The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
3rd Session
42nd Parliament

The
many
lives
that
cliff
touched
throughout
his
career
and
life
are
certainly
too
many
to
name
here.
Honorable
speaker,
cliff
is
survived
by
his
devoted
wife
dylas,
his
son
milton
daughter,
colleen,
step,
stepchildren,
kim
and
rock,
and
his
many
grandchildren
and
great-grandchildren,
and
my
heart
goes
out
to
all
of
those
close
to
cliff
and
feel
loss
in
his
passing.
A
I
recall
honorable
speaker
in
my
early
20s
during
a
family
dinner,
the
phone
ringing
back
in
the
day
when
there
was
a
phone
line,
you
didn't
have
a
cell
phone
at
the
table.
I
had
to
go
in
the
other
room
to
take
a
call,
and
I
had
my
my
dad
and
my
aunt
and
uncle
were
there
and,
as
I
got
back
to
the
dinner
table,
my
dad
seemed
quite
annoyed.
A
He
made
a
call
to
me
when
I
was
just
a
young
man,
only
20
years
of
age,
to
ask
me
about
the
tourism
industry
and
what
was
happening
in
sycamous
in
the
surrounding
community
and
it's
that
connection
to
the
community.
That
made
such
an
impression
on
me
as
a
young
man,
and
I
felt
so
proud
and
honored
to
come
back
to
the
table
and
to
let
my
dad
know
that
the
mla
actually
thought
that
I
was
important
enough
to
actually
give
a
call
to
to
look
for
my
opinion,
and
I
think,
honorable
speaker.
A
It
is
for
that
reason
that
cliff
michaels
was
an
amazing
man.
I
consider
him
a
friend
and
I
hope
that
the
house
please
join
me
in
passing
on
our
condolences
to
his
wife,
dylas
and
his
family.
