancouver,
to
celebrate
an
annual
event
that
she
began
and
hosted
called
royalty
by
the
Sea.
When
she
invited
me,
I
was
asked
to
wear
a
large
hat
and
bring
my
own
teacup.
So
as
I
sat
sipping
tea
wearing
my
finest
and
only
English
garden
party
hat
I
learned,
Carol
Ann
was
a
keen
supporter
of
the
British
Monarchy.
A
A
Now
when
it
came
to
her
reading
my
newsletters,
she
was
quick
to
point
out
grammatical
errors
and
I
soon
came
to
understand
that
I
would
not
take
these
comments.
Personally,
as
she
was
well
knowing
for
Handy
well
known
for
handing
out
notes
to
everyone.
Carol
Ann
worked
tirelessly
for
our
community
serving
on
committees,
boards,
foundations
and
societies,
and
this
work
did
not
go
unnoticed.
The
District
of
West
Vancouver
gave
her
a
Heritage
award
in
2001
and
bestowed
another
award
in
2015
for
civic
commitment.
A
I
saw
Caroline
at
the
West
Vancouver
Bridge
Festival
this
past
June,
and
we
chatted
for
a
few
minutes
and
I
said
I
would
reach
out
to
her,
but
Carol
Ann
Reynolds
passed
away
on
July
14th
of
this
year.
We
lost
a
community
force
and
treasure.
We
will
always
remember
her
for
leaving
our
community
a
much
richer
place.
Thank
you.
Mr
Speaker.
