thank
you
very
much,
honorable

and
recently
I
attended
the
celebration
of
life
of
a
dear
friend,
an
incredible
pillar
of
the
Maple
Ridge
Community
Joanne
Foote.
Many
of
the
members
in
the
house
will
know
her
because
of
her
tireless
advocacy,
not
only
in
Maple
Ridge,
but
across
the
province.
A
Joanne
was
an
heu

for
30
years,
first,
getting
involved
in
her
local
executive
at
Hollywood
Manor
in
Maple
Ridge,
and
she
served
several
terms
on
the
provincial

and
was
a

of
the
heu's
indigenous
people.
Standing
committee
in

Joanne
was
awarded
the
hu
social
justice
award
for
activism
and
in
2017
she
won
the
grace
Hartman
award,
which
was
presented
to
a
QP
activist
who
embodies
the
qualities
and
Legacy
of
qp's.
A
At
her
celebration
of
life,
life
attendees
were
asked
to
bring
and
share
at
potluck
in
true
Joanne
fashion
and
in
her
obituary
in
lieu
of

people
were
asked
to

donations
to
the
food
bank.
She
leaves
behind
son
Cody,
along
with
many
friends
and
others
whose
lives
she
touched
and
changed
forever.
